Not sure were to write but i’ll try it here – for a week on my server when i do my ori rounds i notice a set of 4 bots farming in frostgorge on the same spot, i’ve been reporting them for a week now and they are still there. Not only they are botting but hacking too – they teleport all over the place. Any idea how long does it take for someone to check that – i can give exact time, place and server – those bots are like clockwork.

Such an agreement will help help sellers but not buyers. In other words – help the richer. In real life cartels and price fixing in most occasions are prosecuted by the law.

Chasing down the enemy is not an objective of WvW. Holding a supply camp, escorting dolyaks, taking keeps and towers are all objectives of WvW.
Too many times have I seen strategic gameplay fail because half the Zerg wants to go chase down the thief that his attacking them. People with bloodlust (not the Sigil) need to play a different game type.

I placed it here because in late night wvwvw there are usually not many ppl around and thiefs can annoy to death literaly all non heavy armor classes while on the way to do it. 1 thief can kill 2-3 ppl group without any trouble with his perma steath.
Why don’t you guys reroll as Thieves and learn how ridiculous you’re being. Yeah, thieves are pretty solid at escaping, but now that most classes have 25% movement signets too we’re far from the “most mobile” anymore (since we have fewer options for true Swiftness), and we die pretty fast if we try to actually engage the enemy. Also, since most practical combat is done at the 1200+ range, and Thieves have VERY few attacks that can reach that range, none of them very well, we have a lot of annoyance in most WvW abilities.
Basically, if a Thief doesn’t bother you, don’t bother him. Chances are he can get away from you, and if you’re in water, it’s completely hopeless, but while you can’t really bother him, he can’t really bother you either, so live and let live.
thief can escape pretty much any class, if you don’t know how – consult 50 to 70% of thiefs out there. thief can stealth and get faaaaaaaaaaaaar closer than 1200 ft – permastelath again. As for water – as soon as you tell me how to pick up a supply camp from the water i will try it. Other than that any group for less than 4 ppl that does not have a tanky warrior or a guardian is screwed against even 1 thief. I will not even comment what happens when you get 2 or 3 thieft tag teaming.
The siliness is ridiculous. Unkillable – cannot kill me either bu rudiculously silly. i am not spending another 15 minutes playing cat and mouse late night. No more late night wvwvw for me, and not jsut for me…

What I can suggest is teamspeak, and ash legion spy kits.
If I understand correctly, you supposed to be able beat challenges with tools that the game provides you. It doesn’t have VOIP function, so you must be able to run third path using only text chat.
So, it must be balance issue.
one can organize even without VOIP. It just a matter of how well can you coordinate with your teammates. And plz the argument i will not use VOIP because it is not an ingame tool is a not a strong one.

Sporadically today, and especially tonight, no one in our group could get an LA overflow so we could ‘get together’ to enter Fractals.
Workaround:
If you are from EU – get someone on a NA overflow to inv you (pm the first person you see in the NA gw2lfg section) and you got an overflow. Works the other way around as well. Giving the option to force oneself into an overflow might be a good idea although that will require additional system resources (more servers will be on at any given time), although this could actually be a great idea for interserver PvE
And again I dont want to use any other tools that the game includes.
Teamspeak, Ventrilo, Mumble and other VOIP are not ingame. Are you saying that you are not using ANY of those for voice communication ?

Ok the alt+tab arguement i can give a “valid” label. Although i never play in fulscreen mode and thus it is not a problem for me. I agree though that for other ppl this can be a legit pain.

Are you really trying to compare joining a group in-game to afk auto-farming? are you that dense?
They already have a tool in game for individuals to auto-join pvp instances, it should be made for dungeon instances as well.
As for all the other games you mentioned, try GW1, it was built in, as this should be.
not joining a group, but more the desire of some ppl to make things ridiculously easy, that is what i am criticizing. I am not saying that there shouldn’t be ever such a system, i am saying that there should be other priorities considering there is a working alternative. If this alternative is proven to be bad,buggy or harming then this should pop up on the immediate agenda.
Why anathemize player created tools? Finding or creating additional tools to give one the edge will always be a characteristic of free thinking individuals. gw2lfg.com is just another tool in the array. And if it works fine why wasting developoer’s time on mirroring its role when this time can be used to add new content, fix buggs or class balance ?

Its was said NUMEROUS times in this thread that such a system will not be implemented ingame. One of the simpliest reasons is that it will require more resources and more PPL to moderate it.
Second of all implementing such a system cannot be done in a month without propper testing. Wintersday is a priority now and it should be. Finding a group for dungeons IS NOT a job on the game creators its a job for the players.
What’s next ? and auto farm tool to farm ori nodes while one is afk ?

As for 3rd party systems – WoW, Warhammer online Age of reckoning and lots of other MMO’s use add-ons. I find nothing wrong with that as long as they do not contain something that can harm an user.
Player driven inovations will ALWAYS be one step ahead of the developer’s ideas. And there is nothing wrong with that.
The website works with very good results for me, Look at it as a forum. No more, no less.
The problems of the rich ppl are not relevant in this economic crysis!
P.S. technically the effects of both weapons should both work with the exception of the footsteps you leave – no idea how this will work out
putting 4 exotic rifles lvl 70-80 will grant you an exotic rifle with a chance of it being the precursor.
If you put 4 lvl 70-80 rares there is also a chance to get an exotic(maybe even the precursor). Probabilities are low and suposedly using exotics give you better chance (not confirmed).
This place is only 1 and it is referred to as the cypress forest – 6 trees cypress trees on the same spot., although there are plenty more around.
@Pig.5827 you are forgetting Jeweler that also requires ore.
i got a corrupted core the other day. All lodestones got their drop increased, mainly due to them dropping more in the fractals.
Aren’t legendaries character bound – or they are account bound ?
Aren’t there only 2 gift of the traveler per person ?
I’ve received 5 cores in the fractals for 4 days. 2 charged cores, 2 destroyer cores and 1 onyx. That’s where the increase is coming from (cannot give information about other dungeons). Price of charged lodestones have dropped from 2.5G to 1.8g already.
And again – the chest was CHARACTER bound. So ppl that bothered to lvl a 2nd char to lvl 80 got the extra loot. I find nothing wrong with that.
NO exploit – ppl that went to other overflows did NOT get to open 2nd chest. This was ONLY available with 2nd character on a different overflow. So no real exploit here.

My arguement was against “most of the playerbase”. Most of the player base is EU and US times – making the event in the 8-11 PM Sunday EU time and midday Sunday US time. So unless you work Sundays its ok time wise. And claiming that most of the player base works on sundays(in the US) is stupid to say the least. Not the mention the original poster did not even think of the EU players for witch this time is probably the best.
OP is apparently angry that he did not take part but claiming he is part of the majority is a terribly weak argument. MOST of the playerbase do NOT work sundays. And MOST of the playerbase get back at home early on Sunday evenings due to Monday being work/school day for MOST of the playerbase.
you all seem to forget that we have a very god new source for bloods – the new map. Drop rate is good there so supply will rise.
I have to say i am quite impressed of how smart A-net addressed the market problems:
- Add new recipes for back items that increase demand for T6 rares and ectos
+ Increase supply for bloods from the new map
+ increase supply of rares via the all dungeons aka increase the supply of ectos
+ increase the drop rates of cores and lodestones
End result will probably be:
- Price of T6 bloods will fluctuate a lot, T5 bloods will get la bit lower.
- Lodestone will drop – a good thing considering they are the main ingredients in all craftable runes (in legendaries tooof course).
I have to say i give them an A- for the balancing of the market.
Fractals:
Great idea overal, i enjoyed them a lot and will keep enjoying them but:
- a merchant somewhere inside the fractals + and anvil might be a good idea. Maybe at the start of each fractal for a limited time or permanent inside each fractal, i don’t mind either option.
- You outdid the Ancient karka “kill reinforcement” phases – 2×30 minutes of grindkilling got boring fast.
The biggest problem still is performance – Friday event was completely unplayable and Sunday was a tad laggy at points although noticeably better than Friday.
On overal i’d value this weekend’s event with a B+. Server performance is still an issue to be dealt with and the boredom of the “kill reinforcements” phase was something unexpected for your level of designer’s.

Nope. 5 in malchor’s and 5 in Cursed. You just have to find them. Some times they are well hidden. or inaccessible at all (once there was an ori node inside a mountain in malchor’s – clearly visible on the map)
P.S. don’t forget there are 2 more ori nodes in Frostgorge.

from personal experience chance for ectos for me is around 0.9 ecto per weapon with lvl 71-80 rare weapons out of maybe 50 attempts.
I believe that pendant should get ascended status. Just elevate it to the new rarity category.
My main problem with spike in lodestone prices is NOT related to legendaries!
My main concern is that it will make rune and sigil prices go up witch in turn will force a lot of ppl that do not care for lendaries but need runes sets to be forced to look into farming. Something that in my book is wrong.
Not everyone cares about having a legendary but most ppl care about having a good set of runes. And some of the best sets are only craftable.
Whatever the odds of getting the precursor weapons from the new way will be it should be accompanied with an equal increase in the lodestones drop rate.
After all i seriously doubt the dev’s idea is to make lodestones too expensive as it will encourage even more farming – something the devs said they are against after all.
P.S. lodestones are use for runes too meaning any shortage in supply will make some runes too expensive.
IF you gonna add alternative ways to get precursor – Increase drop rate of lodestones otherwise their price will skyrocket. How much – depends on how easy will that scavenger hunt be, But plz do NOT allow lodestones to skyrocket outside bounderies.
Also – balance the lodestones a bit. Atm charged lodestones are overused, while in comparison glacial and molten have only 1-2 useful applications.
actually hammer is great in PvE in situations when you got a lot of mobs at the same time. Put a flame sigil in it and you got your warrior’s main melee AoE dmg weapon.
you just need to interact with them to reset the timer.

i have 1 problem – I play asura and I CANNOT SEE MYSELF when there are norn chars in there. Moving jumping puzzles -nice. Doing it with many ppl – bad idea!
Camera is a big shifty at times, but i will let that slide…
sometimes when you use vengeance and kill a mob/player the vengeance dissapears and you stay alive. I have not been able to reproduce this buggy feature of “vengeance” reliably though. All i can say for sure is that if you kill something while under the effect of vengeance you have a chance “vanish” the effect.
I believe this bug is due to some misworking of the “sweet revenge” trait(it workign even if not specced)
There is an associated bug about “vengeance”. If you die before “vengeance” has expired and you port quickly there is a chance you will die again after you get resurected at a waypoint.
i actually start to believe the ppl that say that the door was locked on purpose by arenanet. ANd i am starting to get highly disappointed by the chickenly way they avoid to say anything about it

I am not saying Sword burst is bad i am saying all other bursts are better. The idea of staying 4s still in PvP does not please me, neither does the fact that there are 10 different ways to interupt it (not to mention that it stops on the slightest touch of the move keys).
The mace knockdown has limited use in PvP because it is slow to reach target and requires time to cast.
i want the ears not to show. My problem is that there are only few helms without the ears showing that are good looking.
I use sword + axe for 1st weapon sent and for 2nd longbow or rifle (changing them depending on the situation). Whirling axe has its benefits and its drawbacks. I personally am NOT a fan of GS. I prefer sword + axe for several reasons., although it has its drawbacks.
Pros:
- I like leap ability – gives the extra mobility for closing a gasp(although it misses a lot)
- cripple is nice if i manage to put it on.
- activating signet of rage and going melee on some poor soul usually means his certain death, especially if rune of rage activates.
- whirling axe is a very good combo finisher especially with light or frozen field.
Cons:
- leap is unreliable in its dmg part (lots of times it misses or overshoots target)
- 4th abillitity of axe is not that useful ( no cc )
- sword burst skill is probably the least useful of all burst skills – this kind of forces me to not use it and instead to use traits that increase dmg/crit/health regen with high adrenaline lvl and basically stay on adrenaline 3 (exception is longbow burst skill during sieges).
Sword + axe is exceptionally good for hunting down fleeing enemies or participating in hit and run squads. a Sword + axe warrior is like an angry hound – gets to the target first and criples it (rifle is very useful for that role as 2nd).
I am looking for a plausable warrior build that has AoE but wihtout axe offhand. I’ve tried yesterday a build with sword main, mace off hand for its 5th used as the AoE. I have to say the dmg is descent, getting ppl with it is not that easy as i thought though. Has anyone been trying this weapon combination? I am thinking of using shackles to catch ppl so i can use the knockdown on them. Any thoughts

witch other server ? – you are paired with our server (gunnar’s hold) and Aurora Glade. I can confirm that until this morning we from gunnar’s hold could NOT open the vault on any home borderland. I tried in your borderland just after the patch and it was unlockable.
Would the 33% vulnerability trait help keep enemies from removing bleed stacks through condition removal?
it does – plus the bleeds do more dmg.
i still use axe as offhand though – the wirl is the only descent melee AoE warrior have. And in large combats AoE is needed. I see a lot of ppl badmouthing Axe offhand. And i don’t understand why the hatred.
