4. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being good and 1 being bad, how would you rate the in game economy?
5. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being a lot and 1 being very few, how would you rate the amount of bugs/glitches in the current build of the game?
You flip the ends of your scale right after another on these two questions. You have “1” representing the “worst” choice, then “1” represent the “best” choice.
In the world of poll taking, this is an underhanded tactic to guide results and is a no no. Do you live in florida?
That sucks, but its honestly unavoidable. There statistically will always be people who buy a product before it goes on sale. Every STEAM sale day has a freash wave of people complaining that they bought X game right before it went on sale.
Awesome. congratulations.
I too have experienced longer loading times AND player models are taking LONGER to render in game. I actually never had culling problems in game, only on the mass scale wvw battles. Now, after the culling change, I see it EVERYWHERE. Its lessened the game immersion for me and I dont like it.
At this point, I dont think the problem is as broad as it was anymore, but I agree that its still a problem.
Ive been running CM alot lately, and I STILL havent found one group that will do it legitly, and honestly I cant blame them, because things like the cave in path 1 are un-balanced to a crazy degree.
They have a consistency problem with this, on top of everything else…
sweetie, I changed accounts, so I’m posting here so you can see my new tag.
cant wait : D
XOXOXO
My thoughts? You hit upon something brilliant.
MMO gamers are super OCD about their hero panels, and if there was a slot on the hero panel specifically for a pet, everyone would make sure that they have one, and probably what they feel is the BEST one.
Pets would go from obscurity to needed.
Anyone notice how the OP is the only person who claims to want game content locked up in the cash shop?
Guess what, its not sitting well. No. Tell your boss that.
Avalix, I have already done all of those things. To anyone who happens across this topic, I highly recommend the exact improvements Avalix mentioned.
That aside, none of this addresses draw distance.
I’m very curious in whether or not its even POSSIBLE to improve the draw distance on this games engine.
One thing I think we can all agree on is how beautiful the game is, I think it is anyway. But, the draw distance in the game is pretty terrible in open areas. Its a bit jarring to always see a great world fade into a mystical blue fog sometimes. This effect became very aware to me after watching someone play Terra online. I dont think the graphics are half as good as Gw2’s, but the draw distance takes you all the way to the curvature of the planet in open areas, and I have to say that was pretty kitten impressive.
Is Gw2’s engine able to improve on its draw distance in the future do you think? It would make this beautiful world so much more engrossing without the “blue fog”.
So we have to wait till level 80 for the repair option to serve a purpose? odd.
What does that supposed to mean?
Because Levels 1-79 dont count?
Was this Anets intention design wise? Im leveling a warrior atm and unless warrior equipment is much cheaper than any other class, than its way cheaper to just buy an entire new piece of armor than it is to repair it. Why are repair prices so high? is this a sign of a healthy economy?
Ok, the fact that these posts are talking about gold sellers shows that you guys didnt read the article. its much worse than that. Give the OP some credit and read please.
Reading that was actually depressing. No doubt these advantages are used heavily in WvW and SPvP. I love this game, but it definitely seems like ANET needs to step up their game, because the playing field is obviously far from even : /
Or just an insane amount of traffic.
Yeah, I farmed for about 2-3 hours to get enough vanilla beans to make omnomberry bars. After I was done, I came to the conclusion that its just not worth it anymore. Its cheaper to pay 1g on the TP for a nice stack of bars than lose 3 hours of my time.
I find this only happens to me in Straits, and its exactly why after map completion, I have never gone back, and never will unless some changes are made. I DEFINITELY dont want a map like this to be easy by any means, but as the OP mentioned, when you are pulled so much that you arent even given an input to respond, thats not really what I would call “fun difficulty” either.
As an ele, I have several condition removal abilities on my bar, but I have had more than one occasion where there was so many pulls, I blew through them and they were still pulling. Nothing you can do about that, except just never go there. If that was Anets intention, then bulls-eye.
There is a jumping puzzle where the platforms appear and disappear, its really fun. Not really moving though. There are constant moving rocks in metrica, maybe you can get on some of them?
I’m sorry, to add to my previous post, I am a Human Male.
Hey there! I have two seperate equipment issues for you here.
1. Mystic Staff
a. The mystic staff model currently disappears whenever you do an emote, which never happened with my other weapon models.
b. In preview mode, it shows that the gems around the staffs head float up and down (looks really cool), but in game, they do not, they are just static.
2. Berserkers Exalted boots / Aristocrats pants
a. The combination of the two currently clip into each other pretty bad in the back. The boots pretty much disappear into the pants in the rear, but are still visible in the front.
Thank you for your attention : )
I was just looking over my weapon master achievements, and I noticed I had over 1000 kills with a sword….but I have never used a sword. I also have kills with Rifle, axe, speargun, pistol, and hammer….Also weapons I have never used. Can anyone explain this, and how I could have gotten these never using said weapons? thanks.
A simple and great Idea. Im absolutely on board for this.
I think my server (Isle of Janthir) has completely given up on this map, as just like you said, every waypoint is always contested. Its so broken for us, its unplayable.
Yuck how can anyone play a game with those huge black borders?
Honestly, I used a multi monitor setup at work (where we play games sometimes) and you stop noticing it. At least I do.
I’d also like to point out that those monitor borders are pretty extreme. The ones I used at work were much thinner.
In FFT there were pistols that shoot elemental magic. The idea sounds fun to me in this game, and honestly, I would have guessed they would have went with that before daggers, not to take away from the awesome daggers of course ; )
I certainly support a cap of 1s for travel.
As a huge fan of Final Fantasy Tactics, I would love this. Want. so. bad.
Either allow add ons or give us some way to measure our dps

I also vote no on this Idea. We already have people ingame demanding to see your equipment pretending to know every build of every class and how you play it, this would just make that mentality worse.
If you can get a three monitor setup, then you can have Anet sanctioned increased FoV. I would love the option to be on a equal playing field with those whom have higher incomes : /
maybe they are trying to say that if you can see more then the person who cant especially in pvp you have an advantage over them. like when you can see people to the side of you without having to turn and look that it wouldnt be fair to the person who cant see whats on the side of them without having to turn. but i do agree it would be nice to have.
He said exactly that. What he failed to mention (or even acknowledge) is that three monitor setups already do benifit from a wider FoV, a feature promoted by Anet. Not only that, it has barely a performance decrease. This makes the “unfair” argument completely moot, because it already is, to all of us refused the option to increase our FoV to match 3 monitor setup players.
Coming from a developer, he clearly already understands this, making his last point dishearteningly disingenuous.
Pretty cool. I wish I could afford it.
So… ANET refuses to offer viable FOV options, but players can achieve higher FOV by simply using a custom gfx resolution or playing in windowed mode. I’m really disappointed by their indecisive response.
Dont forget that using 3 monitors is also a way to increase the FoV, and its a feature thats supported by Anet, while simultaneously telling single monitor users that an increased FoV would give us an advantage over other players. The actions the company has taken and what they have told us are contradictory, and I would love a response from a dev to clear up this issue, which so far has not been responded to.
I may be wrong here, but doesn’t using three monitors just increase the aspect ratio and not the full FoV?
Not using three monitors for gw2 I’m not sure how this game handles it.
It does indeed increase the FoV, significantly.
Now its getting pretty obvious that his responses were disingenuous and a misdirection. As soon as we point out the 3 monitor setup deal, Jon stopped communicating with us. Now weve also pointed out the windowed mode FoV changes AND in game FoV changes during large bosses. And in all of these situations, the game doesnt suffer and neither does the art (the art, in fact, benefits from it).
Why did you think we didnt know about these things jon? they are common knowledge, and they all refute your points. Is this why you have stopped your end of the discussion?
Its becoming very disheartening that Jon has stopped speaking, considering he started this conversation. As soon as we pointed out that 3 monitor setups get all of the advantages were asking for, and are being refused, Jon is completely silent.
Finally, your point about positional awareness makes no sense, as a wider field of view makes you more aware of your surroundings, allowing quicker spotting of enemies.
I think that’s his point – he doesn’t want to make the game easier. If you could have an advantage by using a wider FoV that wouldn’t be fair.
If thats his point, why do they allow a wider FoV for three monitor setups, hence as you stated, given a portion of the playerbase a distinct advantage? And then on top of that, why do they refuse to give single monitor setups the option to match it?
Giving three monitor setups a much larger FoV then refusing to allow single monitor setups to increase theirs completely negates every one of Jon’s points unless clarified otherwise, and only Jon can do that. I would like a response to this.
Jon, I was under the impression that three monitor setups do indeed get a larger field of view in this game. You state that gameplay would suffer with a larger FoV because of positioning advantages, yet you allow these “issues” stopping you from giving us options to exist for anyone who has the income for a three monitor setup. Why is it that single monitor setups aren’t allowed to have a larger FoV, because of “positioning”, but if you can afford three monitors, that issue goes out the window?
I have to say, it seems extremely disingenuous and hypocritical.
This happens to me all the time. I cant just let a downed/dead player stay that way. Unfortunately, not everyone pays it forward. I have seen plenty of players who will walk right over downed players and do nothing. I have been snubbed several times myself. Because of this, I’m not sure if a system like that would be very helpful. It would tell you a player is coming, just for that player to breeze by without helping : (
1. yes
2. no
3. yes
4. yes
5. yes
I just want to add that I completely agree. The only way we will get a response is if the number of people who demand it rise. If this is an issue for you and you have not yet added your voice to this movement, please do so, you count.
Out of six armor sets, not one of the exotic karma pieces of crit dmg%? this is a main stat for many builds on every proffesion, why would there not be any pieces with it? That means that if your build uses crit Dmg%, your forced to get your armor from another farming source and not Karma, which goes against what Anet said about not being forced to get gear a certain way. This also makes Orr a complete waste of time. All those temples being unlocked, useless for me. I’m so disappointed.
@nerva.7940
Even though i’m not happy about the state of the late game, I wouldnt say my experience is ruined at all. Its still an amazing game, and I only criticize with passion because I want this game to be the full potential they promised it would be, for everyone.
I could not have said any of this better, so I’m just going to add to it. Orr is simply not finished. Every single area is broken, and screams it never received proper testing. End Game for Isle of Janthir server is spamming the southern force waypoint DE"s in Straits of Devastation. Yay.
