I’ve been away from GW2 for some time and was wondering for those who are active on the forums. Has there been any mention of new classes ever being released? I figured since the game released 8/28/2012 there might be at least some rumors or devs saying its being worked on
I’ve been away for a while and thinking of returning. I know the precursors were going to be more obtainable sometime, is that in effect or do we have a eta?
I am currently using precision/power accessories, mostly rabid(power,vit,condition) armor(one piece of berserker). I like to keep burning on the target all the time. I can even spam Virtue of Justice on a pack becuz it refreshes when a target dies and each time I click it I AoE blind and blind leads to 3 stacks of Vulnerability. I would say most of my damage is direct but since I try to keep burning on the target Im not sure if Condition Damage stacking on armor is worth it.. for just burning.
Does Teq/Shatterer also have a Daily guarantee chest for each of them like Claw does?
Also does that chest have a exotic chance which leads to possible Precursor?
How exactly does Shield of Wrath(Focus) Blast Finisher work? I tried placing a fire combo field and hitting Shield of Wrath, letting it expire, and letting 3 shields get dropped and none of those created a Blast effect.
I just noticed The Prestige isnt actually doing the “Blast” part anymore even though the tooltip says it does. If i create a Feedback Bubble I dont apply Choas Armor to myself or anyone else around me. I did notice since patch you can break the Stealth early and still get the Blast graphic. Tried with breaking early and without and no Blast effect applied.
I just recently go into the Engineer and I can’t seem to finalize ona good spvp build. I tried searching the Eng Forum but its pages upon pages of people complaining. So I figured Id just ask outright.
If you like P/D, a good build is the venom build, which would be 20 in deadly arts and atleast 20 in Shadow Arts (for the venom heal), or 30 in SA (for the Venom Share).
Many will tell you “don’t bother” with venom builds because of the 25 stack bleed limit, and that others can “do it better”. I personally love P/D and the venom build.
If you’d rather forgo venoms and just concentrate on bleeds, use Caltrops.
As you have discovered, Sneak attack is great. Practice using CnD as you have, you may want to choose between Shadow Refuge OR Blinding Powder. If you went 30 in SA, Shadow Ref is a no brainer (for the regen from stealth). I think Shadow Ref is going to be your best friend since you love pistols, since it will combo for a lifesteal as well.
Just watch youtube videos of others with pistol builds and try out what fits you best. At this points I’ve tried all weapon sets and have a set of exotic power/crit gear and condition gear.
You must find what you like through discovery, it’s part of the fun and ensures you always evolve and aren’t just good at the “flavor of the month” build.
I’m currently using Pistol/Dagger and Pistol/Pistol. Low level so trying to grasp an idea for the future. I use Dagger/Dagger in pvp and ive read Sword/Pistol is great in Dungeons. I’m not clicking with Sword/Pistol atm but really enjoying the pistol setup. I Cloak n Dagger then Sneak Attack pistol main hand for 5x Bleed, Blinding Powder, 5x hit bleed, Hide in Shadows Sneak Attack.. so forth. I can get distance if need be with Shadow Strike. Also Cloak and Dagger gives 3x Vulnerability and Body Shot gives a 5x so the debuff synergy is great!
This spec does lack AoE like crazy and I know there is a talent in Trickery for 20% bullet bounce to additional target.

Is it also know if magic find works on the mystic toilet?
I used fully MF gear and speant over 800g into the forge on Greatswords and never got a precursor. Got frustrated and rage quit for a while. Also had a friend pitch in about 350g and she never got one either. So yea.. If you wanna play the MF dont.. either wait for the magical day Anet gives another option or buy it outright.
Dagger/Pistol has great synergy, you can drop Black Powder(Smoke Field), Heartseeker(Leap Finisher)**, step behind target Backstab.
Sword/Pistol having Pistol Whip is great… but there is a major lack of synergy. Black Powder followed up by Headshot are your only options.. Which Dagger/Pistol can already do plus the added Leap from Heartseeker. Also Shadow Shot which could be a Leap also has a Projectile Finisher.
Dagger/Pistol = One Field, Three Finishers
Sword/Pistol = One Field, One Finisher
Pistol/Pistol = One Field, Four Finishers
**Leap through Smoke Field puts player in Stealth setting up for "Backstab, Tactical Strike, ect..)
Is there a way to ground AoE at the targets location without using the mouse or having the mouse pointer sitting in the middle of my screen?
EDIT: I know if I place the mouse pointer under the “Weapon Swap” button then it will flag all Ground Target AoEs at my character location. This works fine for melee characters but for lets say a Thief with Shortbow it doesnt work so much.
So 1300 posts. I kinda think this is a high priority at this point in time. I know they are in the works for something to implement but 1300 posts later i think its worth our while to get a new update.
Nice. Im taking a break atm from gw2. I had plans to get Sunrise for the longest time but after 400g into the Mystic Forge and no luck on events I decided it was best to just take a break. I’ll be back when the “scavenger hunt” goes into effect.

I may have originally placed this question in the wrong forum but why is the Fiery Dragon Sword PvP not in our HoM vendor? Looks like everything else is there.
It would be nice to know ahead of time. I made a very great looking character but I really dont want to reroll from 80 if I come to find there will be new starting areas. You can choose lineage during your story so its very questionable atm.
I have an Elonian themed Thief. When Elona becomes available will you be able to start there or will it mostly have Karma vendors for racially themed gear?
1: Anet never said that Elona will come available. There is nothing known bout future content. People are just guessing the game might develop into that direction.
2: Anet did stated that They will only release expansions, and no stand alone campaigns. So it will be different then in GW1
3: There is a lot of talk bout new playable races. So cause Anet listens a lot to the community you can expect more playable races.
Given these points I think it will be really unlikely that you can make a human in an possible elonian themed expansion. You can give your (human) character an elonian look and it is already possible to have very elonian looking gear.
The final and shortest answer is that there is nothing known bout future expansions
1.) If you hit “M” and go to the bottom right. “Elona” is literally on the world map. So its there just you cant go yet.
2.) If you go to the Ossan Quarter of Divinity’s Reach you can see the where the Elonian Race settle.
3.) “Elona is not accessible in the initial release of Guild Wars 2.” From the gw2 wiki which is 100% supported by Anet. You can even /wiki ingame to bring it up.

Id also like to see this implemented. There has been a few threads asking for this. If it becomes available then it will most likely cost gems. Probably like 1000 to change order. I took Vigil on my Guardian and wish I went Priory.
nope easiest way honestly, is just save some money from a few paychecks, and tada! you have twilight.
Yeah right. I absolutely hate the fact that some rich kid can basically buy a legendary….sure they need to grind out the karma and map completion but those are pretty fun. This gold grind is too much for me. I play quite a lot and don’t spend gold on much of anything anymore, and I’ve only managed to save 65g All the while, everything required to get a legendary keeps getting more and more expensive.
The stupid thing is, I really only want a legendary so I don’t have that greyed out area on my log-in screen taunting me :P
mmhmm I was in a guild where at least 20 people had legendaries and Tier 3 armor. I grouped with them in dungeons and they sucked horribly. Had people sending me tells being like why is this guy with Twilight suck so bad?
In in an overflow doing the event and Lionguard Demolistionist Tawel is stuck on the ramp leading down. We tried killing him and rezzing. He eventually resets runs down and stop on same spot. We have already cleared everything. Been like this a while.
