Hello,

We are an adult, laid back community of gamers, that have enjoyed many kind of games over the years. We all are now spending a lot of time playing GW2, and would love to see some new members join us. Guild Leader

Well I have to admit, when I started playing, I went simple. A guardian, with heavy armor, power, vitality and toughness…well that was basic enough for me to understand and get into the game. Now that I have learned more about the game such as might, and conditions, I thought maybe there was more to the guardian.

This game has so many different variable depending on what traits , skill, and stats you have on item you carry. Nice aspect of the game, but a kittenallenging finding some great combos IMO.

So that is why I tried this build. Figured a plain ol’ tank was…as it sounds. Maybe I am wrong and should concentrate on a solid toughness and power hungry guardian. I don’t know.

I was being careful losing to much toughness, but you make a good point.

I did my best to read through a bunch of these posts. Good stuff here. I have played a guardian since I got the game. Have 500 unspent skill points if that says anything.

I was mostly the tank for a while, going strongly on toughness, vitality and some power. 10/ 0 / 30 / 30/ 0.

Now I am trying a new build using 0 / 0 / 20 / 20/ 30, making virtues my main stat.

I have the karma set Melandru giving the major toughness and condition duration. Most of my ascended gear is power/toughness/ vitality and some have healing power.

Now, though I can not take a beating anymore and need to pay more attention to dodging and moving around, the build has not been too bad. The retaliation constantly going off just about makes the targets kill themselves.

My main weapon swap is hammer and great sword.

Any thought or opinions on this build before I waste to much time with it?

Update…. We are up to 26 members now and slowly climbing. FYI… most of us are EST and get on late at night (8pm – 3am). Most of us have familys and don’t get on till after work and family time. We have some members from other time zones that fit in well with our time slot. I thought this knowledge would be useful, so you are not getting on early and wondering where everyone is.

We have also merged with another old guild that has a lot of time in MMO’s such as WOW and Star Wars. Many great and helpful members that love to help out anyone that needs it.

Just wanted to do a quick update on here. We have had a few people come and go because of time differences. Most of our members are * central and eastern time.* Most of the group seem to get on late, say 7-mid range, especially on weekend. This has to do with us being an older guild and having to work and take care of family.

A good half of the group are also collage age members that have work and school. Hope this save anyone not wasting time.

We have made it to 20 members. A nice comfortable group. Usually enough to form a party each night. Not some over overwhelming size guild that seems more like work then family.
