Just happened for me in WvW. I really hope its not a bug and just something they left out of the notes! (wouldn’t be the first time, the switch from confusion to bleeds on trident clones was also left out of the notes)
Although, I am almost sure its a bug and will be fixed in a timely fashion. As we all know Anet is quick to fix broken Mesmer skills…..

I think it’d help if they swap the Poison and the Vulnerability appliers for the Staff, so Winds is always a damaging condition.

Would also help out torch if the Phantasmal mage put a 5 sec burn instead of confusion.
Even with the nerf, glamour will still be our best zerg build for both dmg and support. We can still blind an entire zerg walking into our fields, and we will still put our 4 stacks of confusion on them.
Zerg fights are not at all like small group or 1v1 combat, a whole zerg cant afford to just stop attacking with another pushing into them.
I love my T2! I have no problem stayin here for awhile.
We will eventually move up to T1 and get stomped back down. No EU and an average NA means we cant compete with BG and JQ as they are now.
Will be interesting to see though.
They key to stoping a D/D ele is being able to kill them before they realize the fight wont go their way and run away or as someone said earlier stripping there swiftness. I have killed many overconfident eles on my engi and mesmer.
Cant we all play nice and have some nice yak steaks? I hunted them myself, fresh from TC BL
I know my engineer loves some nice dolyak steak and I still owe TC some revenge for cutting my midnight swim short in there bay a few nights ago….

For a condition mesmer, a condition necromancer is almost a death sentence 1v1. Staff clones will give the mesmer alot of random boons for you to corrupt. Any condition her sends your way can be sent straight back or simply cleansed with your heal skill.
The mesmer will have a tougher time dealing with your condition then you will with his.
If you cant beat him you can always ya know….. run away. Nothing the condition mesmer has can stop you.
The worst is a condition damage mesmer underwater. Have fun with that one.
only that as of last patch mesmers stack bleed with auto attack and clones instead of confusion.

Confusion isnt a OP, clear and simple. Mesmers simply can not sustain large confusion stacks for long periods of time.
You have 1 shatter that applies 6 stacks with 3 clones up if traited (shatters can be dodged) and a wepon skill on scepter (who uses scepter?!) that applies 5 stacks over 2 seconds. (also be dodged)
A glamour build confusion mesmer can apply the most stacks but it requires alot of work and skill to get a large stack as well as being on long cds, 40sec +
now, while it can be annoying fighting anyone with confusion there are things you can do to make it completly useless.
The first secret is applicable with all conditions. A rune that reduces condition duration along with food that does the same. If the mesmer isnt traited or running food of his own his conditions will go away like they werent even there.
second option is to run with other builds that can remove your conditions for you.
Third option works if its just 1v1. All you need to do is simply run away. a condition mesmer has no reliable way to slow you down as well as being painfully slow. Although in a 1v1 with a glamour mesmer once you wait out there confusion they are free kills.

I personally like the scepter (i know, im crazy) the only problem is the auto is slow and underwhelming.
The 2 skill is great in my opinon a block that summons an extra clone plus a nice chunk of dmg?! whats not to like, or an ranged blind is nice too.
The 3 skills is the best as we all know, and most people will dodge roll to evade it. Thats not a terrible thing tho. they wont have that dodge roll for when you ya know, shatter.
the only work the scepter needs is either a faster auto attack, or for it to hit about twice as hard, or my personal favorite suggestion, a condition on the third hit like confusion.
Wait, only 10 clones?
I personally like to run the 0/0/40/73/82 build that keeps 18-24 clones up at once while i abuse my ability to perma stealth. I use this all the time to counter zergs in wvw or solo temples and dungeons.
I use to use the 10 clone build because duel wielding greatswords just felt amazing but the clones lacked enough power (could barely 1 shot a bunker gaurdian)
RE is a large guild, we have over 400 members. Not everyone is a pro at pvp, not everyone is bad either.
We didnt bandwagon to kain, infact we built that wagon! (DE, which formerly was SE but recently merged into RE came to kain before WM) yay for facts and a confusing guild history!
Now that thats cleared up how about we play nice and we all have some milk and cookies!
I have to disagree with littlefeather, one person can make a huge diffrence. A team of 5 players can hold a tower or large keep with well placed siege agianst even a large force.
even 1 player going around killing dolyaks and camping supply camps can stall a keep s upgrades for awhile.
True, you will need a large group for the larger tasks such as capturing a keep for instance, however, dont disregaurd the small groups or even individual player.
My poor darkhaven. You have been hemprrhaging guilds since our great defeat agianst FA and even CD. First Icoa, who had come from nsp and absorbed a fair chunk of our wvw players. Next SE left us followed closely by GoF.
Now RE and WE have decided to part with you, and with them go the last 2 large wvw guild.
Do not despair! From the ashes of the large guilds the smaller ones have the chance to grow and try to lead. The matches wil get better, the time when we could compete agianst DB or EB is over but we will find a new tier where we can once agian have balanced matches, it will just take another week or two to fall.

No not really. Just pointing out how hard they failed when there were 5+ organized and they couldn’t stop a lone engineer from getting past them.
was just 4 of us that managed to slip by the ehmery encampment at the spawn. We had already killed a good 5-6 of ya sitting up there including your 2 mesmers.
But bravo to ya, not use to fighting engi’s and your knock back caught me by surprise.
Also, good job on wasting 5+ balistas and 3 golems trying to camp the puzzle ehmery! :p
the average thief will run from my mesmer.
Some awesome defense at DB on Nsp BL tonight. 7 of us held off your entire zerg of 30-40 for over an hour.
Just goes to show with well placed defensive siege, you can defend reasonable well
Trust me, if the gate was going to go down we would have jumped out and helped. That was not the case. The gate never went below 80% if i remeber right and we pushed them back anyway.
We used those golems to flip there garrison several times before they had time to respond.
As for us taking supply out of the keep, 90% of the supply for those golems came from supply camps.
