Good necros don’t need to constantly use death shroud for survive. They all know how to position themselves and don’t eat cleave/aoe like 80% of you.

If you were waiting for someone to say it, I will be quitting the game unless/until these traits are made easy to obtain in pvp. I do not pve and I do not intend to, it has nothing to offer competitive players and wasn’t the game I thought I was buying.

Please stop saying that having access to certain traits that other people don’t isn’t an advantage. It’s borderline delusional. There will always be stronger builds than others for certain builds/comps, and you adding variation to build possibilities doesn’t take away from that. I see plenty of these grandmaster traits that could have builds completely designed around them, and some of them will be vastly superior to the other options people have.

The MAJORITY of pvp’ers don’t know how to rotate. The MAJORITY of pvp’ers are only interested in seeing big numbers. The MAJORITY of pvp’ers don’t even play objective. The MAJORITY of pvp’ers spend the MAJORITY of their time in pve. The MAJORITY of pvp’ers don’t have the first clue how to thoerycraft, or how to even begin thoerycrafting a comp. The MAJORITY of pvp’ers don’t know how to position themselves as ranged players. The MAJORITY of pvp’ers believe that anyone who takes this game seriously enough to care about winning is a loser.

How can you listen to the complaints of people who aren’t playing the game correctly?

Make no mistake, if the skills take a long time to get for pvp’ers it’s vertical progression. Most mesmer builds are already unviable without the mesmer heal.

Please do not presume to speak for all players. As a PvP player, I disagree with you, and I know others that do as well.

If you want to turns this into a numbers game, please do keep in mind that the vast majority of PvP players play PvE and WvW as well. We definitely want to make the game fun and enjoyable for PvP-only players as well, but we need to keep a broader context when designing systems.

No. Playing PvP doesn’t make you a pvper. I’m so sick of dev’s tailoring the game to casuals. This game has one of the best combat systems for competitive pvp, yet you don’t do a thing to try to make it competitive.

Despite all the frustration the devs must have at the majority of the player bases QQ, a large portion of pvp’ers believe that the game is actually fairly balanced. The problem resides not within the traits, but with the complete lack of organization or effort from the players. Currently, everybody comps their team according to pre-existing specs. People overload on as much cc, and utility as they can, which completely limits their options, and in many cases makes them pass by their optimal builds. This isn’t how it’s done in the big leagues, boys. People peel for each other, boon remove for each other, condi remove for each other, etc..

PvP doesn’t need progression, it needs competition. Force us to make a premade team with a core 5 and room for a couple alternate players, and make a team ladder.

If you want to make something unlockable how about forcing a requirement on solo queues so pve’rs can’t come in until they know what they’re doing?

……..you can’t just spend all your init on dodging. This is like saying eles firegrab combo is op. It just isn’t relevant.

I use p/p, it’s superior to p/d for condi. It works perfectly for what it needs to do. Interrupts with pistol offhand are really strong if you’re good enough to use them when it counts and the blind field comes in handy. Lots of healing with dblossom and malice. Application timing and forcing removes are important to put out good damage. d/d p/p 0/0/30/20/20 settlers/carrion. I would also like to add that I use unload on eth fields quite frequently.
