Got this today (exotic version) and also a few days ago (blue version). Looks like it didnt get adjusted with the MF removal patch.
Also comes with ‘Crest of the Assassin’ which I’ve seen is also bugged – same for this item series.
This is laughably sad.
You knew you had already done it once this month and you came here to to say you didn’t get laurels and that they removed laurels from the monthly reward.
Astounding train of thought.
Who said we’re losing sigils in ascended weapons for infusion slots.
Got mine last night. Thanks for resolving this.
Hm, still unresolved here.
(but it’s sort of isolated, so you guys who got it are extra special )
I feel oh so special. In fact… I feel pretty. Oh so pretty. I feel pretty and witty and bright.
Anyone seen a dev response about this, yet?
Edit: Aaaaaaand there is one.

Same here, headstart, been listed as “12 months” and still no gift.
During the very early leveling process when you might not have an offhand.
Yea I mean I’ve seen every patch notes that has been released thus far by ANET.
Very professional. Minimal nerfs. Mostly buffs. And if there is a nerf, they offset it with a buff.
In this patch they obviously ruined S/D and crippled shortbow with basically NOTHING to offset it.
Let’s talk rangers….
I see, as maybe a lot of others see, your points. The ranger pets – yup, seems heavy handed. Hell, mesmers gain access to a new and yet again sneaky condition – a complete double-take moment. Thief S/D – right there with you. The wording, to me, is the catch – “largest balance patch”. They tend to want (success being a different topic) many many combinations to be viable. So often does that mean the strong stuff we use gets driven into the dirt. This hopefully will open up some previously wanted yet not-as-strong combinations in specs. Don’t take that as a defense of Anet on a development end, just an observation. I still question the lack of a denouncement and the leaked patch notes’ validity… wish we knew.
I’m gonna call it now. The person who made these patch notes mains a warrior, ele, and mesmer and got rolled by BM ranger and S/D thieves one too many times in tPvP (because noone uses S/D in WvW; it’s pretty obvious he plays sPvP/tPvP). That would explain EVERYTHING.
Myself and two of the six or so thieves I run with use S/D in WvW…
And no reason they’d get this Torment condition if that was the case.

Most any company would quickly denounce they’re validity if they are fake.
Not if they’re getting free feedback to some things they are possibly exploring.
I was thinking a similar yet different approach. These could very well be leaked notes and collecting feedback about the changes since this is the “biggest balance patch”. However, just letting the conversations go on actual fake notes to get feedback on ideas they’re possibly exploring is too far fetched for me. The chances of those notes lining up with what they are planning on doing if they aren’t real seems low. Since the patch has been announced, this isn’t research time for them. They’ve already set down what they’re planning on doing for the most part. There also seems to be a lot of sync in the notes between different sections.
All speculation.

Good times. Sorry to hear your video editing was on the fritz.
Oh, come on. You could make the exact same arguments against dungeons. They do not scale, they force you to be of a certain level, and solo players are screwed. Or are you going to tell them to “Just join a 5 man pug”?
I find the given reason (viable gameplay options for all different kinds of players) perfectly valid.

Hm, the dungeon bit is not quite the same. That doesn’t require joining a guild, just a group, and for a shorter time period. Certain level, yes, but that starts at level 35 (45, and so on). The potential rewards attainable are available through soloable means (money -> trading post; karma -> temple vendors).
I see the initial analogy, but it is not quite the same.
You don’t have to be in a large guild to do them; people from outside your guild can participate. You only have to be in a guild to start the events. Guild events just require a large number of people for the most part.
Which is random. About as good as a lot of the RNG issues in this game. It is essentially a semi-private upgraded dragon fight. If you don’t know it is happening, or where it could happen, or what time it is happening, or even if there people on your server are doing a particular one, then it doesn’t benefit a player at all. Which, as stated at the beginning, is just random.
I’d love to, and will as much as possible, “leech” off the big guilds just as we all use their banners in Cursed Shore, WvW and in front of dungeon entrances. But that’s a static location. Same as the dragons, and those have timers. This is player-based (and somewhat server-based) events.
No one, myself included, would care if it didn’t involve the chance of a precursor. That’s a big failing here. They didn’t add (or at least say they did) any other ways to get such a highly valued item(s). That’s what makes this gated content. Not the content itself, but the potential reward.

10 member guild do fractals together 3-4 times. They raise 100g fund out of this.
They buy 50k influence. Unlock guild missions.By tomorrow you could be already able to do missions even on a 10 man guild, so I guess you got your answer OP.
Workarounds and alternate suggested paths are not solutions.
That is one helluva quotable dev response.
By offering a variety of content, we can have a game that lots of people can enjoy. There’s a lot of content out there, but there’s not a whole lot of things for a coordinated group to do larger than 5 people to do. Guild missions were made to remedy that.
It seems to go against the scaling nature that has been built into a lot of GW2. You add in a cool new content system for guilds, but it is gated to a high level. We all know you and the rest of the staff have been hearing this over and over – just hope you’ll do something about it. Releasing it as-is also goes against other additions ANet provides. It’s not scaled. It is a way to “get something” but to do that you must be in a larger guild. There is no scaling in a system that dun dun duuuun provides possible precursors and that is the failure of this content system. You as a company had to know there was going to be a lot of backlash with this particular addition.
“Just join a big guild” is not a solution, ANet.
For shame.
Each page is full of lulz.
Wish they’d tie threads like this to check accounts for a thief. This is about thief gameplay, not QQ about getting killed.
Aside from that, the versatility is what I see in these discussions. Expand that and the types of thieves will become more varied. Torch offhand, better venom sharing, etc. Nothing specific, just along those lines.
Any class in any game with stealth gets a large portion of the complaints. This won’t change.
Entertaining post. Good times.
Please bring back his QoL feature.
This is a quality of life feature. Removing it is just adding annoyance to your player base.
You aren’t going to find any opinion that doesn’t disagree with your decision.
Texture errors? We can live with that. Don’t remove a QoL feature because you have some odd and rare texturing issues in a PREVIEW window.
You’re better than this, ANet.
Level 31 skritt in Plains of Ashford, three times. Mind you, we’re generally downleveled to 12. One-shots from skrit. Saw several correct level 7 skritt from presents, however.
What about the new Giver weapons?
+10% cond duration, prec, vit
A step in the right direction. Thank you.
