The decided map is not determined just the number that decides the map. The votes determine within which threshold the number falls. For instance AI decides the map number is 0.19. If 1 person voted Foefire (assuming it is the first) and the rest spirit watch it will be spirit watch. If 2 people voted Foefire (assuming it is the first) and the rest spirit watch it will be Foefire .

Yeah maybe I just had some bad luck with maps the last few days. I’t not a big deal to me I was just venting how I was feeling that day.

May as well add that after the new update I crashed five times in one game.. Would be nice for a fix asap.. Cheers.

What’s the point on voting for a map, ? One maybe two people vote for courtyard and the majority of players will want to play a different map yet the map with less votes always seems to come up.
I really don’t see why we vote when the map with less votes has a higher chance of being picked after the spin!

Things i would like to be changed.

1:Bring back 100% completion on WVW maps and maybe move POI and View Points outside towers. Without this i would have never played WVW. (I LOVE WVW)
2:The last Story level should be kept how it was with joining a group. It gives people an idea of what dungeons are like.
3:Either i have played the game far to long now but most bosses part from LvL40+ bosses on fractals are beaten within minutes. Stop nerfing them ?
4:There’s tones of things i want changed in wvw but i don’t think people have the same view as me on this . AC’s should be nerfed or they can only be placeed in areas that are not inline with gates on towers. I would like trebs removed yes removed! I see so many people just sitting in keeps and towers spending 30 to 50 minutes to take down a wall when they could be having fun with a group or something.
5:Clothing bought from the gem store should always be free to change on your character. We bought them we should be able to use them as many times as we like. The items you unlock through achievements you can use as many times as you like, I don’t see why this is the same for items you have bought with real money!

Part from these things I love Guild Wars 2!

You only have to laugh after a zerg fight for hate mail on WVW.. Happens all the time. Shrug it off and block them.

If it was the severs then it would effect everyone, I just logged in no issues ping was at around 70 that’s a little high for me I’m more at 40ish but no problem logging loading or zoning.

Just because you don’t have an issue doesn’t mean there isn’t one. There’s alot of GW2 servers. You can check them out here: http://gw2status.de/

As you can see there are more then 32 servers currently offline and the current online servers do have hickups.

Does it affect everyone? No. Does it affect alot of people? Yes. Is the problem at the gw2 server? Most likely.

I would like to add reddit have tones of people with the same problem also Bugs: Game, Forum, Website also has about 7 threads open about the same problems and on Account & Technical suppot have about 4. It’s mainly in EU servers with the very rare NA server having problems.

Another update.. Tried using a VPN network.. This has worked for some but for me it didn’t and i want to make another comment to keep this thread up top with the other 2 talking about the DC problems.

Really poor effort that ArenaNet have not responded in any of the forum threads about the problems going on at the moment. I have been disconnected from GW2 so many times in the last 24 hours. Reddit has people talking about the problem also Facebook, twitter GW2 last post people have mention about the problem. I’m 99% sure this is GW2 problem to sort out and has nothing to do our side. Even people streaming GW2 last night on Twitch had stop because they couldn’t play. I would be happy if it was a simple message just to say we’re looking into it from ArenaNet.

update: never mind just got lucky on my run instant crash as i left fracs to start a new party lol

Try adding “/clientport 80” at the end of the target in the launcher property.

Create a launcher shortcut, right click on it > property > in the target field add /clientport 80 at the end.

Worked for me so far, at least you can give it a try, good luck.

So far this has been working for me just did a full run of fracs on lvl 9 going to do a run on lvl 19 to see if it still works will keep other people updated on my progress. Also if you’re trying this method make sure the port is open to your network.

People on reddit are calling out the problem also people on facebook and twitter have made comments on the most recent post to get the attention of someone to fix the problem.. All i can see is that they don’t seem to care about the problem.. Most game devs would make some kind of comment to show they know something is wrong and trying to fix it.

Another update.. Got to the third path on fracs this morning then got disconnected again and now looks like another day of problems with Guild Wars 2. ArenaNet really should respond to people about this problem. At lest 75% of servers are down http://gw2status.de/

I’m watching RomOnCoke on Twitch and his game has disconnected and now can’t play.. But he drunk and fun to watch lol

Looks like it could be an EU problem.. People from the US streaming without any problems at all!.

Update: So after some time logging in and out I have noticed when you finely get into WVW you can play pretty much without a problem. But as soon as you play fracs everything starts going all buggy again. I have open all the ports needed for Guild Wars 2, restarted router box and all the usual stuff you do when games don’t work..

This is why I am waiting a few months before I upgrade to win10.. You just know there going to be so many problems at the start.

Chill peepz, no one carez about this problem, we can’t login to defend in wvw but for some reasons the enemy was online…

If it’s an internal problem it will be resolved after couple of hours after the admin call some friends, or pay the tax for the ddos…

You will find everyone is chilled! We’re finding out what the deal is with the connection problems at the moment with Guild Wars 2. And ArenaNet will care about the problems if people can’t play their game.

+1 Got home today excited to play fracs.. After path 1 or even at the start it will just instant crash! Frustrating! Restarted Ruter box hoping that would fix the problem.. Finely looked on the forums to see people having the same problem..Every update gw2 has brings another problem to the game!

- First Person problems: aegis, longbows, items which show over characters head
- Sound bugs (on both skills and dialogue)
- Loading Screen is pushed up like the camera (so 1/3 of screen is black)

- FPS drops
- Sluggish Camera Rotation
- Changing Reward Track crashes game
- Can’t buy traits (I haven’t verified this but have heard it)
- Minimap has a gap (which causes points to go over the screen)

You can’t buy traits, you can only buy the ones you have unlocked already. ( verified with other people in chat )

Can also confirm if you leave it long enough it will finish downloading. 40kbs what a kittening joke.

UK here and also stuck at 99%.. Close to opening steam and picking a game to play if they don’t fix it soon!

I agree, I’ts stupid that we have to pay 200 Gems to play each chapter. Some people don’t live by their computer and wouldn’t have the time to sign in. If it was free for that day of signing in then it should be free forever.

Each episode was free if you logged on to the game once, for a few seconds, within a 2 week period and some were free for a month, iirc, so it wasn’t just one day that it was free.

However many days it was free for then’ It should have just been free forever. I love Gw2 I have owned the game from day 1. I play a few months at a time and I come back on a few days ago just in time for the last chapter.. Woo I have no idea whats going on i can’t go back and play the last few chapters to even know whats going on unless i pay. Just seems like another way to make a fast buck from us who missed it.. I my self didn’t know we had to log in for it to be free I just assumed it would be there for me to play the next time i logged in..
