still stuck in match
I know losers got participation rewards at match end, will the winners get rewards for this?
The loss of score (and crowns) seems to only happen if you use a costume brawl skill while in combat, however it is still freaking annoying and I think that one of the candycorn elemental knock-back/launch skills also puts “enemies” in combat.
Do they have to be lvl 80 (or close to 80) rares or and they be any lvl rare weapons?
There are a few bugs causing stronghold to award wins to the wrong team and/or end the game early.
1) the game went into overtime, the enemies had more points, and when we finished their lord they were declared the winners
2) our lord was downed, i used signet of mercy to revive him but as soon as he was revived the game counted it as him being killed even though he was alive (and he continued to have the downed symbol floating above him)
So Courtyard removed, Raid of the Capricorn removed, Stronghold Removed…
We currently probably have less pvp maps than on release 3 years ago.Why was there only 1 pvp map added with HoT and why did you remove 2 good maps from unranked?
I hope you aren’t referring to Courtyard as a good map and Capricorn was removed because the didn’t like underwater combat.

Since your working on stealth glitches in Stronghold anyways how about you fix the glitch with the lord’s HP indicator changing when he get’s stealth and not changing back.
Not that Conquest is bad but I do prefer Stronghold for most of my classes and wish that would could still play it knowing that there is that glitch, just include a warning “there is a stealth glitch, play at your own risk” or something
While needing ascendeds to be able to complete raids may not be true it is unfortunately becoming so for people that try to PUG to do it. For example earlier I was looking on LFG and saw a post saying “LF Engineer VG” since I have a condi engi (on which i have gotten VG to <5%) I join up and entered the instance then they asked me to link my gear (I have all but 3 pieces ascended Sinister/Rampager and 98% burn and bleed duration) so I do, and within 10 seconds I am kicked. Annoyed i look for the guy on LFG again and whisper him to ask why i was kicked. he claimed that whenever anyone is looking for an engineer for raids it is implied that they will only accept a fully ascended Viper engineer. First I point out that I already have 98% on the main 2 damaging conditions i apply and the duration caps at 100% so it would be stupid for me to get Viper then tell him that groups that want full ascended are supposed to put it in the LFG description, so of course he decides to insult my intelligence.
I realize that most people aren’t this horrendously rude and stupid but since raids came out I have noticed that they are growing in number
LFG defiantly needs a few new tabs
Additional tabs to make it work better:
1) Raids (sub tab for each raid wing)
2) HoT Open world
3) Festival/Special events (for stuff like Halloween, Wintersday, Lunar New Years, etc.)
4) Bosses (usually one 1 or 2 bosses are up at a time unless a guild starts it so there isnt much need for sub tabs)
Helpful changes:
1) sub tabs to the personal story tab for each set (Original, LS S2, HoT)
2) allowing reading/posting LFG in higher fractal tiers if you have the Agony Resistance suggested for the first scale of the tier
3) not removing a LFG because someone miss-clicked or didn’t read the full description and then left (had this happen to me so many times while i was trying to find The Tormentor in SW that i was suppressed “for spamming”)
4) stop people from posting LFG if they are being suppressed for spamming (rather than make their LFG blank)
5) allow squad commanders to post a LFG to join their squad

Same for me and my friend that earned it, as someone who harvests their home instance nodes daily this mean I (and others like me) must either load back into BC then LA then another city and that home instance to get it, or pay a WP fee to skip loading BC and LA, when harvesting in Hero’s Canton for an Ascalon miner/logger/harvester daily

The turret isn’t even being built anymore some it is impossible to earn the achievement, tried multiple times
Same happened to me, but the only broken ones are the one’s I earned in the starting instance when I tomed up to 80 and made build.

What really aggravating is that we can’t even progress the old experience bar to gain spirit shards, but instead we can only see the EXP that we would have gotten when we kill stuff and do events but don’t gain any.
Known for 2 years and the glitch is still here
Not only does it “increase [their] ability to escape” but it can give help them win, for example while on my staff ele I was hit with slowness and used fire 4 [Burning Retreat] out of a 2v1 going much further and leaving the fire trail that burns enemies across a bigger area.
However it can hinder the afflicted if they try using a skill like [Leap of Faith] (guard GS 3) and leaping way past the person you are trying to attack (happened to me on HoT beta week 2)
yup even the survival pistol is blocked and I’m not sure but it may block traps too
there seems to be multiple skills in multiple classes affected by the quickness bug and during the betas slowness seemed to have the inverse effect causing some movement skills to move much further than inteded
The glitch only occurs when there is less than a specific amount of people in the map causing it to “look for players” and if you are killed and respawn before the immobilize is removed and you don’t get reward or achievement credit or the first stack of hunger unless you are lucky enough to spawn in the one spawn point that is close enough to count.

For those who don’t want to read through everything here’s the condensed version of what most of what people have been saying/asking for:
- Give rewards when each event ends instead of the buff
- Give rewards/buff based on participation in even (bronze, silver, or gold)
- Have enemies drop loot/XP
- Give rewards based on map progress rather than personal
- Lower bloom cost/increase bloom rewards
- Extend event
- Adjust event timing (longer events, less break time, no 90-min wait)
- Adjust scaling
- Lower/remove Way Point costs for event
- Add achievements
- Harvest-able/loot-able blooms at the end of events
- Boss fight at end (if map completes enough events?)
Personally I think it would work out better if it mirrored the Dry Top meta-event a bit, with tiers based on map progress and events giving rewards based on tier (and possibly participation). It would give people a reason to help finish events sooner rather than tag and run without rewarding AFKers, as well as limiting loss from disconnects.
Of course achievements and enemy loot would be nice too.
I did some number Crunching on the event, First of all if you want to buy everything costing above 150 Blooms (the skins, tonics, and minis) it costs 2140 Blooms and 68 Gold. Now if you think about the event as a whole and your maximum earning potential there are approximately 18 events per day for the 4 day event, meaning there is approximately 72 invasions total(give a few extra depending on the time it went online vs the event ends).
OK so getting all the account unlocks costs 2140 and my calculations show that the maximum obtainable with 100% efficiency start to finish is 1050, which isn’t even half of what would be needed. 1050/2140<1/2
for those wanting to know calculations:
4*60+72/4*45
max dailies+total hours/hours per cycle*max blooms per cycle
exact maximum blooms is 1050 assuming 72hours crossing through 4 dailies periods
You may notice that the only dev responses are about the no reward bug, and no one I know has even seen one in the event.
Would the community event in the invasion that was “postponed” have offered more Blooms?
I want the scarlet and toxic skin sets, but the time required in the limited time is just ridiculous, the queen’s pavilion was better than this, couldn’t even use that as a template?
If you haven’t started super farming it is now impossible to earn enough to get both skin sets
It would be soooo easy to make the rewards appropriate. It took me basically 1min to come up with this:
1-15 total events completed:
Players get 1 bloom per buff-stack16-30 total events completed:
Players get 2 blooms per buff-stack31-50 total events completed:
Players get 3 blooms per buff-stack>51 total events completed:
Players get 4 blooms per buff-stackNumbers could be tweaked but I would say this would be a lot better than what we currently have. It takes into account the personal performance and the performance of all players on the map.

Yes! Defiantly better than the current way and it would give motivation to make sure the events are done fast rather than tag and run.
I have calculated that getting the MAXIMUM number of Blooms per event and doing EVERY event in the 72-hours you will get 1050 blooms (including the 240 from dailies), which means you could get both potions, or all of the skins, but not much else. Note that this means not getting any sleep except during the 1 hour between cycles.
While the mechanics of how blooms are rewarded is lower than what we would expect I would say that the ratio between the price of the items to ability to obtain the currency is the big issue.

just to test my theory, when did you do all the living story? as soon as it came out? a week later? last month?
Current most logical theory is that they were added being unlocked by an achievement after the achievement was achievable and Anet forgot to make it so those who previously achieved the achievement got it unlocked, and since the achievement is achieved it becomes impossible for them to unlock, similar to that glitch where skins are unlocked but not counting towards a collection thing.
It also would explain why Anet “can’t verify” if the glitch even exists.
I know it has only been a day, but when will the prizes be sent out? I get if you need to review stuff and verify that no one cheated, I just don’t want to lose out on my stuff.
I have seen multiple times with various “instant revive” skills that the amount they will revive a player is capped similar to the “full heal” skills.
There is nothing I have found more annoying in PvP than using a Battle Standard or Signet of Undeath to revive a almost dead downed ally and they are only bright part of the way up. Just a little while ago I used Signet of Undeath on my rabid Mesmer buddy and it only brought him up about 80% and then an enemy proceed to finish him essentially wasting my signet for 3 minutes after that.
It seems that these skills have the same healing cap of 50,000 hp as the “full heals” which is unfair since downed health scales with vitality that means this glitch is far more likely to occur to a high vitality tank warrior than a zerker thief. If it was percentile and the skills said the percent like “revives downed allies by up to 75%” that would be one thing but no the skills all say revive downed allies and it doesn’t always do that.
oops I meant EST and and EDT, I will admit typo but my point is still valid because there is an hour difference and many people say EST when it is EDT. It says 12pm EST but that is when the clocks in that time zone say 11am because they are currently on EDT.

Just to verify, the start times are actually in CDT not CST cause it is currently daylight savings time. And when it is 12:00 CST it will be 11:00 CDT
Think it means those high seeding guys that skip first match because their isn’t a full 128 teams
What has this thread become?
Probably should have thought about this earlier, but is build/class swapping aloud, and if so what are the limitations on it? (only allowed to swap between matches, rounds, or any time out of combat?)

At least some of the tournaments that determine seeding get full pretty fast and some teams don’t know if they will have enough of their people on until day of and it ends up being full. Do teams that sign-up for the seeding tournaments but don’t get in because it is full get higher seeding than teams that didn’t sign-up at all? (like teams that lose first round)
also, any chance that team member’s leader-board status would be taken into consideration when seeding points are tied? (yeah I know the test is ending before the tournament and that it is a test)
I can verify that my team is listed under the wrong Bracket. We are in NA but are listed under Europe, this happen to anyone else?
Note: the email I got confirmed that we were in the North America brackets.
Side note: Tournament of Llamas 3?
OK i have 2 questions, both involving the optional substitute.
1st, how does prizing work out if the substitute is used? (does the sub and/or person being substituted get prizes)
2nde, Does your team get points for seeding if you play in a tournament with 3 of your starting list and your sub totaling to 4 members from your roster competing as a team?

Well i can honestly say that at first the VPNs seem to extend the time between kicks they dont actually help, also the error has gotten even more annoying and has apparently developed a sense of humor against me in that it kicks me every time i reach the 3rd boss in the last instance of the latest living Story while trying to get the achievements,
Also It seems that the lag experienced at random times and immediately before being kicked is due to the Servers being unable to receive what our computers are sending while our computers are still receiving just fine letting us see what is happening while we look AFK, and then being teleported when the servers start listening to our computers again, I believe that being kicked to the character select screen is caused by either some kind of check in the system to see if the server is receiving data from the computer, or that the servers receive just enough data to know that we are in the map (and sometimes chat) but then it stops getting that data and gets confused.
as a side note I can say that I still have this error after getting my hard-drive replaced and reinstalling GW2 so it doesn’t have anything to do with those, and I have never had this glitch when playing using my friend’s WiFi.

I have gotten the 7:11:3:191:101 error code every time it happens. I get on GW2, after a few min i start getting a lot of lag, doesn’t matter if it is skills interaction or chat, and after about 15min- 1 hour (usually closer to 15min) i get sent back to the character screen with the error message. this has happened on almost all of my characters at least once. also during the laggy times while i am in PvP it sometimes makes me immune to incoming conditions and damage other than from conditions i already had as well as causing me not to count towards point capture or preventing point capture. and it seems that whenever i get sent back to the character select screen and get the error code I also get logged out of this site, (i saw this because i was reading through between matches and needed to log in again to post). At this point I am willing to record myself getting lag, sent to character select, and the error code if A-Net thinks it will help them fix it. and i don’t know if it will work but I am going to try the VPN thing and hope that A-net doesn’t try to ban me for it.

this has been happening to me with the new patch, IDK why or how to fix it
as far as “cities” go they could always add to the existing skritt city making a secure instance in there
The Kodan have that Floating Iceberg they call home, but could have a hidden refuge city out there
the Hylex have tribes, one of which could be big and friendly
and Tengu have that walled area
as for Skritt intelegence; they could have some asura expirament with increasing skritt and you would be a success.
(A-net: you can use this but please give me some credit for the idea)
and of course there are some obviouse class/race combos that people will want like:
ranger ogres (they love their pets)
Elixer Engeneer Hylex (potion masters)
engeneer skritt (shiny)
Heavy armored Kodan (big guys big armor)
