Guild Wars 2

With the new expansion, ive seen WP videos and all the skills look super amazing and flashy.. Can we have our core visuals back? like ele fire ring, mesmer wells etc back to how they used to be? or does anet plan to nerf the new skills when the expansion hits?

so dramatic and over sensetive for a fake fish. dont like it than dont buy it. simple right? i like the fish so i bought it and i wouldnt want the animation gone.

Is ele ever going to get their Fire ring (dagger skill) back to how it used to look? Or the mesmer staff skill (5) ? And so forth? Or is anet just ignoring that? I have a highly upgraded computer and it sucks how the skills are tuned down and there isnt an option for me to get them back how they used to look.

hello! sorry if this isn’t in the right place but I wasn’t sure where to put this. anyway, I got this new laptop and I just downloaded some games on it. the issue I’m having is that my keys don’t work. I can sometimes move left, right, jump. etc but it lags to respond. I tried using a wireless keyboard to see if it would solve anything but it still does the same thing. for most of my games it seems to be doing it too. please help ):

Yeah i would love more armor. Having only a few armor because it takes too much work is a sorry excuse not to make them.

How about you just move on? Are you really going to ban someone for this? Lol. How do you deal with life if you cant even deal with something so small and not even life changing or threating. Theres more important issues to worry about. Did you know you can lower your mouse to click on the Vista? Might take a while but it takes effort. Unless you’re too lazy and used to just doing a simple click. I doubt anyone does it on purpose. And if they do so what? Move on. Geez.

Hi name is isaac. So ive been playing since day one and i main ele (i have every class as well and am familiar with them) and i would love to be part of a raiding guild. Ive never raiding in my life in any game and if i was to join a raiding guild i would want one that is friendly and respectful and that wouldbe willing to give me their time by teaching me the ropes. Please consider me because i really want to raid but its so hard to find any guild that is willing to take in a “noob” or someone who doesnt have full ascended. Not sure if a bug but all of my ground targeting skills still show whether i click on the box or not in the options menu. Please fix. Thanks.

never done raiding and would love to start doing so. Looking for a NA guild that will take the time to show me the ropes. i dont have much ascend armor so i hope i can still get accepted and offered help. thanks

Disabling AoE rings on the option menu still shows the AoE circles. Hope this is a bug because i really dont get the point in having the option if its still gonna show AoE circles around some certain skills. Like Lava Font from ele or Frozen ground etc…

how long till we get our cool visual skills back? such as ring of fire for ele dagger skill. it looks lame now ._.

very disappointed.. the flashy skills is one of the reasons why i love/loved gws2. now its like we are going back to gws1.

Looking for a guild that does it all. A guild that does PvE and raids are what i’m mostly looking for but i do a bit of everything else. I have 16 characters and out of all 16 i only have 2 classes that are below 80 that I’m working on. I’m rank 80 in PvP (dragon), i have played since launch so i’m a bit of experienced on a bit of everything (bosses, dungeons etc), but i am a noob when it comes to raids. So if there is a guild out there that would be willing to train me that would be great. Also, a guild that doesn’t req 100 rep all the time. Other than that i ain’t looking for a mean spirited group and looking for one that is friendly and welcoming. Unsure how to start this so please bare with me. First off, i love this game and i am only stating my opinion. One thing that i really dislike about this game is the armor. Guild Wars had better armor in my opinion compare to what we have now. For starters, we, light armor, have no actual pants for female and only one for male. Medium has too many trench coats and does have pants but no nice and casual tops to go with it. As for heavy armor, its just too bunky for my taste. To make things easier, here are a few pictures from Guild Wars armors that i would like to see in game. Even though the pictures shown do not have any actual pants, i still think they actually look good regardless.

So this is just my suggestion and i think it would be a nice addition for those who have the permanent hair style kit (like me) or for those who just want to change their toons face and nothing else.

we have a hairstyle kit and full body kit in the gem store. but why not a face kit where we can just change our face (and maybe eye color) ? either way i think anet should make something like this. make the face kit the same price as the self style hairkit so those who just want to change their face aren’t obligated to buy the full body one

back when they gave us access to drytop there was a ‘bug’ that would allow other players to fight one another in that certain zone and some people were QQ about it on the forums.

but then again , theres always black desert :p

1, 2 & 3 i agree with but dunno about the others. Mines would be :

1) Harvesting tools skin on wardrobe.

2) Gem store item skins should be trans free! Only items from in game should require them.

3) Visual Noise to be brought as an option to have ( i want my fireballs back ! ) and those who like the current visuals can keep it that way with the checked box

looking for a guild that does raids on sat/sun and is willing to teach me what to do and not to do. basically, a guild with patience. im willing to join a raid guild as long as i dont have to rep 100% and only on the days that the guild does raids.

i have every single class to 80 and full geared. my main (ele zerk) has partial ascend. everyone else is pretty much with exotic armor but have ascend accessorys and trinkets

hey all (: so the pc i have is an alienware and my parents bought it for my as a high school graduation gift. i have no idea what my specs are or how to find out what they are so is there anyway i can find out? all i know is that the computer they bought me was the most expensive one from bestbuy lol. from what ive seen my computer runs pretty much any/all games i have on max. examples are dreamfall chapters, guildwars2, ESO, sims 4 etc. the reason why i want to know the specs is because i want to see if it can handle Black Desert Online (since i want to pre-order). anyway, thanks in advance for the help (:

I agree. It’s embarrassing. There should be an option to tone down skill animations when there are a lot of characters on-screen.

The way they’re currently going about it makes no sense whatsoever. Are they truly on so much of a time crunch that they can no longer afford to make good decisions?

agreed. i dont see why they had to nerf the graphic visual of fireball. making it an option to turn down the visuals of skills would be a better way to go. the one thing that made me fall in love with gws2 is the graphics (besides the gameplay and lore) and now they are literally ruining it imo.

yea im just gonna stick to dagger now. fireball should be renamed ‘Firecracker’. it looks nothing like a fireball no more

so i logged on and found out that my eles staff animation for skill 1 (fireball) looks like confetti. I understand that in big zergs you cant really see anything in fights which is why visuals from skills needed to be toned down but why not make it an option for those who dont mind the nice and fancy skills and the ones who dont want it can turn the option off. The one thing that i really loved in this game from day one was the visuals and graphics and now to see that a lot of the skills are tuned town really sucks imo ):

i am sorry for what is happening to Paris even though i have some words to say, i rather not because it will upset others. Anyway, i do agree this doesn’t belong on the forums but i don’t see why anet cant show any support for Paris when they did it for gays when marriage was legal here. they twitted ‘love wins’ with a gay couple but they cant tweet or acknowledge something for Paris? really sucks to be honest.

but when I clicked Disable AoE circles (the white lines around the AoE skills) I can still see them (for revenant) . A few of the skills that have a AoE still show the white circles. is there a reason for this or is it a bug? because the only class that it still shows up for is revenant

another bug ive found is an ap bug. apparently for the last story of Act 1 I cant seem to interact with the paper that leads to the nest. there isn’t any paper trail to follow. secondly, I cant rez any of the NPCS because there aren’t any NPCS to rez.

has anyone found the mini mushroom yet? if so where can I get it? ty

the hero point by/next to Treacherous Path waypoint is bugged for me. for some reason it doesn’t give me any credit for killing the champ. its the only hero point I need to complete VB map. its been my 4th time trying to get it but no luck. a few others are having the problem too

so can you only get it as a drop in VB or u can get it on all the new HoT maps? and do you have to do events and hope u get it at the end?

what dropped it? was it in HoT?

don’t forget that rev also only has one underwater weapon

hi I noticed that for my story in HoT , that I am not getting credit for some of the AP I do (this is my first run through HoT). I am not sure if this is a bug or if im suppose to only do the AP the second time I run the story.

dagger skill on 4 (fire) doesn’t have the same effect as before.

but is anyone else disappointed about dagger off hand (fire skill 4) and main hand dagger (fire skill 3) literally having no more flames?
