Can anyone that played ESO pvp explain how do guilds organize when a new campaign starts? Do they always play the same campaign and alliance?
Also is there a TS server for a certain alliance/campaign?
Guilds will go buy how easy the campaign was, if there were good fights they will choose the same campaign the next round. Also guild leaders would try and find out where others were going so they can get into a populated campaign. It’s been a bit but I think they still have the monthly one and weekly one. Usually one side dominates the monthly one and it remains dead for the majority of the time.

Yeah NA T1 I can’t speak for other tiers but on ours it’s terrible.
Nothing in the patch notes about the Oasis event basically crippling the whole borderland every time it’s on? Maybe get rid of the event all together and remove keep upgrades at least till you fix it. That’s not a minor bug it’s huge! That’s the sort of bug that killed SWTOR world pvp
I don’t see how bringing the old maps would help. I’m on a T1 server and prior to HoT coming out the BL’s were a ghost town. People seem to migrate to EB now because that’s where Commanders go. I have a feeling they can’t be bothered to learn the new maps.
I agree there are some issue with the new BL, Lag, the silly PvE content, auto upgrades although that’s not a huge issue I personally like it. But seriously if the old maps were dead bringing them back won’t do much.
Anet needs to bring more of an incentive to actually go to the WvW maps. Maybe make specific skins and rewards only catered to WvW or better gear. There should be away to work on masterys in WvW but at a slower rate then PvE. Things like that.

I noticed once I started using 64 bit it dropped everything to medium when I select auto select, I have an i7 intel on windows 10, 16 gigs ram running a GTX 770. Desktop
I also noticed in wvw when the weather changes everything seems to stop and then go again, sometimes even people disappear and then come back. Didn’t have that on 32 bit client
The one thing that may make GW2 feel more grindy then WoW is in WoW when you finally did get that full set you wore it like a badge of honor! lol the gear was better all around in PvE and PvP. Where GW2 you’re mostly working towards getting a new skin so it doesn’t feel all that rewarding.
Haven’t played the new stuff in WOW but old school it was pretty brutal. Doing 40 man raids which take 2+ hrs have 1 maybe two items drop per boss. You can only imagine how long it took to gear up 40 people with specific sets to do it all again on a new raid lol.
So say 5 bosses per raid, get around 10 drops in 2 hours so lets say that gears one person. So to gear 40 people it would take 80 hours but the drops are random so a specific boss might not drop your last piece you need for 10-20 times doing it which turns it from 80 hours to prob 200 and that’s just one dungeon
Then of course there was the weeks on end learning the raid in the first place before you even get any drops..Oh yeah! Those were the days when hard core players meant something. Taking 2 days to get 250 hero points is pretty care bear.

You guys do realize that before HoT came out the WvW maps were pretty dead and dying pretty fast and I’m on a T1 server, I could log in during NA time and there would be some good fights for about an hour., only night that was really busy was reset night. I don’t think bringing the old maps will do much for increasing the population. It might help putting reset back to Friday tho.
NO, sorry but the mindless drones will just have to learn a new Karma train path.
There’s an event you can do to blow up the doors, if no ones around should be easy enough to do.
I like the new maps, there’s just not enough people. I was expecting it to pick up since it was pretty low on the old maps as well. Maybe time to merge servers.

Let’s face it, Anet didn’t cave in because there was a few whiners, there was a 3K long post here and another on reddit. That’s a lot of negative feed back. Plus they didn’t cave and say here you go…you still have to get 250HP per character and I can tell you there’s tons of people who haven’t done world complete. In fact I know people who only do WvW and haven’t touched PvE.
Can you get HP or anything towards mastery in the event?
250 is fair, people want to play their new classes. Mastery are mostly for PvE which a lot of people don’t even play. I think another reason they did this is to get people back into playing WvW since the borderlands are pretty quiet while people slowly get HP. Plus there are people who didn’t get HOT and they don’t want them to lose interest because WvW is dead at the moment. It’s a good call on Anets part.
Mastery you can work on anytime, there’s no bouncy mushrooms in WVW lol
You have to remember it’s 250 per character, it’s not like 250 unlocks all your alts as well. Sure people may get to play their favorite toons elite faster and I’m all for it. Having to grind out 400 per alt is a bit much.
This is a good change, I had no issue with 400 if it was a one time thing but 400 on all my alts would be a pain for sure. Thanks anet
LOL what a joke I was grinding for that as well, why put it as the last track if it’s useless and it takes like 8 points? who cares about autoloot in pve. I hope it’s just a bug.

I think the issue is people play GW2 to avoid the typical grind you find in games like WOW or Rift or ESO. But Anet decided to go the WOW route and their fan base is like…huh? lol I think if you can obtain mastery in WvW all would be well in the world but PvPers are now forced to do PvE.
Hold up…auto loot doesn’t work in WvW when you get the mastery? is that intended or a bug?
I think not being able to work on masteries in WvW is what’s killing it at the moment, everyone is forced to grind pve. Seems kind of dumb since it’s Guild WARS!!! WvW should be their baby. Not a WOW clone of getting reputation.
I would give it an 8 for design and a 1 for making people grind what seems to be the same as reputation in WOW. Also you get no mastery xp in WVW or the Halloween events it seems so they are basically forcing you into those zones.
The lag on the new WVW maps was terrible in big fights it was unplayable.
We should at least be able to gain mastery XP in WVW I can understand not earning the HOT ones but the other one we should.
So played on YB last night huge fight in the middle for the event. Lag was terrible no one could do anything it was comedy at it’s best. Should have done more beta testing.
Midnight here, why do people want to log in right at release? is there an event or something?
I would think the proofs are account bound, it would make sense then leveling past 40 in wvw has a purpose.
That the new map will be empty!!!
I really want the new map to be successful but with all the mobs and pve nonsense I have a bad feeling after a few days the queue for EB will be huge lol
I really hope they listen to the community and make this a success.

People say 40HP in the jungle and you’re golden, I have a sneaky suspicion you won’t be able to access the majority of them till you grind out masteries.
Clearly they wanted to make sure everyone pre-purchased first before announcing something that may upset the community.

From the WvW forums it states 400 HP to fully unlock an elite which seems like a lot for an elite line that really isn’t all that great. Sure they’re pretty cool but for the cost they should be fricken AWESOME SAUCE!
This is a really stupid idea you’re going to lose players since most people won’t bother doing a reset that lands in the middle of a weekend. Who’s bright idea was that?
I have no problem doing less DPS and higher heals but my heals need to scale up to the amount of damage others can dish out, as it stands the majority of heals are for groups so getting into fights as a druid it’s going to be tough since your self heals won’t be close to how much you take one on one and doing low DPS you’ll just get killed. Unless I missed something that’s how it felt to me.
I liked the over all feel of the Druid, I felt the staff damage was on the weak side. The heals were great for groups but I felt the self heals were on the low side. If we’re going to specialized in heals then our regen and self heals should be pretty amazing if our damage is going to remain low.
I do like the class tho
So I love the idea of healing but I also love bags lol so in WvW if we run around healing people we won’t be tagging anything so…does this mean we’ll get shafted for bags?
I think Druids will be great for keeping large groups alive, I don’t see them at the front of an attack of commanding, first off no stab, some of the new skills actually causes damage to others and yourself. Lower toughness, no plate, no reflect. Some of the best skills have a long cast time. I think they will be great for powerful range heals and switch to bow for some pew pew. There’s some GTFO spells so you can jump into the zerg and get out again. Do a quick condition removal and escape. Druids won’t be tanks tho, this isn’t a Feral Druid from WOW so don’t panic lol Pus it hasn’t even been beta tested it could be horrible! The flying dragon that casts AOE fire and immune when in the air is pretty sweet for sure.
The whole idea around Druid is now Rangers have a group mechanic, before we were more of a solo selfish class. Groups didn’t want us because we added no real value. Now we have a spec that will be awesome in groups. You can still just be a ranger like before but at least now we have an option of a more solid role in a GROUP setting. No one is making you become a Druid if you don’t like healing.
I think the Druid class looks awesome! Yes you’ll be a dedicated healer and yes you’ll shine in group dynamics probably not so much solo. Even the developer was like “yeah I’ve been reading the druid…I mean ranger forums” lol clearly the Ranger class is dead and they are morphing it to Druid. With huge AOE heals, stuns and dazes with insta cast heals, one removes 30 conditions from party members that’s insane and an immune dragon that flies and does AOE fire lol I bet it gets nerfed but since there isn’t a lot of rangers around these days we’ll prob be OP for awhile
I like the new map and I hope it breaks up some of the zerg fest, lets face it 2 years of running in a circle biggest blob wins gets old.
From what I can tell all the masteries are pve based are there WVW ones?

I hope it’s account wide, if you have to do world completion on all characters just to get your points that would suck big time.
Glad they stated it;s broke and won’t be fixed this time since it’s a short one. I tried it for half hour noticed no drops and bailed
Feel bad for people grinding all day.
I end up having to trash everything every time, be nice to have slots available for all the items so you can swap as you please. It’s just one of those simple things that would make life easier lol

Druid would be interesting, problem is GW2 isn’t really class based like other MMORPGs where you need a healer. Everyone can already sellf heal and get heals from combos. So not really sure what a nature loving druid would bring to the table unless group heals were totally insane
So what’s the deal with bags in beta? we gets tons of gear and stuff and like 20 bag slots. It’s very annoying opening one beta chest and it fills everything! You guys should max out the space available so we can open everything and test. sheesh.
