I’ve been out of the game for a while and as expected my previous guild removed me for inactivity which was fair enough. it’s been well over 6 months.

Anyway I’m on Desolation. I don’t have the gold to convert to gems to switch servers so i’ll be staying there for the foreseeable future.

I do enjoy WvW but it’s not the main thing i am looking for in a guild. so a Mega server based guild would be fine. I’m looking for something that’s fairly casual. I have a daughter and have other RL commitments so if you’re hardcore or require a minimum amount of play time a week i’m not for you.

I play most content so looking for PvX

Strange people saying they will play more once the league is finished, as far as i am aware when this league finishes then season 2 will start a new with new achievements. maybe the last few weeks of the league season will be easier to get on as the AP hunters will have moved on

I like wvw did before and still do but hating the queue’s it’s impossible to get friends in together because of the insane queue system where some will get in in a short time and some take 2 hours despite queueing at the same time.

Please please please make the queue system in order of who clicks in what order and implement some sort of ETA for the queue length at least that way i know whether i should go do something else which might take a while or if it’s short i can just potter around.

Stuff like this like first come first served and some form of ETA should have been easy to implement ages ago at least we’d know then and if we as a group all click queue at the same time we might get in at roughly the same time

That said when I do get in and some nights I really enjoy WvW. Someone mentioned the fight over our keep with Underworld and Aurora Glade constantly attacking for 3 hours that was amazing fun.

i don’t always get in because when i get in from work and put my daughter to bed its peak time and it’s impossible some nights. it does seem to penalise more casual players.

Perhaps the leagues could maybe limited to 6 servers and over 4 weeks instead of 7 to close up some of the match ups a little

the thing is with the new scaling software they are trialling which will make event much much harder to complete then you’d be really annoyed once that happens to only get a few blues

Really i’ve always found people on Desolation to be really helpful with this and other stuff. Which server are you on?

yeah that’s what i figured but the stuff i get lag issues in is stuff like dungeons and fractals which take longer than 20 minutes to be able to test it.

ah well hope Anet and my ISP get their fingers out and get the servers which are causing the issue between them to fix the problems

The issues are with Level3 servers if you are in Europe not the game itself

the more people that post the quicker someone might get intouch with level3

how does the 20 minute disconnects work on the trial. does this mean it will go back to routing normally or will it disconnect completely from the game. 20 minutes at a time isn’t long enough to trial it properly as most of the things i am having issues with take longer than 20 mins

Hi i have been having this same issue. The problem is with Level3’s servers

My ISP has asked me to gather evidence of others having the same issue with Level3 which is causing the issues in Europe with lag spikes. The more people who post the quicker they can tell level3 to get their act in gear

This might actually get the problem fixed as Anet don’t seem to want to acknowledge the issue

I’ve been getting lag spikes for a while now not sure if it was the last patch or the patch before.

No issues elsewhere on other online games or with anything else. managed to stream from Netflix fine for 3 hours last night too. Im in EU on Desolation, Virgin Media Internet.

Been most noticeable the last few days as i went to WvW and Fractals where a spike generally means death. Especially on the jumping puzzle type fractals

Fractals are busy enough, Use the Monthly to get do other things like 200 PvE events or just allow any dungeon completion Fractal or other dungeons.

I Like fractals when i get in but i don’t play them that often and the gated content means my limited play time means they are a closed bit of the game for me apart from Saturdays when i get more time, It takes that long to find groups willing to do lower ones i rarely bother unless some guildies want to go as its just a waste of my time trying to find a group.

I don’t care about ascended stuff i just want to play to have fun but i do like to try and complete the monthlies.

Fractals really don’t need any more incentive to go there

Yes it should be a choice of the guild leader whether to enforce it or not in WvW. When we’re doing an event we might want to force it but other times maybe not

Ok second attempt at agreeing with this suggestion. I don’t really have any extra suggestions to add as its a really straight forward suggestion but i think this would be a fantastically useful addition. This post is me lending my support to a really good idea, If we can’t simply agree with a really good idea then what’s the point of having a suggestions forum.

Love the original suggestion, It’s nigh on impossible to find a lower level group now

Enjoyed the event had a blast killing stuff with guildies, Didn’t get much loot but that’s not really my thing anyway.

Also did the rest of you really have to come into a positive thread complaining? there are loads of them to do that in.

Had a great time, Enjoyed the 2 hours of the event, Most guildies did too bar a couple of dc’d issues but that’s being sorted so all good.

Lag semed much less than normal at these huge events for me, still looking forward to the pc upgrade soon though so i can enjoy the scenery more.

It should never have been RNG in the first place, what a terrible decision. Precursors should have been a reward for an accomplishment, such as defeating a very difficult boss on a high level FoM- or something along those lines.

So only those who can put in loads of hours can get them?

Calm Down, The event took two hours Just be happy for those who got lucky, i wasn’t one but i had a whole lot of fun with guildies killing stuff

I can understand why some will be annoyed by the new armour but my view is I don’t really care that much about gear, It’s nice to have and something to work towards but for me it’s not the be all and end all. I can see some people not being happy because for them having the best gear is the thi9ng for them, for me its playing the game. To be fair though this was always going to happen eventually, We should all be thankful this has been added free rather than paying £30 for an expansion.

Have to say if it weren’t the fact of having to get all our guild to move I’d be off from Deso. The daytime/evening players are so defeatist and only seem to want to fight when its easy. I’ve jet to see a decent commander who actually thinks about defending occasionally and not just Zerging from one place to another and letting everything fall behind them.

A bit about us, The Peoples Front of Tyria is European Guild Wars 2 Guild, we are a social guild which doesn’t care how high level you are. We are open to all members regardless of how much time you can put in, All we ask is you are friendly to our members and the rest of the game world and take part in our Community. We will be doing a fair bit of WvWvW but don’t require everyone to join in and we want to see as much of the PvE stuff as possible. We like to have fun while playing, our name is inspired by Monty Python and we have a wide range of ages. If you have any questions i will be more than happy to answer.

Play Style
We are primarily a casual or social guild. we don’t expect anyone to put in 5 hours a night or 20 hours a week. you can play your own style as much or as little as you like. We’d like you to take part in our community of course as it makes the experience better for everyone. We will be doing PvE and WvW and likely some PvP too. If you are looking for a hardcore guild full of elitist people then we are not the guild for you. we don’t tolerate elitist attitudes. We understand everyone has real lives and they should come first.
We won’t impose profession/class/race limits on anyone, play your own way and have fun with us while playing

Very Brief history
We’ve been playing MMOs since 1999 (Played EQ1, WoW, DAoC, LOTRO). We’re looking for Players of all abilities and are looking for players who will help shape where our guild will go. We were for a while the largest guild on the Tribunal EQ server, had over 250 active members and ran a server wide trade fair in Freeport once a week. We aren’t looking to become that large again but we are looking to grow and we have some great experience and we’re looking to have fun.

Age Restrictions – We don’t have any age restrictions. all we ask is you act mature and you will be welcome within the People’s Front of Tyria.

No Discrimination – We don’t allow any discrimination in the guild.
