I would like to place an official request for a gem refund for the town clothes you removed from the game. I went and got them converted into endless tonics but as I can’t mix and match items like I used to these tonics are worthless to me and I would never have spent real money to buy them.
Items to be refunded:
Riding Boots
Khaki Shorts
Leather Hoodie

I’ve been reading through the posts here and I think that many people are missing something key here. The EotM update is designed as a way to tie WvW and PvE even closer together then they have been in the past. Anet has made it pretty clear that their desire is to see symmetry between all three game modes. Some ways they are making that happen are by making PvP rewards gold based instead of glory, carrying over skins from PvE into PvP, and adding more PvE elements to WvW (LS in EotM). This next update achieves that goal and fixes the issue of the WvW gueue problem as a bonus.
On the issue of Scarlet, she is undoubtedly annoying and most people find her worthless as a character. I think the biggest cause of this is the fact that players have no real vested interest in what she is doing other then how it effects their achievements or loot. With so much to do in GW2 its impossible to make new content overly expansive because you will run the risk of leaving players in the dust and therefore it has taken many many months just to find out the little we know about Scarlet. I think the reason the developers are convinced Scarlet will be a “good villain” in the end for us is because it will take the entire Season 1 of content for us to understand what has been happening.
If I may add my theory for what happens next. I think Scarlet’s motivations for everything will prove to have in the end been for the best of Tyria. Perhaps the next dragon to be revealed will need a new breed of hero to defeat and Scarlet will have laid the foundation for that with her combination experiments.
Need a sylvari you say…
Plot Twist: I bet the last member is Scarlet.
Could we get an official reply from Anet on this issue so I can stop holding my breath over it?

At A-net we have one question we must ask ourselves… “Does this sell gems?”
jomo, think about it, if you’re on the surface, the water may be refracting/reflecting light so you cant actually see into the water very well and you are trying to tread water
But I think you could still shoot at stuff on land or even have enemies come up the surface like Jaws…
They have an achievement track that finally gives us something to strive towords and all you can do is complain… lol
btw this is rediculous
As an added thought to Aradusm, what if you had different skills for on the surface as you do for underwater. I’ve always thought it was weird I couldn’t still fight once I broke the surface.
Sirsquishy, those ideas really put this problem in perspective for me. But could the game not just double it’s screen size with half being what we traditionally see and the rest being this new area I’m proposing? That way if you have two screens the overflow area is readily available for your windows in game, and if you have one monitor all you see is what we have always seen. In fact, you could have it expand in both directions so even people with three monitors could have extra space on either side of the character screen.
The map concept would be more challenging but maybe there is an option to set which half of the “screen” the map sits on. “Overlay mode” for on top of your character screen or “Side mode” for being shown on the extra space.
Actually, a stealth utility skill for rangers would be awesome. The way I would see it implemented though is “remain stealth while not moving.” That way you could have a pack of 5 rangers on a ridge all stealth like and then ambush a group. This would work in PvP situations really well but also could be used when out soloing PvE. I know there are a lot of times in Orr I wish I could just hide and let a big group walk by.
Plus doing it this way keeps it from being over powered in combat because you have to stay still. And it fits in with the whole wilderness survival theme of the ranger. Very cool!
So I was looking at the API available for GW and I think this idea could be implemented as a secondary program. The only problem is that each character doesn’t seem to have a way of sending out its data live… i.e. We can see all the map data but not where a character is on the map, or we can see item data but not which items are in your inventory or on your character. Unless I am missing something?
As a veteran GW2 player I have almost all of my Slayer achievements completed to the point where killing any individual monster over one of the ones I have left feels like a waste. So I was thinking what about making all the slayer achievements cycle like we’ve seen with several living story achievements. You don’t get more points for tiers after 4 but maybe every 500 or thousand kills you get a bag of coins, or a loot bag, or maybe a random mini of all the different slayer monsters?
What are some of your favorite Pet Names you’ve seen in the world. I love my pet shark:
Jawshua.
I read through most of this and I have to re-state that the Charr can’t jump. Have you ever tried to do a jumping puzzle with a Charr? Its like watching a worm try and go up stairs…

I agree that underwater could use an over-haul. But as far as movement goes, do any of you complaining have your “swim down” function mapped to a key yet? I love fighting underwater because its in 3-D. I swim up and down as well as side to side and back and forth all throughout combat.
Although I think I am a little bias because I have Frenzy as a zerker Ranger so I do crazy damage at range.
Somewhat along this line of thought I think it would be really nice to have achievements through the whole process of getting a legendary. Some "checkpoints I thought would be nice were:
*When you acquire any precursor.
*When you’ve achieved 77 mystic clovers.
*When you acquire each “gift of…” you get 5 achievement points.
*Then the process of turning each component into the final 3 pieces that go into the mystic forge.
I thought it would be fun to have the names of these achievements be like 1. “Legen-” 2. “Wait for it…” 3. “Wait for it.” 4. “Wait for it.” 5.“dary” 6. “Legendary”
What would be really awesome is if you could give your friends one of these as a gift. OR that you could make as many of these as you want through out your characters career as a way to kind of chronicle the different looks and stages of gear you’ve gone through.
Just got done reading the blog post and I am very disappointed. Since the original notice of a change coming to magic find they guaranteed the players that those who had spent their resources on magic find items would be compensated so as have a minimal disruption. I see no compensation. If all my magic find armor and weapons are going to become something else I want that magic find I had put towards the new system in some way. Because guess what, everyone who has magic find armor and weapons either:
1. likes their combo just fine the way it is and to add new stat combos to it will just throw their set off
or
2. Have a second set of armor that is used for situations where more heavy hitting stats are required.
Both groups are going to find themselves slack jawed and scrambling to figure out what to do with their now use less (and that is use less not useless) MF items. Please developers, consider giving a 1% to 10% bonus for each piece of modified equipment and weapon that falls under the “being changed to not have MF” either when it is salvaged or when it is converted to a new set of stats. Or at the very least make it so there is a guaranteed “essence of luck” gained by salvaging all items that once had MF on them. This way those that have cared about MF and spent hard earned resources to get it are not left out in the cold come Sept. 3.
I wish this idea would get the official response it deserves… Here is my thread:

LoreChief also had a thread on this as well that deserves another look:

I miss Rock, Paper, Scissors from GW1
You know what would be cool is if the recurring festivals like Wintersday and Mad King Thorne were to travel from city to city each year like the Olympics. So in 2013 maybe Hoelbrak could host the Wintersday festivities and MKT in Black Citadel.
How hard would it be to allow your second monitor to be a place you can put all the in-game windows. I was thinking maybe just a picture of a piece of parchment for the background and then you could drag any open windows over to it. This way you could have your inventory and your hero panel open all while you play without losing sight of whats going on. This would also be super handy to have the full screen map up on that monitor while you still play the game on your main monitor.
That’s actually a really nice idea. I’ll have to give that a try.
well that still leaves crafting materials and white items that could be classified as junk. I also like the idea of this same filter having a second purpose of making a way to multi-salvage many items at once.

Would it be possible to allow the tilde key to cycle to the next available element just like you use it to switch weapons? I play Ranger primary and use tilde non stop to keep my skills going smooth but with Ele I feel like I have to look down and make sure I hit the right F key every time I switch when really all I want is a new set of skills, any skills…
How about a right click menu on salvage kits that allows you to “Salvage all Junk” pre-defined in the “Junk Filter” proposed here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Sell-Junk-Filter/2714662
I agree with some of the other posters here. This would be a very nice option in both PVE and PVP as long as the death still holds the same weight as before:
Killer earns kill credit; including loot, XP, and Rally for allies.
The downed player earns broken armor and still has to wait on a re-spawn at checkpoint.
This is nice because it gives people a bit more control of how they handle being downed. And it makes it interesting because in some PVP situations the tactic of keeping someone downed so they aren’t in the fight as much can be countered.
You can buy as many books as many trait books as you want I thought?
I’d like to see a filtering system to define what you consider junk so that when you click “Sell Junk” at a vendor all items that match your pre-defined criteria get sold at once.
i.e. All blue items,
all green items,
all white items,
tier 1 materials, etc.
This way you can set it once for what you regularly vendor then just click one button when you come home to lions arch to unload your teh lootz!
When I start my Dailies I like to put the ones I am interested in doing on to my watch list. I am super thankful that the latest patch added the ability to re-order them manually but I feel like when an achievement reaches “completed” status it should either leave the watch list or at the very least go to the bottom of the list so it keeps the “to do” items at the top.
I agree, my standard mode of movement in GW was to select my ally I was going to follow and hit space. then I could sit back and manage inventory or swap items while I traveled to the next location.

This is definitely an improvement over the default view for me using a Dell 24-inch Ultrasharp monitor. I would also like to add a request for a new viewing idea of using a separate second monitor just for in-game windows. Perhaps have the background be simply a parchment image and then I could place my inventory, chat, trading post, etc. windows over on the second monitor full time. What this feature would really be nice for is having your map up full time while you still can see everything on your main monitor. Just an idea not sure how hard implementation would be.
