Summer is comming ( ok the season doesn’t really matter but lyrical intro/game of thrones word play is not a bad way to start anything in writing :P) and recruitment in Executed is open again.

*What is Executed? *

Executed is a PvX guild (with a slight tilt towards the WvWvW) from the Piken Square EU server. We are an international guild that can be well suited for ppl that do not consider themselves casual players but are not hardcore either. We use Teamspeak 3 for communication (having it is a must) and have a TS server of our own, although when needed in WvWvW situation we do not mind using the Piken Square Teamspeak for coordination. We have players that have different priorities in the game but we all join in for our WvWvW evenings and we usually have a lot of fun (and lootbags ). We believe that good coordination of both actions and specs can yield great results and prove it on regular basis.

What are we looking for in prospective members?

We are looking for 18+ players that can play at least 3-4 days (preferably evenings) a week that enjoy working together and do not get offended by the occasional burst of late-night humor attempts (emphasis on attempts ).

Our main focus is on WvWvW, but we do occasional guild mission and other events.
We would like prospective members to have in mind that we want them to represent us at all times (with some common sense exceptions of course – ex: bank guilds, switching guild to talk to a friend and other similar cases) especially when doing WvWvW.

Sounds disturbing – how can one join the guild in order to observe you for one’s psychology thesis ?

i am on my server main atm and noone is getting loot no matter if they did it first time for the day or not

Noone in the server i am in is getting any loot. This is a bit stupid – fix this bug. So many bugs in this patch – disappointed here.

It seems i cannot filter by guild in the leaderboards (i am trying by achievement points).

I keep getting either the default search results (from 1 to so on) or gives me “Internal Server Error”.

Plz fix this feature as it is very very useful.

did blazeridge again – no contribution again …

overflow works for me with the exception of blazerige. For me it seems blazeridge is teh problem. Can any dev help us here?
so far i’ve done 3 invasions

Harathi on overflow – from wave 1 – took part in killing Scarlet – Counted
Blazeridge on overflow – from wave 1 – took part in killing Scarlet – NOT Counted
Dredgehound on server map – from wave 1 – took part in killing Scarlet – Counted

In all of those i got reward for completion on event.

Can plz more ppl post their info so hopefully devs can fix this, its very time consuming bug and needs to be addressed asap

seems blazeridge might be the problem.

I did the invasion event in 2 zones yesterday – harathi hinterlands and blazeridge steppes, with both times participating through all the stages including killing Scarlet and getting the rewards for doing so. Why i check the living story progress bar about stopping invasions in different zones its says 1 out 7 and 1 out of 13 respectively. Any reason for that ?

Well in all fairness you do have some guild raids in EB, unless you do not call 15-20 ppl from the same guild a guild raid. Both SFR and Elona are lead by commanders each time we fought (SFR usually has bigger numbers grouped around a commander and a bit better movement). So the excuse “they are all pugs” is not really valid here. Anyway some good fights for us .

Some interesting stuff on EB last night. Interesting enough after a point both SFR and elona began making silly mistakes. Your organized raids ending around 9 PM UK time or what? After around that time it was pretty much a loot-bag fest for us (i got almost an entire stack of support tokens), and not because we were far superior in numbers or tactics but because your blobs in EB were acting the-opposite-of-smart.

What’s with abadon and dredge tunnels ? You’ve been sneaking in them the whole last evening in EB. Took you 2,5 hours to figure out you can actually build trebs in SM. And plz someone tell me there was an idea behind running with 40-50 ppl into a dead-end tunnel.

scaling seems a bit broken indeed, not to mention t4. 1 veteran striker can shut down the whole party in literally seconds.

I wouldn’t mind the fight but the Foes are NOT resetting properly during fight!. They jsut stop int eh middle of the field and don’t move.

you do realize that no matter how we vote it will be devs who decide how this election ends right (eerie things isn’t it ) ? the amount of votes one puts is just so you can get the badges to do the live story related to the event.

Witch SHOCK i just noticed we have NO potion of TROLL slaying in GW2. At least give us one for comedic effect!

Very nice evening yesterday for EXE and GG raid. Kodash has scouts everywhere, very hard to surprise them, although you need to learn a bit about how to set a proper ambush. As for deso – when you run in lord a room make sure the AC’s inside the tower are down

Hope there is an update soon. Can at least a dev confirm/deny their position on the current math behind the fight. Is he supposed to heal twice as much as he takes dmg from drinking and at the same time for us the opposite to be valid ?

from what i can see the main problem with me is that while i a, taking 2k dmg from drinking and healing for 1k he takes 1k dmg and heals himself for 2k.

Someone messed up in a really noobish want in the coding.

Isn’t a drink supposed to take 10% health and a jug heal me for 20%?

The activation timer needs to be lowered. Except that i love the changes to sword. Dusting off my Bolt for its main hand spot for PvE and smaller scale WvWvW.

Only problem i have now is that i have 3 specs now – 1 for PvE (Sword + axe), 1 for small scale PvP and WvWvW (sword + shield) and one for guild WvWvW (hammer)

Is it me or “Empower Allies” still grants 70 power?
According to patch notes it should grant 150.

i deleted my box and cannot get inside the instance to get a new one now … Any ideas ?

I don’t see any interest to do this.

Most of the guilds do not mind ppl’s rl obligations… If you need to hide your activity from the guild leader so you avoid getting kicked – i suggest you look for another guild.

Every MMO i’ve ever playe has had this feature and it helped. Different guilds have their own requirements. This feature will help the guilds that are interested in active members and do nothing for the others. I really don’t see a downside.

My guild maintains its roster by looking when they least earned an achievement. Go to the leaderboards, log in, go to achievement learboards, sort by guild , and hover over their achievement points. It will list the last time they earned one.

Not earning an achievement in this game is a hard thing to do, you have to be doing absolutely nothing.

This is a very good band-aid, will use it – tnx for info, actually this makes it even more odd that it is not ingame since it is clearly available if one check’s the leaderboards.

In Lineage 1 & 2 there were dedicated Russian guilds and dedicated Russian alliances. While all the rest of the guilds had mixed players from all countries. If I wanted to make a party with Russian players they would only speak Russian. When I asked them nicely to speak in English so we can have a good time, they went: Xaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxa. But it’s no laughing matter. Because that always left a bitter taste.

So it’s not the insults I worry about. But creating tick boundaries between nationalities. This will be my last post in this thread. Good luck!

The difference is to small to matter for me personally. I cannot understand the urge for secrecy you show.

If you want to represent another guild – just leave the one you don’t want to represent and they will not be able to see when you were last online…

There shouldn’t be anything wrong to write in cyrillic if one’s language uses it. There are many guilds that are country-based and while most of them are from countries that use latin alphabet as primary there are some that are from countries where cyrillic alphabet is the primary one (Yes its not only Russia).

Actually it’s your virtual life… I never expected someone to take this suggestion so seriously…

I am asking about this feature because activity is almost impossible to track atm and such info is needed for guild leaders and officers.

I know it has been mentioned quite a lot since launch but i was wondering if there is some progress on that.

I mean a column lets say in guild roster where it can be seen when is the last time a player has logged ingame.

Spread it out a little more so theres ~40-50 rating between each server on average. i think thats about right for the system as it is. the current amount of 60-70 is too much and starts having problems w/ isolating tiers from each other.

A 50k gap on reset is in the initial proposal although on observation of the results anywhere from 30k to 50k will shake the things the first few weeks.

Resetting the points every X weeks is not a solution: it’s a workaround. We don’t ask for a workaround: we want a solution.

For me its a good workaround until they find a solution. Although i find that the current system is prety good withe the exception of the flaw i mentioned. Football championships restart every year – we don’t call this a workaround we call this a football season.

Atm we are having same fights week after week. Basically the servers have settled into a monotonous routine – this above all is the problem. I think something is needed to shake things up a bit.

I would like to address a flaw in the scoring system witch is a result of:

- The amount of rating that exchanges hands between the servers of a Tier at the end of a matchup is equal to 0. If 2 teams loose 2000 rating the 3rd team will win 4000 rating.
- Total amount of rating is a constant (40 500 000 for EU in example).
- Server rating win at the end of a matchup is dependent of the rating of the other 2 servers in the same Tier.

This produces the following effect:

- It is becoming increasingly difficult for a T2 server to get to T1 (check T1 and T2 US – 150k differnce between 3rd server in T1 and 1st server in T2)
- It is becoming increasingly difficult for a T8(T9 EU) server to climb up (check T9 EU – Blacktide is winning by a HUGE margin and yet they will lose more rating this week)
- Middle tiers also suffer from the same matchups over numerous weeks due to this stalling effect.

This lack of change in the competition leads to a degree of boredom because we are facing same opponents over and over again. Stronger servers loosing ppl due to lack of better opposition, weaker servers loosing ppl due to low morale.

My suggestion – a Ratings Reset in the Following Format:

All EU T1 servers gets their rating reset to 1 700 000
All EU T2 servers gets their rating reset to 1 650 000
All EU T3 servers gets their rating reset to 1 600 000
All EU T4 servers gets their rating reset to 1 550 000
All EU T5 servers gets their rating reset to 1 500 000
All EU T6 servers gets their rating reset to 1 450 000
All EU T7 servers gets their rating reset to 1 400 000
All EU T8 servers gets their rating reset to 1 350 000
All EU T9 servers gets their rating reset to 1 300 000

Sum of all ratings will again be 40 500 000. Same thing can be done for US server. If you want to keep sum of all ratings 40 500 000 start from 1850 and again go down in 50k steps.

For both EU and US a 30k reset step might be a good option too.
