0/30/0/30/10, full berserker gear.
A full build with stats is probably, like me, what he was looking for – maybe with a bit of conversation and why and how…?
Yep – that’s exactly what I’m looking for. I rushed leveling so I’m still new to many of the nuances of the class, so any advice on which traits to pick, which weapons/runes to use, which trinkets and accessories, which slot skills, etc. would be much appreciated.
Just got my guardian up to 80 thanks to the Crown Pavilion, but I’m a little lost in terms of which direction I should take his build. I’ve looked around a lot but most of the popular builds seem to be a little outdated — what are the couple of standard builds people are running atm? (I kept getting booted out of dungeons as a ranger so I want to make sure that my guardian build is “acceptable”)
Whenever I get to the end of a “level,” the chest opens with the proper animation, but there are no bauble bubbles inside (there are regular baubles, though). Are you only allowed to get the reward once per day? Or is there something else going on here? Thanks!
Hiya, HappyGirlWaving!
The Phoenix Network [FIRE] is a casual guild with a focus on PvE and WvW (with a little PvP on the side, though, and a lot of dungeon runs ). We’re a pretty chatty bunch, and have a good mix of newcomers and veterans – as evidenced by the interaction between these two groups, we really like to help each other out. Many of our members are veterans of other MMOs (including a couple of 6/7-year old WoW veterans). We almost have guild missions unlocked (finished Art of War just a few days ago), so you’d definitely be valued. Our core player base also plays during GMT-8 peak periods, including myself. Here are three reasons, in my opinion, why The Phoenix Network stands out from all other GW2 guilds:
Community: The Phoenix Network was actually originally conceived as a private guild between a handful of friends, but we met so many awesome players that we decided that we had to come up with a way to unite these fantastic individuals. Our members are some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable people in the game, and you’ll feel right at home, whether you’ve logged thousands of hours or only a few minutes.
Flexibility: Unlike other guilds, we don’t impose constrictive limits on your gameplay experience. Though our members organize dungeon runs, WvW/PvP events, and other fun activities, you’re by no means obligated to participate. And though many of our members do commit all five of their characters to the guild, you’re not required to do so, though you may find yourself doing so after just a few days of experiencing our community. There is no minimum level requirement, nor a minimum level of participation; any contribution level is always appreciated.
Reliability: We’re always here for you, willing to help you on the steps you are taking to become the Hero of Tyria or towards your acquisition of a legendary weapon. Our flexible, casual nature by no means suggests that we don’t take the game or your experience in a serious attitude. Anything we can do, we will do.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments, contact me via in-game mail or send me a PM on the forums. Thank you in advance for your support!
The Phoenix Network [FIRE] is looking for more chatty players to take advantage of our new Mumble server, as well as officers to start new branches of the guild on servers other than Stormbluff Isle. Apply for officer positions with a brief explanation of your credentials and previous experience. In both cases, apply at phoenixnetwork.shivtr.com (more info about the guild is there as well) or send Aelius Lionheart an in-game mail.

Munition Acquisition (66)
Steal high powered explosives from the Inquest
(completed) Clear out the Inquest.
(completed) Secure the explosives.
(current objective) Defeat the Inquest counterattack.
Stuck at this objective – target area highlighted in green, but no waves of enemies have appeared. Help?
Thanks for the replies! I wasn’t sure if salvaging whites was worth it, but I guess you’re right, LithePanther – it’s an equal tradeoff. This is still going to take a substantial amount of time, though xD
So a semi-new player here (about a month in), so bear with me if I don’t understand something – I’m still trying to fully immerse myself in the lore and the meta.
I’ve been steadily progressing through the monthly, and I’m done with everything now (basically) except for the 500 salvages (I only have ~125). Any suggestions for completing it? I don’t think I’m going to be able to find another 400 salvage items, and I don’t have enough cash to make salvaging most weapon/armor drops worth it.
Home World: Stormbluff Isle
Guild Name: The Phoenix Network
In-Game Contact: (myself) – Aelius Lionheart is my main.
Focus: PvE
Quick Notes: Very casual, no commitment requirements or unnecessary formalities. 18+ only.
The Phoenix Network [FIRE] is a new guild looking for players who want to share in a little casual fun and earn influence points us. There are no requirements to join or try-out periods, and our membership ranges from level 1 to level 80. If you want to have fun with others in your world, without the formalities, structure, or requirements of a traditional guild, we may be a good fit for you. You don’t have to log on x hours a week, use a certain chat application, participate in online forum activities, or abandon your other guilds – you’re absolutely free to participate in any way you want to. Whisper me in-game or send me a mail to get an invite or more information.
(There is an age 18+ requirement though.)

You can still switch for free? I thought I read somewhere on the wiki that ANet was charging up to 1800 gems for that service – or am I confusing myself with something else?
I’m no stranger to gaming, but I finally decided give MMOs a try since GW2 seemed pretty unique (and had no monthly fee). A couple of my friends will be joining me as well in a few weeks, though, so I’m wondering if I should risk joining a server with a “Very High” population. If I join, say, Stormbuff Isle (or something similar), do you think there’ll still be space then? Can I easily switch to a lower populated server for a negligible cost?
Best,
Hedgietto
