Thanks for the response. I honestly didn’t see the option for a second slot.
I guess I’ll eat the 7 gold and try again.
I have an ascended longbow that was equipped with a Superior Sigil of Force. I attempted to install a Superior Sigil of Accuracy in the new “second upgrade slot” and the new sigil installed but destroyed the original. WTF?
And… the Wupwup item description is incorrect. It’s not “Violet”, it is (according to ArenaNet themselves), “irredescent”. Which reminds me… are you (ArenaNet) ever going to correct the nomenclature for “Opal”. You dropped “Explorer” for “Assassin” months ago yet all of my Thief’s items with Opals are still “… of the Explorer”. In the past twelve hours, I’ve seen the phrase “kitten” used a lot. I couldn’t agree more.
“Gathering Tools” in the wardrobe only works with the sickle; the axe and pick go into an inventory bag.
EDIT: OK… just figured-it-out…
They don’t go into the same “Gathering Tools” screen, each one is moved individually.
EDIT II: Scratch that… it only works for consumable gathering tools, not the “permanent / account-bound” tools. I still haven’t figured-out how to share them between heroes.
Bad design, IMO.

RE: Cook’s Outfit
It transmuted into five copies to cover my five heroes, but produced only one “Frying Pan” which was part of the original set. IMO if five outfits are provide, they should be complete. Also… I do not like that the “combat” helm must be selected to display the Chef’s “toque blanche”. I don’t wear a combat helm and it’s inconvenient to have to select/unselect it to use the Cook’s Outfit.
RE: Clothing Tonics
Bullkitten. I paid real world money for dyeable mix & match, not this kitten crap.
RE: Salvaging
I agree with the poster above. if it’s in my inventory it should be mine to do with what I will, which includes salvaging the item; any item… specifically aqua breathers. I have a few expensive runes I can’t recover because I can’t salvage lower-level aqua breathers.
Weapon Master [Weaponsmith] in each realm’s “Citadel” sells the SKIN.
ArenaNet Support: This is why telling me to “post your question in the forum” is a kitten-poor kittening recommendation.
Did you people not read that I’ve previously purchased two but can’t remember from which vendor? It’s available; somewhere.
I said skin, not the actual weapon, but thanks for trying.
I know I’ve seen an “Einhander” skin from a vendor; in fact, I bought a couple.
Now, though, I can’t remember where he/she/it was.
Anyone… ??!?!?!
Is there a “Zweihander” skin available or do I need to use one and transmute it?
This is something that has bothered me about ArenaNet / NCSoft… A patch will be released and in the next two hours, a half-dozen “new builds” with no release notes. I want to know 1) What they’re uploading to my local machine and 2) What it changes so I don’t try to “fix” their mistake only to make things worse. I am co-developer of a game “helper app” with 153,000 users world-wide. We publish release notes for every minor change we make. Oh, and, if you’re readint this, ArenaNet / NCSoft… we answer our own support requests, we don’t tell users to “post it in the forums”.
2014 03 04 Release…
4.5 hours of play.
Every event I receive the gold “Event Succeeded!” medalion appeard, but NO CHEST!
Did I miss a build release note? I successfully completed both Melandru and Arah last night on Blackgate (home server) and received no Dragonite from either event. In fact, I didn’t even receive a chest from Melandru. I did both from the beginning and received the “Gold/Success” medal. It’s been weeks since I’ve done either. Has Dragonite been removed from the drops?
Aetherblade Broken as well as the Moa and Lawson achievements. In-game they indicate “Success!” but do not register in the Living World / Escape from Lion’s Arch panel.
The “red-ish” flag / banner on the back of the Engineer’s basic pack
According to the GW2 Wiki: All members wear a Banded armor set with a Draconic Coat, dyed a combination of Sand, Calfskin, Pottery, Swamp Grass and Country Teal, and carry a sword.
My question: From what weapon set does the sword come?
Actually… let’s go one step further…
I would be more than willing to pay reasonable real-world cash for a custom “Hound” and “Hound Miniature” skin. The Great Dane is nice, but in real life I have basset hounds.
It would be awesome for my GW2 Ranger to have a basset hound with “nose to ground” travling around Tyria with him.
My Krytan Drake Hound, Mädchen, would like to have a “mini” playmate…
Even saying that, many times different member NPC’s of each order often have slightly different but similar colors on their armor. I have noticed this particularly with Priory and Vigil.
I’m almost certain with the Vigil, they’re doing what I’m doing with my heroes… If you don’t already know, each branch of the US Army has it’s own color; Infantry=blue, Armor=Yellow, Artillery=Red, Combat Engineers=Scarlet & White, Military Police=Green & Yellow, Chemical Corps=Gold & Blue, etc. In GW2 my Engineer wears Antique Olive leather w/ Scarlet, My Ranger wears Antique Olive w/ Rawhide (US Army Ranger berets are Tan). My warrior wears Iron / Infantry Blue.
This is what I use on my heroes:
Vigil (Heavy): Iron / Burnished Steel (The leather trim I dyed “Night Air”; closest to US Army “Infantry Blue” I could find)
Vigil (Medium): Ebony / Burnished Steel (The leather trim I dyed “Rememberance”; closest to US Army “Combat Engineer Scarlet”
Order of Whispers (Medium): Abyss / Red / Gold (Hidden leg daggers: Burnished Steel)
Durmand Priory: Cobalt / Gunmetal (The stripe on the shoulder I dyed “Celestial”)
Dose anyone know the palette for a Seraph Soldier?
I’m trying Iron / Gold but it just doesn’t look right…
This is basically a DDoS.
From where did this information come?
This is an issue of population and overcrowding
This is an issue of poor engineering, infrastructure management and myopia.
I thought Electronic Arts roll-outs sucked.
Just send me an e-mail if you ever get this game fixed.
In the mean-time I’ll be gearing-up for the Titanfall roll-out.
RE: Using Bloodstone Dust in lieu of Condensed Mist Essence
Will this recipe eventually be made available or not?
I used this: http://gw2events.ryanfield.ca/
I would agree and go one step more… make all account bound items available (without the necessity of “swaping”) to all heroes on the user’s account; i.e. the copper salvage tool, the Queen’s Jubilee reward torch, etc.
Has anyone tried this since the 2014 01 21 update?
I’m with Mojo Gris Gris… I have no interest in either fractals or dungeons…

Just received less experience for crafting a stachel of exotic emblazoned armor than I did for crafting one pair of exotic boots. Bullkitten.
I have forged recipes for a couple of armor satchels in the past with no problem. Today I tried to forge the Satchel of Celestial Emblazoned Armor recipe but was not able to. I tried using the same ingredients as I did for the previous recipes (1 Elonian Wine / 4 Arcan Crystals / 2 Mystic Coins / Chest Piece of desired set). The forge recognizes the wine, crystals and coins and another chest piece (Berserker Emblazoned), but not the Celestial Emblazoned piece. Anyone… ?
