Hi, I am running full zerk (weapon/armor/accessories/high dps build) and was comfortable with it in the base game but I’ve been dying a lot in hots maps.
Maybe I’m still getting used to the enemy types etc but what would you guys recommend for more/increased survivability?
Is it a change of weapon sets? build? should I get knight’s armor set?
2 players in my guild are reporting the same thing. They could not launch GW2, they both have Avast and avast prompted them with something about gw2.exe being blocked. I can confirm this issue. Please fix.
There has to be an expansion before we fight Mordremoth, there’s no way an epic battle against a dragon is just through living story update, there’s got to be an expansion coming.
Scarlet is the Bloody Prince’s secret lover/admirer. She found out that for the Bloody Prince to notice her, she must pass the ultimate trial, which is to defeat the Mad King in his game, the “mad king says”. Scarlet was able to defeat the Mad King but the Bloody Prince still refused to even lay an eye on her. (she’s ugly!) And that is the reason why Scarlet is in rage right now and trying to invade Tyria.
I dont mind guesting, I like people to guest. I guest to other servers. But when guests take the spots of players who are originally from that server is a bit unfair. These people paid gems to be on that server only to be taken by some player who is guesting.
Players paid gems (from gold exchange or real money) to be on that server and to get it’s benefits. Being a highly populated and organized server that is. Only to be taken by guests.
Main servers should prioritize players that are originally from that server. My home server is BG and since the Tequatl Patch, I’ve only been to BG Sparkfly Fen once or twice. BG Sparkfly Fen is infested by guests from different servers who goes afk until next Tequatl attack (if failed). Making us players originally from that server cannot take advantage of the server’s organized runs.
I expect BG Sparkfly Fen to be like this whole weekend long, sigh.
On the other hand it is possible that many people suck and need to learn to play. Anet cannot help you with that.
Or you can try reading the first post and realize how the player was kicked at the last stage which is killing the boss. If he did sucked, he would of get the kick way before.
Actually, not always the case. I’ve been in a pugged frac run a long time ago where the pugs were complaining all the time (with good reasons) about a thief in our group who literally went down every 5 seconds or so. At first I thought they didn’t kick him because they were being nice ( 3 of the group members knew each other ) but they in fact just kept him around just to kick him at the third fractal. That player was so bad that he was actually playing with almost completely broken armor, naked, and didn’t even think of relogging to repair or anything. They pretty much kept him around just for the sake of kicking him at the end after having spent 40 minutes in that group being laughed at. The third fractal was the swamp (it was a time where pugs hadn’t fully adopted rolling swamp as first yet) and they kicked him right before engaging mossman.
I don’t approve of this kind of thing and would almost certainly rather kick someone early, or, if I didn’t kick him, put up with it until the end, but there are people who will wait until the end to kick just because they hate you.
What a wall of excuses. Why not just accept that fact that there are scammers out there that are kicking party members at the last boss to either sell the spot or get a guildy/friend to get the xp/gold/mats.
You are an idiot. I was a pug, they didn’t kick me, hence, they weren’t doing anything to sell spots, and that player I saw getting kicked at the third fractal was a terrible player. Like it or not, there are players who find enjoyment in inflicting harm to players they don’t like.

I made a thread something like this not too long ago, I got kicked out of the party when we were just about to fight the last boss at cof p3, and all i got from people here were;
“you suck man”
“learn to play”
“support guardian wtf”
As expected, many people bow are being victimized by this scam. Anet must and should do something about this.
The other day I was trying to get the master of baubles achievement(collect all baubles in zone 3 of world 1) but on top of the log there were only 4 baubles instead of 5. Has this been fix yet? Can anyone confirm?
Yes it is a bug, Anet said they are aware of this and will fix on the next patch, Read it from a dev post earlier. Forgot what the thread title was but I need this achievement too.
Actually, I blame myself for even making this kind of thread. I seriously expected some positive feedback on how to avoid them or if there’s something Anet can be done to fight these kind of unfair acts. I don’t post here often, I mostly hang and read stuff in crafting and blt threads. This place is hostile. I wont make a thread here ever again.

My advice, and please take it, if you want the type of carebear feel good posts pity party posts to get a positive reception, post them on the reddit subforum. I am over the fact that I got kicked out of the party, But I am not over about how you guys look at this situation. It is not rocket science.
What’s hard to understand is that a grade A scumbag like me can PUG and never get kicked, while you who was seemingly doing nothing wrong does. So again, you either made this up or you were playing badly. It’s easy for players to tell when someone isn’t pulling their weight, I noticed it when I had to run CoE with some of the guys I usually run with and 2 pugs, bosses weren’t melting as fast as usual and then I found out one of the pugs was using a ruby orb in their greatsword and they weren’t running axe/mace either. I can’t remember what the other guy had.
Were you running as the one-off in a guild group by any chance?
I joined the group through gw2lfg. It wasn’t a “only zerkers”; I was the 5th member in the party to come in so there’s no way I can tell if I was the only pug. I didn’t really get the chance to look at everyone’s guild as I wasn’t expecting to be kicked out at the last part.
Look, I am just doing my dungeon runs and get my reward chests, Ive been doing it since the last dungeon updates. I run AC p1 + P3, COf p1 + p2 + p3 and hotw p1. I reroll to other professions depending on what the group needs.
If you guys think I did bad, then can’t change that. I am just here reporting an unfair experience. You guys can speculate all you want.

This story either never happened or you were playing badly, it’s one of the two.
It’s funny how some people look at this situation differently.
It’s like a drunk driving person hit and killed a person who is walking at the sidewalk and blaming the guy who got killed for walking, being there and or not being aware of the car that is coming.
This is not rocket science people; If i was doing bad; I would’ve leave the party myself. The run was smooth, only a couple of downs in the team. There were no arguments or any issues and they never said anything in chat. I got kicked at the last part where you can get bonus/xp/gold.
I was kicked out of the party when we were about to do the last part in COF Path 3, I think everyone here knows how tricky that path is, I was the only guardian and gave them a good support throughout the path and boom! kicked when just about to kill last boss.
Is there something that can be done to prevent random kicking? Kicking should be limited to; if a player is inactive for X amount of time or if disconnected for X amount of time.
Some of you will say; “play with your guild”. Please. Not everyone wants to run all paths at any given time.

You have to respect that a lot of people get pretty touchy on the subject of ‘Dungeon run scam’, due to some of us selling dungeon spots, or may have friends that do so. Threads like these tend to contest the legitimacy of such services, so they’re generally received quite poorly, especially when it’s a claim without much proof (I respect that it’s quite hard to get proof of such a thing).
There’s also been a lot of drama, mostly stirred up by the poobutt babies that frequent Reddit, where players like myself are getting griefed both on gw2lfg (false flags), and ingame, when trying to offer a legitimate service. Threads like this often encourage such behavior, as people become more and more certain that people selling spots are kicking innocent outsiders (such as potentially your case).
It’s nothing personal, and I hope you understand why some of these responses are as they are. Threads like these just bring out the worst in the community, for various reasons.
To be honest, I’ve never heard of selling spots in dungeons until this thread. I mostly read stuff in crafting and black lion trading forums. I understand where you are coming from, but hey. I’m only here to report a situation where I ( and possibly others as well) got taken advantage of. Their issues regarding selling slots in dungeons, I have no clue and I don’t care.

I think I know the situation more than you do. By fine I mean, no wipes. a couple of downs (not me). A smooth run. I knew that they knew how to get P3 done and they never said anything about not being satisfied with the run whatsoever. Ranged camping? I was hammering the crap out of enemies in P3.
I’m sure this has happened a lot, and something should be done here before it gets abused.

Online interactions are not rated, this happens to all online games. If you cannot handle it then turn on the filters, disable or ignore map chat, block them. The solution is in you. Anet is not going to adjust a system to cater to cry babies. Man up!
