That’s a great idea.

But I’m more concerned by the Sunday multi-hour event. We’ll see how it gets handled but that is probably one of the worst Sundays for me as it’s also the launch day for the Wii U, and I was planning on spending the day playing the new shiny with friends. Now I’ll probably end up sitting in a corner playing this game instead of playing with them.

Also, I’d be really surprised that 12PM noon PST is really the highest concurrent time on Fridays.

Man, I’d love to see two groups of bots from different servers deciding to the farm the same area. They’d actually be PVPing each other.

The reason we lose to TC is they have a better night presence than us. After Friday nightcapping, FA’s fair weather players stop playing.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t put it past Anet to decide this was a bannable exploit.

Because their culling system is completely broken obviously.

So I just remembered several days ago I bought the Halloween mini pack and the gems were deducted but I didn’t seem to get them. Didn’t appear in inventory or in mail. I thought maybe it would take some time, and it was today while reading some posts about Halloween stuff that I remembered I never got it. Could you please look into it? Thanks.

That was some fun times tonight while we kept trying to hold Maguuma garrison. Spent a couple hours going between the two northern supply camps taking it over, killing yaks, or defending yaks.

Eventually I guess the Maguumas who were in EB (it went from almost all blue to all green) came over and finally smashed us down (aside from the watergate and the trebbed wall attempts prior to that, which was also making us scramble to repair).

WvW bonuses don’t affect you in the current week. It affects you for all of the next week, as long as you stay on that server.

So I’ll report it here.

Right now, on any character, my game will crash instantly, 100% reproducibly as soon as I try to go into the Hero Panel.

Edit: Seems like this may be a bug with the -repair option.

I was able to fix this by finding an old copy of my gw2.dat and letting the game update from that. The final size of the new gw2.dat was smaller than the one that kept crashing and asking for a repair by about 40MB. My GW2 settings directory was also filled with corrupt archive file logs. I’ve kept a backup in case you want to ever look at it for debugging purposes.

How is this a duplicate? My computer is not shutting down. The game is crashing with a 100% reproducible step when I go into the Hero Panel. It’s not even the same crash error as the other posters.

This is completely 100% reproducible right now. Game started being very crashy starting sometime last night. Everytime I repair it, it seems to redl a few files over and over again.

Chkdsk says no problems with my HD.

Now though, after GW2 went completely down for a bit, while in Genderran Fields, every time I press H the game crashes immediately. If I don’t press H, I can still do other stuff. Other panels also seem to work, like I.

I also checked that this happens with other characters, and that I can open other panels just fine.

It’s been fun fighting Maguuma, and even the occasional Dragonbrand so far. If Dragonbrand just had the numbers, they’d be doing quite well I think. Plus Maguuma has two orbs now.

I know some people in my guild was playing on Maguuma last week and they enjoyed playing with you guys there too.

I actually wish the score wasn’t a blowout because that just means we have to move up a tier into completely lopsided matches again.

What are your thoughts on a 0/10/30/20/10 build for WvW as I didn’t see this as one of your recommended builds? I guess specifically:

The Renewed Justice trait seems to be not as useful as it requires you to land the killing blow for the VoJ refresh which can be hard to do in WvW. But the 10 gives the option to reduce Signet cooldown. Any thoughts on Blind Exposure though? Especially when combined with the VoJ blind and the sword blind. Seems like it could be pretty good to quickly take down a target since you say sword/focus is good for 1v1.

10 in Virtues just seems useful for more options in the build since there seems to be several nice to have traits there (e.g. MoC for WoR or Vengeful).

Had some fun late-night WvW with the [uk] guild and took back the FA garrison.

Well, the name of the profession is Guardian. What is the role of a guard in real-life? No, not to protect themselves but to protect some other more valuable asset. You take the bullet and die to keep your employer/their valuables safe.

A lot of Guardian design choices make sense when viewed in that light. :P

Not sure about hitting TC, but the FA group I was with last night on TC BL, we were intentionally hitting BG camps/towers and trying to leave you guys alone so you could cap their stuff more permanently.

Of course, some of the people not in the squad had other ideas.
