Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock and Back Items

I used the unlock item and received Bat Wings. However, it only unlocked the back item, instead of it and the glider skin, like when you buy it with gems.
Is this intended?
980 user here. For me it’s some conflict with Steam overlay.

Plus, I don’t get the frozen loading screen or hear in-game audio anymore.
GW2 turns invisible, but gets stuck in the forefront (essentially hijacking the whole screen), forcing me to kill it with Task Manager using my keyboard. And this is now more frequent than ever before.

I think I’ve pinpointed the source of my issues. It’s launching the game with Steam overlay. The game and the overlay used to play nice together in the past, but some change in one of the two has made them somewhat incompatible.
I got my Treasury and Guild Upgrade UI working by running the game with the 64 bit client. It’s blank every time with 32 bit one.
I’m playing from Linux, but never had these issues until recently.
I have a thought though.. Are the images being loaded, stored in the gw2.dat file, or loaded from a remote server? If a server, I wonder if it may be an issue with the server that the image files are being hosted on, or an issue in transmission, like bottle-necking?
Also just since today, I am experiencing issues with my character model in the hero panel, often loading very slowly or not at all.
The Store and the TP are both web pages. So if the Treasury UI uses the same system, all it’s content are sent from a server, though the images might get stored in cache.

I’m representing Celtic Wild Hunt [Celt] and Avenging Angels Of Eternal Hate [NOT], the issue being present on both guilds for me.
I’ve also been experiencing this for about a month.
It seems to be mostly random if it’ll happen or not, but it’s most likely after picking a character after logging in. Only once did the loading screen freeze after using a waypoint.
The game is actually functioning, apart from not being able to see. I can move around, use skills and the world map and interact with the UI. I’ve managed to teleport to my guild’s guild hall, though the loading screen won’t change.
The issue occurs on both 32 and 64 bit versions.
Below is an example what the -maploadinfo says at the moment of freeze. MapLoadState is STATE_AGENT_STREAM every single time for me. ElapsedWaitTime doesn’t advance either.
I’ve tried deleting local.dat, clearing game’s cache and done -repair multiple times, but none of them have fixed it.

This has started happening to me with trees and plant if I’m in trying to harvest in Bloodtide Coast, Harathi Hinterlands and Southsun Cove (so far, haven’t tested this elsewhere) if my Costume Brawl is active.
Maybe it’s intended to prevent Bots from using tonics that make your character very small to be less noticeable.
I used a toy. Also, I fail to see why using this as an anti-bot method would actually be effective. All in all, this looks like a bug to me, as it doesn’t affect every map in the game.

This has never, ever, worked for me, for any tab in chat. I didn’t even know it was a feature, until people starting posting about it not working…lol. There have been several threads about this in the last month, or so.

Really? I tried to search for threads, but none came up…
If i don’t have the guild chat tab open and someone’s saying something, the tab won’t turn red like the other tabs do. Is there a way to fix this?
I’ve tried toggling the notification option, logging out and in in offline/invisible mode (with or without notifications) and switching between guilds i represent.
I wholeheartedly support this. Outfits being in one piece hinders customisation by a lot! Items like the top hat is really missed opportunity with the charr (i love how they wear it!), as you can’t mix it with the noble count outfit or the fancy winter outfit.

Yes. That’s what’s appearing in combat now. So there’s no way to reliably tell.
It should be, as it doesn’t appear outside of combat. At least that’s how it’s been since the beta tests for me.

Same here. My life has a meaning once again.
Scepter autoattack while attuned to fire gives nothing but burning.
The good news is, the further you get, the less time you have to wait…as you get better at it, you don’t wait nearly as much.
Unless you make it to the top.
The whole social aspect of the tower’s lobby (and the whole puzzle to be honest) is completely gone thanks to the locked gear, no social items allowed, no parties, scoring and the time limit. These things together have made the clock tower a rather boring experience.
The wisp deal is the only thing i’m ok with.
This comes from someone who spent countless hours in this activity during the last Halloween.

I do hope it’s an oversight, since the chest still does reset each time you complete the puzzle. There’s just nothing in it after you get those Empyreal Fragments.
It’s only useful if used multiple times, successfully. The problem is that doing so makes you worthless as you could’ve done so many other things in the same amount of time :/
That’s been possible for the longest time. It’s really nothing new.
Phase 1 of LA’s even is STILL BUGGED and they released phase 2.
Canach won’t spawn so that he can be killed. Yet his captive now on a ship for phase 2?
They removed all Phase 1 content.
So much for the promises of extending it :/
This was just what gave more hope for support staff elementalists. My choice of playstyle since headstart.
Now only the water attunement dodge seems somewhat viable. And only if you’ve spec’d healing power.
It isn’t worth the 30 arcane points anymore! It’s no longer an actual grandmaster trait. The effects are so insignificant.
Besides, they only trigger once every ten seconds, per attunement.
Turn that cooldown to effect every attunement and you have a middle ground. Though that wouldn’t be even necessary in my opinion.
Being unintentional or not, this was a bad decision, ArenaNet :/
And it’s even worse that you didn’t introduce anything interesting in its place.
It makes me LOL the amount of maturity there are within this “Forum Community”. For every 1 post that is mature and thought out, there are 5 that are about the maturity equivalent of my 6 year old yelling “YOU’RE NOT MY BEST FRIEND ANYMORE” at A-net.
If you people are really quitting and un-installing based on one line from a magazine article, then good riddance. You were just looking for a excuse to go anyway. If it truly is a gear grindy treadmill, I will be just as pissed as any of you, but come on. Wait and see what it is first.

I’ll reserve my judgment when i see the stat difference.
But, as this is basicly dungeon gear, ArenaNet should make these soulbound acquire and/or implement the token system for them.
I wouldn’t put Bloodlust sigil in a warhorn. It’s so hard to get killing blows with that weapon. With a necromancer at least.

The playstyle i’m after is cond.dmg./toughness/healing, preferable focus in that order.
More and more i look into this i feel i’ve chosen a stupid path for my elementalist.
Am i missing something?

One problem is that there’s no armor with these stats so i can’t focus on vitality with my accessories.

I spent 4 hours attempting the tower and i hated the thing. After making it to the top i thought it was the best part of the event and kept doing it.

I was looking for a dungeon group 5 hours ago or so in LA. I was messaging every five minutes. This triggered the suppression pretty quickly, in a half an hour.
After i was done with the dungeon i went offline for two hours. So i came back and started looking for another group. It took two messages for suppression to kick back in!

But there’s a difference between being concerned and being childish :P
I’m kinda ok with the Whirlpool damage reduction. I would have reduced it by 25% or so.
What i hate about the skill is that you’re just standing there ticking damage, some of which can even be avoided.
But then again, who wants to play as an Elementalist underwater in PvP anyway? :P
I’m not giving up yet, but ArenaNet with their recent balance changes (and not just this class) gives out kind of a clueless image of themselves.
I have a feeling they’re working on it.
ArenaNet has the habbit of staying quiet until they have something to release.
I just use staff with Air #4, Glyph of Elemental Harmony, Air #5, Arcane Wave
All recharge so fast that i won’t have a problem even if i end up in a fight right after using them.
If there isn’t a healing power cap, i doubt there’s limit of how much healing you can get.
It does apply one stack of bleeding (and some cripple? Can’t remember).
But the battle doesn’t end when the gate goes down.
Going a bit off-topic from OP here, but the earth attunement dodge should inflict at least 2 stacks of bleed to make it viable compared to the other ones.

Description: when this spell is about to explode and you cast mist form, the damage and condition won’t apply to the target(s).
Without talking about balance, it’s quite annoying to see the number of buggy/glitchy mechanism we have to work with while setting up complicated combo that aren’t that rewarding.

I don’t have to be in any form for this to happen. It seems to be somewhat random, based on my experiences.
Usually it bugs out if i cast the spell behind me (or turn my back to it any time while it’s on the ground) or the mob i’m targeting at the time of cast leaves the AoE range before the explosion. Even if the target comes back within the skill’s AoE, there’s still a possibility that the skill does nothing.
I dare to say this happens to me around 50% of the time when one or more of these conditions are met. It can even bug -though very rarely- if none of those conditions are met.
I haven’t done any purposeful testing. These are things i’ve noticed while just playing the game.
