defrag your hdd.
It sound like you have a loading problem aka reading from a hdd
Thank you for this advice. Unfortunately, it did not rectify the problem.

Hello,
My game client used to run perfectly, there were never any issues. After the ‘Point of No Return’ patch however, I have daily issues. My game will randomly freeze (alt + tab will usually fix it), the client will crash on occasion when I am waypointing or changing zones, it will sometimes crash if I alt + tab during a loading screen, the screen will sometimes go black though I can still hear in-game sounds and music. This has become very frustrating, and would like to find a solution.
Thank you very much.
One of the rewards from the latest living story chapters is the exotic Forgotten Seal accessory. The thing is, it has no upgrade slot, rendering level 80 greens with a jewel upgrade actually better stats than this exotic piece. I’m just wondering if this was a mistake or on purpose, because it makes no sense for it to just NOT have an upgrade slot, unlike pretty much every other accessory in the game. Hopefully Anet fixes this? Because people with level 80 greens and an adequate jewel will have no use for this item.
That’s really weird, did you select your stats yet? Because mine certainly has an upgrade slot on it after selecting which stats I wanted.
I selected the stats already. Even according to the GW2 wiki, it does not have an upgrade slot.

The name of my spookiest character (my necromancer) is Zeletrix, and she desires the number 67.
I’ve had this occur on two characters. After purchasing new bags (from 8 slot to 15 slot), the compact bag option does not work. I provided a screenshot, though I don’t know how helpful that is.
Ideally, all the bosses should be dead within the span of 15 seconds when the kill order is given. If not, it gives people time to farm the “kill 50 of _” achievements. The only down time you should be experiencing is the time it takes to reorganize and donate to start the next encounter.
PS: I would have loved to see most of you try last year at the last gauntlet, when AOE were barely visible, when there was camera issues with the ceiling, when it cost gold to repair the armor and when changing your traits/builds also cost money. You’re in no position to complain this year after all these change. Not at all.
I did it last year no problem! Just Frenzy + 100b = gg.
Anyways, just like last year, I’m willing to help people by ANY means necessary.
You’re saying you did it with a greatsword warrior?
I’m all ears, how did you do it? Surely it wasn’t that simple?
Fear me or stomp against the wall and frenzy hb. nothing more to it.
endure pain to survive shadowfall.
I will try this as well. And I will laugh all the way to the bank if it works.

but minis should be something everyone can get
Maybe I’m mistaken but everyone can get it oO
Most of my frustration with Liadri is directed at myself and not the design. Most of the failures can be attributed to not dodging at the right or dodging when not needed, leading to endurance starvation. Sometimes I thought her Visionaries were too far to have been able to one shot me, but for the most part, my deaths were my fault. I’ve been running warrior rifle axe/warhorn for the bleed on the rifle, #3 axe skill for orbs, and the speed buff on warhorn. My build is 0/0/6/2/6. Any other tips people can give me. I feel like it’s doable, but alas, I haven’t beaten her yet.
try sw/wh and lb
you don’t need axe for damage, use traited wh for boon conversion and
cleansing ire. sw/wh for p1 and lb for p2.
she has so little hp that the burn and bleed from pin down is enough to kill her with plenty of time to spare.if you have enough adrenaline, just stay on lb and cleanse the cripple with f1,
if not switch and use wh +sw for vigor and leap to get out of
shadowfall and preserve a dodge.you can dodge shadowfall, just count 1-2-dodge, should be pretty easy after you get the hang of it.
good luck!
edit: most people i see fail do so because of wasted dodges.
don’t dodge to get out of shadowfall, that’s just wasted endurance.
if you find yourself in the middle of it, just dodge it alltogether which leaves you in a safe spot for the next shadowfall.
if you are at the edge of the aoe with time to spare,
don’t dodge out, just run.
I will try this, thank you for the tips!

I’m really glad this thread exists so that I can laugh at all the crying and complaining. The part that particularly makes me fall out of my chair is the “OBVIOUS bait and switch” part. XD
But anyway, just go to another city. To suggest that the extra time it takes to waypoint to another city or between a city and the Mystic Forge will result in loss of income is completely absurd and again, laughable. You probably could have waypointed 100 times between the Mystic Forge and DR or RS in the time it took to post this thread.

I posted a thread about it in the game bugs portion of the forums, but I was wondering how many other people were experiencing this bug. I have successfully completed the Aetherblade Elites event (where you have to kill the 5 elites) at least 4 times, however the achievement doesn’t unlock. I was on an overflow, but my server is Jade Quarry. Anyone else have this problem?
The event achievement “Aetherblade Broken” that involves killing the five elite Aetherblades in the Grand Piazza portion of the map does not seem to be popping for me. I have successfully completed this event at least 4 times, however I have not received credit for it. This occurred in an overflow, although my server is Jade Quarry.
2 hours, 2 wurm kills.
Congratulations guys! 2 weeks of hard raiding finally paid off! I want to thank all the commanders who were so dedicated, showing up everyday to lead. You guys were always positive, regardless if we were SOOO CLOSE or completely dropped the ball and messed up. Really glad I was there to see all the effort finally pay off.
Victory rave. :P
What is your choice? To level up by WvW or PvP or Pve?
There are many things to consider from there up.
The vast majority of my time in GW2 has been in PvE. I have yet to set foot in sPvP and have only skimmed the surface in WvW.
So I had an instant lvl 20 boosting scroll lying around (the ones you get in the mail from having a character for over a year) and decided to make an elementalist. Having played a warrior for a while (which I think is a pretty easy class to play, at least for a PvE guy like myself), I was instantly overwhelmed by the amount of spells and abilities I had and could switch to while in combat. Anyway, I was wondering if you experienced players could give any tips to someone just starting to play the profession. Like, which weapons do you recommend, which spell “combos” are effective (because switching attunements mid combat to create combos is probably how it’s meant to be played, right)? So far I’ve messed around with scepter/focus and staff. Are those any good?
Thanks.
Nope we still have fun =) Morale is still an all time high!
In that regard I’d like to thank the commanders. They’re always really encouraging and friendly. While we all might be frustrated after a failed attempt, they don’t let it get to them, which really helps the overall moral of everyone else. Also, they’re pretty cool and fun to talk to during downtime between attempts. I ran the wurm while in Jade Quarry and Blackgate TS, and the atmosphere was nowhere near as warming. They complain when stuff didn’t go well and they placed the blame squarely on the PUGs who “don’t understand the mechanics” (despite not having even attempted to explain any of the mechanics). Perhaps that was a one off time when everyone was tired and frustrated, but I gotta say, rolling with TTS really makes this fight (and all the waiting) significantly more enjoyable.
Congratulations Deso! I’ve been running with TTS and I gotta say that wurm is a tough motherkitten, but you guys did and for that you deserve a huge applause.
I think Anet should adopt a similar “Feat of Strength” system in which it stores data such as “first to kill ____” and what not. Makes these kinds of events all the more sweeter.
This is probably my biggest criticism of GW2. For all the epic monsters I slay, I sure don’t get any epic loot. I don’t expect to get an ascended item on the first drop. Hell, I don’t even expect to get one on the 100th drop. But getting random blues and greens after killing a mighty foe is kinda disheartening. One of the things I enjoyed in other MMOs was that every time I ran a dungeon or world boss, I was always excited by the prospect of getting a sweet piece of loot. In GW2, I don’t even bother. Perhaps I’m being whiny, but it just never seems like you are never sufficiently rewarded for your effort.
Other than that, I’m so far enjoying the new patch. The boss fights are difficult but interesting.
7/10
I feel like a charr striking their superior officer, considering their strict military discipline, is not only unlikely, but also severely punishable. But I guess every unit has a rule breaker.
Tyberious Lionscar – warrior
Loyal soldier of the Iron Legion. The name Lionscar was given to him for the ferocity he fights with, like a lion, as well as his thick mane. Among the legion, his warband is known as “the Lion’s Pride”. “scar” comes from his prowess with his blade. No foe is left unmarked.
Let’s see some of your sweet screenshots. This is my favorite one so far.
Where is that taken from?
You know the centre of the map, where the little chapel thingy is on top of the hill? If you go on the right side of the chapel and look north, you’ll see them.
Yup, you can do dailies instead of the PvP achievement. That’s what I did. It’s not that it’s particularly hard, it’s just that the dailies are so easy that you don’t even have to bother going into WvW or arena to do it.
Was guesting on Crystal Desert, didn’t get the achievement for killing the Candy Corn Viscount.
I understand why they wouldn’t make the Emissary of the Mad King achievements available again, so that those who got it last year had something unique to show off, but I’m surprised they didn’t bring back the Master Carver achievement. I personally got both last year, so I’m not affected, but I’m still a bit surprised.
Sometimes when I’m walking around Lion’s Arch, I see people with sweet armor sets. While most people are friendly, sometimes when I whisper someone about their armor set, I get less than kind responses. Would it not be easier on everyone if there was an option to “inspect armor” when you right-click on someone’s character slate? You right click and then you see their gallery with all their armor and accessories and whatnot.

Hopefully this isn’t too off topic, but what is the reward for completing all the TA achievements (17/17)? Wondering if it’s worth bashing my skull against a brick wall to do it. :P
Mini clockheart; personally when I got this pet I felt it was nowhere near as good as mini liadri… It has no special effects (like Liadri’s mouse over death shroud), looks like gravel (easily blends with the ground and hence hardly noticeable), and cannot enter water.
I THINK the only thing special about it over the mini oakheart is that it makes a rare grunt animation, but I could have been imagining things when I used it.
Hmm, might worth doing. I already got 10/17 in one run. Presumably the rest are pretty hard to get.
I decided to make a charr warrior, mostly because I thought they visually looked really cool. So far I have found it to be really boring to play. Any suggestions on weapon builds that are fun? I almost exclusively play PvE, although I’m not apposed to the idea of dabbling in PvP/WvW.

I’ve experienced lots of bugs during the fight too. Like half the floor is non-stop electrocuted before we even walk into the room, or he starts with 30 stacks and AoE smacks you as soon as you step into the room. Gotta weed out the bugs for this guy for sure.
I though the dungeon was pretty tough. Lot’s of coordination (which isn’t bad) is required, but man, that final boss eats you for breakfast. Beat him on the first run, but could not do it a second time. Lots of glitches, like half the floor is electrocuted before the fight even starts, or he has 30 stacks and does his massive AoE as soon as you run in (don’t even have a chance to get out of the way. Definitely need to sort the bugs out for that fight. It was really fulfilling to finally beat him, but after an hour of getting my skull smashed in by the final boss, getting only greens and blues as a reward left a bad taste in my mouth. Spending 2 and a half hours on a dungeon and getting nothing notable in return kinda dampened my enthusiasm. At least I got a cool back skin though.
Overall, pretty fun dungeon, and as it becomes more familiar to people, I suspect it will be easier to complete, but I probably wouldn’t do it again for a while.
One achievement away from the Sunbringer title (Flawless Defense). I enjoyed the event, but after doing it a bunch of times, I’m a bit burned out. I’ll probably do it again some time, event after I get the title, but I don’t think there is a huge incentive for people to farm this guy, considering how much coordination it takes an the seemingly little return. Still, I liked the event.
Here’s a picture of it, but it could be shopped, I dunno.

Didn’t think you could find him in his watery depths. Very cool.
I dunno about you guys, but I’ve always enjoyed being able to compare my character/stats against my friends. For example, when I once played World of Warcraft, I loved looking at my own characters and friends on the WoW Armory. You could see what gear they had, what achievements they had unlocked, what guild they were part of, their professions, etc. So I guess what I’m saying is, it would be cool if Anet were to implement a way to look at people’s Hero tab outside of the game.
Last time I checked, TTS had 6.
YEAH! Both TTS overflow1 and 2 groups killed Tequatl at the same time! The most fun I’ve ever had with a guild.
WE DID IT! 2nd day of attemping on the 2nd attempt of the day WE DID IT WE 3.30minutes LEFT in an OVERFLOW! YES!

VIDEO COMING TOMORROW!
Sweet, just accepted the guild invite and can’t wait to slay this mofo!
Dude, that sucks hard man. I’ve tried the fight 3 times so far, haven’t even reached the 75% phase. Oh well, just gotta keep trying.
My weapons are yours! Invite please.
I want to beat this dude. Invite please!
You can use them for tonics. Assuming you build 2 minis, you’ll have enough cogs to craft tonics from the other 3 frames (you need 50 of each mat if I recall correctly).
There is an invisible building somewhere. If you use AoE spells, chances are you’ll hit it while destroying other buildings.
I’m curious to see whether we’ll be able to get more cogs after Tixx settles in LA until January 3rd. Right now people can only make 2 minis. Kinda hoping I can make all of them, but cogs are account bound.
I actually had no idea that if the leader leaves, it kicks everyone out. Fortunately, I’ve never been the party leader.
Then again, there have been several times were I was the last person in the dungeon and I never got kicked….
Mine is by far the griffin plushie, followed by probably Toy Golem. What is your favorite toy mini?
