[Commision] Script in Google Spreadsheet

in API Development

Last year, I was working on a big research about inflation and I finally have the time to pick up the work again. A friend of mine helped me code a few things in my spreadsheet (I know nothing about coding), but due to the lack of time, he has not been able to finish it so I’m looking for someone to help me out. Most of it should be done already.

The coding will be in a google spreadsheet and will be using the GW2 Spidy API (or something similar) to import prices and other data into the spreadsheet. Experience with both would be preferable. The script I need is pretty much just to import prices (from the graphs on the website) and do a few calculations before giving me the raw numbers. I guess we can just meet up on TS and I’ll explain exactly what he was trying to code and what I want the script to do.

I am going to compensate the person in gold, how much will depend on the amount of work required to finish the script (50g as a minimum). Please let me know if this is somehow against the TOS, I just see the art commissions all the time, and assumed this kind of thing would be fine (otherwise we can call it a “gift”).

Hers is a link to the research is anyone is interested: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fVpco8hEdap2AtcB3NCbMovHtrPu-mbrYSLqwbue4fg/edit#gid=1079668078

Will they achieve absolute equality between every game mode and every farm?

- That is literally near impossible unless we abolish items and loot altogether. Just ask WvW and PvP players how much they make per hour compared to any PvE. Even here arenanet are trying to imporve the loot/gold gained.

This was actually something John Smith covered in a recent Q&A. It was kind of interesting reply compared to what you would expect.

Q.
Do you feel that WvW needs a boost to its gold gain to match the other gamemodes?
A.
I don’t currently feel that way, but it’s another one of the things we’ll be watching after launch to see how everything settles.

So yup I saw the dragon hunter preview and bought a chaos bow… because they had bows and shot light arrows… and I guess they’d want a matching bow. This is what I’ve been lowered to. I have an engineer… couldn’t even use the kitten bow on it. And I imagine a lot of skins are bought on speculation… I find it extraordinarily hard to believe that a good number of the chaos skins, when they came back at around 100G, weren’t purchased with the specific intent to resell later.

Have you ever done the math on how much that bow cost the original seller to get?

Assume he used 30 keys to get it. (Current average to get scraps. Past average was 50 keys but we’ll say he was lucky and only used 30).
If he bought keys then 30 keys is 2520 gems. (At 25 keys = 2100 gems = $26.25€)
Assume he bought it when it came out on Aug 13, 2014. At that time 100 gems was ~15 gold 50 silver.

That means 2520 gems was worth ~390 gold.

You got a steal at 100 gold because people don’t sit down and figure out how much the weapons are actually worth, plus they undercut each other.

Well that’s kind of an unfair comparison. How many of the weapons on the TP are actually from players who have brought gems and used thoes to buy keys?

I would guess that most are from players keyfarming (though it has been nerfed). So the average price would be way lower.

Inflation is emphatically NOT only due to gold being added. But also a matter of scarcity of an item and unequal wealth distribution. Among other factors (see the aside)

Well I asume this is directed towards my comment on the money supply, maybe it’s just my explanation that’s not perfectly clear. But as I’m said elsewhere in the thread (even in my original post), inflation is caused by many differet things. What I was simply giving an example as to why it’s good to have gold sinks in the game, since an increase in the moeny supply is ONE of the reason we have inflation, where shocks in demand and supply are among other causes.

Running weights on the goods is something you should do, unfortunately the weighting can be slightly arbitrary and that drastically changes the results, so you end up with results entirely hinged on a series of variables that don’t necessarily have a scientific backing. Lastly, be very careful of putting variables in a model that feed into each other, that will cause the model to over-represent changes in a single set. Arguably you could fix this by proper weighting, but this gets really tricky when there’s a lot of variables mixing together. Oh, actually lastly, don’t use precursors, really don’t use anything that doesn’t trade at a reasonable velocity or anything that’s too much of a luxury.
Overall though, I think this is a great effort given the resources you have to work with and a really interesting read.

Thanks John!

Can you give me some sudgetions then in order to improve it? Do you see anything specific that could be improved in terms of the weights of the basket.

Isaish alreayd mentiond that the weithts of the comming crafting materials Tier 3-4 should be decreased and then increase the weights of Tier 1-2. But other than that he did not mention anything specific.

To get some insight from you would be a very big help and could improve it a lot, since we do not have access to the same data as you guys

Well I’ve not been able to cover the thread for the last few days do to work and my upcomming midterms and there are so many replies. I can’t answer all of you so I’ll do some of them. I have read all though!!!

First of all, I saw a few of you discussing whatever gems have a place here. As I’ve already said, I’ll create and index without gems (one with and without)
My friend is still working on the script, in order to me to finish some of the smoothing and in order for me to add a lot of these materials and items that you have suggested. As soon as he is done (he’s just working a little whenever he has time for it) I’ll start working on improving the spreadsheet. I do plan to go through all the weights again and based on your feedback, John and Isaish I’ll change some of them (not sure which ones yet, have to come of up with a better system). It might be a few weeks though with the upcoming expansion and midterms.
I’ll work a little on all these things while gathering data from the first 2-3 months of the post HoT economy. Then I’ll make a new post here on reddit in order to share my findings. I’ll keep update this post though so please do keep up these discussions, I’ll try to be more active and respond to more of you.

Isn’t the purpose of the sink to prevent it from becoming a stock market with speculation?

No not really. It’s to prevent the money supply in the game from increase to much. If the money supply increase it causes inflation, since more and more players will by the same items and therefor drive up the prices of these items.

DennisChrDk.9823, I’m curious where you got your price history? did you just look at spidy history by hand? I want to try something similar with other items via an api but haven’t found one that saves prices going back years.

I found gw2shinies, but it only goes back to 3/15/15 (15/3/15. I agree this date format is better, but it still just looks too weird for me to use reliably :P)
I tried it with just those 7 months and got some neat data. my idea is to do this with ‘normal’ commodities, such as exotic Berserker gear. (even in just the past 7 months, it looks like a slight increase in average price, from 1g30s to 1g50s).

All of it is actually recorded by hand (it took forever)… A friend of mine is working on coding a script for me to important data from Spidy and do some monthly averages in order to smooth out the data and caputre more velocity.

What items did you do your calculations on, only excotics? A reason for the difference could be that my basket is primarily crafting items, so after the introduction of Silwervastes we have a shift in supply of all these items, which causes the prices to go down.
If you have excotics only the F2P will most likely start out by buying excotics insteadt of ascended (assuming they don’t do dungeons and don’t have enough karma). Which could cause a shift in demand, this is just purely speculations, but I could be a likely explanation.

Plus, main of these items have cheaper substitute goods. So if you want to weight the index to account for velocity, you can include the cheaper substitute good in the index (example: Rams have a higher velocity than Golems, so include both superior and regular rams in the index but exclude both golems)

Items I would include in a WvW index:

Superior Ram, Ram, Superior Arrow cart, arrow cart, Guild Catapult, Superior catapult, Superior Golem, Omnomberry Compote, Bowl of Roated Lotus Root, Bowl of Sweet and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup, Plate of Truufle Steak, Bowl of Curry Butternut Squash Soup, Bowl of Seaweed Salad, Toxic Focusing Crystal, Rare Veggie Pizza, Superior Sharpening Stone.

This is a very good idea, when I get the script to work I’ll definitely add these items. I never really considered siege either.
A lot of the items are already in the basket though. I did added a bunch of cooking supplies in order to cover the inflation on some of the most demanded foods.

I actually forgot to update the post, but it should be fixed now.

@pdavis.8031
Some of the thigns you pointed out is actually adressed in the edits. You mentioned that you think that most of the inflation is due to a rise in demand? I agree that it’s a mix of multiple things, but I would still say that some of the reward changes had a very big impact. Something like the changes to dungeon must have have a huge impact and the gold supply would have risen a lot. I don’t think you can just ignore something like this.

quote: Second, concerning exotic crafting. For many players obtain exotic equipment, especially for players with multiple characters, its far easier, cheaper and faster to get a full set of exotic using karma, pvp reward tracks and dungeon tokens then it is to craft a set. This also effects the prices. That should also be taken into account when considering inflation rates.

The other way to obtain excot i actually not something I’ve considered. But I’m not sure I understand the rest of it, about taking this into acount. Do you think I shoud lower oricalcul, gossamer etc. weight in the basket? Because compared to the other items in the basket, tier 6 items is used in so many more recepies, for sigils and a little for ascended armor as well. When you craft from 400-500 you only craft excoti weapons/armors so the amounts you use is much higer.

I’ll do a second calculations of the inflation excluding gems. You are not the first person who pointed this out, and I will change it

Okay thank you very much. This is not really anything I’ve done before, I pretty much just read up on a few power point slides from an Economics class I had last year and some information from the ECB, so I’m learning by doing. The econ I have this year is about OCA (optimal currency areas) where we don’t really look into inflation.

I’m looking into some smothening atm. A friend of mine is going to help me code something, so that I can import a lot of data from spidy. This way I should be able to get all numbers from the graphs.

What would be the best way to smoothen the data? Would it be best to take an average over a few days around the 1st of every month. Or maybe even the average of every month.

Nice effort. You have a great platform to set up indecies to model inflation.

(1) High end WvW consumables. Basically foods and oils that serious WvWer pay for.
(4) Set up a index immediately for any Pvp only drops

Any specific items you had in mind. I don’t really play WvW so I don’t know what is consideres “good” amoung the serious players.
What items only drop in Pvp by now, that are not accountbound?

Okay, so I dont really have the oportunity to reply to every one of you, but I did read all of your comments.

1) A lot have expressed, that you don’t think that Gems should have been included. What I really wanted to show was just what I thought the average player would have brought over a month and how the prices would have changed.
I do think you you have a very valid argument, so I’m going to create another index (along the one I already have) where gems are not included. So I’ll do all the calculations with and without gems to see what the difference between the two indexes are.

2) Other than removing gems I’m going to add some “crafting cost” indexes. So with these indexes I’m going to calculate the cost of crafting full ascended and excots armor, weapons along with some other items. This way we will be able to see what the cost of these things are, since these indexes will not include “luxuary” items like legendaries (I’m doing seperate indexes for every thing).

3) I’ll add a few lower tier materials. This is based on the feedback from Isaih (can’t remember his name). He said that the velocity on these items were actually higher compared to higher tier materials.

4) I’m going to change the layout of the entire spreadsheet, I fell like I’ve a little to many tabs. Still not sure how it’s going to look but I’ve some ideas that I’ll implement over the next week.

5) I know a lot of these changes a based on supply and demand. But as long as we don’t have thoes common items from the real world like food, cloth and rent there is no way to really get past this. We will have to include items like legendaries (I would still argue that they are very important, it’s someting that most players work towards) and crafting materials, and Arenanet are changing recepies and adding new items all the time.

6) Unfortunetly these numbers are actally point based. This is a minor problem, and some trends are therefore lost.

7) Some have sugesting including containers, weapons and other items. As long as there is no where to get these numbers, other than recording it myself, I can’t add that many new items, I simply don’t have time for it.

8) if you have any sugestions for the basket please let me know. Maybe I messed up the weights of some item or you feel like we need to scale it, I would gladly listen to your feedback.

This research might not be perfect, but it still show a genreal changes in prices, whatever it’s deflation or inflation. I hope i covered most things, otherwise let me know.

sorry, this is too much info.

so what is the average inflation per month? 10%?

If you opened the spreadsheet it would actually have been the first thing you would see

01/10/2012 – 01/10/2013: 71,41%
01/10/2013 – 01/10/2014: 81,87%
01/10/2014 – 01/10/2015: -6,98%

Sorry that I’ve not been able to respond untill now, have focused a little more on the reddit threadt (and I’ve not been home for most of the day), since it’s a little easier to respond to a single comment there.

You do all have some very valid points, and I guess you could discuss for hours about how excatly you should define the basket. It’s already something I’ve spend a lot of time on, but then again that was the hardest part of it. You haev to find some common ground between all different game types, and figure out what all players would buy.

In the end I decided to simply include some of the most demanded items used for cooking, crafting armor, weapons and legendaries and even gems. I found that these items represented what was being sold and brought in the economy the most. I would argue that the economy is centered around creating legendaries and ascended items, and it’s a goal that most players are working towards. If some players stick to excotic, the basket does include that with the tier 6 crafting materials.

In case you have not already checked out the reddit post, go look at it. Isaiah Cartwright have made a lot of comments about how they actualyl take all of this into account when they are balancing the economy, it’s defenetly worth a read!

Another thing. I’ve actualyl updated the spreadsheet alot today, and added a lot of new tabs and graphs. I’ll look into some of your sudgestions and do some more calculations

This is a very misleading post… based on your actual data the inflation rate is almost 0, not 80%.

You just included the first few months where you can’t possibly calculate inflation to make it look bad… After the first year the economy was fully stabilized and there has been almost no inflation since then.

That’s far from true. I agree that the economy was not very stable at launch, which is why I left out that first 1½ in the research and did create multiple indexes for a lot of the calculations. But this changes nothing in terms of calcualting the yearly inflation.

01/10/2013 – 01/10/2014: (01/10/2014 – 01/10/2013) / 01/10/2013 = (7.249.787,59 – 3.986.317,36) / 3.986.317,36 = 81,87%

Even if I did do it as you said, I remove the fist year of the game, the inflation for the 2nd year is still 81 %,

This is not a post to blame the economy or say how bad it is, this is simply just showing some data. I agree that the inflation could be lowered with some actual gold sinks, but that’s not what I’m trying to show.

Introduction:
A long time ago, someone made a very interesting post here on reddit, about the inflation in Guild Wars 2. The research is no longer available and both the website and youtube video are gone. For a while, I’ve wanted to update the research and it’s finally done.
I expect the launch of HoT to have a big impact on the economy of the game and I want to have some actual data in order to see what will happen, from an economical point of view. The plan is to regularly update the spreadsheet, so that all of you will be able to follow the changes in the inflation.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fVpco8hEdap2AtcB3NCbMovHtrPu-mbrYSLqwbue4fg/edit#gid=1079668078

NB: Inflation can be a very complicated topic, and I’ve deliberately left out a lot of things in my explanations in order to keep it as simple as possible.

What is inflation:
Definition: Inflation is a sustained increase in the general price level of goods and services in an economy over a period of time.
As the definition explains, inflation is the increase of the general price level (deflation if it’s a decrease). This means that the 10 gold you had last year, will now be worth less. You will not be able to buy the same, since the value of the gold is decreasing over time.
Inflation is there from a few different reason. It can be the cause of shift in the demand and supply. E.g. the introduction of ascended armor caused the prices of many items like silk and mithril to rise. This is due to the higher demand of these items.
Another reason for inflation is the increase of gold in the economy. In the beginning of the game we were farming CoF P1 (a lot) and got a few gold per hours. Today we can farm Silerwaste and easily get 10-20 gold and hour or just do a dungeon tour. Since the players have more gold, the prices will increase. The games does not have that many goldsinks and we have an increase in the gold supply. As more player will try to buy the same item, the prices will rise.

Method of calculation inflation:
In order to calculate the inflation in the game I’ve used a Consumer Price Index (CPI). I picked 107 items from the game and created something called a “basket”. Each item is then given a weight depending on how important, that specific item is for the economy. This basket is constant over time and the items and their weight is always the same.
For all these items I’ve recorded the price at the beginning of every month (sell prices in silver). This way we will be able to see how the cost of exactly the same items differ over time. I’ve created an index starting from October 2012 and calculated the monthly inflation for the past three years based on this.
I chose not to use the data from September due to the very unstable prices and because some of the items were not even being sold on the trading post at the time.

How to interpret the numbers:
The inflation research is based on index numbers. For index numbers you set a specific time and the numbers will always refer back to this point. An index of 194, means that the prices are 94-percent higher compared to the first month in the index.
Other than the index numbers I’ve calculated the monthly change in the inflation rate. This gives an indication of how the inflation moves up and down (deflate) over time. Both of these numbers are represented on timelines for a more visual representation.
I decided to calculate the inflation for a some group of items as well, like precursors. For some of these indexes I’ve done the calculations with multiple base months. This is again due to the very unstable prices during the first few months of the game.

My predictions for the launch of Hearth of Thorns:
To say anything about what the economic effects of Hearth of Thorn will be, is very kittene thing that I can say for sure, is the fact that we have a huge influx of P2F players and I will assume that a lot of old players will be returning to the game ones that expansion is out, if they are not already back.

EDIT: The declining deflation is caused by the introduction of maps like silverwaste and Dry top, where players farm a lot. Insteadt of farming raw gold, we actually gain most of the rewards in terms of materials. This causes a shift in supply and causes deflation.

From the declining deflation for the last six months, my guess is that that a lot of players have been saving their gold for things like the new legendries and the other new items coming with the expansion.
From the previews of the new raids, we now that berserker will not be the only viable armor stats and the meta will change to include condition damage (maybe for FotM as well). Many will have to craft new armors and the demand for these items will go up. All these things will push towards a higher inflation, due to a higher demand on the items in the basket.

On the other hand we know that the supply side will change as well. The precursor crafting is coming and from the new map reward system we will get alternative ways to farm a lot of very valuable items. We will get new PvP rewards and the new rewards from FotM 100 and raids will have an influence as well (the non-account bound). These items will push towards a lower inflation, because the supply curves will shift.
At the moment we are already seeing a rise in the inflation and we are not far from the last 2014 number . From all the things we know will be introduced with HoT, I believe that this trend will continue and the inflation will increase even more. This is just my specilations, we wil have to wait and see whatever I’m right or worng.

Conclusion:
So if we calculate the yearly inflation we get these three numbers. For the first year we had a 71,406 % inflation, the second year we reached 81,8668% and for the last year we have had a 6,9829 % deflation (-7%). To give you all some perspective of how high the inflation in the game have been, we can use an example from the real world. For the past 5 decades in the USA, the average annual inflation have been between 1,86 % and 5,82 %. Reaching more than 80 % is very unusual in the real world. The real world is also much more complex and the governments and national/central banks are doing what they can in order to keep the inflation as low as possible (while maintain a low unemployment rate). Areanet simply don’t have the same tools at the disposal in order to stabilize the economy and I would assume that most game economies would look this (Edit: read my 3rd edit where I elaborated a little on this comment).

I hope some of you actually made it this far, I know it was a long read. This is something I find very interesting, so feel free to ask questions or comments below. In the spreadsheet you will be able to find all the numbers and graphs. Thanks for reading!

TLDR: The prices of things go up. You would now need 190-percent more gold in order to buy exactly the same things that you could have brought back when the game launched.

EDIT1: Changed a few words.

EDIT2: As someone pointed out, I made a mistake. The reason we have had a deflation the last year can be because of the introduction of Silerwaste. A lot of players are farming there and insteadt of creating raw gold like dungeons do, we get materials and items back. This actually causes a shift in the supply curve which again causes a deflation. It’s an easy way to get materials and the fact that we have more items comming into the economy, the prices are going down.

EDIT3: As a few people have point this out, i said that Arenanet don’t have the same tools at their disposal at the central/national banks. What I mean by this is simply that they have different tools at theirs disposal, not that Arenanet have no control. The goverments can change things like exchange rate, govermental spendings and can more easily moniter the money supply.

EDIT4: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/the-guild-wars-2-heart-of-thorns-economy/ A new blog post just came out, regarding some changes for HoT. From what I can see, Arenanet are actually going away from rewarding gold and to materials as well. From en economical point of view, this is a very good change, and could be a way to lower the inflation significantly in the future.

Spidy has their graphs because they constantly check and record the prices every 15 minutes or so. There is no way to get historical data from ANet, you have to poll the API and record it all yourself, unfortunately.

Ohh I see, I didn’t even think of that, I jsut asumed that you could extract the prices historically.

Well that makes the project so much harder to do then. I would manually have to go through the graf and record all the prices. The idea was to gather a ton of items and see how the prices fluctuate over time in order to meassure the inflation in the game. Then compare it with pre and post launch of HoT to see what changes in terms of money gain and the prices of different items.

EDIT: Thanks for the help though, it’s much appresiated!

Hey everone

So I plan on making some research on how the prices in the game fluctuate over time and I need to import it all into a spreadsheet. I already have some basic knowledge on how to import different things (I have a spreadsheet using gw2spidy atm). But what I need some help with is import the prices, but from certain times.

Is it possible to import the price of X item from e.g. January 1st at 00.00? And how would I get around to make that into a script, if it’s even possible?

i know that Spidy do have the prices, since they have their graphs, but doing it manually would simply be to time consuming

I just downloaded the new version with the maps. But a problem came up, somehow there is a “50” floating in the middle of my character, and I can’t find a way to turn it off?

A DPS meter is always very handy. It’s kind of sad to see that procentage and health is not implemented in the game, It would have been nice. So awesome program!

One thing that you will have to change about the program, is how it works in pvp. You can use the radar in there (and the other features), which make you able to see where the enemy players are moving to. Which is kind of game breaking, and would be a reason for support to ban you, in case you did use the program.

Bounties impossible for smaller Guilds

in Guild Missions

If that’s your experience you are doing something very wrong, I’ve tried completing bounties with less than 10 people online. If you can’t do it with that many people, you have to work on your coordination.

First of all, learn the routes of the different boss (or keep the window open when you are looking for the bounties). It’s very easy to waste alot of time, if half the guild is looking in areas where the boss don’t even spawn. If everyone is following th route, it should not take more than a few min to find each bounty (except maybe prisonor) http://dulfy.net/2013/02/27/gw2-guild-bounty-guide/

Try do the bounties at primetime insteadt, like at sunday 8 pm. There will be a lot more people online, and you will often be able to kill the bounties with other guilds, since they are killing the same bounties as you.

Having to taxi people into the server is not a problem anymore, since you are doing guild mission each map with always reserver a number of slots on each map. So unless you are +200 people, you will always end up in the same map now (haven’t had this problem since FP2).

Make sure not to waste time coordinating groups after the bounty started, make sure everyone is ready when you start.
Either split the guild up, so each group take one bounty. When the first group is done, the rest go help. Or all go after the same, when the first bounty is kill, all should go after the next one.

Never got to say this, but thank you very much for all the help guys. My spreadsheet is working like a charm, it’s much better compared to my old one were I had to type in everything manually

In your specific situation, you should separate connections from data elaboration.
I would do so:
Create a function that get data from gw2spidy:

function GetItem(ItemID){
    [...cut...]
    return jsonObject
}
and then create a function for each data you need, passing the jsonObject to them:

function GetItemSellValue(jsonObject){
    return (jsonObject.min_sale_unit_price /100)
}

Can anyone help me out with this? I’m not sure how to get this to work. I set up the entire spreadsheet now, and minimized the amount of data that I import to like 30 buy/sell prices, but once in a while it gives me the error and says that the “service” was called to many times?

I just want it to update once ever hour (and maybe show what time it was updated), but I dont know how to do it myself. And can’t really find any guilds ect. online that shows how to do it?

EDIT: Changed the code a little bit, added a utility sleep function, I guess that will help a little: http://pastebin.com/BBhAJHdX

Well I havn’t really had much time today to look into all the things that you send me, but I’ve been looking at some of it for maybe an hour or two, justto get an idea of what to do

http://pastebin.com/Qc1UbmQr

In your example, you are creating 4 connection to a server to know 4 information about an item. If you look at the url about that item, you see that you are asking to the server 4 time the same informations each time discarding all you get exept 1 piece of that ifnormations.

I see, I tried make a new script, in order to minimize the connections but I didn’t really got it to work (try take a look at the link). So the first line i guess is the part getting the data for gw2spidy, while the last part is the function?

Oh thanks didn’t see those, guess I’ll just change it when I get past the first initial part. But What jsonObject should I write? I doubte the line "var adjustedValue = (jsonObject.exchange /100); " is correct?

Hey!

Read these first:

API version 1: https://api.guildwars2.com/v1
API version 2: https://api.guildwars2.com/v2

Note that gw2spidy does not use the official API. It uses the same web service that the game client itself uses to access trading post data. Which is not a supported scenario.

Thank you very much for the links, had not seen them before. I’ve actually been browsing the wiki for a while now, just to get an idea of what you would be able to extract from the API.
But a thing I can’t see is prices of the item? The only price I can find is the vendor price?

DennisChrDk.9823

Hey guys

I was hoping some of you guys could help me out a bit. I just started today looking into some stuff about the API and decided to implement some of it in some google spreadsheets that I have, instead of me manually having to updating the prices. So far, I’m just trying to import some data from GW2Spidy, then I might make it more advanced later on. But my knowledge about programming is very limited.

So first of all, do anyone have any suggesting to maybe a website or a youtube channel where you could learn some of this basic stuff? Or maybe there is a place where I can see some excisting code from some gw2 related API?

So this is the scrip I’ve so far, most of it is pretty much just a rip off from some guide, but I’ve added some more lines from the gw2spidy API v0.9. http://imgur.com/saif8we
Right now I’m trying to add an auto refresh and a timer to when the prices were last updated? Could anyone help me with that? I tried adding a script with the response “price_last_changed” but it just gave me an error.
I’ve tried add an Image script as well, but whenever I use it I just get a link? I guess I’ll have to change the outpu, but how do I do that?

My client crashes everytime I try to open it?

The last few days I’ve had this problem. I open up the client and log in, just like normal. But when I press on the “play” button, it opens up the window, but crashed right away.

The thing is, that I can still play the game. Since I’ve multiple accounts I use the program MultiWars2, but if I run the client through that, I dont have any problems at all. Which to me is kind of wierd, since the program is actually using the same file to open up the game.

I’ve tried doing a -repair, run like admin etc. But nothing seems to be working? Anyone with some other ideas what to do?

EDIT: Computer specs in case that’s somehow related to the problem:
AMD FX-6350 Six-Core (3.9 GHz)
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Radeon HD 7850 2GB DDR5
Windows 8.1

Also, the very initial plan for aetherpath record actually included deliberate wipe before the final boss.

What was the idea behind wiping? What difference would that have made?

Let the fully wiped team respawn. For each wipe the total completion time at the end is increased by 10% – 20% as a penalty.

Yeah I would have liked something like this, I think this would have made some of the matches much more interesting. Like rT’s arah path, to see if they would have been able to catch ip to the other team.

My idea for the wipe rule would have been allowing a team to ress at some wp, but they would have to wait X amount og time (depending on the dugeon) before theu were allowed to continue. This why they would still have a chance for a comback, and made it much more interesting, than just seeing one team complete a dungeon

@ sMihaly
As long as we have recorded our drops we have not had a drop. A guild member from SC have one, but it was before we started recording it, so the chance would not be correct if we added it

Got a reply to my support ticket earlier today. All it said was that some agent were looking into the problem, I hope they really are.

So far no one from Arenanet have said anything, at least just let us know in case it really is bugged and tells us that you are at least working on fixing the problem.

This is a new guild started up to make it easier to find new people to do both paid a free tournaments with. This is just meant as a place where you find the people you want to play with, considering it a huge friend list where you can see all the other people out there interested in PvP just like yourself.

The guild is brand new and we don’t have many members yet. But the more people we are in the guild the more fun and more easily will it be to find people in the future. You don’t have to be representing the guild while playing just come in here to look for people to make a party with.

There are no requirements in the guild according your rank, everyone are welcome. But I have made it so that everyone that joins will be given a rank (member status) where the rank of the person will be showed, so that you will be able to find someone at your own level, if that’s what you want.

If you are interested in joining the guild just whisper or mail me:
