first guess : your cpu, core 0 is only running at 823Mhz (multiplier -8), should be 39 (3,4 Ghz) at heavy load.

Any idea on how to fix this at all? Im not very tech savvy

I am not entirely sure what is the cause, from what I have read it seems to be since the new patch but since my Photoshop has been playing up too with some brush delay I have reason to believe it may be a blend of both my relatively high end PC playing up and the recent patch destroying my once very decent frame rate.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this in the case of GW2. I have provided some CPU and GPU statistics alongside me playing GW2, but I’m not entirely sure in what constitutes a good number for the build, I just play video games man ^^

I kind of understand that the relationship between Kass and Marj are suppose to add breadth to their characters.

How else are they going to demonstrate their support for the LGBT movement?

But I agree, that has too much emphasis on the story line…

The thing is it actually does, we have writers that seem more obsessed about inclusion and diversity than they do actual story development. The writers do not seem capable of both.

A lot of the developers inherit a very SJW vibe. I looked up the writer for the story and found Teddy Nyugen who is trans, that’s all well and good, I don’t mind at all that someone from the trans community is able to develop video games, but when I looked further into her twitter I noticed she followed ALOT of people who are absolutely notorious for being bigoted and radically integrating their political agenda into media, Anita Sarkeesian, Brianna Wu, Srhbutts (Literally a self admitted paedophile) and pretty much every notorious SJW extremist you can find, I really don’t know if I want someone like that in charge of creating to story of a game such as this, they need a serious professional.

Can we please have nothing to do with Destiny Edge 2.0 when this expansion hits? They would serve much better as small packs of friends finding their own journey through Maguuma that we sometimes meet in-between our adventures, granted you might find the team enjoyable if you have a taste for bad dialect and story telling but most of us don’t like them.

It’s honestly a joke that to progress through the game, I have to do it with a cast of members I don’t like. Braham and Rox are stale, Kasmeer and Marjory are just shoehorned lesbians that constantly flaunt the fact that they are together in our face, tied together with the worst voice acting I have ever heard and Taimi though being really cool isn’t all that unique and special, just another disgruntled Asura. And as a character doing my story with them I can’t help but feel like a watcher of their drama with absolutely no inclusion in what they are doing.

Please don’t make them essential to the story in HoTS…

Overloading was a cool concept but needs work. But everything else was hilariously kittening sad to watch. I don’t like support because like most people, I don’t like my power being determined by how more powerful I can make everyone else which is the purpose warhorn is trying to serve.

‘Feel the Burn’ – The tempest sears their voice into the ground and causes growing flames to emit from that location.
‘Aftershock!’ – Creates a powerful earthen force around the tempest, crippling those effected. After a short delay, an aftershock immobilizes enemies
‘Eye of the storm’ – The tempest will call the storm down on nearby allies and himself, breaking stun on anyone affected while granting superspeed.
‘Freeze’ – Causes the air around enemies to cool and harden, damaging and chilling them for a period of time.

So with all the new capabilities they are able to pull off with the engine that they have been bragging about they are only able to conjure up utilities as lazily designed as this? They just seem like cliche, ’damage in area and add generic effect ’ abilities that we see all the time in our weapon skills. I feel like they really put their feet up doing these ones.

And I thought Warhorn was a let down…

Really erks me that Karl pretty visibly went out of his way to not mention scepter to address what a clunky piece of kitten it is.

Also kitten support. We’re already decent at it, why are they giving us more when our main cry for improvements is on damage… half of the garbage I see in this post looks like Im going to have to be surrounded by at least 5 other people to make full effect of it…

I remember Ranger and Elementalist were getting specific treatments for being the two somewhat lack luster proffesions in the game. I remember seeing the thread full of what was wrong with rangers and then that was it… nothing else happened. They never buffed ranger from what I heard and they never even attempted an ele CDI.

I cannot find anything on it so I’m kinda asking someone who is active on here as to what happened to the elementalist CDI changes.

I dont think ele needs a lot at this point, mainly minor stuff. If anything, Ranger needs a second CDI.

I imagine this is a totally unbiased opinion from a probable ranger (an unbiased ranger of course)

baseline defensive definitely could do with some polishing up. And a lot of cool down redcution tweaks like RtL.

The CDI changes I think will only be added around Q4 2014 and Q1 2015, an ele CDI will probably be the next one, but don’t expect any change until 2015.

Changes in classes takes a long time to develop and test, Anet always takes a very long time to make class changes.

That doesn’t make sense honestly. Why would the devs outright say they will make a certain class better if we just wait a year. That is in no way shape or form a reasonable time frame. Minimum should be at least 2 months.

I feel like the #elepocalypse they was talking about was another one of Anet’s overhyped lies to keep us quiet for a few months.

I see One decent change and that is Burning speed giving you evasion. This actual good buff barely Buffs D&D beyond mediocrity so only lord knows how bad the other weapon sets are doing. Because boy am I getting bored of getting forced to go into a stale 15 in water 30 in arcane build.

A few grand master traits won’t fix anything. And I am honestly getting sick of waiting for a CDI that will never happen.

Why are people making out that elementalists as a whole are getting buffed when I see only decent change being made is to burning speed?

Most of the time ele has regeneration up anyways so why is it that the scepter defensive buff is a mediocre source of regen?

A solution could be a recolour? Other than that I don’t see what else you could expect.

Only the legendaries that have obvious dual wielding traits like the axe, dagger, sword, pistol get the feature since there are actually reasons to make two of those.

And semi-regret building Meteorlogicus. It is my favorite legendary and to me personally one of the most detailed in the game don’t get me wrong… but when it turns night time….

Don’t get me wrong it’s good with fresh air and a bunker build but that is it.

The auto attacks suck
Dragon tooth is far too slow
Phoenix (Although receiving a speed boost not so long ago) still feels really slow especially after casting something previously like RoF

Who is to say they can’t? The comparison you made is completely out of context anyways…

If they can, why haven’t they when people have been asking since launch? How is the comparison out of context? Both are particle effects.

Who knows, but saying they cannot do something because they haven’t already is kind of silly.

Simplest answer I can give is that it just isn’t as high a priority as other things we have been working on.

Why do you feel custom arenas do not work for those that want to duel?

Because your Lead Game director said himself that its “The awkward way of doing it”.

Joining an empty server where you can probably duel someone for roughly 10 minutes until people start swarming in is not a good way for duels.

You have created this huge, beautiful world that next to no one explores anymore. Give players incentive to go out there every once in a while. You have no idea how many times me and friends have gone somewhere completely far away from any hub cities and dueled in an area for a short while purely because it’s a scenic experience and changes dueling tactics in a fun way.

Could it be possible in a future update if we can have a toggle effect on our Legendaries to turn of specific effects?

Say I have Meteorlogicus MH and and incinerator OH, and I don’t like the Meteorlogicus footfalls and prefer incinerators. I get an option to turn off the footfall effects of meteorlogicus making incinerator fill the new footfall option. Or another scenario could be me being an elementalist and having two incinerators and I don’t like the weapon effects and want my old dragon claw and vapor blade back; just tick a box and they’re back.

The tick option of course can be.
[ ] Toggle footfalls
[ ] Toggle Aura
[ ] Toggle weapon alterations

Because seriously I loved that dragon claw animation so much ;-;

Will there be any updates to legendaries? Its been almost 2 years now and It feels like you are not finished with them.

I.E. Meteorlogicus’s night time fix to not make it purple any more, I can name 5 lazy design flaws at the top of my head with the thing ( and also since roughly 8 out of 10 people do not like it) and more importantly eternity not getting the love it deserves

Eternity needs 3 things. (And one lil addition to do with the last thing)

1. Separate auras and footsteps for day and night. The current ones could obviously be for night andthe day time could have a Higher detailed blue aura with an altered version of the sunrise window for the footsteps (Or hell just move the daytime footstep window to the bottom left since you could pass that as day http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/6/67/EternityBackground.png). It looks like you’re holding sunrise with twilight effects which some people love and is just weird and breaks the consistency theme of the weapon for others. (My last thing will fix this mixed feeling)

2. Give back old effects like how you would throw your sunrise and twilight whenever you used Blade trail or mirror blade.

3. A dedicated special options window for eternity for people who want specific attributes to show. (Say you only want a specific Blade, aura or footsteps on all the time rather than it alternating automatically) And also an option to put the Footstep window of eternity I linked a while back into an option for the blade. It looks so pretty and its literally impossible to see the rest with purely footsteps and feels just wasted. I made a small diagram in paint to show how it would work.

I mean its a super legendary… treat it like one because it really doesn’t feel worth sacrificing TWO Legendaries (With changeable stats) into one with a little in the terms of change.

It bothers me that a bunch of boring minorities don’t want dueling in this good looking world A-net has made and refuses to implement incentive to explore. You don’t know how many times in other MMO’s people have gone to specific locations just to duel someone in a scenic area.

And also to the people saying “It will bother me when Im in town TP’ing or in a bank”. Why are you dumb enough to assume that a-net won’t make those zones Un-duelable in? And if you cop out and say “Well they will constantly message me to duel” they can do that anyways with the crappy Spvp dueling system, you’re not going to be asked any more or less…

I just found out today that you could have got Rox’s shortbow and quiver a few weeks ago. I was on holiday for that short time period and am really upset I missed out on getting one of the best weapons skins in the gem store (IMO) since I had no idea it was getting re-released. Especially since I have already got over missing them before…

I would kill for just 1 hour of access to the thing ;-;. So I am just wondering, will they make a return any time soon?

Also what’s all this bullcrap about ele getting more defensives because one, I repeat, FRIGGIN ONE skill set gets an evade when they use an ability (IE Burning speed). I feel d/d is the little skill set anet dances and only think two kitten ed skill sets exist for elementalists. Because with these buffs it feels like “If you don’t like staff, than use d/d” Like the other weapons don’t exist..

Scepter feels a lot weaker in comparison yet hasn’t received kitten. It’s not like the auto attack sucks kitten on EVERY attunement or anything. Or that Dragons tooth and shatter stone are way to slow animations that NEVER hit any player with half a brain.

I just feel like 5 new grandmaster traits (which we will only be able to use two) won’t fix us. unless they are really over tuned.

Most of us will still be going 30 into arcane and 15 in water because anet doesn’t feel like increasing anything in terms of our baseline scaling to damage, defense and healing. And im also really scared that this will be classed as the CDI for us.

I remember a net saying they want to flat out increase the survivability and damage of the class so there can be build diversity outside of the cliché “30 arcane 15 water” builds. But how are a few grand master traits going to fix the problem? The current one that was just announced is kitten tier boring and if the others are anything like it, it will be another depressing time for ele’s in the aspect of trait diversity… I have heard nothing about baseline scaling for ele.

Also I remember ele was going to be getting a bit of polishing in the CDI thread on the pvp balance forums. Since it was unanimous that Ranger and Elementalist needed some love. Is that still going to happen or will they just skip the CDI rework and say “we fixed you with these grandmaster traits”?

Is this that #elepocolypse they were talking about….

Even that wouldn’t really work. It will still be slow as all hell for people to avoid.

IMO The tooth should follow you above your head at 75% of normal running speed.

The only way you’re going to make people leave arcane and water is if you.

1. Make evasive arcana either baseline or put it in the adept section of arcane
2. Make the attunement swap cds even lower
3. Increase class base healing and vitality by at least 150
4. Make attunement swap blast in the 15 trait slots an arcane trait ranging from adept to master, replacing all the 15 trait point buffs with A more buff defined attunement swap affect like Auras.
5. Make decent fire traits.

Seriously I don’t know your thought process behind elementalist’s trait diversity but not a soul is going to take 30 in fire because of how little the damage increase is for the trade off in survivability.

Also moving really helpful things like Cleansing wave when we attune to water, to grandmaster is a big nerf to our survival and extremely lazy on your part.

1. Talk about wall of text
2. NO ONE likes ride the lightning being on a long CD, anything higher than 15 seconds is stupid. Most people would rather it have the short CD than have a high one and a function, especially a function like daze…
3. Evasive arcana and attunement swapping blasts (which should be all in one trait) should either baseline or extremely low in different trees. These “improvements” don’t really fix that problem.
4. I don’t see anything about attunement recharges being lowered.

These are the core problems with the class, with a few crappy spells that are worthless.

No offense but I hope to god they do NOT come back EVER… These should be something that people who have been around since the beginning have a priviledge of owning. They can go ahead and make new weapons but I will be EXTREMELY kittened off if they bring these back…

Yeah it seems really fair that people who didn’t want to play arenanet’s stupid gambling keygame don’t get a very good skin… A weapon that was the highlight of last years Halloween should not be restricted to Rich kids that spent grotesque amounts of daddy’s money on keys.

Ive farmed keys ever since the skin was out and I never got ONE skin let alone the one I want, So I saved them in hopes that it will happen for this years halloween and you’re saying I don’t deserve at least a chance to get this?

Come this update the trail effects have been added back. But here is where I still have problems with Arena Nets half kitten attempts and making legendaries more appealing by slapping whatever they want on it and calling it an update.

Pros.
-Day time version looks really pretty and shines more.
-The scepter in general is more noticable
-Trail added back (shared with a con)
-Footsteps (shared with a con)
-Night time (… shared with a con)

Cons
-When sheathed this weapon is disgusting to look at in the day, I have no idea who at arena net woke up one morning and thought this was clever but it really does look awful which is why I make sure im always un-sheathed when I run.
-The trail they added back has been cut of by at least 2/3’s of it’s previous motion.
-The trail lost a bit of purple which synergized really well with the blue when moving it.
-Footsteps, People laugh at me when I run because they think the lightning worms that come off the ground when I walk on it look silly. The cloud effects afterwards are cool but really? The animation looks like a beta animation you had sitting in the files and left to gain dust until you decided to give it to us for screwing us over with footsteps.

Night time cons (Oh yes this lazy hunk of rubbish deserves it’s own category)
-Purple
-Purple
-…Purple
- Not dark blue at night, WHICH WOULD ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE TO PEOPLE THAT GOT THIS ITEM BECAUSE OF IT’S BLUE COLOUR SCHEME.
-The clouds are black but the crystallized cloud that emerges from the hilt isn’t? This is just flat out lazy design and the white and black mixing together makes it look ugly.
-As much as I hate the purple, you made the weapon glow purple but the hilt at the bottom glow blue still? This again is just flat out lazy. If you’re going to make a bad change to night time at least do it right.
-Purple (Seriously I cannot stress how much I and other really hate this)

Seriously this is worthy of a forum post to you? If you guys make this out like it is a big deal than I dread too see the future for elementalists. Quit making me go support and make damage builds more viable and fix this broken class.

Staff is a support weapon. If you don’t like playing support/ staff, and care about viable damage builds, there’s already s/f or s/d air burst builds for pvp (although certainly countered by the current meta, unfortunately), and s/d lightning hammer builds for pve.

Like im not aware? The problem with them is that they require a ton of more effort to so a the same amount of of damage as any other class, and which in PvP is easy to soak and avoid half the time to the most average of players.

My problem is that these builds are cookie cutter, stale and do not work.
