So the last thing I remember is killing Scarlet in Lion’s arch, after she was dead some bad juju started to go down in the Jungle, some pact airship got shot down and we got this new zone, I did a few story missions and then…I stopped playing.

Now, 2 years later, I’ve come back – I haven’t bought HOT yet but I am super conisdering it.

Can someone please explain to me where I being trying to understand the changes that have been made to the game, the progression of the story, a long with some of the new content they have added?

I said exactly this when it first came up.

They could have come up with any other kittening mechanic, like no healing skills or you have to use melee no ranged kittening ANYTHING but reflecting conditions and forcing people to just deal flat damage. Necromancers have like maybe 2 skills that don’t apply a condition..

Should I just remake my character into a Guardian/Warrior?

Just managed to get my tailoring from 0-500 with spending a little over 30 gold and making a 20 gold return.

I proceed to do the math and add up all the prices for making the spinal blade back/Ascended armor and…

What the actual backwards flying kitten? You need ONE HUNDRED bolts of silk to make ONE SPOOL to make a bolt of damsk. Yet Armorsmithing/Leatherworking need only FIFTY.

That’s HALF of what we need to make ONE.

I’m completley confused here how this is fair. Leatherworking is notoriusly cheap to do as leather drops all the time and nobody wants any.

Armorsmithing is a little harder, but you can find ore all throughout the world.

Tailoring requires drops and drops alone. and yet we have the most expensive way to make items?

Where is the logic. Someone please console me.

People who ask for AP are most likely trash players since it’s no way to determine whether a player is skilled or not. Someone in guild earlier today mentioned they had a 15k AP elementalist in their AC pug and they didn’t know what fiery greatsword was.

I’ve also played with a 7k AP rifle warrior.

To be honest, I’ve given up trying to find good pugs, nowadays I just purposely try to make the worst Arah pug groups possible so I can just carry through all of the fights.

Why is there not one last achievement for today? I’ve been in and out of hospital since the start of last October (sometimes spending weeks there before getting to go home)

I’m stuck on 10/11 achievement for Marionette and I can’t seem to get anymore

I can’t complete dodging ones as my computer loads to slowly so when it does load, I’ve already been hit and I have yet to actually complete a marionette so I can’t get the cheer done

I’m using Sigil of force and battle should I change one for sigil of strength?

I made a post about stacking on reddit a few weeks back, I got called a moron and it’s a non issue etc.

it’s incredibly boring to stack and I’ve flat out stopped doing dungeons because of it…I’m so kittening bored of huddling in a corner.

Anet needs to add cleave to everything.

I’m new to world vs world so take everything I’m about to say with a pinch of salt.

Ever since I’ve begun playing my Engineer in world versus world I’ve been using grenade kits as I feel like it’s the safest thing I can do to assist my team efficiently other then putting down my heal turret or res elixir.

I just have a couple question and how I can improve myself.

1: When I’m attacking/defending against a zerg, How do I attack? I can’t perch myself on the wall else I get pulled down by something or instantly killed by AOE/ranged attacks, and I can’t attack because of the mass guardian spam WvW seems to have which means there is a HUGE retaliation spam which basically kills me in a few hits

2: How do I repair the gates when they are being attacked?

I do actually like using Pistol/shield but I hate how it hovers a clear 4 inches off my arm for no reason at all

Would you really use p/s over Rifle? I’ve been getting some nice crits from Blunderbuss and the jump, also 4 has saved me a couple of times

The toolbelt skill is great and it’s a nice as a blast finisher, other then that it’s poo

I’m a primarily pve engineer (With some wvw when I feel like it) and I’m having huge trouble getting all my stacks of might to go into 1 fire bomb.

When I’m in a dungeon at most I can probably get 6 stacks per fire bomb, I’m just wondering if someone has some tips on to perhaps how I can be a little more efficient other then mashing my buttons at light speed

It might help if you specified what you enjoy and intend to do in PvE. Do you like open world zerging, running dungeons, running dungeons efficiently, etc.?

Depends what you like to play best…WVW roaming?…play a thief…WVW zerging?…a ranger.

In SPVP, I’d go for the thief over the ranger although both classes have been funnelled to very little build diversity in order to be able to be successful…

Hi there, I’ve been playing since release and I’ve had some real trouble playing anything lately.

I’ve only played Charr since release and now I am just…sick of them. I’ve grow very bored of how they look, I love them but I want to actually look different for once!

I’m very stuck on what to play Race and Profession wise, can someone give me some pros and cons as a Thief/Ranger? I’m a PVE player.

I am a bold charr player and literally all my characters are Charr.

I have had one human mesmer to level 67 that I deleted to make it a Charr.

And one level 22 Human thief.

I have a level 80 (Charr male) Warrior/Necromancer/Engineer/Elementalist/Mesmer

I dislike the Engineer overall as a class, I do like my Necromancer and would consider remaking it, the same goes to my mesmer and Ele.

I really haven’t given much thought to an Asura thief or Ranger, I have a level 28 Charr Ranger and the Ranger class overall seems kinda “meh” the reason for my choosing another race is purely the fact that I over time have just grown a little tired of always looking the same, I’d love to look different for once.

So basically, just take all of I’ve said and help me decide on a class or a race

Hi there my engineer has been at 80 for sometime now and the only build I’ve got going for me is the Flamethrower condi build where you stack 25 might with elixirs.

While this is fun I’m very bored of non stop spamming elixirs.

Does anyone else have some builds (That aren’t grenades) that are very viable in pve?

As in lets say X does X damage vs monsters

and when in pvp X does Y damage against players

Instead of just needlessly nerfing both of them…

I just want to touch on a few issues here.

1: Since the loot update on the chests events are now over-crowded and guesters are taking spots from people who are on a home server. FACT (Google fact if you don’t understand what a fact is.)

2: My server while it does indeed have a large population, I’ve never once been put into an overflow at prime time ASIDE from lions arch. But that’s LA and Fractals are there so it’s not a surprise

3: For people who don’t understand you can only loot 1 chest per boss per day on that character. If you have 8 characters that means you can loot that 1 particular chest 8 times in a day. While obviously if you just stayed on your home server you couldn’t do every event (Hence guesting)

4: It’s a pretty clear fact for me atleast that I’ve noticed people guesting to my server for events. I’ve even had many people crapping up map chat with “LOOLOLkittenSERVER DESOLATION 4EVARH LOLO!l!!!!!”

5: Underflow. Do it.

I’m from far shiverpeaks and this attitude seems unanimous. Sort it out Anet.

People shouldn’t be able to get chests for doing major events. Guesting is a great idea in practice but underflow servers would have still been better.

Devs, can you make Hodgins invulnerable during this fight but not attacking?

Like the scepters give him a shield so when a circle comes down there is a voice que or a sound so we can see them better.

Okay so here is my dilema. I have serious alt-itis. I’m talking like the worst you’ve ever seen.

It took me 3 months to get to 80 playing non stop. I know every single starting zone back to front and have most likely made over 400g in just collecting tier 1 materials

I want a Medium armor class. Here’s my problem. While thieves are dealing huge damage, they seem like a niche class. I like PVE and some WvW. I know they do well in this area but I just don’t think I can level one.

Rangers are so repetative I’d rather stab my face with a teddy bear. They are just so…BORING. I know they do well in Pve – and wvw. But I’m stuck with the fact that they are so boring to lvel.

So I’m left with the Engineer. A class I hear everyone says is kitten. And yet, I hear people say it’s good. What the hell do I do?

I play Charr. love ‘em don’t play any other races. I have a level 22 Engineer it seems cool, but if It’s really as bad as everyone plays it out, then I think I’ll just give up. The Hidden pistol toolbelt skill is really really nice though. Even if it is bugged and the pistols fire upwards

So please help me understand. If I make this Engineer. will it get better or worse?

Hi there. I use my right mouse button to play properly, without it, I’m useless. The only thing I’ve done different today is buy a make-over kit. And now whenever I hold down my RMB the mouse sometimes stays there and sometimes goes invisible (like it’s supposed to)

This is NOT a computer issue as I have tried this on a friends computer also.

Also, when holding down RMB sometimes it stays on the screen like I said and I can move it around. If I mouse over the party UI it brings up the normal party stuff.

It’s also finding targets randomly and attacking them. And it’s also talking to NPC’s when i’m trying to turn the camera.

Problem was they were A: on another server
B: because of the new system Anet has in place, whenever you leave a party the entire chat log goes.

Hi there, I just did AC path 1 with some randoms from another server and all of them in the same guild.

At the end when the boss was about to die, I was kicked and forced to lose out on my tokens.

Now I really don’t care about the tokens. I don’t. I’ll get over it.

What I really can’t stand is people who do this BS and get away with it. Who do I contact to make sure these people get what they deserve? Short of finding out where they live and forcing them to eat cow feaces.

Aside from the bag, which I didn’t need as I have 5 slots and 14 slot bags already (Seriously, I have so much space) and the 2 rares that I couldn’t even sell on the BLTP

The only thing that seems to be worth any value was the earing, and everyone got that. My point still stands that I feel shafted because I’m a lower level

Oh also, I made quite a lot of gold in the last few days playing with the trading post so even if I wanted bigger bags, it’s not a problem.

To clarify: I wouldn’t have wanted to sell a precursor, I’d use it. I’m annoyed that I didn’t have a chance to get one.

Most of you are either raging about the event, not receiving loot or just plain whining about crap.

I’m a level 30 Asura Elementalist, I have been playing since launch and have many characters, not one of them is 80.

I went into this weekend being told I would be boosted to 80 so I can play it like everyone else. I spent the entire weekend fighting Karka and ignoring my wife

The final event hit today and I like many people got very bored fighting reinforcements, but I kept playing and didn’t stop. As a level 30 I was watching people afk before my eyes while I continued to fight.

Then the chest. That god kitten chest. I didn’t see it at first, then all my guild mates on TS told me about it. So I ran over after they exclaimed they had gotten Dusk and whatnot.

What did I get? Level 39 Rares. The bag and the earring. That was it for me. I had no chance no % not even a glimmer of hope to get one of these items.

As a low level who worked hard and put his heart and soul into completing this event I feel completely shafted by the fact that because I’m not level 80 I’m at a dis-advantage to receive items when I am boosted up during an event like this.

I know most people are going to just say that it’s fair and I should just level up. But it’s not. If I wanted to, I could have just ignored Friday and Saturday, sat around leveling all-day and maybe gotten to 50. But I decided to play. and I feel like I’ve been penalized for it.

It’s not about winning fights 1v1 and it’s not about lack of damage

it’s about the fact that the skills and traits don’t work and are broken. I win lots of fights as a necro but I don’t like playing a broken class

I know this is adding to the plethora of threads on the Necro already but I’m just done.

I was so excited for the changes that came in the Lost shores patch, then I actually read the changes for necro.

I’m just done. The class is broken. playing 1 spec isn’t fun

I don’t know about anything Dulfy has said ingame. All I know is that she’s been ban wrongfuly and now the Reddit mods have removed her post from the sub-reddit.

I think Anet needs to either give her some evidence of this or ban her. She was sent some gold and weapons for helping out for the Halloween event, but as far as I know as someone who uses her site daily to look at things etc, She doesn’t seem like she needs to be ban.

According to lore, Humans were put upon tyria by the six gods (Dwayna, Grenth, Balthazaar, Melandru, Lyssa and Abbadon).

From there they stretched out and made 3 empires – Orr, Kryta and Ascalon. Ascalon was where the Charr had settled (And perhaps Kryta) and the humans pushed them out.

Charr regained they’re strength and attacked all 3 empires at once. Kryta held them back, Ascalon got the kitten kicked out of them (The Searing) and orr got blown the kitten up.

Charr slowly regained the Ascalon lands back so in a way…Charr are Americans. Humans are englnad. Humans did invade the Charr who were at the time, not hostile – Just barbaric and took all they’re land and pushed them north.
