The 5% upfront is there to keep players from using the TP as a surrogate bank. Without the upfront fee, you could store anything you wanted indefinitely on the TP as long as you set a ridiculous buyout.

The 10% on the sell side never kicks in if you don’t actually sell the item.

You can’t get full soldier gear from temples (no soldier helmet) but the full sentinel sets are sold in wvw for badges + minimal gold which you ought to have hundreds if not thousands of badges at this stage of the game.

Except there are plenty of people who have played this game for many months and have never WvW’d because they have no interest in doing so.

The rubberbanding while falling thing is definitely not an Oceanic only thing. I’ve been getting it pretty consistently on two different computers on two different internet providers since the last patch. I’m 4 hours (drive) from Seattle on a PST server.

Sales tax is already levied for us when we buy gems. It’s an an additional $1 something charge when buying $20 of gems.

You should have played 1st Edition AD&D. like eight or so different classes, Fighter, Ranger, Paladin, Thief, Assassin, Cleric, Druid, Magic-User (yes, not a mage, a magic-user), Illusionist, Monk, and if you wanted to be a Bard you had to be a Fighter first, then a Thief, then go to a Bard college… and every class had a different title each level until 11 or so… Magic-user titles went something like Apprentice, Wizard, Thaumaturgist, Sorcerer, Conjurer…

And then there were class levels, spell levels, dungeon levels… So your 5th level cleric cast a 2nd level spell on the 3rd level of the dungeon…

It wasn’t until something like 10 years after it was released that they started to standardize things with 2nd Edition. They dropped some classes like monk and assassin and gathered everything under the class groups Warrior, Rogue, Priest and Wizard. Then they added kits to the classes and started making a mess of everything again.

Fun times.

Magic-User was terminology from D&D Basic. Not AD&D. You also forgot Cavalier and Acrobat in your list.

That “Dev” was Colin Johanson, the Game Director for GW2. He stated he would forward the thread and another thread linked to that thread to the team in charge of Dragon/Temple Bosses. This means that hopefully Megadestroyer and Gates of Arah event chains will get looked at to see why they were not updated with a guaranteed rare chest.

Speak whatever language you and your friends feel most comfortable with. You will get a few ignorant people who may not like it but it is really none of their business. The only qualifier I have to this is if your are doing some sort of group activity where you have members of mixed languages. I would consider it polite to make an effort to at least make sure everyone knows what is going on if possible via a shared language.

Megadestroyer chest was never updated to include a guaranteed rare, so there shouldn’t be a daily chest.

It’s 8pm est (daily reset for me) I go do Shatterer and get 1 Guaranteed Rare in a bonus chest. This chest is in the right side and looks like a daily reward. On the ground is another chest. This one has no guarantee and RNG is there. So I loot that one too hoping ofr even more rares or better.

Ok so I’ve done shatterer on this character. Between now at 8pm Est tomorrow if I do shatter again on ANY character on THIS account, I will recieve nothing expcept xp karma.

8Pm rolls around again for me, now the reset occured. Gee shatterer happens to be up again after the reset, I do the event again, and get the bonus chest and the regular chest.

This is how it works. Apply this to every boss chest you do that were listed on the forums and its teh same result.

1 bonus per account per day per event.
1 regular chest per account per day per event.
1 day = 24hour server reset time.
Account= all characters pertaining to your entire GW2 account.
Event= any event that gives a chest and is included in the new system.

Additionally you now need to be level 40+ to receive the bonus chest.

Regular chest is per character, not account. I verified this last night doing Behemoth several times.

I’ll use Diablo 3 for an example of why its bad to have a nearly endless supply of gold flushed into an economy leads to the consumer having almost no buying power. I’ve probably made around 70 million gold through the course of my playtime in Diablo 3, perhaps 5 million of which was through auction house sales (I’m a pack rat and it pains me to sell nice things I find). I currently have 40 million gold in my account. Guess what that 40 million gold affords me in terms of upgrades for my primary character? 200 million is pretty much the base price of anything that would be considered an upgrade. When you have stuff listed for 1.5 billion buyouts, you know you have a broken economy. Then again, maybe I’m wrong and the vast majority of D3 players are sitting on billions?

All six items are currently available, 3 in Diessa and 3 in Wayfarer’s. If you find the spot for an item you’ve already turned in, it will state that you’ve already returned the possession. You will simply need to continue looking for another dirt or snow covered pile. They are out there, I finished this achievement last night with a tiny amount of effort. Just hold down CTRL while you run around, it will make it much easier.

Yet another ecto conspiracy thread. I need to start selling tinfoil on the TP. There is nothing but your anecdotal evidence to support this claim. People have been testing ecto rates fairly diligently over the last few weeks and none of them have found any change outside the normal bounds of what is expected.

This isn’t a new trick at all. I believe its an ability that changes (loses or gains) dynamically based on the number of people at the event. Most of the Melandru fights I’ve participated in have included the drake, but a few times when there were a very large number of people, there were never any drake phases. He was finally working again on my server again last night after being “Unavailable” for the last 2 weeks and we had maybe 12 people doing the event and we went through the whole drake morph a few times.

Teleport hack bots EVERYWHERE. I can never seem to get them reported before they blink off to the next spot.

Funny, Powerful blood is really the only T6 mat I want at the moment and I’m having a hell of a time getting any amount of it. Don’t feel like being taken for a ride in the TP for it either. Wish I could trade poison glands for blood on a 1:1 basis.

There are so many bugged events on my server currently in Cursed Shores. Melandru and Arah lines have been bugged for nearly two weeks now. No sign of the Ooze King and several other events as well. Grenth is still working I believe but pretty much everyone is relegated to Pen/Shelt/Jofast farming since almost nothing else is working. They need to fix the Arah event chest though if they expect anyone to actually do that line again (assuming a time when it actually works). High Orrian Wizard is certainly harder then Maw and Behemoth so there is no reason why his chest should be garbage.

Tuesday was the first time I’ve had an Exotic drop. It was Final Rest. It really doesn’t bother me much since I just craft my exotics as I get materials. As long as there is a viable outlet for gaining exotic gear, I don’t really see the problem with a low drop rate in PvE.

15% tax is quite low, I’m not quite sure you have a grasp on just how much the average person in the United States is taxed, let alone any European country (which generally have even higher taxes).

The ectos for ascended gear won’t matter – the laurels are what matters. People will rather do the guild missions.

Someone vastly overestimates the amount of people who are ever going to do guild missions due to the restrictive requirements to access them.

I can agree here. Things like the warrior’s trait for running faster while wielding a melee weapon? Doesn’t tell you the run speed increase at all. What? I have to go look that up? Why?

Why does the tool tip for an Elementalist’s Signet of Air run speed increase say 25% in one place and 10% on the onscreen buff icon? I’m pretty sure its a 25% increase but there is always the nagging doubt in the back of my mind because of the disparate tool tips.

I was able to find the mug and doll without much effort on March 1st. They are sparkles on the ground like any of the ambient weaponry you can pick up throughout the game. The Doll is in Diessa and the mug is in Wayfarer’s. There are plenty of resources on the internet showing possible spawn locations. The location changes each day but is in only one spot for that day.

I haven’t seen Shank Anchorage under Pact control since the patch. Warmaster Chan and company just gets smothered by the ridiculous amount of risen that spawn, even when only one player is escorting. Worse yet, they have a tendency to not despawn after the event fails and just stand around in a tightly packed group of 12 or so risen.

You can buy the ascended accessories for laurels and ectos. What exactly do you want? There are thousands of us who are in guilds who will never even have the influence to buy into guild events. Guess what, we’ll still get our ascended accessories.
