So when I first got the mistlock sanctuary pass I couldn’t stay there for more than 5 minutes. Else my entire client crashed. Thought it would get fixed soon, since a lot of people had this problem and the item was all new. And adding to that it is a gemstore item where people actually payed real money for that.
Therefore it shouldn’t be ok to have it bugged like this for a long time.
Today I’ve been using it again properly for more than just 2 minutes.
And guess what?
It is STILL bugged. It still causes my client to crash.
Is it just me or do others still have this problem?
Will Anet fix it soon? Or better write a ticket to get the gems back?

I know that Anet got a lot to do with the expansion coming out. But a bugged Gemstore Item shouldn’t stay bugged for this long imo :/

Great… not thought this would ever come. Now a few months ago I bought a full set of asc armor for a heavy class. But maining a medium armor class. And since i didn’t see it coming that i will ever able to get legy armor .. yeah… this kinda sucks.. WIll I be able to exchange my asc heavy armor to medium via support ticket or do I have to grind for another asc pvp armor? Which could take very long even if you play PvP a lot :/
Then I would also still need to grind the other stuff (like the PvP Gifts) to get it done :/ That’s a bit… yeah… ._.

So for the first time ever I bought a pass key simply because a portal to the fractals is included. But now I encounter that if I wanna join fractals over that I won’t end up in the same instance as my group members if they are already inside the fractal.
And if I stay in the sanctuary for a few minutes my game crashes.
Please, Anet fix that ASAP I didn’t buy it to just have to still go to lion’s arch to get into fractals….
Anyone else having those problems?

Oh please make long hair for asura ! And maybe some others for female humans. The only one which really looks good is the one with the flower and almost everyone got that…

Tbh I voted “no” because this would just support class stacking which really should be removed…

You all know that moment when you’re trying to kill Svanir and then someone from the other team comes around, lands the last hit and they are getting all the points? Despite you worked the most on it?

The final issue is going to be, I can never actually spend my LI because then I lose the profit of entering raids.
Maybe players should get a title achievement. earn 1 point every kill, 5 if you do a wing complete (so 2 bonus points) and every 25 points is a title upgrade?

Well they might see then your legendary armor but on the other side not everyone who raids wants to craft it. Some people just want to raid for the sake of raiding.
Maybe they should give us some accbound item which proofs how many times you killed a boss (example like having the heart of vg and the more hearts you got the more you killed him)
It would also give people who killed a specific boss like 10 times a better chance to get into a group if they want to kill it again.

Not only that, but this is a material used for Legendary Armor crafting, it’s not an indicator of skill at all, I’ve seen groups which ask for 100 LI and want to be carried.

You should get inside a friendly guild or something (unfortunately mine is doing raids with 2 groups on Mondays and I can’t get in there at all, I don’t have time to login at that point), right now raiding is in a bad spot for PUGs, I mean when you have low LIs and no spammable killproofs…

And even those who have like 100 Li might have them only from Vg and escort. <they still might not know anything about for example Gorseval, but they still can join because… duh… 100 Li
Idk why people use this as an indicator of skill and/or experience.

I’m kinda desperately searching for a raid guild but (massive BUT) I would really appreciate a guild that does runs without TS.
Reason : I am very sensitive to noises etc. so it would affect my ability to concentrate properly A LOT.
I am at a point where I would join even with TS but please… I really don’t wanna talk to strangers :/ I’m terribly shy and also got ASD.
Also I don’t want to join with rep. requirement (besides raids) because I got my beloved main guild.
I did escort (4Li) and many training runs at vg, never got to a kill tho (just down to 2 %). I know all other mechanics and rotations from videos and guides etc. Watched and read nearly everything I could find.
I main : dps staff thief (full asc)
viper necro (almost full asc)
magi druid (working on that soon)
I would really love to get further into raids.

Great idea. Also a tutorial on rotations. Some new players I encountered didn’t even know that you need to cap points.

hmm swapping toons before the match starts sometimes saves it. If the swapping persons know what to do at all.
And usually you should be the mid support (if you run a druid build) but I might have misunderstood your sentence and you meant that no one else but you is might.
Then I would simply go far or stay close to defend it.
If your team is fighting out of points – tell them. Won’t really help but it’s worth a try

You play necro, thief is your counter. Get over it already.
It might look like thieves are OP but consider that other classes can easily take them down. You all can whine here that thief is so OP and what not.
But honestly did anyone on here ever thought of that as fast as he can kill someone he can get killed?
Also simple solution for a necro : don’t go close or far where you’re most likely encounter a thief

However, everyone’s deviation got reset, so your still move up and down a lot from this new rating.

Why even include the old rating? Since higher MMR was detrimental (higher queue times, harder to earn pips) a lot of people did not care if MMR was low.

So that the esl players would have less of a chance to match up against people who bought the game last month. It would have been much more chaotic with that approach.

Yes. We’ve done a full reset before and it was awful. Keeping everyone’s relative position means matchmaking isn’t completely random at the start of the season.

But Evan… getting a new pvp system without a full or hard mmr reset just won’t work either. Before this season you could play as a full team and now you just can’t. Which simply means that some people do not have the mmr that they actually SHOULD have.

API key from others? Isn’t that against the AGB’s?

And I’m just hoping that pvp achievements during ranked will give you asc gear, if they want it to stay available at all. Ofc you will still have afk’ers but it might reduce it to an extend.

No I’m not. But since I am on the autism spectrum I simply can’t talk to strangers (selective mutism) and even listening can be a problem since I’m very sensitvie to noises. If people are talking too much or too many people at one time it can lead to a meltdown and I need long recovery times for this. So I avoid getting into this as much as possible.

Also class stacking should be removed. Add achievements to the asc gear (if you want it to stay available), like 30 wins for the leg piece, 50 for the chest etc.
Would at least reduce afk’ers.

When you get people like this Match after Match…. -.- And all he did : fighting against air.

And if so, can you still buy it for ascended shards of glory then?
Just curious as I’m still thinking that adding achievements to it (like win 50 ranked games for a chest piece) would be a much better idea.

I would at least start a training group (first just for vg) if someone is interested
Even newbies are welcome.
My only requirements would be : know your class, know the mechanics (from vids, guides etc), bring correct food and build (metabattle.com) and ascended weapons and trinkets.
If anyone would be interested leave a comment or message me ingame.
Would set up trainings for tuesdays and sundays.
The thought behind that was to give people who can’t use TS due to a disability the chance to raid.

You might not have read the thread correctly I asked what if someone is deaf etc.
which means they can’t HEAR. So it doesn’t make sense to use discord, right? :P
And I think that other people with disabilities like that DO want to raid but no one wants them in the group since they can’t use any voicechat programm.
And I don’t think it’s a bad idea since you are more focused and need to take care of your mistakes. Also it wouldn’t be a bad idea to give hearing impaired people or people with other disabilites (mutism, ASD etc) a chance to raid.

There are groups who raid without ts. However those are exp groups. I´ve never seen training groups or something alike without ts.

If you are exp I probably wouldn’t kick you because you can’t use ts. You provided a valid reason to not join. However, since you only know VG i wouldn’t take you with my group. Simply because I would have to write down every mechanic, every mistake so you can improve. That’s something im not willing to put my effort and time into.

There might be groups who will take you. I´d ask in the guild recruitment section and maybe reddit.

Also you can’t tell me that it’s not possible without TS since my old guild manages to clear each wing without TS.
Why I’m not going back there? I got bullied by the leader himself.

So if there is any raid group who would take a newbie with them, I would gladly join.
I am only experienced at vg, though :/ I only know the others from videos.

I still wonder why you are putting pve gear into pvp? I mean someone who only focusses on pvp doesn’t need pve gear. Ok with the ascension and it’s achievements to get it – ok.

Honestly this was a uber mistake ! If you would have (at least) added achievements to get it then it would have been ok. But this??
As it is now it just brought afk pip farmers etc.

But, obviously, you do not need ascended armor for PvP. It doesn’t actually belong to PvP, therefore it should not be a reward, in my opinion.
On the other side if a PvP player wants to try Pve content he doesn’t have the ascended armor (for fracs, raids etc), since he might not have the mats to farm.
Best solution : they should have added PvP achievements to get the armor :v)
Like : 20 wins for the arms, 50 for the chest etc.
But as it is now, it just lured a lot of new players to PvP (also afk farmers) who don’t know the rotation etc.

Gonna work on it tomorrow. But it would be on EU.

Guys I didn’t mean that I want a guild to join to help me out.
I would want to help those new pvp players out and wanna create a guild.
But I couldn’t do it alone and just asked if anyone is willed to help too.

You all can judge me for this or say that it’s a terrible idea, but since this season is so fudged up and brought us some (unexperienced) new pvp players.
Why not creating a guild where those veterans can teach them?
About their classes, map rotations etc.

or how about a new game mode? at round 1 you gotta take the point (other team needs to def it) and the next round your team needs to defend it and the other team is trying to take it

for your point 2 (with the fairies) you might find some players characters costumized fairy-like, you could ask to take screenshots.
and for your point 4 : best to go chest farming in the silverwastes or tarir- multiloot, and open the bags on a level 52- 55 character, it gives more t6 mats than at 80, also I would salvage the items (except rare and exotic ones).
Check the professions you need to make the dreamer on the wiki.

If you can keep 3 people busy that probably means they are really terrible, meaning that your teammates are probably pretty terrible as well (to be matched with each other), and seeing as how they couldn’t cap mid, that’s the case.

This is a tell tale sign that you should probably be helping your incompetent team mates. It’s also the extremely tired cry of every bronze/silver (and even lower gold) ranked players who think they’re doing awesome and their team mates are bad but they’re really making bad decisions themselves and can’t see the bigger picture.

This is why you’re in bronze.

So then tell me how I can help a team which won’t even listen to the slightest advices?
One person can’t carry an entire team, if said team just doesn’t wanna listen etc.

wtf is this? did 3 matches just not count?
Or do unranked matches not count there (which would be logical) but then again I only played 2 matches unranked since the season started and not 3…

THIS ! I’m also stuck in bronze hell, trying my way out which simply won’t work since I CANNOT carry an entire team, no matter which class I am playing.
I got so low in my rankings and that it is displayed for everyone in my fl or guild to see I’m utterly ashamed. I’m not a “pro” player but also not bad.
But now everyone thinks I am bad and almost no one wants to duo q with me.
This is so kittened up….. Thank you Anet for creating such a toxic environment.
And thank you for not giving us ANY statement on this.
I played more games than the “best” player of this season and I’m still in bronze.
Also I am under a friend who got 0 wins, and 9 losses.

My main professions are necro, dragonhunter and revenant (in PvP)

Now with season 5, I noticed a lot of new PvP players who want to learn how it works as in their classes, traits, skills, maps etc.
I also noticed a lot of experienced players turning their anger and hatred against those new players, instead of trying to help (even if they ask).
So if you’re reading this and want help/tips for pvp I’m ready to ask your questions.
Even ready to queue with you (on EU server).

Why are you complaining?
You are getting 5 pieces of asc armor for FREE !
You just need to play a few games, not spending any gold (surprise you can even get gold!), not spending any crafting materials, no achievements to do for it.
So be happy with it.

I noticed a lot of new players who REALLY WANTED to learn how to play pvp, wanted tipps etc.
All they got? Hatred and abuse.
It’s logical that they can’t improve to the better with that pressure and those negative feelings.
I’m asking here to help them.
Would it be so bad to be kinda like a mentor to them? Duo Q with a new player, explain the classes and the maps to them, give them tipps etc.
Even if you play a few games unranked with them.
If they got any chance to improve and got tipps etc. they will get better (by time).
If not this season, then the next.
You could even start a guild for them (experienced players helping new players)
Just an idea but maybe all we can do for now.
Ofc it will still get AFK’ers and people who just want the gear.
But with the new rewards also people who actually would want to learn it.

Depressing to see…. Guess this season is breaking us all. I really loved and enjoyed pvp- until now. I swear if I got my ascension (I doubt I can finish it this season with those teams) I will never play ranked anymore.

I always read things in here like “you need to carry your team” , “you are were you belong” etc.
But no.
I DO NOT belong into bronze, yet I am stuck there. Even the prematches were totally failing. I only had bad luck since then. The system is still just luck based.
I am trying to carry my team all along. I got every class to play and I’m even flexible to switch.
But, how can I carry a team if they won’t coorperate? How can I carry a team if I got 1 or more AFK’ers who are just there fot their free asc gear?
And to be honest arenanet. Free ascended gear for just playing ranked? WORST IDEA EVER !! I end up more in matches with players AFK’ing than actual players who wants to do anything.
How can I carry them? How can I even climb up the ladder like this?
Just duo? Now tell me who wants to duo with someone who is really low in the rating because of that?
Is it really my fault that I got people like this in my team?
I’m a decent pvp player and I know that I don’t belong there. I made up the way myself in the last seasons. Never asked for getting carried etc.
Now I am here.

At some point I stopped trying to carry. Or even heal them. It’s just too much. I can’t do it anymore. My pvp heart is broken. Thank you arenanet.
As much as I love your game, I equally hate your pvp system.
Some changes NEED to be done, at least for the next seasons.

1. IF you make ascended gear in pvp available ADD achievements to it (like win 30 games ranked for a chest piece etc) , so we won’t have those AFK’ers

2. make ranked pvp available at pvp level 40 or 50, so we won’t have a lot of unexperienced players.

3. Class stacking HAS to stop ! It doesn’t give you an equal chance of winning the match. It’s not skill based like that. Just luck based. (that change doesn’t need to be in unranked though)

I don’t know how other people feel about this but having more than 1 of a class in your team (or the other) just doesn’t give you the equal chance.

So dear arenanet, you really gotta work on this. If you care for your players then please do ! This season is really the worst of all.

I’m a little skeptical when players say they’re stuck in a division because of poor teammates. The cream still rises to the top and usually if you’re not rising, it’s more to do with you. Everyone gets on bad teams from time to time or has unfavorable class match ups, but you’re just as likely to be on that team as matched against it.

Players also forget this is a team game and different builds serve different purposes. Some builds are designed for 1v1 and you should be winning most of those engagements. Others are more support and team fight oriented and just because they can’t 1v1 doesn’t mean they are underperforming.

How does it have to do with me if I’m on a team with 2 + thieves and the others got like 2+ dh’s? I only said how this can be fair and balanced? I know what each class is good for but with a system like that it’s just not fair. The teams don’t get an equal chance of winning like this. Having more than one of the same class
in one team just doesn’t make it fair and equal.
