Hello everyone!

Mistforged Heroes [HERO] is looking for dedicated raiders during Mondays and Tuesdays 19:00 CEST.
We currently have 2 teams clearing the raid every week but one of them have been losing some players so we are looking for experienced players that know they are good to fill this team.
What we can offer is a very experienced raid guild with friendly attitude. Today we are just under 200 active members playing most content from PvE to PvP. We have raid training for non-experienced every weekend so if you are just looking for a training guild you may join us as well but it may be full during training. For the raid teams we have experienced commanders leading, I’m one of them.

My only requirements to join the weekly raid clear teams are the standard 200+ LI or Legendary Armor. You must know that you are good and not fail mechanics. (Like really you will be instantly kicked) If you play DPS you need at least 80% of QTFY benchmark.

Finished “Fearless” earlier today with full Berserker Revenant with Schoolar runes and used Hammer for heavy 1 hits and Staff for CC. Took about 7 minutes.

It might be that a recent Microsoft update overrode some of your personal settings. On rare occasion, when that happens, browser settings can conflict with each other.

As an aside: in the past, that used to impact whether someone could impact the GW2 trading post (which is, in the end, just a custom browser for a website). I think that mostly stopped happening when ANet changed to using Coherent UI.

If you have the time, Kruss, start a support ticket and include everything you’ve posted here: what you tried, what other people saw, and what finally fixed it for you.

These bugs are really hard to track down because they are dependent on just the wrong set of circumstances — your experience might help ANet ensure it doesn’t affect others (or at least, provide a viable work-around).

(If you don’t have time, I understand that, too. This thread will get passed on to QA regardless.)

Firefox doesn’t solve anything but it has more success where I first enter my character name but I cannot then select “View titles”, “View Minipets” and so on. Same as with character name it does not seem to respond when I press these icons.

Are you sure you don’t have some sort of browser plug-in that is interfering with the website? I’m still not having any trouble using a variety of sites. With Firefox, I have to press the button next to the search field; with Edge, I do not.

This is really strange, Just tried and didn’t work with Chrome then I downloaded Firefox just to try and it works on all browsers now. Edge, Explorer, Chrome and Firefox.

I tried on my phone (android) and I also tried with Internet Explorer, Edge and my main browse i use is Google Chrome all of them same error.

Tried with a different char name and it does not work either.

As title says the website for HoM doesn’t work, well the homepage works fine but the “Enter character name” box i bugged with a square around it and you cannot load any progress on my characters.

I don’t know if there is a thread about this already.

No I am not, there is a different shortcut that you walk on the clouds for (has a furniture shop too), however, Josh specifically said that Tribulation Mode paths are intact.

So I doubt it’ll help in Tribulation mode.

Yeah I think I know this one. Had to go there to kill some Assassins for the achievement.

Anyone knows if there is any shortcuts in zone 2? It’s so long! I know of one in zone 3 who takes you past cloud 2 if you go left instead of right from cloud 1.

The World 2 shortcut is right before/after the first bell bit… over the clouds, skips you to the icy section.

They could drop unique character names altogether and let you have whatever you wanted. The display name could simply be used for everything instead.

If you’re having problems finding a name even with a surname, you need to stop copying existing characters or using the most common of names and make one up yourself.

This is probably the best solution but from Anets perspective it would mean no more name change contract sales. In my suggestion veteran players such as myself would need to buy those things to change the names of characters.

Ironic since your imagination is lacking when it comes to thinking up new names, that is the bottom line here, you have the ability to make an infinite amount of different names and yet you want to make them tied to server because you cant spend 10-20 minutes to think up something good/unique. My suggestion is you spend some time doing just that, maybe you will even get good at it.

I have no trouble imagining names the trouble is that they are already taken. I make all my characters with first and surnames usually with a meaning behind them. But now when there is probably over 10 million characters on the servers even face rolling the keyboard will tell you the name is already taken. I’m glad if you or anyone else here are happy with the current system but I’m not and just wrote here to make my point.

I recently created a FTP account and had no difficulty coming up with a single word appropriate ‘irish’ name for a sylvari and a ‘fantasy’ first name and surname for a human.

Sorry but if you want to be Gandalf, Aragorn or any other popular name, you’re out of luck.

Nah other threads have been about taking from inactive accounts. The whole point of threads like this is to release more names so people have more options.

That is an entire different issue. Players shouldn’t have to switch server to enjoy WvW.

Valid point but I hope your imagination goes past that.

It’s really difficult to come up with names for new characters or change the name on an existing one.

I recently changed the name on one of my characters but the name was already taken so I had to settle with an accent on one the letters. Sadly this was a huge mistake as it makes it harder for other people to whisper me and use the squadjoin command. Thankfully I got help from the Anet support to change my name again.

As a lot of names are already taken even with addition of surnames etc. added to the name the chances are that is is already taken and you have to settle with a name you don’t enjoy and hard to remember etc.

My suggestion is to make names unique to each server. But hold it right there, Aren’t the game now using this mega-server system? Yes but what if you whispered, squadjoin or add a friend you will at first add the players on your home server. If you wish to add someone on another server with the same name you have to add the Server name before the character name. Like for example Server Name Character Name. Also if there would be another character with the same name there could be a drop-down list with the server name(s) before the character name.

This way it’s possible to release more names for people without removing names from inactive account even if I would prefer 3+ years inactive account should have their names released for others to use.

Thanks that makes sense. I always believed legendary skins unlocked upon crafting and not on equip/souldbind.

I just created the Incinerator in the Mystic Forge and it did not unlock the skin like it does with backpacks I crafted there such as Mawdrey or Prototype Fractal Capacitor. From what I heard skins are supposed to unlock when crafting a legendary but I guess I got the wrong information? Also if I buy Eternity off the TP does it unlock Sunrise and Twilight + precursor when I equip it?

Mistforged Heroes are a casual guild focused on having friendly and helpful members who likes to play much if not all content Guild Wars 2 has to offer. That means that we play World vs World WvW (World vs World), PvP (Player vs Player) and PvE (Player vs Environment) all together known as PvX. While representing the guild is optional we like to see you representing this guild as your main guild. That means it is OK to represent another guild while playing with them.

The name Mistforged Heroes comes from The Mists and the guild was created on 28th of April 2015. Today we have 470+ members and growing. Our Home server is Far Shiverpeaks but anyone is welcome to join, the home server is only used for WvW.

You will see us playing:

- Dungeons and Fractals both casually and hardcore.
- World boss events with the community.
- World vs World both roaming and in pug groups with out own commanders.
- Tournaments and guild parties in the Mists PvP.

I dont know if I should have made a new topic but I have the same problem now after installing Windows 10. Never had a problem Before with Windows 7. Also when tabbing out the Music becomes louder while cracking a bit if that makes any sense. I have not figured out a solotion for this yet and it only appears to affect Guild Wars 2.

I found this thread looking for a fix because I want a nomad amulet right now. Sad too see this have gone unnoticed by Anet for so long!

I helped other in less than 30 min with ease now. Ported them to every stash and the end ^^

And It was hard at first but when you know the path it gets easier. There are a lot of places where it can go wrong. Lots of precision in jumps required so don’t try to do this when lagging. A Mesmer helps a lot. Took us almost 3 hours to complete first try but it can probably be done in less than 1 when you know where to go.

This is still happening arrrg! Any idea when it will be fixed?

Our guild have already hit 100+ members after just 5 days. That’s an average of 20 members recruited per day! So far we have had WvW open raids on Far Shiverpeaks, killed Tequatl and Triple-Wurm several times with the GW2C and had people play dungeons, fractals and pvp together. About us

Mistforged Heroes is a brand new guild that just became a partnered guild with the GW2 Community. Our home server is Far Shiverpeaks but we welcome anyone from any server as long as you follow the Rules of Conduct set up by the GW2 Community and ArenaNet. The goal with the guild is gather friendly and helpful members and offer beneficial content for all all our members playing PvE, PvP and WvW. At the moment we are still in the structuring phase so we are recruiting both new members and staff for our guild. We are also upgrading so we can start playing guild missions and run permanent guild bonuses as soon as possible.

FAQ
Q: What kind of a guild are you?
A: We are an PvX guild that means we try to cover all parts of the game in PvE, PvP and WvW.

Q: Can you be more specific what you have to offer?
A: In PvE we like to play Dungeons, Fractals and open world content but we want people to play together more than once and by doing so the game will be more rewarding and fun. As soon we got a decent members count we also want to help in the more difficult open world bosses. In PvP and WvW we will be offering regular events such as tournaments and guild raids.

Q: I’m not sure if I should join a new guild how do I know the guild will fulfill their promises?
A: You don’t but to help in your decision our leaders have been playing since release and are planing to stay for many more years to come. Whatever what will happen they will not let the guild die because of inactivity from leaders. The point of creating our own guild was just because of this. However we could always use help if you are interested in guild management.

Q: Do I need to register on a website or something to apply?
A: We do not have our own website or application form since in previous guilds we saw little interest with people checking the website regularly or interest in filling in a application.

Q: How will we know when you are running events?
A: We will post them on a daily basis on the “message of the day” within the guild and our guild chat/whisper channel. When we got our own forums on GW2C we post our events there weekly.

Q: Do I have to represent the guild?
A: You do not need to represent but if you do it will help out the guild with upgrades we are currently building. When the guild starts getting full we will first kick inactive players and then non-representing players. If you got kicked you are welcome to join again.

Our ranks
Leader - The founders of the guild have all their rights.
Co Leader - Not currently used but these are used for leaders from other guilds or people with leader experience. If you are interested in merging your guild with ours contact one of the leaders and we can discuss further.
Guild Manager - Are a helping hand and gets to invite, promote and kick members. They also have rights to edit message of the day and handle guild upgrades. Their task is to help members if they want to invite a friend or activate a guild upgrade. This is only assigned to trusted or verified members with reputation.
Commander - Guild event leaders for example guild missions or guild raids. Commanders have right to activate guild upgrades, start guild missions and claim objectives on WvW. You will be required to own a guild tag and be able to use Team Speak for this rank.
Multiple Members ranks - We got several ranks which depends on the length of membership, experience and participation in the guild. You will start of as a Recruit and then Veterean and so on…
Guest - New members are placed here. They may check out the guild if they choose to stay they may immediately become a recruit after representing the guild for the first time.
Champion - Unique rank for those who have won PvP tournaments or other events.

I have almost 18K Achievements points and I try to never join these “4k+ AP and No ranger” parties because usually the ones hosting these parties are not very good so that is why they have those requirements.

From my experience if you want real good players in your party don’t type any requirements. Good players doesn’t care about that because they know what to do and can lead if they have to.

I saw some people running around anyone interested in joining my quest?

Is there any guild or active players in Guild Wars 1? I’m going to start playing again for nostalgia and finish some Hall of Monument awards.

If I were on FSP I’d be really annoyed that all the hard work they did overnight has been tainted by a few morons and people who joined in with the morons as there is no way to tell if the effort put in overnight wasn’t helped by hackers also.

So imho it’s hurts FSP more as from now on every victory will be tainted buy the actions of a few.

The very best thing to do is imho for people who witness hackers is just to back away and not exploit the gains made by hacking and to report them asap.

I don’t see how the hackers would effect much since there are so few if any they could even be AM. The people we had over night and this morning you guys didn’t expect that and it cost you. Also ther hackers you have haven’t tainted Gandara or AM when they fly hack and all that so to see Gandara wanna spin this to look like they won is pathetic.

Yes but that doesn’t make it right to paint the entire server as hackers every time they play better. We don’t do that when there are hackers on another server and neither should you, makes you look bad.

A lot of kitten people on the forums when FSP wins fair and square. Please transfer to our server to see if we promote hacking. SPOILER ALERT we don’t and we don’t like it when any other server members do it either. It’s bullkitten attacking an entire server because we got one hacker and everyone doing that should be banned.

I tried this build and it’s good. I played stun lock before Hammer/Mace and Shield. I feel like the Warrior is on a sweet spot right now, it’s fairly easy to use but I can outskill it fairly easy aswell with my elementalist. I have 5 champion classes and I think its a good build people hating it are just noobs sorry but that is the truth.

It haven’t been fixed, the game or shall I say the connection between client and server takes a terrible path resulting in a lot of packet loss. This is what I got of trying to fix the connection with the support for a few days.

We ended up with using PingPlotter to trace paths and noticed both my network, the ISP and the game servers doesn’t have any packet loss but the hops in the backbone to the servers had a lot of packet loss which result in lag and disconnects.

So I have to consulted my ISP to try and fix it, the NCsoft support also suggested to try a proxy to avoid these hops.

I think they should move their European servers to Europe instead.

I want to change my elementalist to a bad kitten Asura with the new mohawk hair style. I want to change my guardian into a Norn and buy the braham armor. I would also have to change their names to fit their new race.

Wow thats alot of money I’m gonna spend when the race change comes.

Been working now the past 2 hours, I will update tomorrow when when prime time is back again.

There is no plans for race change option yet, but it will probably come in the future along with a replay and reset story mode for exploring different paths. It doesn’t affect others, it adds replay ability and it’s money for Anet.

There is lots of posts already like this and in the future I suggest to use one of those

Sure is a fail from you, it’s pretty obvious he want to change his looks from whatever reason he may have. I don’t have to explain in detail do I?

Here is two error messages, there is also another one when trying to log in sometimes.

Okay, today I started playing before prime hours and made 2 dungeons without any problems. Quit the game and took a short break for about 30 min. Now when I’m trying play I get kicked constantly in less than 1 min. The last one just made the screen go black.

Edit: Sometimes get disconnect message and infinitive loading screen. When selecting character it sometimes “gray out” the play button a few seconds and goes back out to the start up program like it usually do when the game wants to patch.

I have a major problem that started today and it’s been really bad now during the prime time hours. Normally I only have skill delay during prime times but today I get disconnected by the server.

It says something about “The server timed out” and then quickly changed to “Client cant connect to log in servers” I’m in the character menu and can log back in but sometimes nothing happens and I have to force the game off.

Sometimes the game shuts off and downloads a random patch after selecting character. (This happened 2-3 times today)

I have used my knowledge as a IT-infrastructure specialist to try and troubleshoot the problem but I can’t find much other than the Servers are located in Texas (I live in Sweden) 250 ms delay and no packet loss. Network usage drops dramatically when the game is about to disconnect (or skill delay)

The IP-adresses GW2 client uses are 206.127.146.74 206.127.146.99 and 64.25.47.119
Other people doesn’t seem to have as severe problems as I have today.

Oh and I’ve checked my connection with my ISP, and monitored it on my own. Works like a charm in other games. 100/10mbits Fiber should be able to run this game alright?

Peak hour right now, I had to relogg because my skills would’t trigger in over 1 min. On average it takes about 10 seconds to use a skill at the moment.

Please fix it? My/our issues haven’t been resolved yet!

Been waiting for as long as I remember… been playing since release… Fix for action queues at peak hours… Playing tPvP when skill queues kicks in i horrible please fix your servers Anet!

They just announced new hair styles, even more reasons to be able to change race!

+1 No doubt it’s coming, its to much money to pass up, and not to mention the satisfaction it would generate.
