With Halloween just around the next few minutes, i though maybe we should hit it off with a blast and end it with a blast by posting the grand things we got, the misfortune of the event as well as all the scary stories we got to hear from ArenaNET

For example, like for each server, let each server post a few screen shots of them rocking it out Halloween and for about a day, let em have something that no other server has as a reward for decking it out for an event on this scale. [insert bragging rights here]

my question would be: how much can you have and what is the DR on it?

to answer the first part: from armor alone, with no crazy runes, is at least 18%(3% each slot). jewelry would prolly be 35% (7% each). I am not even sure there is MF on weapons but i am sure there is.

so guys, can you answer this? ( yes i am aware of the 50% MF booster so you can include that as well into your calculation, just be sure to include that if you choose to use it)

thanks guys for the help! a lot of reading however judging from everyone comments, it sounds like to me that getting a SSD would only improve overall boot time, which is nice to say the least (my PC boots up in about 20ish seconds), however ram wouldn’t do much for me unless i am going for heavy video editing; which is something i am not doing currently. At best, i would most likely have to upgrade my GPU to the Nvidia GT600 series for overall better FPS. atm, getting a new CPU/mobo is out of the question since they are expensive, or at least the one i want.

However, i think adding in that SSD would be a good start for me and then RAID 1 the other two HDD i currently have.

im not sure if nercoing my own post is okay but i wanted to give an update on this situation since i got around to updating my W32 to W64.

out of curiousity, do ou guys think it is worthwhile to upgrade my HDD to a 7200rpm one for hte sake of faster boot time or upgrade the ram chip to a 8gb x2?

upgrade the ram on it and would will be solid with it. idk the max ram memory with it but 4gb of ram would prolly be safe. check the fine print for the max ram support

@rabbitdog yeah i build it however i don’t have access to a 64 bit version of windows so atm i am stuck with what i have. prolly gonna have to buy one sooner or later

yay i run into problems almost every other day and i have attach the GW2 test thingy for anyone to have a look at.

i don’t know how to best put this so i’ll do my best to best explain my problem. I also want to say that the driver version is the beta version 306.02 for the gts 450 series. I should also say this is a slight annoyance at best for the time being but i would imagation that it would be a huge problem when there is a world event going on and the game decided to blow up on me. every so often, my game client crashes just as soon as i alt-tab out, using the way point, or even entering a dungeon.

I am just curious if this is normal behavior for the client.

idk, at lv70, a few hours of killing stuff in various high level areas seem to give me a lot of coins for my efforts. if i am lucky, 2g + a lot of various crafting goodies.

i am still lost on which server is right for me…hell where is this manual for what server is what? I would like to order a copy!

Usually what they will do is amass a huge slew of accounts, and then ban them all at once during an update… but until then, they will still run rampant.

and updates are pretty frequent as of late so i would not be surprise that Anet will ban alot of accounts in the near future.

I am only about lv62 and from the jumping puzzle, to playing auctioncraft (lol), having fun crafting stuff via discovery, to simply destroying everything in one big bang (or two or three), looking for them annoying vista (lion arch were prolly some of the most annoying thus far), finding secret areas within maps that aren’t marked on the map (i found a ghost ship that was “friendly” wink wink), collecting all sorts of stuff that require karma ( for cooking), getting all the gems in the world to fully unlock my bank for that sweet 8 slots worth of banks, dungeon crawling with PUGs…

I’ll say my end game is a bit huge: just aim for the bigger picture! (pvp just isn’t for me…as i just simply blow hot smoking hot dogs for everyone to eat on aka im bad T_T)
