this feature already exists, junk bags are already in the game and simply going to any vender, merchent, or heart npc will give you the option to sell or sell all junk. this bag is the “Oiled Pack” item.
Ranges from 8 slot at 26c to 20 slot at 21g49s90c or you can craft your own.

With the addition of every new area including the expansion, the silver wastes, the dry top, and new chests we have been collecting many different types of keys to open different types of chests and depending what character you play that day those characters have different amounts of keys on each of them.
One day you will be on one character your group needs you to play and you knew you had 73 crow bars but when you go up to a airship box u cant open it and you say “Crap i know i have lots of these which character are they on again?” or you have made one tri-key and have 14 characters and 14 bank tabs. thats alot of slots to look through to find this one key to open the chest in lions arch.
All these keys are account bound already and transferable already why not make an Account Key Ring just like how we have the Account wide Wallet on the bottom of the Inventory Menu. the keys list from key parts to full keys to event keys to lock picks to the new expansion keys(pact crowbars, vials of chak acid, machetes, exalted keys) then there’s the bandit skeleton keys, Keys of greater Nightmares and the essence of nightmares and Tarnished keys in the Silverwastes and the zephyrite lockpick in Drytop. we have the Rolans key fragments and the rolans keys, skrit key fragments and the 2 part keys for wvw. The matrix cube key, the antherkey pieces, the completed antherkey, black lion chest keys, the list keeps going and my bags keep getting fuller of just the different amounts of keys i have to carry.
I would greatly appreciate the adaption of including the key ring or something of its likeness in the future so we can free up the space in our bags for the insane amount of drops that auto loot into my bags. plus the time saver of not having to go through every character to find the keys I’m looking for.
Thanks for taking the time to consider this request.
Arenanet has no interest in bringing the prices down. The higher price makes Gems > Gold more attractive, and that’s where they get their money from.
In addition to the items people want to buy, a reason for this is gold being more accessible. Everyone gets two gold in coin now for finishing their daily achievements, while dungeons are giving more gold again. Clearly, a lot of people are turning this influx of gold into gems via the exchange.
I must agree with this. as Anet has already given the main game away for free so to all the free to play ppl u get a great game and the ability to trade in gold for stuff u want in the store without ever spending a dime for any of the content. I expected the price to go up earlier then this and its been steadily increasing since launch. there are plenty of tutorials on the webs to get money quickly and the key to even real life purchases is to learn how to save for something you really want. Players can learn the skills to earn gold in game and save their gold so in 3 months time or less they can buy all the goodies they want later.
but for the ppl that are impulse buyers or the must have nows do to time limits then there’s the RL money to gems feature which also supports the game you play so it doesn’t go bankrupt and delete your character from existence.
It comes down to whats more important to you…money or time. if you dont have the money and have time to spend in the game then save your gold. if you cant play the game often but still want to get those cool sunglasses or a new glider skin then skip out on a couple coffees from Starbucks or don’t go out to eat 3 times in a month and save your money to buy gems. As for kids who dont have credit cards that is a horrible excuse, and kids can buy a VISA Debit card or similar card from Walmart or any gift card carrier and put cash on it and use it online without mommy or daddy ever knowing.
There’s a stream of YouTube videos of how young kids can make money by selling candy or snacks at school or other community acts that will enable an active kid to make some cash to use on a VISA Debit card to enable them to buy gems. or find GW2 Gem cards in game stores.
So whine all you want but I agree that GW2 should have high Gold to Gem prices and low Gem to Gold prices. I personally like supporting the game developers so I buy most of my gems with cash. Anet Is nice enough to give gamers an option which is by far better then most games on the market that force you to pay for their currency with only RL money.
We have ascended armor, weapons and accessories, why not our bags too? make them hold 30 slots. And the legendary ones can have the option of switching between each type of bag like equipment, to safe, to junk or whatever other bags there are making the bags have more customization to holding the items we need during certain missions or farming.
Also increasing the amount of bags we can carry would be nice as there’s an entire empty section below that could easily contain more slots. I, like many others, would be grateful to pay more money on gems to grab a few more slots to hold the amount of gear, consumables and toys that I want to carry with me.
Another great option to free up some space would to make a toy tab much like the mini pet tab and make all toys account bound via a tab so that we can pull out toys we buy on any character that we want to play on instead of returning to the bank and swapping the item onto another character. Or make the tab where each toy can be slotted to a quick select key combo so I don’t have to search every bag for the 1 toy icon I want to use. {ex: ctrl + 1 through ctrl + 9}
I’m well aware that there is an expansion, and that the expansion has raids. I don’t know if Anet is still trying to get the word out or what, but I don’t need to be reminded of gameplay that I don’t even access to.
The announcement for a raid that I can’t take part in isn’t doing me any favors, so I’d like it removed. It never should have been put there in the first place.
You have the entire main game for free, all the features with a few less starting bags. and your getting bent over an advertisement. i guess u could always just play with the UI off and u wouldnt have to look at it. or u can buy the expansion pack and it will go away. its gone way down in price from when i bought it too so i dont understand the complaint.
gave me time to make some food.
lol food, where you from mars?
i mean srsly.
so you dont eat food on earth?…u might not live very long eating nails and wood chips.
Make food for normal humans can mean making some popcorn, or reheating last nights dinner, or making easy mac and hot dogs. gamers got to have their munchies while they play. unless this game is your form of anerexia. where you dont eat anything while your playing the game. if mars is where gamers are alowed to eat chips and drink water while gamining then i will say im from mars. plus men are from mars right?
way late to this thread but if the devs do re read this some day maybe they will see its time for another revise for the LFG tool,
1 add sub categries to the title of the post like map name, dungeon, raid, etc. (there are too many crap titles or lingo used that few understand)(some say “path 3” and its posted in living world section like why is it there?)
2 make merging parties a two step process so it will eliminate accidental merges…like right click on name of poster then select merge parties.
3 stop auto kicking lfg posters when one person joins and leaves instantly.
The only real true solution to this is to terminate gear tiers.
?uh what so u mean all blue, green, yellow, gold, pink and purples should all be white? or all should be purple? purple being legendary, pink acended and same high stats as legendary but non interchangable. gold being exotic and the most used gear for new players. greens and blues are there mainly for basic gear untill u get exotics, for salvaging items(ie mats, luck, runes) and to increese your AP. and whites are well useless. so I dont see how eliminating the tier colors would help at all in this game. for high level you have acended and legendary and theres technically no difference in stats just the useability.
unlike in other games where u have tier 1-9 gear which doesnt exist in GW2.
I dont think hardmode should grant better rewards, the challenge and possibly titles should be the reward. .
I think it should give a better reward..at least the rich noods everywhere..bcs if there are only disadvantages to go to hardmode..only a few people would go there….very much player only play for reward..not for fun.
i said this in some other replys in this same thread:
hardmode in open world should stay same loot table, same MF as normal mode. there should be new hardmode titles, there should be only rich nodes on the map, mobs should have 100% more hp, 50% more dps, 100% faster respawn time. there should be large groups of mobs that spawn and fight together. completely remove telegraphs. and add more attack variations for mobs.
the shear number of mobs means there will be alot more loot dropping than in normal mode. you dont need better loot in a lvl1-10 map in hard mode u need more chances to get better loot on a drop. so if you only have a 1% chance on drop to get a yellow, and it takes you 30 secs inbetween killing a mob to find another one, then it would be alot faster to go through 100 mobs in hardmode with a group then to kill 100 mobs solo in normal mode.
this game is group oriented. yes you can play solo but this game is about community if you want a challenging solo only game go check out a non mmorpg. theres supposed to be the fun factor of meeting up with another random person who has the same goals as u and then team up and defeat the enemies. but to through that out because a zerker has more dps then a healer druid or guardian and complain that they kill it too fast seems out of place. they recently added that healers or buffers get just as much exp as the zerkers and heavy dps tankers as their job is to stay away from close combat and heal everyone.
each character has traits and respecing is needed so if u play a less dps build then switch to a high dps build for your character then those zerkers will be just like you.
anyway if you want a challege you shouldnt have to require more loot to do a challenge it should be an option. someppl might not like to do hard mode but if its the only way to get that precursor then they will have to play part of the game they hate playing to get it and that i think is stupid. the new legendary mastery fixed this anyway. it should be about brag rights and titles to back them up.
I’m not sure if Anet has answered this or not but I don’t see why Anet has not made an easy/hard mode for the instanced content of Raids, Dungeons/Fractals & Story.
-uh story dungeons are easy mode, and the path dungeons are a harder mode
-Fractals increase in dificulty as you go further down the level….so i dont see your point there either.
-Raids are set to hardmode as they are brand new and you already need to be lvl80+ with new content and masteries inorder to use some of the mechanics.
-As for story…there shouldnt be a hard mode…story is the first time play through of that character.
this is why this is a thread about open world hardmode not instance based.
Simple.
Remove timers as a failing mechanic and use it as a reward mechanic.
Example: “beat the boss in 2min or fail” changes to “defeat the boss in 2min and get bonus loot”.
Now people can go into the pve mode however they want and perhaps beat the boss, while more engaged players will think on comp and builds to synergize and beat the encounter for bonus loot.
Or add an optional event that happens during the main that if complete it, or prevent it from failing during the main event, bonus loot.
i have to agree with the others that have replied to this post. there should be a timelimit it forces coordination and keeps people to do their job quickly. taking an hour to complete the same task to get basically the same reward as the 5 min timer seems utterly dumb.
If you still wanted the reward mechanic then adding a faster time say if the boss requires you to beat it in 5 mins or u fail then that should stay, but if you beat it in 2 mins you get a loot bonus. that i could see as a more challenging and rewarding way to suggest this idea….however this will then create groups of elite players to farm the boss and all the newbies will have to fight with the lesser experts to learn the mechanics and know how to defeat the boss faster.
So in normal mode – I say only ‘blues’ should drop at 300% MF.
Anything more would be outrageous.
Map progression should also be capped at 50%
All nodes (harvesting) should also be removed.‘Hard’ mode – has the existing MF Rate – and other stuff.
Uh… did you even think about what you said before posting this?
lets go backwards:
1 All nodes taken out in normal maps? so in hardmode u want to farm all that copper? to make all those lvl 5 weapons? How are u going to get crafting to 500 for acended gear if you cant craft without nodes? because u need acended gear or exotic gear to play in hard mode and survive. unless you want all casual players to only be able to buy mats on the auction house?
2 Map progression stops at 50%? what if 50% requires half of a vista how do u cut it in half? secondly this stops leveling progression and map completion and world map completion. to have to go back after u finally reach lvl 80 to replay every map again just to get map completion bonus would be stupid. for leving up those map completion bonuses give you tons of exp…this would also leave a random half of the map worthless to explore untill u reach high eneough level to produce high level gear for hard mode.
3 Normal mode should only drop blues at 300% MF…? are you crazy…i think you are. i am a vet player(played since beta) i dont have but around 200% MF and your telling me that i would only get white drops and trash drops in a normal mode map? Blue and green drops are what give luck when salvaged…how the eff can u get to 300% MF if you cant even get any luck drops from salvaging.
My thoughts…tpmn =troll
Hard mode should have the same MF and loot table as normal mode. Normal mode should stay as it is now. There should be hardmode titles. more mobs in hardmode, more difficult mobs, no telegraphs, keep level reduction the same but increase mob hp by 100% , dmg by 50% and respawn rate by 100%. maybe take out all the basic nodes and only have rich nodes scattered through out the map. (yes even rich plants and trees.)
It would be a fun way to group up and loot farm in all maps or to try solo against much harder mobs to actually use dodging and aoe placement skills to survive. all players should have access even if their gear is all blue maybe hardmode is to easy for some and someplayers may want to make a video on how to farm hardmode with blue gear…who knows.
a simple solution would just to make Chanels available to the players so the player can meet up in channel 1,2,3 normal mode exploration, channel 4,5,6 could be for hard mode maps. granted the problem with this idea is all the vetrens would then go to 4,5,6 and the 1,2,3 maps would be scarce with all new or casual players. possibly make just 1 or 2 maps for hard mode and have a Q time so it still forces vets to interact with the newbies.
overall channels in general would be more useful then having to taxi in LFG all day long. Player taxing shouldnt be necessary.
and the party group spawning still is bad as it always sends my party members to seperate maps and we all have to taxi ourselves to one players map. if we could just say everyone go to Ch. 4 it would fix that problem.
quick edit: I dont think hardmode should grant better rewards, the challenge and possibly titles should be the reward. this way allows for the players who want more of a challenge then to stand still and mash the 1 2 3 buttons to kill something. Adding more advance attacks to mobs in hardmode would also be ideal…or just take away any telegraphs as those are an addition to action combat for newbs. real combats you need to read the enemy not the ground.

i really had no issue. i guess if your super excited to play asap then it would feel like forever. but i have verizon fios and it downloded in less than 10mins for me. gave me time to make some food.
Commander Tags, LFG, How to improve. [Merged]
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: DeadlyDohnut.7052
I have to agree the program needs much more improvements. the subcategories you mention are needed and also if they could stop theremoval of a LFG request everytime someone accidently joins your group then leaves which then boots you out of the list. the merge parties so far only causes problems there should be like a drop down menu after clicking on another party to then have the option to merge parties. I get constant mergers for fractal runs or SW chest runs when Im not doing either of those.
The lfg map area should be a subcategory because everyone just puts in any open world party in the general living world section. even dungeons with no names.
maybe make a selection tool before posting to require location/dungeon/ pvp area/ etc. before being able to post a group like the way you can put what language is spoken. maybe add atleast icons to indicate dungeon, raid, open world boss runs…
lfg is a great tool for use just wish it would be user friendly. I still like the overview of all groups maybe make a tab for a complete list which may change your mind to play say a dungeon or join a world boss group instead of doing fractals.
@Xbon, the time from falling off to running back up the steps is at most 6secs…then im back to shooting my arrow or using my staff or wond again and again and again. if u call it fun standing still and spamming the same attack then thats ur opinion but that doesnt feel like an epic battle to me.theres more tactics in fighting normal pve enemies then that boss.
I’m sure there are many other players that feel the same way as me that the untouched big boss fights other than an increase in hp are all still won the same exact way with the same exact stand still positions. why not make it more fun like some of the mini dungeon bosses. Those take skill and require actual thought process other then standing still and spamming skills for 10mins.
Below are some of the big bosses that I thought could use some help to make the players move and actually do something in the battle other then stand and spam:
Inquest Golem Mark II on theObservation Platform XKV.
1) Please get rid of the 3 canisters or boxes on the south east corner of the platform. all the long ranged attackers stand and spam untill it dies, even the small dmg and random blowback doesnt hamper that position.
2) Please add 3 Inquest opperated turrets on the 3 hills surrounding the platforms and aim them at the 3 corners of the platform. players must have to hold those possitions to keep other players safe from the attacks. now the mechanic of the golem you already have in place will be used correctly forcing players to actually move to the safe spots on the platform.
MegaDestroyer in Malestorm’s Core.
1) 90% of the players stand on the 2 jutting out rock ledges to get close enought to attack the destroyer. Please make them crumble after the destroyer goes under the lava and reappear at a random spot around the edge.
2) Due to the megaserver now theres always plenty of people at the boss why not scale up with the amount of players and add more flying destroyers to kill instead of just 3 make 6 or 9. add mor little guys that spawn out of every lava area instead of the same 3 or 4 main spawns points.
Legendary Karka Queen
1) other then its random location it really doesnt feel like a legendary boss to kill. there is close to 0 movement once she spawns. eveyone stands and spams skills untill she dies and she dies really fast. pleas add some karka that spwan from behind the mob of attackers. spawn some champions to defend the legendary. it really needs to feel like it was a close battle not “oh that was quick thanks for the loot cant wait to get more easy loot again.”
2) Please add a spin tactic that gives a heavy knock back pushing attackers away. Please add some type of jump move that aims for the mass of attackers to squash putting people into down state. make the legendary worth being called a legendary.
Shadow Behemoth
1) This is actully been well upgraded but if you could just make thoserocks that fall in those red circles to instantly down players it would be much better.
The Shatterer
1) Please comepletely remove the hill next to The Shatterers right feet. 95% of players stand there and spam skills. that is the entire batle spam spam spam….spam. for some epic looking dragon he gets taken down way to easily. Challenge us!
2) Add some spikes that shoot down at mass groups and explode doing mass dmg to mass grouping groups.
3) Please add some actual tactics to this boss. like say shooting the left foot with the turret has weakened an area now the players need to hit that glowing spot to deal most dmg. Make the turrets worth more to keep up and have a way to repair the turrets. Add a wall created by the draagon to fend off the turrets. Doing regular dmg standing next to a leg for 10mins should not be the epic battle. please make it more tactical and fun.
I have run out of time to talk about more but hopefully you have gotten my point. PLEASE ADD TACTICS to boss fights. I am rather bored killing the bosses just standing still make me work for the loot.

It’s not that we just want a bunch of maps to play its that we want to explore all of proffecies all of factions and all of nightfall…and at the rate of the amount they release it will be 20 years down the road before they ever get to any nightfall maps. and we all know this game is barely sustainable right now let alone 20 more years down the road.
I played the beta during the weekend for a grand total of 3 hrs before I became incredibly bored. I explored every inch of the map that they allowed us to explore and even got to glide around a bit I killed every type of monster and all it felt like was just one big grinding map. you have to grind kills to unlock gliding then grind more kills to unlock the next teir of gliding…then continue killing things until u need to spend 1 point on upgrading then do it all over again. I was expecting it to be a bit more intuative like gliding to a location u can only get to by gliding and that would gain u exp toward gliding ability…nope its just killing more mobs over and over and over. there was only 1 of the 3 new mini games available to play during it and it was the same one featured on every video for the expansion. to be honest it wasnt even that fun and kitten near impossible to get 139kills in 3mins when i could barely get 40. theres loads about that mini game that make it impossible like the respawn rate is to slow and the bombs knock u down for 3-5secs, also the bombs do not blow up any of the worms. but that mini game really doesnt matter much. its the entirety of the masteries. the only way this expansion will feel exspansive is if the devs utilize the masteries in ALL other maps already in the game. If all the masteries are tied to that one map it will mean I spent 50 bucks on another 2-6week content area like the drytop which was free and had story missions and unique movement abilities and pretty good bosses and content.
So far from what I have experienced with the new class revenant is that it is way underpowered and squishier than my paper elementalist. I cant believe they made a heavy class die so fast in pve let alone pvp. I spent many hours farming and hording level up scrolls and exp boosters for this awesome new class only to play it and find out how horrible it plays. (i have 2 warriors and 2 guardians all lvl 80 as well as 2 elementalists a nec, a ranger, 2 mesmers and a sin. but whos counting alts here.)
Now if they dont make the map 10x bigger then the beta showed then yes I will be quite disappointed. because the amount of actual fun content is very lacking. and the only way to compensate that is to see better I even tried climbing on the roots of the vines which lead no where and certain death. so the “Depth” for hieght and virtcal ness of the map they shows felt much smaller then the underground puzzle in Silverwastes.
Overall the beta felt more like a pre-alpha state. and I hope they dont release it as is anytime soon…becuase right now I wouldnt play the map longer then 3hours.
I am sure the duplicate Orphan letter sent out to many players has nothing to do with any compromised accounts. You can safely destroy the letter, and its contents, should you so desire.
Good luck.
well if you say so then i guess its all just a huge coincidence that several of my guildies all got this email opened it and are now banned from the game
but since u said it was ok i will open it…no thanks, id prefer anet recall the mail.
multiple sub classes and new weapon skills that can be swapped out in slots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 is all that needs to really change. also make it possible to save traits, specific weapons. armor and other gear all to 1 saved build so we can do some quick swaps when out of combat….otherwise right now it takes about 5mins or more to do all the switching if you know exactly which ones you need. at the moment i have no use for equipment bags i only use invisible bags and regular bags.
anyway id love to see more options for the classes we already have and if they could make subclasses that would implement old classes like dervish, ritualist, and paragon.
i love my necromancer but the minnion system needs a lot of work the conditions are only so good as stacks of conditions in big groups likely make your stacks obsolete. so adding ritualist to the spirit section would be awesome since theres really only 2 useful spirits that the nec has.
i like the urn changing of skills and the aoe on ground or when dropped idea. also the buffing idea of an urn like that of a banner or trait icon.
if a warrior had the ability to wield a two handed scythe to do sweeps and similair melee oriented skills that would be better then creating a whole nother character, those mana related gw1 dervish skills could be spread out to the necromancer.
picking a sub class line would open up a new panel of skills for adding to slots 1-0. there is so much potential to adding to the original classes and making the system so much better….
adding an entire nother profession will be new for a week then bleh…again with the same old and restricted skill base and weapons.
the skills for each weapons needs to be more selective cause if the skills on said sword are not how u want to build your character you are no longer wanting to use that sword and then are dejected to using an axe or a scepter with better skills but lest dps…
I want to use the weapons i choose with the build i created with skills that will properly work with my traits ive chosen.
but thats not allowed unlike any other game u can use any of the multiple skills for a specific weapon where gw2 restricts u to 5 skills ever and in gw1 it was 30-50 skills for that weapon for the profession…..why not go back to having more skills.
say for example a ranger could have a a poison signet, a burning arrow, a 100% crit dmg arrow if enemy is burning, (a cripple/bleeding/poison) arrow combo for slot 1
i dunno there ’s a lot one could do if they could customize their skill bar.
Title of the Email is “Please Help Us”, it looks identical to the one sent out 2 weeks ago by anet, green star and all. screen shot shows the hack email sent to me 5days ago and u can see the email u sent 3 emails under with same title. my friend in real life Steve Ashley Jr. (Silverthe Wise Wolf) in the game and several other of my guild mates in KARMA on the SBI server have been hacked and their account was suspended by ANET after taking the “letter” and viewing the fake content. I was lucky enough to not care about getting a duplicate email with the same item i already have so i disregarded it and this is undeletable….PLEASE DELETE this email from MY account so I don’t get hacked too.
I hope others see this and do not open this item in the email from 5 days ago. (1-1-2015)
It’s just something else to do, don’t people already do the same “Dulfy Guides” for achievements and existing collections? alot of people will do it asap cause they just want the loot. Not every player will grind out all the collections. this is simply a concept idea and hopefully a start to implementing new skills into GW2 since GW2 lacks skill variety after GW1.
Profession Ideas
- Rangers profession be one the fastest ways to get it with their pets that drop environmental weapons. makes it so all weapons can be lobbed at an enemy, used in a boomerang fashion, or made to splinter on hit and do damage to enemies in the area. this would make rangers pets who do drop environmental weapons more useful for other players esp when they will have their professional skill for each one.
- Thieves can steal environmental weapons from attackers. have some environmental weapons that grant aoe invisibility to surrounding players.
- Elementalists could add elements to each weapon depending on which attunement they are on.
- Guardians could add possible aoe heal on hit or when given to drink the elixir to spread the same effect on players around him.
-Mesmer could add like a barrage of cloned items throne at the enemy Like picking up a rock and throwing it would turn into 3 rocks 2 being cloned versions. or when there’s an item there could be option 2 to drop multiple clones of that item so others could pick it up.
- Necromancer could have the ability to add conditions to the weapons
- Warrior could make it where the item used is increased in size and dmg. so a boulder would turn into a huge rock when thrown hits and knocks down the enemy and all close enemies. A mere branch would turn into a giant great sword able to sweep through groups of enemies.
you could even go as far as profession and race effect the weapon skill you get from each environmental weapon
- like a Sylvari ranger could use a branch by throwing it at an enemy and ti boomerangs and hits 3 enemies ensnaring them all in vines for a second or two
- Asuran mesmer conjuring up 3 golem bots that attack the enemy from the elemental weapon used
- Norn warrior where using a weapon would rush you forward like the bear rush knocking enemies out of the way.
the possibilities of making cool and unique skills are here and being that most environmental weapons are random and only in certain areas unless there is a ranger in the group make it interesting and different. it could add a little bit of randomness to the game.
I really hope GW2 team creates some new skills soon…
I already searched forums with search bar I couldn’t find anything on this topic so I’m making one.
Enviromental Weapon Usage as a Collection
- Just like the collections of rare and odd items and treasures found in the world from karma venders, I was thinking giving the environmental weapons more use. I for one love the idea of environmental weapons and like using them just for fun. But as I have noticed rarely do I see anyone else ever use them unless I’m telling a new player to pick it up and use it.
- So my thought is why not draw more attention to these weapons. Being that they are all over the place already, why not make a collection from it. Just like collecting exotic weapons you could make a list of elemental weapons found and used. This will get those explorer Gamer types to not only use the weapons but get rewarded for doing so. Who knows they might even find that these weapons are fun to use.
- Also more evolved Environmental weapons could be created. Like the example of an elementalist picking up a boulder in comparison to a warrior. the Elementalist can choose to rain down a fiery rock where a warrior can only throw it. Why not make each environmental weapon have a unique effect for each profession. This could also be used for collections as you could say to use every Guardian environmental weapon skill to be rewarded a chest and so on with all of the professions.
This would be a huge time consuming ordeal but make explorers like me thrilled at collecting yet another cool thing other then just items. this will get collectors to want to have different characters in order to get the different collections. This requires alts so that alt character slots (revenue) would need to be bought if that player doesn’t already have every character.
This may not be a gold or karma sink but it takes a lot of time and gives players more things to do and discover. and we could see some cool new skills with out imbalancing anything.

Try revisiting the Chantry of secrets. That has worked for some players with the same issue.
I had a similar issue. logging in would say 100% map completion. In the game it said 99% map completion and that i was missing 1 POI. In Bloodtide Coast it shows 100% map completion and i even got the chest for the completion.
But the thing I didn’t know was inside the instance Chantry of Secrets is 1 solo POI that just happens to count for map completion.
So I now have my 2 gifts yay after spending many extra silver checking every map several times…
Why is there not any clothing like Alastia Crow’s garmets?, she may be a ghost but kitten she has the best looking gear.
ty for listening i can play now
lol really i have been playing gw2 since beta, i have 6 characters 3 lvl 80s a 68 a 41, and a 31. i am a gw1 vet played and still play gw1 for the last 7 years. ive reported several bugs and do help out every now and then on the forums with questions i have answers to or suggestions i agree with. so now that you know me a little better. i have never had 1 log in issue since release. Im crying here, my friends can get on the game, but i cant…waaa why. it gets to the loading screen or update screen stays at 0% nothing loads ive restarted the program ive restarted my computer ive restarted my router ive pleaded and prayed and crossed my fingers but it will not load. so untill this gets fixed i guess ill just play borderlands 2.
In the Snowden Drifts area just south west of the <Snowdrift Waypoint>…is The Bridge in the manifesto(2:18) there is an event that destroy the bridge and an event that repairs the bridge. after the 1 small easy event to gather wood is completed the bridge is magically built in 10 secs after 6 hammar strikes. granted this bridge does not hamper travel for a player and a player can easily go around or use a waypoint.
To make this a bit more fun and a bit more reasonable i’d propose that this bridge repair event, along with many others in the game, be a group event where players must chop down trees to collect enough would to repair a wood bridge or retrieve metal from a nearby enemy town for metal bridges where the player has to carry the bundle to the bridge and return to get another bundle. this would create a need for more players to get the bundles to the bridge workers quickly. there should be a raid of enemies that attack and kill the workers on both sides of the bridge and both sides should have a “progress meter” to see how much more wood or metal is needed. it would be nice to see the progress made on each side as the materials are delivered, say half of the materials of side A are in then 1/4 of the bridge is built and also can be targeted by enemy raids. and to make it worth wild of an actual world changing event the 2 closest waypoints should be “contested” until the bridge is back in opperation. this would make it neccesary for people in the map to finnish this event if they want to be able to use the waypoints. (Snowdrift waypoint) and (Frozen Sweeps Waypoint) for this bridge.
lol yeh thats the world changing bridge…thanks…what a joke
they hammar 2 times and magically an entire bridge appears in secs
wow went unanswered for 6 months…and yes there is still no home instance…weird.
I cant find the falling wooden bridge in the gw2 manefesto so i was wondering if someone could tell me where this world changing bridge is. its 2 mins 18 secs into the video. if someone knows id be very thankful if you could guide me to the right location.
actually i like this feature, though annoying at times it makes sence. not many people i know can run full speed when hurt. that and running from combat makes you a bit of a coward. simply dodge the attack or kill the enemy or dont aggro it…yes this means some player skill is actually involved.
Imagine a gaming revolution where you no longer need language specific servers, where your party of 5 could each speak and read completely different languages and still comunicate as if they understood all 5 languages. Imagine you as a gamer reading the all chat with everyone typing in your language. there would be no “left out” feeling or asking for translations or having to use third party webstites like google to translated a sentence for you.
A program like this would revolutionize gaming accross all platforms. and it doesnt have to stop there a program like this could help in any language barrier indestry. The implications and money to be made on such a program could be endless.
I do not possess the skills to make such a program but im betting there are a few people that you have hired that could created such a masterpeice of technology.
to write a program that will auto translate all written text comming into a terminal into the desired language picked in the options menu.
so say i have all my information set to english, this means what if anyone PMs, Emailes, chats in the chat window, NPC chat log, and other game related text would all be automatically changed to english before popping up on my screen. this could work alot like the implemented system for cuss words where they are blocked or changed into “kitten” before they can be seen by others. there could be the option for translation on/off. so those that still want to see all the languages can.
this could allow say a german, french, chinese, english, and mexican player group to work together without a language barrier keeping them from playing with the other do to no comunication.
This program will only increase you player base and increase the feeling of a huger community. PLease Please take this idea seriously as id pay for the game all over again if it had this program integrated into the game.
Does this sound like a Possible program that any other gamers would also like to have implemented if someone were to create it and it work properly?
i agree the devs originally made it so it would take a person a long time to get the legendary of choice…but buying it straight up for gold doesnt make it an ultimate weapon of hard work. I think legendaries should be the reward of the most supportive hard working gamers. im a casual gamer and i used to be a huge GW2 fan (but im so bored and theres just not many people around to do events anymore.) anyway you shouldnt be able to pull out a wad of cash or farm gold for days just to get a weapon of this magnitude. there should be only ingame items that are account bound that are needed to aquire such a weapon. they should all be rare items and from across the entire map. that way the beholder of these weapons will be respected because of the work they had to do to get it. as to make money in the item shop why not make weapon skins available like armor skins, just dont put up the same legendary skins on the shop. and there are alot of pple gold farming just for these weapons which makes the pve pvp and wvw areas hurt with people doing actual content.
i agree with mogar for #7
Who could possibly think taxes are a great idea…anyone here like paying taxes on anything you buy, on any paycheck you get? why would i then want to be forced to a tax from a guild that rarely helps me out. there are guilds that im in just for wvw and others just for pve related content like guild missions and jump puzzles. if a guild wants to gather money and the guild members like their guild then they will support it. the bank has an option for dipositing money into the guild and not being withdrawn by anyone but the guild leaders. if there was a tax do you know how many people would up and leave those guilds…all but the leaders who would be relishing in lots of money cause would they tax themselves? what government do you know actually taxes themselves when they get paid by the taxes you pay?
But as for the main question….no it would not be cool cause if you cant learn how to save money by going to a town and depositing money to your bank then you might as well be 1 really lazy cat or a hacker that wants to make it incredibly easy to farm gold. this would make a bot never have to go to the bank, but if you can actually get to the point of holding a 1000 gold on you and you just cant bare to port to a town to deposit your money or dont want to spend the 2 silver or u can port for free to WvW or The Mists and deposit your 1000 gold then this gold percentage to bank might come in handy….but if its implemented over the other Top 50 things that need to be fixed first i will burn this game in a bonfire.
it is a problem to some people, but i have no problem finding the armor im searching for. if you know what you want say you want rampagers gear for lvl 80, and you want all yellow gear then type in “rampager” select “80 to 80” check the yellow only slot then check the only available option, and bam you have 1 page to sort through. or if you know the exact name of the armor then type that in and u will get only a few results and if u cant find your gear in that small selection…then get better glasses. its really not that hard.
sexual content requires nudity, sexual acts, or clothes deemed sexual like clothes that outline the “toes” or are made spicifically for sexual gratification.
Suggestive Themes would be more like bikinis, bras, underwear, winking, sexy dances, GW1 had some decent clothes for the skimpy fans…why not bring more into GW2.
for all you parents that are fighting agianst this for your 13 yr olds childs eyes…im sry to tell you but they have already seen women in all their glory and so seeing a girl clothed all the time would actually be a step up for them. as for female 13 yr olds…they shouldnt care as they can look in the mirror. its not like there will be an only sock outfit for the males. i see no problem with a few skimpy eye candies…i dont play humans cause i am one thats not a very big fantasy to me or id just play as myself. I play charr, Asura, and sylvari…plus after 7 years of being a human in gw1 why would i want to be one.
well the personal story really doesnt feel all that personal anyway…they have alot to improve on. they said there was virtually unlimited different variations…where really they are all basically the same we all follow the same basic path and all fight the same battles its more like 3 different paths that are parellel and cross at every major event in the main story of the world. Id love to have something more personal like how they did with the HoM in GW1. the only personal feelings i get are the use of my playstyles.
how about adding more guns other than pistols and a rifle, I have more of a gun sellection in my safe at home, and im addicted to Borderlands 2 massive amounts of different guns. it would be cool to see more of a selection as using the same rifle skills from lvl 2 to lvl 80…is just boring. it would be great to see different weapons giving different skills like the environmental weapons do, why not go further to implement more skills in different weapons so we have more a choice of skills to use with a sword, a wand a gun a staff. I dont care as much for the skin of a weapons as i do for the skills it has. and some of your weapon skills just suck with certain playstyles that I have for my characters. or just make skills that we can swap out for that curent weapon. this would bring back the famous Build Creation which I LOVED in GW1. I have made over 200 builds in GW1…here there really isnt much of a build creation as the gear needs to follow sute with the traits….but the weapons skills cant be molded.
I sort of agree kinda…we need a personal place like the original HoM and we need personal housing. But i think our HoM should be just 1 room of our personal house.
Unfortunatly not everyone has access to the HoM. Only long term GW1 fans have that access stone. and it was built as a place of rememberance. though why are there inusuable chests and why such a big space for such little content. Id agree to an instant warp to a housing space like that of “Wildstar’s Idea”. if you all plan to make housing please make it something like that where we can edit everything from the walls and carpet to furniture trees bushes and possible farms to havest some basic materials. and i think a trophy type room would be great like we had in the original GW1 where we could look back at all that we had accomplished. There is so much from GW1 that should be reimplimented into GW2 with more polished features. I know you cant just copy and paste the content, but I wish you would Bring in all the great features you have left behind in GW1.
Maybe most people will disagree, but I have some disabilities that make it very difficult to use the movement controls and attack. No problem with GW1. It seems that GW2 is more primitive in some ways than GW1. After 6 years of playing GW1 with no problems I have given up playing GW2. Some parts like using spacebar jump is cool but with out mouse control I cannot play except very slow and clumbsy. You think they will ever have a patch to make control functions as easy as GW1?
unfortunatley the point to click and move just wont work well if u need to dodge out of the way, and that mode of movement was quite annoying in gw1 it made it incredibly annoying when attacking and incredible easy to run in a direction. but there is an auto run button so that isnt needed. now maybe if you get a 13 button mouse you could play with just one hand setting all the necessary buttons to ur mouse and put zoom in and out on the keyboard. the WASD is very neccessary to be able to dodge accuratley, but with a nice mouse im sure u could easily do it one handed…if thats not the issue there are finger excersises to help with movement. or maybe they will come out with a game controller for the PC. hope that helps.

The biggest thing for me would be the transition from Guild Wars 1 to Guild Wars 2.
Many of my IRL friends and Guild mates agree that Guild Wars 1 was more enticing to play because you could customize all 8 slots to make very specific and unique builds.
Essentially, in the current system, one’s play style does not change past level 10. This means players are playing the exact same characters from levels 10 – 80.
(Note: I picked level 10 because that’s the approximate level when I maxed all my weapon skills)
As well, utility skills add little to no customization aside from very few. Playing a Ranged DPS Ranger, I simply have 2 buffs (Quickening Zephyr and the Bleeding active) with Lightning Reflexes and Rampage as One. However, these skills do nothing to actually change my play style, and many of my attempted “builds” have had a similar feeling.
What I would like to see (maybe not soon, but in the future) would be a way to customize the left side of the bar. Make hundreds of skills like in Guild Wars 1, so unique builds can start to flourish and players feel attached to their own creation.
However, the skill quality of Guild Wars 2 is a lot more flashy, which means developing hundreds of skills would be painful. Nevertheless, I feel like Guild Wars 2 is trying to be a MOBA instead of trying to be the sequel to Guild Wars 1, where skill was determined by strategy, planning, and coordination.
I hope later expansions and patches release to make this combat less stale.
i know this was months ago…but the developers really should look at this again. I have to agree with him completeley im getting bored of using the same skills over and over and over…and over…there is so much potential to creating builds like in gw1 in gw2 adding a selection of skills to select to customize how you want to use a sword or staff…there are alot of weapons on characters…i havent and will never use because the skills just dont work with how i play and then im left with only a couple of weapons to play with…and with the engineer…your screwed, there needs to be more than just a rifle and a handgun..i know the packs give u other weaponsets but its just not the same u cant customize the dmg on the pack like u can on a weapon, there needs to be not only more weapons in the game but alot more skills for each weapon to make some really cool combos….and i have to say im pretty sick of the wand and focus on my mes, but i have to use it if i ever want to catch up, we are so so slow…
theres no need for hundreds of skills but atleast let there be a way to change out skills 2,3,4,5 for a combonation of other possible skills for that weapon…esp if your traited for say minnion master, maybe make a skill that upon a kill spawns a small minion…and get rid of the stupid trait or at leastlet it be up to 5 minions and no cool down…hard to be a minion master without any minnions making it a max of 11 minions just like in gw1.
anyway i would say the skills need a makeover or i will be pretty much done with this game in a month or so do to stale gameplay. i love the jumping puzzles…the storyline is ok but there needs to be more to it from lvl to lvl so u dont have to wait till ur 5 lvls higher to continue your story. i used to play this game daily…its now down to 1 time a week or ill pop in to try to get the daily then leave. and just getting the daily feels like a stale gameplay using the same 5-10 skills over and over. its lost its flare to me. I want to feel the adrenaline again the in battle excitement….where did it go.
as for more weapons….take a look at Borderlands 2, it makes me never want to play the engineer again. oh and why cant a ranger use a rifle…isnt a rifle a ranged weapon…still blows my mind how dumb it was to not let a ranger use a rifle….but yet a warrior can use a bow?

personally i dont have alot of money, i make enought exploring. but what you all have yet to even acknowledge is simply the fact that the small fee per waypoint is a deterant. the developers want you to explore the world to run into events on the way to another event. if everyone waypoints from point to point on the map for free u would rarely see anyone on the map at all. how many times have you walked out into a map and saw someone attacking a mob you can then help kill it and then run into an event with that stranger. also if you are talking about fre map travel if the whole map is complete…well its not hard to complete the map for one and 2 you have to discover the waypoints before u can use them so doesnt that just nullify its fee if you dont use a single waypoint the entire time you are completing the map…because why would you use a waypoint thats behind you when you need to go the the undescovered area infront of you…duh.
and it…is…not…hard…to…get…loot to sell and pay for any and all travel to any waypoint accross the world. you can sell to any merchant or heart or repir guy, there are even consumables to carry with you and u can sell straight to the TP. the only way you can possibly complain about it being to expensive or that there shouldnt be a fee is if you dont know how to walk or run in the game or kill a mob. if all you want to do is just bounce around in circles…then yes that would be pricey.
i dont use any waypoints really till after i have completed the map anyway. i find its for more profitable to just run and kill things on my way to the next heart or event.
anyway the main thing is the deterance to not constanlty skip around the map…and in gw1 there were much less waypoints and they were only in citys/outposts, not in the world you explore.
using a waypoint is optional and a convenient option…so you have to pay for convenience (why is a slice of cheese or bag of chips or soda more expensive at a gas station than at a store? convenience). if you dont want to pay a minimal minute fee then run there it takes a bit longer but it doesnt stop you from getting where u want to go.
then theres the savings route use wvw/pvp instant travel its free to get to la and la is free ports to the other major homelands. and it can save u a few silver in ports doing it that way. yes its more time consuming and not as direct but a feesible option.
now if you were to talk about repair costs and how fast your gear breaks…then you may have an actual problem worthy of a suggestion, because i spend a heck of alot more money on repair costs then travel fees.
i agree in games like wow and other mmos theres like a whole selection of mini pets and mounts u can select at will without takinging up bag space…why cant we get at least 1 slot for a mini pet?
its just annoying period…and it makes me dizzy while im waiting for my friends to kill the enemies so they can rez me.
"""About the “teleport somewhere safe”, I near never use the teleport feature, I prefer walking, as teleport is too expensive, and while walking I can find ore source or other things to do or watch… I only teleport when I’m dead, or when I’m in town, as it is free…"""
um its free to teleport to the mists or wvw and its a free way to get to la without paying to go to a LA waypoint…and the way points are not that expensive unless all you do is go from point to point. 2 lvl 80 greens sold to the merchant will cover your one waypoint fee…so kill a couple enemies between jumps tada easy fix.
I guess you’re quite young, or you do not have a husband/wife or children. When a real life event occurs, you have to handle it at the second, you cannot wait a few minutes to find a safe place…
i guess you arent smart enough to figure out it only takes 1 second to close out the game or 3 secs to map out to a city…so if it takes u a few mins to get to a safe place you need to rethink your strategy…also if you have kids and they are near when you are playing a game watching a movie…doing dishes whatever…you should have a contigency plan, say your 5 year old has a stroke what should you do…leave game mid battle and not complain about a fantasy death and take your kid to the hospital… or leave your game mid battle take your kid to hospitle then complain like a 4 yr old that you had to repair your gear do to an emergency.
seriously if u have kids around you should have a plan like holding the remote close so u can pause the tv/movie. know how to leave the game so your character doesnt die…that is if u actually care if your fantasy character dies and have to spend fake money and kill fantasy monsters to regain the fake money you lost in 15 secs of play time.
