You downloaded that hyped up unbalanced kiddy-ish wanna be rpg Korean grinding pay2win arcade hack&slash failgame of ncsoft? Thats funny.
Yet has four times the viewership on twitch…
Yet GW2 was supposed to be oriented towards E-Sports from the start, sigh..
Not really…
PvP, yes. E-sports, no.
if the game is in horrible state, you can always ditch the game and come back anytime later.
I highly recommend having secondary mmorpg. thefore you can switch game if you feel uncomfortable with what devs do. Lol
Blade and soul would be good idea to have as secondary mmorpg that would replace gw2 for a while. all you need to check is next patch date of gw2, which is 2 weeks later and then come back and see if it’s good. If it wouldn’t be good then just ditch again and come back next patch date.
Couldn’t get into B&S sadly. The reactionary, seamless movement and animations of GW2 just makes everything else feel janky and stiff(the generic questing and gear grind notwithstanding). Black Desert Online and Star Citizen are my only shining lights in this genre.

This is the response i got
Our development team is currently aware of the issue regarding character deletion.
They’re periodically working to correct characters who suffer from this issue in a period of approximately 2 to 3 weeks. Please attempt to delete your character at least once every week to see if your issue has been corrected.
If you have not been able to delete your character after 3 weeks, please contact us again so we can continue our assistance.
I got this reply in my emails with GM M.D.S_Geist:
(My Name)
I have looked at your ticket and it is known bug issue. I apologize for this inconvenience. They correct this issue every two to three weeks by dumping deleted characters that would normally have been deleted by you. We are currently looking into it
Thank YouRegards,
GM M.D.S_Geist
So they are aware of the issue and it will probably be fixed come next patch. Quite possibly tomorrow.
Just use Rivatuner, works great.
This would have been a fine mechanic…. if it was in-game at release. Otherwise, it’d have serious ramifications on both the market, its uniqueness(RNG is by no means “uniqiue” mind you), and player “satisfaction”.
Yes, 2-Handed Battle Axes FTW. Crossbows and land adaptations for the current underwater spears would be a good additions. Anything else though would likely just be gimmicky and pointless, imo, going by some of the suggestions here. More than half are are just real-life variants of weapons already in game and without any notable difference that could be represented in a game such as this without just feeling like another sword, greatsword, or w/e or are just highly specialized weapons you’d only ever use in a specific case. Alot of them can literally be summed up by the current weapons in game. No reason to for those kinds of suggestions, imo, by anything that can be defined by what already exists in-game.
To everyone else that’s commenting as such in this thread, “sexy” is subjective. One person may find super long hair attractive while another person may not, so to definitively say female human & norn toons don’t have bald options because “it’s not sexy” is fairly sexist, but I digress.
The point isn’t that it’s subjective. Subjectivity is irrelevant in that that Anet as power over what gets added in the game and the vast majority of males(and probably females players too) would likely play with female characters with hair, regardless of the length. The aversion for baldness being “sexist” is also presumptive, irrelevant, and insulting to males or females, given that character gender is not tied to a player’s gender IRL and/or social standing.
Also, we DO have chubby body types. They’re definitely more muscular than CHUBBY chubby, but there is an option for both norn and human female characters that are on the thicker side.
Realistically talking here, the biggest body types aren’t “chubby” at all, except one norn body type in particular. “Thick” is a better word here.
You bring any of those phrases in GW2 and you get chewed out. “Go play wow”, “GW2 was never ment to have them GTFO”
So what do all those naysayers have to say now that the devs has said that was never their intention. Now maybe when some players talk about the way they want portions of future content with maybe more emphasis on fights with roles they wont just be swept under the rug on the guise of “that does not belong in GW”
Please keep in mind that the devs were only against the the idea that a class can only do one thing well. That said, that does not necessarily mean that they outright favor a trinity system. They clearly believe playstyles of that style should be just as viable as anything else, just as long as the player has freedom to do other things that do not pigeonhole them.
People chew them out because many individuals have twisted mindsets in that having yourself and others delegated to one task(dps, healing, or tanking) to clear a dungeon, pvp match, etc, is “fun”.
(edited by Geneaux.9547)
It’s good that it’s long. Humans in particular have too many greatswords that are hardly any longer than some of the longest swords. At least it isn’t so long that it clips with the ground, except Asura.
Its just a game rendering issue of sorts. This happens with a variety of objects in the game. For example the Captains Airship in Gendarren will pop in and out a view at a specific distances, of which you can experiment for yourself. In a similar vein, the same can even be said on the “hidden” Aetherblade airship on the map too(or the mountain that hides it, that is). There’s plenty of other examples that I can’t think off since this is not new to me.
You’ll notice it alot in the game if you pay greater attention to detail while you faceroll PvE mobs, lol.

I do not have sympathy for players who got precursors from the MF by means of the exotic gear the devs gave for free.
I do have sympathy for any who got it by means of a mob drop. That is a justifiable ticket to Customer Service, in my opinion.
Wow nice catch! I always felt something was off with some of the complaints on the vendor placements and what not, but I hardly played pre-Scarlet LA back in the day, so I had no way of relating to it. It still feel very reasonable, in my opinion.

Yes, they need more dialogue but they are at a good start. Though, this community aversion for silence and mute characters is… strange to say the least, but I do not buy the reasoning that its annoying.
From the world bosses I’ve done since the health update (I haven’t done them all), only Tequatl was troublesome. I’d imagine triple wurm would be too.
Claw felt perfect in health, but needs more mechanics to the fight to be worthwhile.
Karka Queen is still too weak in every field.
Inquest Golem Mk II was…. it’s questionable. The health feels a bit high, and it does too few attacks with too high damage (those electric fields…).
So I do not think that all world bosses should be reduced in health. Some should, others could use a buff still. And a buff does not mean solely increased health, but improved mechanics too.
^This. It not as simple as “they all have too much health”.
The three most plausible future playable races would probably be the Tengu, Kodan, and Largos. I find other races like the Skritt, Hylek, Centaur, and Jotun have too much comic relief or sideline draw to them as they typically have very little influence on “Modern Tyria” or at least until very recently since the Pact. They also tend to lack any grabbing story to them(a few exceptions of this would include the Ventari and the centaurs of Dry Top). I think people find Tengu and Largos are intriguing largely because of their solidity and distancing circumstances(and Tengu were originally to be playable as everyone should know by now). Kodan are epic because… well… they just are, ’nuff said.
This thread… oh woe is me. Its bugged, ok, we get it. Why do you need to bash?
People fail to see that unlike the tequatl and holographic wings, these were never mean to “flap”, in that you can see it in their names. The back pieces that flapped never had “Backpack” attended to their names. Which as far as I see would leave me to believe “real wings” won’t be called backpacks. One exception to this would the the Daydreamer’s Wings Backpack but those ones are a bit different for visual but obvious reasons.
I never asked them to flap and didn’t expect them to flap. What I don’t want them to do is flop.
They need an internal structure so they hang like real wings, not limp, cotton stuffed winged shaped backpieces.
Intermal structure? Hang? That’s just an “improved” version of what it used to be, which was ugly. In terms of wings, either they flap, or we just deal with it.
Last time they tried something like what you suggested and aside from the feathered wings, it ended up on the ‘cloth’ portions of some armor pieces in which you’d certainly expect for them just to simply “flow”. Needless to say, it looked ugly.
They aren’t going to be able satisfy everyone because the wings inherently can’t. They either keep the same ’ol ugly rigidity, loosen it up like they are now, or make’em flap. From what I understand, making them hang like you suggested won’t change much or at the very least anything from what they are now.
Unless you mean like “closing” as they do on real birds and “opening” when in movement or falling. Essentially reacting very specifically to the action taking place. That would be new.
“They either keep the same ’ol ugly rigidity, loosen it up like they are now, or make them flap”
Are you telling me that it’s impossible for the wings to be between as rigid as they were and as loose as they are now? Somehow I doubt that. I’m sure it’s quite possible to put some stiffening in the wings so they don’t flop like they are filled with cotton batting yet not as stiff as they were before. They only need not to bend unnaturally when running so that they look like they are boneless. They can also lift a bit when moving and lower again when stopped to look more natural.
Honestly I don’t have a lot a confidence that Anet believes something like this is doable going by some of the animations/physics of certain armor and back piece skins. Whether this is possibly a design decision due to time constraints or incapability by the game engine, is unknown. Plausible though, given the size of the studio and their reputation when up against a AAA brand measuring stick with big names like Blizzard, Bethesda, or EA.
I won’t say this affects me much because I’d much rather have better-looking armor physics or animations in the same vein as the heavy armor leggings “Grasping Dead Legguards” and medium armor chest piece “Marauder Jacket”. Not the kitten ugly rubberbanding other leggings and chest pieces(the trench coats) retain.

Yeah thats not high enough, I should have stated that.
Even the largest settings arent large enough
For you.
In theory GW2 should benefit greatly on DX12. MMOs are normally very CPU-bound and have to account for many variables, especially player-counts. DX12s main emphasis is on the CPU anyway. Though I doubt we’d get any huge increases to performance on a 64-bit client but nonetheless, this day and age, I see no reason to continue to support obsolete technology when it really is not necessary. 64-bit PCs are not expensive and hard to obtain and are overall much more beneficial if everyone used it; cuts out useless legacy development. Leave archaic software and hardware to businesses and professional nonentertainment use.
Just steal something. Problem solved. :-P
Don’t be a smart kitten all your life…. that doesn’t solve the problem of when you do not have a stolen item.
You’re complaining over an icon(or lack of one I suppose) when both functionality and visibility of the control is still present. This a major problem because?
Did I say it was a MAJOR problem? no, but yes I am complaining that it looks bad.
I’m supposed to believe that given you dedicated a thread on this?
There’s a reason(I don’t feel the need to explain) as to why many folks don’t make subjective threads like “this looks bad” often, as if everyone thought is was an issue to begin with. If everyone was crying foul over it(engi hobosacks), then a thread would make sense. F2 icon? Not feeling it, but I’m not speaking for everyone else, however IMO, I think it’s obvious.
Believe whatever you like m8, this is a forum, people can post about things that bother them without it needing to be a MAJOR issue, and you are right, you do not speak for everyone but I am now aware of your opinion.
I’m pretty sure I am not alone in thinking that this skill icon could use a little love…
For what it’s worth, its meant to steal, gain an icon based on what was stolen, and store it for later use. It cannot be activated unless f1 is used first to gain the stolen item in the first place anyway. Looks as it plays, as far as the eye can see. The only problem is that it doesn’t have an icon for the sake of an icon. Simplistic ideology I will never agree with.

facepalm I don’t feel like grinding because anet decided all eles need 100% earth. That’s 60 points in something I don’t want and can’t switch out of until I gain 60 MORE points.
All they need to find this is a “refund traits” button. We had it before, it’s not hard >:(
One of the main purposes behind the specializations was that you had to work towards your progression. Essentially making your character’s abilities more “meaningful”. That said, a refund traits option would completely defeat the purpose of that and probably specializations in their entirety as well(down the line that is, when more specializations are added).
I didn’t realize that more meaningful meant being forced to play my character in a way I didn’t intend him to be played. Their should not be a refund button I agree, however they should have let us allocate out points instead of doing it for us
Post by Jon Peters seems to bring some insight to the decision.

This bug is indeed getting on my nerves.
Have you even “bothered” to contact CS about your issue before coming to the forums expecting results? I ’suppose not.
How about that in the proper Guardian section, where you’re likely to get more willing discussion.
So when asked before about why Guild Wars 2 wasn’t coming to consoles. We have a few articles like this. One reason they say is that it won’t is because consoles require a subscription to their service to play mmos.
http://www.vg247.com/2013/07/02/guild-wars-2-next-gen-consoles-and-the-mmo-conflict/
Final Fantasy XIV, DC Universe Online, Elder Scrolls Online all don’t require a paid PSN account on the PS4. Elder Scrolls Online does require xbox live gold(payed version).
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/01/28/the-elder-scrolls-online-on-ps4-your-questions-answered/
http://www.usgamer.net/articles/elder-scrolls-online-will-require-xbox-live-gold
Can you please tell me what if any changes are made on the console stance? Also was this the only reason cited for not making a console version?
I think this would be one of the best mmos on console or PS4 only if Xbox wouldn’t play ball. Arena could make more money. It is already one of the best rated mmos on PC.
I would believe the reasoning as to why ESO and FFXIV are without subs on consoles is because publishers/studios pay the necessary contract fee(s) to setup and maintain such a situation with the given games for the console manufacturers. PS Plus and Xbox Gold subscribers may in fact also be paying for the subs on those games(internal dividends of sorts). I suspect ArenaNet/NCSoft would have to do the same as Zenimax Studios and SqaureEnix have. Multiplayer support is excluded on games from free users on consoles for one reason: money. I suspect that console business practices like this don’t sit well with ArenaNet(and maybe a myriad of other things we don’t know about).
Nonetheless, there’s just no real reason for MS/Sony to tell us if any of these things is actually the case because it still benefits the paying subscribers on console in the end. No way in hell it makes sense to pay three times(ISP, Plus/Gold, and sub) when you’re already paying twice).
(edited by Geneaux.9547)
huh?
He’s thinking of these.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segway_PT
I know we still have 5 dragons, but I’m just saying this now so the writers can consider it. After the dragons are dead magic becomes uncontrollable. Evil as they were, the dragons DID regulate magic. So the Pact (or whatever is around then) thinks about some artifact or creature that could fairly regulate magic and end the chaos that has broken out. They decide the bloodstone shards are best, and we get 5 xpacs going after the 5 pieces. Then some segways into Elona, then Cantha, etc etc, and possibly the next Guild Wars gets started somewhere along the way?… Also, Living World seasons in between xpacs to Segway stories. Even now, for the dragons. a season or two between each dragon, and then each bloodstone xpac, and so on basically forever. Yes, these are necessary, because think of this: Without the LW segways, if we went from Zhaitain’s demise to the Jungle would you understand what’s going on? No. Also, perhaps Anet may decide to ignore the uncontrolled magic stuff and go for the second Guild War. I think they could and should do both. I have some more details I might post if anyone is really interested.
They only regulate magic in that they excrete it when they don’t need it(ie hibernation). The other races don’t factor into this equation because to them, we’re just insects. The last time they awoke, they steamrolled almost anything that breathed(#rekt). As big as all of the plot elements are in GW1, to the elder dragons, they could care less. Especially given that their immense power literally cannot be gauged atm.
I’m not sure about bloodstones. Like how did the elder dragons come about consuming magic, if Abaddon is the one who released it into the world.
Are we talking about those two-wheeled electric scooter things?
It’s a slang term sometimes used to describe transitions of discussion in a video.
Anet already tweeted that they were working on it. Seems to be fixed now.
OP: shut up. No one complains whether the price is steep. It’s the fairness for vet players and new people, who both pay the same amount of money but have all access, including all character slots, yet vets couldn’t even get an extra slot. Enough with strawman, now scram!
Get off your high horse. $$$ price the only why this discussion exists in the first place.
Now we’re getting to the meat and potatoes.
No Geneaux I wish to make sure i’m getting value for my money. The game isn’t dying the Gemstore has been keeping it quite happily afloat, take a lok at the Q1:15 earnings GW2 is making money. So it’s not like Arenanet requires a donation to keep the game living.
So?
Getting “value” for you money is factor that applies you and you only. It is an amalgamation of what you enjoy versus what you are willing to pay and how much you can pay. As such, it will never be the same person to person, for obvious reasons.
But right now we have a FRACTION of the content GW2 had at launch and only $10 off the base game, this is a problem. Where is that extra cost and value being factored in. It made sense at release for the game cause we where getting a TON of stuff a new world already fleshed out to explore.
They’re BETAs for a reason. but then again a beta is pointless if you can’t playtest the rest of the map. Unfortunately, that would only serve to spoil the rest of the expansion. Which is EXACTLY where the uncertainty lies.
We don’t know WHAT we’re fully getting so far ALOT of this content will be coming out before launch even and at the moment 50 USD is not worth the price of the content we know we are getting…
Yes we don’t know what are getting but that is the only other logically valid reason to refrain preordering other than you simply do not want to. Anet can’t force you to do anything, they can only pick and prod.
So lets do some simple math here.
If they aren’t struggling for cash and are actually making money through the game, even before the expansion drops.
And we the players are being asked to dump what is essentially 10 usd off the launch price for the main game. Why does this cost nearly the same as the launch price for a fraction of the orignal content for the game? Are they attempting to cash in on us? Is it simple greed or are they delusional enough that
GW2 is worth the same, content wise as HoT
I know many people don’t do this but it is really kitten easy to find this game for cheap. And If people are acutally frgual, even this wouldn’t be a problem. Secondly, unless they REALLY care about this game, potential buyers would simply walk away the take their desires elsewhere. The $50 problem doesn’t become a ‘problem’ until you’ve paid for it and we all know its too late by then.
Understand this and you understand why the playerbase is ticked and confused EVEN MORE SO the vet players.
People ticked off for whatever minutiae they can think of. Loving the broad generalizations though.
Ladies and gentlemen, fanboyism in its rawest truest form.
There is so much we dont know so I ask again how can anyone judge value at this point? Surely you’re not going to argue that if HoT has 3 maps or if it has 15 maps it would still be considered to have the same value right?
I actually agree with this. It’s the lack of any information about the content, combined with give us your money that’s freaking annoying.
If the content warranted the $50, the fact that we vets are getting shafted wouldn’t bother me so much. But don’t sell me hype and expect me to shell out coin without some real information. Or lie to us for months on your FAQ’s and try to hide it -_-
Oh please. Anyone who’s watched the streams is aware that these maps are large, or at the very least bigger than any other map in the base game. That said they come with additional “floors” at would be at the very least of 3, and could be more for all we know. What you have not seen does not excuse what you have heard, and I’m positive you are aware of this much. Anet cannot afford to skimp out here.
How do you procrastinate on the value of prices?
Do you even read the posts here?
Dude, you do realize by your own vocation that’s like someone showing you half of something behind their back and saying “50 bucks and it’s yours” Well can I see the rest of what i’m buying that’s a lot of money to be investing in a few things here and there, can I see if it’s broken, scratched up, can I at least see the details on the item i’m buying?"
So far we know we’re getting two large maps, guild halls and a bunch of gamechanges KEEP IN MIND these changes will not come with HoT but actually be released before hand into the main game.
And yes we do have reviewers for the expansion when it comes out.
“But if you want all those shiny bonuses and stuff we off, throw your lot in with us now, commit and hope it’s what you’re after!”So in retrospec 2 maps, a class and guild halls ((Which I believe might actually be coming base game as well))
for $50 USD take a step back and re-read what you said and what I have clarified on.
That’s what you have issues with? Shiny stuff? SMH
How can some of you look people in the eye and claim Arenanet is not giving you a whole lot of content(HoT specifically) when you haven’t played or experienced everything(and I mean EVERYTHING) that is this expansion offers, hmm?
That’s actually also an aggravating factor – we know sooooo little, yet they slam us with this “deal” ha!
I mean, if they had already laid out a ton of content I probably wouldn’t care, but we barely know how much and what we are getting. I don’t want to gamble thanks.
If you’ve ever preordered once in recent years your already not in a position to complain. The only solution to preordering anything is “voting” with your wallet in the form of nothing. That’s really all that needs to be said on that.
@OP, ok i dare you to prove everyone wrong and make the comparison list
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/Question-about-value-price/first#post5158535
Am eager to see it Maybe u will convince me to buy it who knows.
I stopped when you said DX12. Obviously you can’t really be taken that seriously.
this xpac is clear worth the $50 price
You base this on what exactly? They have revealed nothing of the new zones other than the beta area.
Which is why you wait until the expansion releases to see if it is “worth” it to you, based on “reviews”. Which IMO is downright silly. If you truly like something, go ahead and pay for it, otherwise you just live with some regret that manifests itself into some form of pessimism that only contributes to a toxic community.
In that light, the “if you don’t like it don’t buy it” is simply poor reasoning.
That’s not poor reasoning at all. If you’re truly that dissatisfied you’d be writing a formal letter to Anet expressing you concerns. Otherwise, it’s just a matter of voting with your wallet. That’s all it’s ever been. Pricing practices remain so because there’s a market for it.
I’ve got to get this off my chest.
-How can some of you look people in the eye and claim Arenanet is not giving you a whole lot of content(HoT specifically) when you haven’t played or experienced everything(and I mean EVERYTHING) that is this expansion offers, hmm? Do any of you have access to some leaked version of the full expansion or w/e? Enough with assumptions and back seat game development. You don’t work for Anet.
-The base expansion is $50. Ok, cool. Historically, most MMO expansions have been about $40-60. So how is this a problem? It’s because people keep equating whatever “value” the game has with games that aren’t even in the same genre: ie every game that doesn’t require an internet connection. They just don’t say it(probably because they dot understand the meaning of their words). Those games(usually) don’t ask for this level of pricing because they don’t have to continue developing content for it. People can continue to play those games well after the publisher and devs have moved on to other projects. MMOs(and MOBAs) don’t get this luxury.
-Yet naive individuals here will procrastinate on the “value” of the prices. There is no “value”. That’s a subjective emotion you make up for yourself to justify your purchase. And there’s nothing wrong with that. However, it holds not one kitten ounce of meaning as far as the quality of the expansion goes. We have reviews/reviewers for that.
The price of reason is steep.
/rant
At least we can still all agree that the real only valid argument here is that the standard edition does not come with a free character slot. As it should, at the minimum for people who bought the game very recently.
Started having this bug today. Used a total makeover kit and went to the hero panel to redye the armor to fit the new look, and found the dye preview all messed up. In game looks fine.
This bug seems to be very inconsistent. Some people have it, others don’t, and they affect different professions, person to person. My Thief if affected by the issue but none of my 7 other professions are(I have a toon for each class).
Not to mention the rubberbanding effects nearly all the non-metal portions of armors in the game have. Meanwhile, Grasping Dead Legguards remain among the few armor pieces with decent cloth animations and effects.
The only things that we can say that are likely slated very soon is the LA rebuild and/or PS update. Everything else, especially Specializations update, Trait overhaul, the Heart of Thorns expansion, is still ways off one way or another.
This is the direct quote from the front page.
“Come Home to Lion’s Arch in the Next Update!
Prepare for core specializations, the rebirth of Lion’s Arch, and more!”Saying prepare for and listing multiple things would make one assume they would be coming together.
“Stay tuned for more information on what you’ll find in the next update!”
Is also at the end of the post.
If it was a separate update it would have been a separate blog post and closer to the date.
We all know what ‘assumption’ stands for, but I digress. Having those two statements in a single sentence doesn’t imply an update with all of that at once. At this point, an update with all the bells and whistles is just wishful thinking and speculation based on previous talks. And it looks likely LA is on the table first, or at least PS, based on the aforementioned timeframe they gave us in a post a while back, about 3 months ago iirc.
To be honest we saw most of the professions ingame aside from engineer, There wasn’t that much left to do, 2 traitlines got overhauled and some engineer stuff got changed and arcane. Other than that i guess it was just one trait here and there. I would imagine bulk of the time was spent thinking up traits but they could have easily got it done by now.
I made the mistake of equating Core and Elite specializations. See above.
We’ve only seen 3 elite specializations, that’s it. We don’t know the Druid firsthand and we don’t know the Tempest’s gig is. A mere third of the roster so far has been explained.
The only things that we can say that are likely slated very soon is the LA rebuild and/or PS update. Everything else, especially Specializations update, Trait overhaul, the Heart of Thorns expansion, is still ways off one way or another. They are very big changes to the game, and they require time… time we have definitely not achieved, imo.
We’ve only seen three specs so far(Mesmer(Chronomancer), Guardian(Dragonhunter), Neecromancer(Reaper)), aware of the names of two more(Ranger(Druid) and Elementalist(Tempest)), and the remaining three are still shrouded in mystery(Warrior, Thief, and Engineer), both literally and thematically. I don’t see these changes coming any time soon to be honest. I think people need to learn to wait, in general, instead of rehashing the same pointless speculation and rumor threads over and over. Our prediction power is no greater than what that_shaman, or anyone, can grab from the gw2.dat file
I believe you are confusing the Elite Specializations (Chrono, Dragonhunter, Reaper, etc) with the complete overhaul of the Core Specializations (our current trait lines). They clearly stated (I believe it was in their twitch stream summary of the core spec changes https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/ready-up-core-specializations-summary/) that the Core Specs overhaul would be released BEFORE HoT comes out and the the Elite Specs would only be available with the expac.
So, it would appear that today’s blog post about the changes to LA and the Core Specs coming in the next update can indeed easily be interpreted as “coming soon” and definitely before the expac. Especially since, based on the video I linked, most of that overhaul appears to be done.
Bah, I made that mistake again.

GW2 has a tendency to keep playing the music of the zone you just exited and waits for it to finish before playing some music for the new zone. I’m unsure whether this was an attempt to create a fluid transition between zones, but I believe it breaks the immersion of the new zone you’re entering, not the other way round. I don’t feel that cutting/fading the music of the previous zone and starting the new zones soundtrack is an issue, but is instead a fantastic way to set the tone for where you have entered.
I find myself disabling the music in the game as it just breaks the Immersion to much for me in certain situations due to all of this!
It would be great to see zone specific music return to the world of Tyria, whether through a feature pack or as part of the Heart of Thorns expansion. An MMO is all about the immersion and music is a massive part of that!
Let me know if you guys feel the same way and hopefully we can get some Dev’s looking in on this as well!
Ehh? That’s not really all that jarring. Then again, I don’t value “immersion” with things I’ve already experienced. It’s just another day in Tyria, to me. I only have HoT to renew that drive as of now.
EDIT: Actually, I like it when the music continues to play. It allows me to continue to enjoy some of the pieces of the soundtrack I like before they end and play the current map defaults.

well whenever i target some friendly players in the game my character will not move it’s head unless i have my weapon out
It WILL move regardless of stance. As mentioned before, its more pronounced the target is taller than you, or smaller.

This has been brought up before, but I’m pretty sure they are just going to wait until the full class reveal. It’s pointless to try theory-crafting without all of the class information, so they are probably trying to stifle useless speculation.
It’s not only theorycrafting. Gathering info, giving feedback, sharing questions and answers, gathering the best questions for future betas etc.
Sounds like what the HoT-section is for.
argh, too complicated for me….
You’re certainly not alone
