Someone saying Xaoc is better then anything on SFR? that’s quite a claim to make. I’ve seen a lot of Xaoc since they server hop, or there is more then 1 Xaoc out there making my post pointless. But if it’s the same guys then we used to wipe them all the time. Can’t think of a single time they were able to beat us.

Probably got footage of it too since we recorded WvW all day for our video’s.

What happened with EC is we got bogged down with the queues. Then our WvW leader left and I was ill so couldn’t cover it so there was little draw to get people into WvW. Then people got bored and played other games so some of those still wanting to WvW moved to Piken Square and those who remained were to few in numbers to impact WvW as a guild group.

I’ve not played in 2 weeks and don’t miss GW2 at all. I log in from time to time and there is usually about 5 people logged in.

So my best answer is that we just don’t care about GW2 any more, it wasn’t what we expected, despite the first 2 weeks when we thought we had found the winner, the game to stick with for a few years. But ofc that wore off fast as we spent many evenings sitting in queues.

I would say it’s a combination of things that has killed Seafarer’s.

Hacking during the Deso/Kodash match up culled a lot of WvW presence. Before that the hours upon hours of queueing culled guilds, my guild fell victim to this. Oct 7th patch also culled guilds from doing WvW. And of course getting higher in the ranks means we face more Nightcapping servers which cannot be competed against, so people again don’t WvW due to it being pointless.. we all know the Nightcapping song and dance routine. And lastly the free transfers means that those who still want to WvW will move to a server still capable.

Seafarer’s may be the pioneering server in what happens if GW2 doesn’t get fast changes. Time will tell, just watch each week as Seafarer’s fall further down the rankings, where she stops nobody knows!

The ultimate thing I think hurts GW2 are the queues for the END GAME content. I’m British, and as a nation we love queueing, but not when it cost’s £39.99.

GW2 will eventually take a nose dive but won’t fall into obscurity like Warhammer did.

Not unusual to see Seafarer’s dominating before night time, even after some of the major guilds withdrew from WvW due to the hacking.

Seafarer’s I’m pretty certain has had no dodgy business going on since launch. That is until last match up when we consistently had the Orbs and my guild at least couldn’t see where they were. And now this week my thoughts were confirmed, and now the guy has gone to Kodash.

Love this ability, a must have imo wether you WvW or SPvP. It’s about the only use a Pet has to a Ranger.

Shortbow and Longbow play 2 very different ways to me. Shortbow is for Condition builds so Pow/Prec/Cond and Longbow more focused on Pow/Prec/Crit. Geared up like that my Shortbow crits about 750 and my Longbow crits for 3k.

I’m still in the process of converting my Ranger to a Longbow build so some of my armour and accessories are Condition based and none of it Rare or even Exotic, I have roughly 2600 attack but not sure on my crit damage, and I pulled off a 3k Longshot.

I’ve rerolled Necro now for my guild but won’t be abandoning my Ranger.

I’m also a WvW player.

I’m not playing an offensive spec so Prec is worthless for me. I’m 30 Death, 30 Blood and 10 Soul. Even though Condition damage is also poor it IS the damage I’m putting out with my Marks and Plague Form AND Scepter off-hand.

I may just have to suck it up and go Pow/Vit/Tou.

Does this armour set exist any where? I’ve looked at the Temples, crafted sets and Dungeons and I don’t see it

Here is my idea.

When the “Outmanned” buff is active all point generation of that Borderland should be reduced by 75%. This means that 600 points per 15mins equals 150 points, over 8 hours that means the nightcapper server would earn 4800 points. 4800 points is not such a tragic score for the prime time players to catch up.

With this in place, when you log in and see yourself 20k points behind a server you know it’s because they out played you and that time period of your server needs adjusting.

Apparently “Kodash” and “Elona Reach” teamed up to eliminate “Seafarer’s Rest”. And I heard that some “Kodash” have temporarily moved to “Elona Reach”. Seafarer’s is nothing to be feared. We rock during prime time sure, but we have 0 night time organized resistance, right now “Elona Reach” currently own everything except a Garrison, a Tower and Supply Camp, generating 660p/15m.

Day 1 – Sea lead the score
Day 1 night – Kod flew ahead like 10k points and Sea and Elo were equal
Day 2 – By 11pm Sea closed the cap on Kod to 4k difference, Elo eating dust
Day 2 night – Kod again flew ahead like 15k points, Sea comfortably 2nd. Elo’s spawn has lovely green grass.
Day 3 – Same as day 2
Day 4 night – wtf Elo, where did you come from? Seafarer’s went into 3rd
Day 5 – Kod stagnate, I’m talking like 10p/15m. Sea rule the day, neither Kod or Elo are good enough to beat our prime
Day 5 night – Elo own the entire WvW, where is the mighty Kod that ruled the night the first 4 nights? rumours of Kod/Elo alliance, and Elo are now owning the night because it’s Kod players that transferred.

Basically by around Day 5 in any bracket it’s clear on what the final positions will be and people just stop caring about the impossible to win WvW, it’s happening this week and it happened last week against “Fort Ranik” and “Abbadon’s Mouth”, by Wednesday(Day 5) they just gave up because the scores were just to far apart, and it’s possible these matches will be 14 days in the future? this won’t give any more chance for servers to catch the leading server, it will just result in 8 days of crap WvW. Last week it was so bad the last 2 nights my guild stopped PvP because there was no one to fight.

Pets will not stay stowed?

Given how useless a Pet is in WvW, I would like that we get something like 20% damage buff when Pet is stowed. And obviously as the topic is about, when stowed, stay stowed.

Citadel Waypoint, Siege Weapons

Here is an example of Kodash(DE) again building Trebs in the Citadel, this particular 1 is built behind the steps. My guild tried to attack it from the ledge below but got Invulnerable spam.

Died a lot because of that 1h sword lock down because while you can’t retreat the enemy can and the skill chain launches you towards them, into the enemy.

Citadel Waypoint, Siege Weapons

I’m guessing the 3 of you also take advantage of this situation.. I want to say exploit.

Building Siege weapons where they cannot be accessed is BS pure and simple. Look at the minimap in the pic, you can see the stairs they run down out of Citadel WP and the slope that leads down to where the Trebs are built. Yes you can sometimes hit them from the floor with GTAoE, and yes it’s theoretically possible to build Siege where I am standing in the pic, but you would also have to build that Siege while under fire from enemy Siege. Look again at the pic and you will also see at the left of the fence there is a Ballista, I have 5k health because of that Ballista while trying to take that screeny. It’s an exercise in futility to build Siege to take out Siege in that position.

As for “seeing no problem” because it’s home field advantage… the home field advantage is being able to assault any point on the map from the centre.

So.. when is gunna happen that Siege Weapons cannot be built in the server owner’s Citadel?Just had a whole week of Fort Ranik(FR) and Abbadon’s Mouth(DE) building Trebs on that cliffside near Cragtop Tower.
