which would have implied that the world first kill was done by a pug group, lol.Also, I have a question for the OP or anyone else who knows:

Come on anet… how hard can it freaking be? This is driving me crazy.
There’s been multiple patches everyday and this is still broken. It’s one of the main features of the expansion, too.
While I myself have this problem and IT IS frustrating, you’ve got to realize that there are tons of problems that arise when and expansion launches, and problems causing crashes etc (which are still going on) will always be the main focus as for fixing as they should. Be patient.

You just need to wait for the vizers chest even to respawn. The wait sucks but there’s no bug.
How long does that take? I’ve waited over an hour and no event.
You actually “open” another chest (some feet in front of the one by the wall) which triggers the event.

Do anyone wish they just would introduce a grandmaster trait increasing the cast speed of Life Blast by 50% or 100%? I feel like this is really needed..
+ they really should have revamped Siphoned Power. It’s just.. worthless.

Looks like this balance patch will try to give PvP and WvW necros some more build diversity., which is fine. Hope they will focus on our strenghtening our power in PVE next time (looking at you, axe and dagger)
I thought it was 30% damage nerf to crits? That isn’t all the dps though.

Can someone try to explain why they keep forcing condition traits to Spite? Power necros are getting worse and worse, sadly. We’ll probably be the weakest PvE class overall due to our low damage from power specs as well as condition builds having big issues in PvE that I won’t get into. (these concerns are mostly for high end pve such as fracs etc, not open pve.. anything goes there)

Just absurd. Compare how many changes we got compared to the other classes. Even bug fixes – there are A LOT of bugs with our class..
Their conceptual design for the Necromancer goes completely against 90% of the mechanics that the other classes have access to. Their philosophy on our class should just change imo.
Its clear at this point that ANET devs (doing balance) mostly main Warriors, elementalists and some guardians. Thieves and Necromancers have been getting the short end of the stick since launch for all the balance patches.
Elementalist. As of right now, the necro is in a dire spot. Probably at the bottom of the list coupled with thieves. Elementalists have great mobility, fair damage and ways of supporting your party.
Arenanet doesnt want necros to have anything. Only conditions. Pretty obvious at this point.. we’re supposed to be the sustained class that is hard to get away from, but all the other classes have blinks and/or stealths, stability and invuls. We get none of this, yay necro! Don’t expect them to give us good siphon either.
The passive is just unusable. Should have been whenever you attack an enemy instead. What is a 300 heal going to do when most damage is 3-8k? Meanwhile warriors heal up to 400/s and mesmers will have a 1k/3s new heal in comparison. The active isn’t even noticeable, our life transfer traited will heal 3-4k aoe AND deal 6-9k AOE DMG (zerk) at the same time, which clearly is a better option if you want group sustain.
From watching the livestream, it is without a doubt the worst out of all the new ones. If you want to support your team, trait for life transfer heal. It’ll heal for 2-4k in an AoE. This just confirms that no one at Anet mains a necromancer.
Really wish the passive would be whenever you hit someone. I realize that balance in this game mostly will be focused on sPvP, but I really feel rubbish in PvE compared to most other classes. Oh well, we might see how it does.
Necromancers are probably the weakest in PvE (perhaps tied with thief). They are stronger in PvP but are losing some steam there as well.
You’re asking in a Necromancer sub-forum, what do you honestly think most people will answer?
Engineer does condis better than us, that’s the harsh reality.
Cleave won’t make axe #1 that much better.. not sure why so many are asking for this. Engis already do aoe vuln better than us, as well.
Guys, if you want stuff changed, also post in the thread made by the devs. Just be constructive and not kittens.
Dhuumfire really has made a negative impact for Necromancers in PvE. It should be removed, or apply torment in stead. For PvE, we are practically the worst class because we bring little to no utility compared to classes while dealing a lot less damage than say, warriors or elementalists.
Remove dhuumfire. Improve our team utility, if not, we should have the highest dps in a power role if we are supposed to be so godkitten greedy. A warrior should be able to dish out so much damage on top of all the boons they bring. It’s simply IMBALANCED.
It’s like ANet telling us: “For god’s sake just reroll a guard or warrior already”.

It’s mostly nerfing conditions in PvP while our power specs in PvE still remain hugely less effective to other classes in dps and team utility. Why would anyone ever pick a necro over a warrior in tougher 5 man content? Jeez.
What would you guys think of a trait that made the summoning cast of flesh wurm instant? This would give us a reliable teleport that would be interesting.
I’d love for it to siphon health as well.

Yes to a greatsword draining life force, turning it into actual health.
I use bloodlust on my warhorn and battle on focus. Force on the main hands.
PvE:
1) Rewards/loot
2) More existing weapons available for existing classes that currently can’t wield team (i.e. new skills that aren’t in the utility slots)
3) Class balance. Engineers/Necromancers/Rangers are being frowned upon and in a lot of cases and kicked out of parties which is frustrating (PvP balance seems fine for the most part)
Ton of great ideas in here.
Full clerics necro in PvE? (Dungeon content etc). Dev healed for 3k aoe with life transfer using soldiers.
I wonder how far we’re off when it comes to new skills. Devs said that they might take take year unfortunately.
Strong in PvP. Needs more utility in PvE for team play so people have a reason to pick us over, say, mesmers or elementalists. We’re too “selfish” at the moment.
Greatsword or 1h swords would be terrific.
Torment on a #1 skill seems horriby overpowered.
Would be cool if we could get one of those dark spells that Liadri used. Seems so fitting for the necro.. it could serve as a blast finisher when it hits the ground as well. Just a thought.
Make summon flesh wurm instant.

Make Lich Form stronger than dagger #1.
Give wells distinct visuals and animations so other professions know what they are and do.
Give our minions distinct looks and randomly generated names (similar to WoW Warlocks)
Atleast ONE source of vigor.
Either give us a pull with torment on our next wep or give spectral grasp torment.
Let us keep the Spectral Walk trail for the whole duration of the swiftness.. (we don’t need to get life force on hit after the initial few seconds, though)
Make warhorn slightly more useful.
Decrease the cast time of Dark Path since it already has a fairly long travel time.
Let us heal despite being in DS.
Update our profession icon.. the skull is horribly boring.
Updated skill animations overall. I feel like as a caster we get no recognition here.. only spectral walk and epidemic look special (not counting underwater skills)
