Yeah I know and that is really unfair but I am sure that you might be able to get into it eventually. For specifically the reason you are listing above I haven’t hopped on alts and done it. The reason people are able to do these events more than once is that they are doing it on their alts. Perhaps in the future events with such high yields should be account bound rather than character bound.

They seriously broke the chest on this one. Guildies i had in my war patrol were all getting level 39.50,62,76 items and rares on top of the fact that they were level 80s some had MF gear on and when the MF gear was on them they got worse items then the rest.

Tell me that MF works, please….I’m waiting for someone to tell me it works properly. Here it is a major event with a large chest that’s supposed to be the majority of items exotic and level 80 yet people with MF gear got worse items then those without AND didn’t have a better chance at a legendary precursor. These armor and run sets aren’t cheap or easy to put together, people with MF armor deserve an explanation Anet.

We deserve at least a post on it.

To my knowledge MF only works on looting bodies not for chests. The chests are completely random. I am sorry if you didn’t get what you wanted

I am not sure about oceanic time sorry guys T_T

I will say that the halloween event ended for us at around 11pm EST so there really is no telling :/ I would just get in there and try your hardest when you can.

I am not so sure about that first part and am actually curious myself since I missed the first part of this event due to work.

As far as hurting the Karka, I think it had something to do with the guns we could pick up from the weapon stacks. They seemed to have some sort of acidic property that would break through their shells. I don’t know if I am right with that but that is my guess. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

I honestly do feel terrible that some players didn’t get anything. I know on our overflow, myself and a team of others after killing the ancient karka made a beeline for anyone who fell on the ramp so that they would be able to grab the chest too. There were some points too where I saw teams of others distracting the veterans so that people could try to sprint back from the waypoint. A lot of us, at least on the overflow I was on were really trying to help others.

No problem. I didn’t want anyone to miss out so I made a point to beeline for the downed players after we killed the guy! I still got my stuff from the chest and everyone from the zerg did as well so it made me feel really good.

I wish other players had been more considerate on the other overflows It saddens me to read the OP’s post.

I dunno, despite all the lag and other troubles that we had, I actually liked working together in a large group. On the overflow I was on our zerg had an entire team just dedicated to rezzing downed players and would provide back up fire if it was needed. If we didn’t split our team up as such, I am not sure we would’ve made it to the end!

Yeah our group was pretty awesome about that too! We had an entire team dedicated to rezzing. I was lucky in that I got knocked off the top ramp (that rolling attack _) and landed down where the ancient karka was heading anyways so our zerg ended up getting me on the way down. After killing the ancient karka I ended up rushing back up the ramp to grab everyone else I could so that they could all get the rewards too!

I am sorry you missed out on the chest Wish you had been in our zerg I would’ve grabbed you.

I could be wrong and maybe this isn’t what you are talking about, but didn’t they just bump everyone up to 80 for this event? I know they did that for the Mad King’s Labyrinth.

I definitely agree with this! I think we could get some pretty awesome looking armors and weapons out of this. I hope A-Net looks into this

Yeah we had a few problems with this too on our server. At one point I had been killed so close to the ancient that it was literally guarding my body and killing people who tried to rez me. The huge spawns of only veteran enemies was pretty nasty too. On our overflow we had about 25 of them spawn on top of us. It got to the point that we had to make a team specifically for rezzing others. I mean I did find the event interesting, but I wish they had more waypoints or temporary waypoints definitely.
