Yeah I was going to switch to jag but his stealth is longer haha plus hard to give up my dog with fear and my cat with Mighty Might which is pretty sweet and an AOE at that. I was testing the stealth on the dummies in LA and I would stealth by my pet wouldn’t. I’ll have to test it again, you’re right tho for 3 secs dont really need to have the pet stealth as well since it’s so short.

Okay so was playing wvwvw for a good while yesterday and I haven’t really found a good use for stealth yet. 1 It’s too short to really run to far. 2: It doesn’t stealth your pet as well which seems dumb since if you see the pet then you know the ranger is around. 3: To many big fights that if you have any sort of condition or damage of any kind you pop ut right away, in fact it doesn’t even go off. It basically does nothing. Since you have to be in combat to use it, you’re either engaged and have dots on you or you shoot someone first, disappear for 3 secs and pop back out to shoot again?

I’ll keep playing with it so far it seems kinda useless, I’ll find something to use it for tho I’m sure

People need to stop complaining about a change they haven’t even tried yet. I think it’s an exciting one and look forward to trying it tonight. It’s nice to see the devs trying to give us some change. If the 10 stack of vul was so awesome why were so many rangers complaining about their class? it’s always going to be something so…embrace change and enjoy it sheesh. Next month it will be OMG why did they take stealth away lol

Long Bow is great! The only problem is that going LB/SB isn’t viable at all. You have to go with a melee weapon or you’re kitten. I just go extra range on LB and go GS. Personally I think they should just get rid of SB and increase speed and dps on LB, hell warriors already have SB and does more DPS why would a skilled bowman do less dps? lol

When I play my warrior in WvW I last a long time but don’t get that many bags and I’m more support then anything else, I can’t really kill anyone unless you spec as a glass tank but that doesn’t help out your zerg at all. Ranger I get a baziiiilion bags! mmmmmm

The game runs smooth in PvE, I notice in WvW when big zergs are around my fps drops which is to be expected but I also notice that the graphics have like a jitter effect, like really super fast stutters. I don’t even have to see the large groups as soon as my video does this I know they are close by. Anyone else notice that with their graphic? For me it’s playable but sort of annoying lol

There’s 2 settings which will help in WvW, turn off reflections and shadows. That will help out a ton.

The unlimited gathering tools account bound not soul bound, I don’t see the point in making them soul bound, in fact people will more likely buy them if they are account bound. I doubt anyone will pay for them all for each of their alts. Seems like a waste of money to me.

would increasing ram from 6 gigs 1333 to 16 gigs 1600 help at all? or would the difference be hardly noticeable?

For gaming you won’t notice much if any difference between 1600 and 1866, and as for a better deal in 2-4 months…there’s always a better deal in 2-4 months just like HD TV’s technology keeps moving forward so… but yeah prices will go down in that time.

Doesn’t seem to work, I’ve only seen it go off once, does it break on damage? maybe I just keep missing it lol this trait would be better if it worked, removed conditions and casted regen.

Yeah Belellagh seems pretty good remember you’re on a budget, also that CPU uses a FM2 socket so you’ll have an Fm2 board, there are no high end processors for FM2 that I know of,, then again I’m an itel guy. Just letting you know if you ned to upgrade the cpu you might have to get a new board.

Your best bet is to go to somewhere like Tiger Direct..

Or NCIX or something like that. You can go to their site and see their prebuilt machines, most of these site allow you to customize and the prices are cheaper the say best buy. Then go check out the benchmarks on how they perform like CPU and GPU and whatever. Then build your PC on their site, if it’s in your budget go for it, if not. grab the pieces from craigs list. You’ll have to do some research I can’t tell you what to buy.

Seriously you shouldn’t build a PC around Guild wars 2, most of the issues are server side. I have a GTX 770 and roaming around I can get up to 154fps with everything on max, average is around 100, 70 in busy places like LA. In WvW I average 60fps, average fights around 30-50 big zergs it will drop to 18 so you see even a $400 vid card doesn’t help. As for RAM 1333 and 1600 there is no performance difference. SSD is nice for load times but that’s all. (FYI even on SSD there’s still a 5 second wait lol)

The biggest thing to look out for is the motherboard make sure the chipset is up to date and upgradable you don’t want to be stuck with a board that doesn’t support newer cpu’s and such.

Have you tried repairing the client or re-installing the client completely? Also on wind 7 try right clicking on the EXE file and select run as admin see if that helps

So I picked up the GTX 770 and my fps went from max 90 to max 154 which is pretty sweet. On average it’s around 80 in busy areas. WVW I’m at around 60, big zerg fights still drops down to around 18 which is an improvement. I do have an I7 950 you would think this would be enough lol Win 7, 64 8 gig ram 1600 DDR3, game is on an SSD. I’m not upgrading anymore to get this stupid game to work in pvp. It’s turning into a high end machine.

A GTX760 help? In regular areas I get around 60-90fps with everything on max. In huge zergs in WVW it will drop down to 12 sometimes below 10. I know a better card = better fps but with the zerg situation is this server side or client side issue? I know the spell casting delay is server side for sure.

Yeah good stuff guys! there are similar skills as warrior as well with leaping at enemies or just using it to run around or away. So melee should be easy to pick up, I was just hoping to avoid melee weapons haha wishful thinking I guess

Okay so on my ele I can get out of situations quick, my warrior I can fight till help arrives, what do rangers do? if someone gets within melee range I’m pretty much toast Is that how it’s suppose to be? I can knock them back, maybe get a block off, I could probably do a knock back and drop a trap but requiring other utilities traps is rarely available. Just curious what tricks you use. I’m a bit of a newb at Ranger fun class to play.

They spawn every 5 minutes and in the same location, it’s not hard to hang out between two spawn points and bounce back between the two. If I see one pop and no one is around I’ll use it. I’m not going to wait for people, if I see others running for it then I will. If you really suck at it then just camp one, or find a location people don’t hang out it. They are everywhere! Go explore

I’ve opened over 300 chests and haven’t gotten anything but candy, fireworks and food items, just the way it goes I guess. Then again the event skins are kinda meh..no glowies or anything cool except for the torch that breaths fire, the shield skin is nice but not enough to go crazy about. In fact I think the majority of skins in this game is pretty lack luster lol

The wings are on TP on my server for 27 gold lol I bought some yesterday when it went down to 40, then bumped up to 64 gold and I sold them making a nice little profit.

Warriors are great in WvW, solo we’re pretty terrible. Playing Warhammer and Ls/warhorn or LS/Shield I do exactly what I expect my class and build to do. Meat shield, take lots of damages, heal with shouts and have tons of toughness and Vit. While they beat on me my team finishes them off.

Sure Hammer has lots of knockdowns and stuns but if you want to last you sacrifice DPS. if you want DSP go GS or Dual Axe with LS/Warhorn or a ranged. You’ll still need support tho.

Most people who attack me end up getting borded since they can’t take me down and I can’t kill them and we go our separate ways lol. Once I got jumped by 3-4 guys and held them off till other passer byes showed up that was fun.

Just play what class you enjoy

Okay sure they fixed culling now I can see everyone but can’t cast anything lol and the 4 game crashes to desktop was lots of fun as well. So I guess we just run around with the zerg and hope some of their spells cast more then the enemies? I hope the fix this. Maybe they can’t get both to work. Personally I prefer to see less and at least be able to fight.

Quickness was one of the things I loved about my Ranger since the DPS is so sub par. Looks like he is being put back on the shelf. Thanks for the NERF :P

How come there’s no recipes for cookies or eggnog or gingerbread men. There’s no new cooking goodies for xmas! What’s up with that? Food is a HUGE part of xmas!

I thought it was fun!! Easier then the clocktower. I was surprised they did another race against the clock thing again, not a huge fan of that. I think a lot of people got tons of practice with clocktower which made this one easier to do.

Warriors are easy to play. I have an 80 warrior and an 80 ele, if you think Warrior is hard try elemental. You are constantly rotating through 4 sets of spells. THink of it as swapping out 4 different weapons in every fight and timing it so you can stack might and such. It’s a pain in the kitten. Especially finding you haven’t killed anyone because your dps blows. Or you can just bull charge, blades and kill someone lol if they run just finish them off with your rifle. Does that sound hard to you?

It’s all about burst especially for PvP You may be able to do more damage over 20 seconds but Warrior gun will do more dps in burst fire. For example you have an ele at half health and starts to run off. A ranger can shot and keep shooting and still keep shooting or a warrior and take a couple shots and finish him off, if the ele doesn’t die then prob gets away where a ranger will still be shooting at him till he dies or gives up chasing.

I play less because my guild is slowly dying and less and less are logging on. Also I can’t be bothered to log in and spend an hr or two looking for a Fractal group. It’s a really bad idea to have a dungeon scale so much. I’m at level 4 and I saw people looking for a level 47 group! Good luck trying to find someone on your exact level. Plus it’s the only way to get new gear which is even dumber. There’s a whole new zone why can’t you get it there? WvWvW is okay but when you play the same two servers every week it gets pretty lame lol

Have you seen the light armor skin in the store? Looks like it was designed by a 5 year old, whoever designed that should be fired.

The distance to see objects seems short to me. Usually in games you can change the distance objects appear. Drives me nuts running around things sloooowly appearing like I need bifocals or something. It also sucked for the event and happens in RvR you don’t see any groups or mobs till they are practically on top of you. Can’t be my card I have a GTX 560 and an I7 comp. Only thing I don’t have is an SSD drive but that would only help with load times between zones and stuff I think.

The need to fix rendering, I’m tired of running along and some things appear and some don’t. During the event half the time you couldn’t see any mobs until they were on top of you. This happens in RvR as well large groups won’t show up half the time.

Fun if you got a precurser, grind if you didn’t

Yep I have 2 level 80’s did all the events and quests, and end up with a level 76 or 78 exotic not in game so have to check. Pretty lame it’s worth 1 gold lol

I don’t see where people think you got min of 30gold worth of stuff. I checked the sword and dagger I got and it’s worth 4 total. The sword is a level 76 exotic? what’s up with that? I was a bit annoyed even some people in my guild got precursers that go for 300. I don’t think they should have been included in the loot table tbh. The scale between 5 gold and 300 is a bit much to swallow.

Am I right? The best gear is the medium armor. Looks cool. Heavy is okay nothing very exciting. Then you look at the light armor and think OMG did some 11 year old design that? It looks like a really bad superhero costume someone made for halloween. It’s soooooooooooo bad. No one is ever going to spend money on that. Anet can we get someone to actually design something cool? Or maybe allow us to choose any of the skins. Thanks

I like the Dynamic events I think it’s a great idea and dropping your level according to zone is cool as well. The problem is once you hit 80 people want 80 gear and mats. Sure going back to a level 10 zone to do dynamics may be fun but why would an 80 want to fill his bags with a bunch of low level junk. They need to make an incentive to bring players back to various zones. I mean the world is huge!! Maybe create a daily hot zone or something, or suprise events in a specific zone every 6hrs or so for a couple hrs and all dynamic events give you tokens to buy gear or something like that.

I had a lot of fun, the clock tower was hard but I beat it. The mini games were fun so was the instance, my only gripe would be it seems everyone I grouped with got a lot of exotics I got one the whole time but what can you do it’s random percentages. I’m looking forward to the next event. Keep up the good work!

Whats the point of the achievment? You get a title but people can’t see it so… I got the achievment and nothing exciting happened lol

I’m an 80 warrior and I’m not sure if you realize this or not but a hundred blades breaks if the warrior moves. He has to stand still, just get out of the way or interupt it.

I have a machine similar to yours. I get about the same FPS this is to be expected in large battles and to be honest over 20 is fine by me. If you’re getting under 10 then it’s getting bad, anything under 5 is pretty much unplayable. 20-25 is fine I don’t notice any video lag.

You should see large battles in Tera it’s like a slide show now that’s bad lol

As the subject states. It’s not video lag since I’m getting 68FPS it’s network lag for sure. It shows available skills in your action bar but they don’t work. You have to keep hitting them. It’s almost as if the icon refresh before the action skill is actually available. Or you hit it and the icon show it initiating for like 5 seconds.
