I made a post about this https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/SOOO-many-bugs
No word from devs
I’m getting this also
I made a post with this included but it seems to be unanswered and heading into oblivion
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/SOOO-many-bugs/first#post2548990
Be nice to get a word from the Devs that they are aware of this
I’m on Underworld also
Oh.
Can’t send/receive emails
This one has been for a few days
Ok, here’s a list of the bugs atm:
Can’t join with team mate in Lion’s Arch
Guild showing team mates information wrong (level, name and location)
Can’t access guild bank (tells me I must join a guild)
When doing the story arc “Down the Hatch”, Lady Wi, in her opening speech starts with “Tybalt! Thank the Lady of the Mirror.”
Who is she referring to? One of the 6 Gods?
I think you might have misread the dialogue. She never said her father was dead.
This festival reminds me of when I was little, and my father and I used to go to the carnival in Divinity’s Reach.
Does your father still live in Divinity’s Reach?
No. He’s…He’s gone. My mother died when I was young, and my father…He was taken earlier this year. You must miss him.
I miss the man who used to hold my hand at the carnival, yes. But, let’s not talk about that. It’s too nice a day!You work for Marjory Delaqua, don’t you?
I work with her, yes. I joined Delaqua Investigations a few months ago. I needed some excitement to break up the boredom, you see?Even after outright stating that her mother was dead, she only says, very vaguely, that her father is “gone” and more importantly “taken earlier this year”.
While I wouldn’t doubt that Kasmeer is involved in a dark plot of some sort, just not Lion’s Arch’s, or her being involved willingly. The “he’s gone” and “taken earlier this year” screams hostage situation to me. Plus, her joining Marjory in her investigations into the underbelly of DR, shortly after her father was winds up gone, is suspect as well.
Those quotations could be read in MANY ways imo.
I do agree that the theories by the OP are rather “Tin Hat” but I just thought I’d reply to those quotes to allow for more “Tin Hat” lol
Tin Hatting (is that a word? Is now!) is fun sometimes
- That seems more like a mechanic, rather than lore. I mean, Anet isn’t going to make a second gemstore just to fit the lore.
Kiels “vote for me” video does state that Evon was selling items from the Consortium on the market. That pretty much makes it part of the lore now.
If we were to assume that Kasmeer is a mesmer, then she could easily hide her magical powers, and pretend to be innocent. Deceit and masquerading is what mesmers do after all. But by that rule, really anyone could be a mesmer (-and that thought chills me to the bone). So unless we see Kasmeer actually do anything magical, I think that hypothesis has nothing to stand on.
I think another thing to remember is that the Aetherblade attack was on the whole council, and not just one individual. That one spot on the council opened up is simply a matter of unexpected consequences, because really they attacked the entire council, and there could have been a lot more open spots. So could Kiel really have planned all this, and known that exactly one spot would open up on the council? And what good would it do her? She’d still have an entire pirate council to work with. It’s not like she’d suddenly become the one and only ruler of Lion’s Arch. It’s a pirate council, and they all have to agree on things. My guess is that quite often they probably don’t agree on things. Kiel would be but one lone voice on a council of people that like to disagree with each other. Not exactly the best coup she could have pulled of.
True. But we don’t know what the initial plans were. Whatever they were, and whoever devised them, clearly it didn’t work out as plan. But a good plan always has a back plan and a back up plan for that etc.
Also, getting rid of the council/a council member will probably only be a step towards the final goal. We are yet to see what this final goal is. Whoever the person is behind all this, we’re yet to see what they have planned next.
If Kiel was REALLY interested in a coup of Lion’s Arch – or anyone for that matter, rather than just the opportunity to join the council itself for the sake of being on the council and having a voice among few, they would go after the Commodore position, which by the way is guarded/spied on directly by the Master of Whispers. Though this is unknown except to Whisper agents. Given how Mai didn’t go after the Commodore position, and she was seemingly ordered by Scarlet to go after a Council position, Scarlet is either merely interested in having a voice in the Council and not running Lion’s Arch with an iron fist (which would require both the position of Commodore and the majority of the Captain’s Council members), or she knows that the Order of Whispers is keeping a close eye on the Commodore.
I think if whoever is behind all this, if their end goal is to take over the Council and then replacing the Comm, attacking that position straight away would have caused quite a stir. We probably would have seen the Lion Guard called to arms plus any other society they could muster. The attack on the council was very “Spotlight”, sure, but councilors can be replaced. As long as they got 1, or 2, into the council then they could then start manipulating from the inside (Kiel AND Mai?). Other positions for the remaining dead councilors could be filled by whoever the Comm/citizens of LA wanted.
Attacking the Comm head on 1st would only have lead to one of the council being promoted anyway.
Maybe the leader of this coup doesn’t know about the Whispers watching?
Way pointing is not glitching the game. Also u think they would put dragon corpses in game if they where not really dead?
It’s been pointed out MANY time before (both in this thread and others) that Zhaitans corpse was in Beta but was “Hidden/Removed” when the game went live.
The one being referred to in this post is somewhere where the Devs hoped it’d be hidden so that nobody would notice it’s there. Having to bend the rules/physics of the game or find a loop hole makes it a glitch.
Maybe what people SHOULD be asking though is WHY the Devs decided to remve the body for the games release? (Personally I think Zhaitan is dead but that doesn’t reflect from the question of why they removed it.)
I’m pretty sure during the mission where we see Trahearne use his elite golems, that he states that zhaitans corruption doesn’t effect his minions as they were never alive in the first place.
Ok, so, Southsun Cove opens up as a resort and we get a ship in place that will take us from LA to Southsun.
At a guess (I’m no sailor) the boat would probably leave LA, skirt round to the west of Claw Island and head straight through to Southsun. Simples.
Now the Bazaar has landed. YAY!! And we get a ship in place that will take us from LA to Labyrinthine Cliffs.
The boat would probably leave LA, skirt round to the west of Claw Island, then ….. erm ….. hmmmm.
As far as I can see, any way they go they’ll be entering sea that is notorious for Dead Ships and sea dwelling Risen.
Personally, I would have thought the boat would have been left for Southsun and then we get an airship from LA to the further places. But they haven’t.
So how, exactly, does one sea voyage (I’m going with a single sea voyage because at no time (afaik) is it mentioned that there’ll be changes on the way) take us from Lion’s Arch to Labyrinthine Cliffs?
Wow!
Not having a go here peeps :/
Just pointing out it’s a little confusing when you first get the reward because nothing states how it works until AFTER you’ve paniced because all you see it “Soulbound on purchase”
A little explanation before hand wouldn’t do any harm would it?
On the item itself. If you cared to select it and read the description before choosing.
And yeah, some not getting my point
Feels the flames
Ok, don’t think I’m being clear enough lol.
BEFORE you accept the PA where does it say it’s soulbound?
Afaik, you only know it’s soulbound AFTER you’ve accepted it, or if you look it up online.
they did say they were soulbound on purchase, that is the reason because before i realize i could have as many of them i switched toon to gave it to the right one…
Where does it say that please?
I don’t think I made it clear enough in the OP when I used past tense
which is why I’m annoyed as the skins did NOT say they were soulbound on purchase ANYWHERE
(edited by Fish.1657)
But where does it explain this before you accept?
Oh man, there is going to be 20 of these threads today.
Go to the achievements tab, click zenith weapon, click withdraw.
You can do this as many times as you want. Just like the HoM skins.
You see, this system is better than account bound.
Brilliant. Thank you mate.
Did I miss where it said this somewhere?
WHY are the things we get from PA soulbound and not account bound?
If I’m missing something here then PLEASE tell me I am. But as I see it I have to go looking up what I get in the next PA reward and make sure I’m on the character that wants certain things. It’s not like I can do this by looking in the hero panel (which is why I’m annoyed as the skins did NOT say they were soulbound on purchase ANYWHERE on the tabs), but I have to go trawling the internet.
The fight with zhaitan was utterly pathetic. This dragon absorbs all the knowledge of people it corrupts with it’s magic but it was dumb as a rock and NOONE it absorbed obviously gave it any sort of tactical or technological knowledge of the pact or even god forbid common sense. There was nothing and i mean NOTHING to stop that dragon from slamming the ship and sending it to the ground. This thing was so stupid i guarantee it didn’t need any help killing itself given that it obvious knows nothing(bull considering we’re told several times IT ABSORBS KNOWLEDGE)
Don’t freaken mention this crap and then make them mindless because either they are hyper intelligent or tards waiting to be helped to their doom. Alot of anger in my post but bad story telling deserves no defense.
But it didn’t take anyone in a high enough ranking to know ALL the pacts secrets.
If it had taken Trahearne or his “2nd in command” then I’m sure the pact would have had to back off and re-think things.
I think you’ll find in most “military” groups that not all the knowledge is known by everyone. And a lot of the time there are seeds planted to send the enemy on a wrong path if someone of considerable stature is caught.
As for taking the ship down … I’m pretty sure he tried. Not like he was going to go kamikaze on a ship with THAT much power. I mean, we took him down with a few cannons of that power, imagine how much was stored on that ship and what would have happened to Zhaitan if he just flown into it.
That’s my opinions anyway ofc
What I want to know, is where in the kitten has the thing been hiding? How do you hide a flying/floating city? Its not like it could be moving that fast…
Isn’t there a floating city/castle in the horizon near that skillpoint on the dock? I think it’s in Kessex Hill zone right?
Thats the mages tower/castle thing. Thats been there since GW1
From the way it’s all quoted in the official release it does sound like it IS just flying/floating out there. As it says it’s a “Return” I believe.
And the castle you’re on about HAS moved. It’s in Kessex Hills; Wizard’s Fief:
“The Wizard’s Tower is a floating structure that once resided off Kessex Peak during Guild Wars, at the central southern edge of modern Kessex Hills. It has since been relocated by its new owner, Isgarren, to the southeastern edge of Kessex Hills.1 It was once rumored to house magical tomes and artifacts.”
And no, I don’t think this update has anything to do with it lol
We’re going to get wings and be able to fly in restricted areas but for only a limited time (let’s call it a “Flight” bar) ….. Oh wait ….. That’s just Aion ….
STILL excited? :P
See I’ve been thinking about this after seeing a concept art.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:A_Trap_Foiled.jpg
It clearly depicts a female follower of Jormag. Now, one could shrug this off as simply something they decided not to use and left in because it was cool…….but I have a different though.
What if Jormag feels that, after what happened with Jora and her brother, the female norn has the most potential?
Now as for why Jormag would keep this a secret from the sons, perhaps he wishes them to feel like the chosen ones? After all the Sons all appear to be extremely weak willed, so I imagine it would be a way of stroking their ego. Not only that, perhaps Jormag’s “daughters” as I’ll call them are his trump card and thus he wants to keep them secret?
I like this one tbh. Makes a LOT of sense to me
Skritt: Hey! Fancy going out for a drink some time?
Human: You’re a rat!
Skritt: Oh sure! Cos all rats speak huh?
Human: OK, so you’re a speaking rat
Skritt: Hey! I have feelings you know!
Human: Fine. You’re a speaking rat with feelings
It says that the Sunspears were wiped out!
Really? According to who?
This is what TYRIANS know of the situation.
But ok, lets say it’s been proven. Now, if I was Elonian and wanted to start an underground movement against Polo. Guess what name I’d dust off!
Just a thought
I think the next one will be Jormag.
If they go with Kralk then they have to take the desert into account. I still thinking they’re erming and aring about the whole Elona/Cantha inclusion thing so maybe a little more time is needed there.
There also seems to be a lot more known about Jormag, including the races whose lives he’s ruined. Kralks impact, so far, just seems more about damage he’s caused.
We also have EotN unlocked for those that have linked accounts and it’s kinda just sitting there with it’s thumb up it’s bum. Adding Jormag will clear that area nicely.
I think each dragon will come with a paid for expansion. After all, Anet want to make their money and the dragons are the crux of GW2. I can see a paid for expansion adding a new dragon with story line, new areas uncovered and new playable races/professions .
Kralk will come after that I think as he’s the other one we know about. Then Mod and Bubbles (not in that order maybe) and, finally, Prime. Simply cos he’s been bigged up as the kitten for a while (Dwarves become a playable race at this point???).
Just my thoughts really
I remember reading that Miyani by the Mystic Forge is a Sunspear refugee. Not sure if it’s true… IIRC, it came from one of ANet’s now-removed blog posts, but my memory of this is vague, so I may be mistaken.
“Miyani is a Lion’s Arch vendor who sells mystic items for skill points and mystic recipes for coin. She also offers information about the nearby Mystic Forge. She is also the sunspear refugee who brought the djinn Zommoros with her when she fled from Elona.”
Exploring a little on path 2 for CoF a team mate found a little area after the final boss with a coffin inside that’s chained to the floor:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/545/1n1i.jpg/
Is this the body that Gaheron’s ghost was going to use?
Why is it chained to the floor?
If you view the sides of it, it looks like there’re flames or lava inside. Or is it just some kind of magic on the outside of it?
Who’s IN that coffin?
Here’s a picture of its location on the map if you want to check it out yourself:
Do we REALLY need another post for Kormir bashing?
REALLY?
Everyone is trying to get the patch at prime time.
To be expected
Have you submitted a bug report? While this happening could have been anything, I was awarded that bugged skill point mere minutes after filing a bug report and moving on with the zone. Might be worth a shot.
I did indeed
It would help if you stated which server this is occurring on so they know which one to fix.
On Sorrow’s Furnace this event is working.
My bad.
My problem is on Underworld
I second this.
I spent AGES looking for him, hell, I even found a bug in the cave that allowed me to go behind the graphics, but no ancient shark to be found.
Can’t complete the map without it
