I’m unable to do SE because everytime I try to cross the bridge, the invisible bridge troll blinds me and turns my entire screen black. I would provide a screenshot, but it’s just a black rectangle.

I’m not skilled enough to do SE in the dark. Has anyone else encounted this? Is there a way around this?

Asura have honorifics for “first” names : Sevant for example.

Most Sylvari have no second name but choose to adopt one in time if they do have one.
Any idea how their actual name is chosen/given? Never could find info on this.

Back onto the topic, I try to name my characters so that they don’t see too out of place with their race.

Asura: Caerii, Pusheen
Sylvari: Kaleryna
Charr: Evkina (I admit that I stole that from the tree in Divinity’s Reach – I was feeling really uncreative when I made my charr)
Norn: Gavrille
Human: Serenaire, Evlina, Alzareth

People playing with others they know tend to be kick happy – they know they have the support of their friends if they do kick someone.

I also agree with BBMouse.6510 – sometimes it’s just because someone’s in a bad mood. I’m guilty of this. When I’m in a bad mood and some PUG that’s new to the dungeon refuses to communicate with the rest of the party, I kick.

That being said, having run dungeons almost daily since launch, I have never been kicked myself. Perhaps I’m lucky or perhaps those that complain aren’t telling the story objectively.

A solution if you’re worried the spot will be filled by the time you change to an appropriate character or you’re a slow typer:

“/p Hey guys, I’m going to switch to that class/lv80 that you’re looking for so please don’t kick me” and press the enter key straight after you join their party.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about, all the outfits in the hero panel are already in the game – they come back for sale periodically. However I do agree it will be nice if we could buy the outfits year round.

If there’s still space available, I’m also interested in going again, for the same reasons as Jerus ^^

I would also like to join as a student. I have attempted Arah explorable mode once, but I really struggled with Giganticus Lupicus, so I have been avoiding it since. I would be great if someone could guide me on that part so I don’t waste my party’s time

After you double click on it, it will disappear from your inventory, it just gets added to your finisher bank as a limited use finisher. You cah choose to activate it by H > and the finisher tab.

@OP, I would also like to see this being implemented. I really dislike the hat that’s part of the wintersday costume – I never show it at all. It would be great to choose which pieces of a set to buy, and save some gems, considering the costumes are one off-buy instead of account unlockable like in GW1.

I don’t see why we cannot keep living story content for everyone to access whenever they want on their own watch. In GW1, we could go back and check out the first few missions in a campaign your character didn’t start in – I can’t remember what it said exactly, but it went something along the lines of “You are about to witness an event that happened in the past…”. The current living story content can remain an open world event, and any past events could be instanced.

As Argel has explained, I too feel the pressure to continue playing GW2, and the new content along with its related achievements makes me feel insanely pressed for time and takes away from my enjoyment of the game. It is true nobody is forcing me to play and come back to check out new content however, as a completionist I find it incredibly annoying when I am too busy with other commitments to play through temporary content.

My cursor also disappears if I hold down the right mouse button and drag it, but it reappears as soon as I let go – I’m not sure what could be the problem there

I heard that the torch doesn’t register unless you pick up the free one in world 1 zone 2, if that’s the case maybe you could try grabbing it on an alt?

Agreed. It would also be nice if we had a counter somewhere displaying x/y baubles found.

There is a discrepancy between the items he offers to trade depending on if you talk to him for a bit before trading vs. trading immediately:

1. What fund-raising items do you have for sale?
   - Third tab only offers Bauble Bubbles for 250 Baubles each.

1. The Super Adventure Box is an educational device?
2. You said you had some fund-raising items for sale?
   - Third tab now also offers Continue Coins for 25 Baubles each.

Get behind it and stay there, then lure some of the adds. Sometimes one or two will tangent off to the side – those will be easier to lure if you so wish.

By adds you mean those weapons circling him, and not the couriers feeding him, right? My ranger died multiple times on this last night and I finally gave up; figured I’d find an answer here.

Yep, I meant the weapons circling him – as far as I can tell, killing the couriers had no effect whatsoever. If you still have trouble feel free to send me a PM or mail – I’d be happy to help.

not trying to be a smart aleck, but just how did you do that? I’m at this quest with a ranged class and frankly I can’t get to a pillar before going down. The yellow adds appear and before the dialog is out the character is on the ground. Just curious.

Did you choose sister option at character creation? I believe you are only asked about your heritage if you chose that option.

You can do Renown Hearts, Points of Interests and Vistas (general map completion) to increase your exp. If you already finished your race’s starter area, you can go to Lion’s Arch > Gate Hub Waypoint and explore the other race’s areas. An easy way to get to LA from anywhere is to go to PvP and use the asura gate. Otherwise, crafting also gets you some nice exp, but it may get expensive.

The entrance to FoTM is still in Lion’s Arch, south-west of Fort Marriner way point. Any level can go inside, you get scaled to lv80. As for grouping with others, you need to be in the same zone, i.e. if your group is made of people from different servers, the only way you can all go in is by being on the same overflow.

Here’s a video on how to get there. IIRC there was also a scene with the camera flying through Orr that shows you how to get there as well, so you may see some familiar stuff on your way there

The character that talks in the cinematics is the owner of the instance, i.e. whoever walked inside first. But you will still get your story mode done even if your character isnt the owner of the instance.

To get Gift Stopper you need to be the one that downs the person carrying the gift, i.e you do the last hit before the carrier gets downed. Easiest to do with the scout class, but your mileage may vary. This is really silly imo but the only way to get it atm.

I’ve noticed the role switching too, would be happy if they fixed it.

Hello, I was reading my personal story via [Hero > My Story] and I noticed two things that bothered me.

• The section titled [The Battle of Claw Island] is incomplete.
• I cannot meaningfully scroll past [Estate of Decay], when I do scroll past the side bar becomes completely blank.

Agreed, it would make using minis a much less clunky experience. Doing this with town clothes would also give me more incentive to buy them.

They already exist – there are dragon events in a variety of areas that repeat every few hours. And some of them fly every once in a while ^^
