Only tried about 5times so obviously I haven’t had enough time to get it right, but it does seem easier than the Clock Tower, which is fine by me since I wasn’t able to complete it. It doesn’t help that my mouse it messed up which makes it harder, but that’s my problem, not ANets. I’ll take another crack at it when I have time, and report back.
How do you get 0? Are you clicking the buttons when the notes hit the white circle you’re standing on?
Your guild sounds pretty cool. I’m a pretty casual GW2 player. Sometimes I’ll binge on it for like a week, sometimes I won’t log in for two weeks. It really depends on how I’m feeling (as well as how busy I am). “Do I want to play some GW2? Or TF2? Or maybe some Battlefield 3?” I’m that kind of a guy. Would my non-dedication to the game fit with your guild? Or are you looking for more active players who will log in consistently?
I saw my friend’s Asura necromancer and decided it looked prety kitten, so I rolled one myself. really like mine. Black with white facial markings, large floppy ears.
How is this even a complaint? You’ve mad because you didn’t get a piece of the loot pie? That’s you’re fault, not Anet’s (even if you had a good reason not to be online like being at work). People were complaining that last event’s (Mad King) loot was crap. Now they give us some good stuff and you’re complaining? “I didn’t get it so nobody should get it!” You’re being silly. Get over yourself.
(Not that this is coming from someone who DIDN’T get a precursor)
So people with real life commitments should be left out and it’s their own fault? The event should have repeated for 24 hours but made so you could only open the chest once per account.
Pretty much. Anet announced the times of the events in advance, and if you can’t make it, tough luck. Should they in the future make the event every 3-4 hours? Sure, but at this current point in time, if you missed it, that’s your problem.
Whine whine whine. This is the extent of your post. You didn’t get a precursor (neither did I), cry some more.
Yeah…if it’s a rare it’a a rare item…if they give them to everyone is not supposed to ben rare…
Only everyone didn’t get a precursor. The vast majority of GW2 players didn’t play the event for whatver reason (not online, had work, simply didn’t feel like it), and even from those who did play, the chance of getting it was 15%. So it’s still a rare item.

We got a new dungeon and zone, along with some pvp maps. That’s a pretty big change. What more we you expecting?
You didn’t get a precursor, big deal. This sense of entitlement is ridiculous. Stop whining or stop playing the game.
2 rares and 2 exotics, a 20 slot bag, and a precursor if you were lucky.
Just a few pictures I made after getting roflstomped by karka. Think of something better? Post it here.
1. Victory screen cap
2. The Karka making their stand
3. KARKA ANGRY, KARKA SMASH!

I get why you’re mad, but you’d expect that the finally would be the one where all hell breaks loose and some epic kitten goes down, hence resulting in good loot. Do I think there should have been better loot for the first 2 phases? Yes, but not as good as loot from the finally, because it’s THE FINALLY.
Also, learn to dodge. I’m not trying to come across as an ?sshole, I’m just saying that it’s a helpful tactic in this particular fight.
Aww, you can’t see yourself? Cry some more. It’s suppose to be difficult. If you don’t like it, simply don’t do it. It’s not like it’s a requirement to progress in the event.
Keep it difficult, it adds a challenge. Were you expecting walk into uncharted territory and steamroll over every opponent you met? Ya, that’s what happened when we had 50+ guys doing the phase 2 event for the first time, but after that, it SHOULD be difficult. Considering these things attacked the great city of Lion’s Arch, they obviously pack a nasty punch.
He’s been removed rom the game along with the other two NPC related to this quest.
They removed this quest from the game.
Peacekeeper Saballa was bugged for me, and thus I wasn’t able to complete the quest. It’s pretty infuriating when you spent all that time trying to get the other stuff, and logging in periodically to see if the bug was fixed, only to have them remove it completely as opposed to actually fixing the problem. Hopefully they re-implement this quest, but I doubt it. Anet doesn’t seem to budge in terms of this kind of stuff.
Not sure if this is the case on every server (I hear he’s still bugged on some of them), but on my server (Jade Quarry), you simply have to wait a few minutes and then he’ll turn red and therefore attackable. After you’ve killed him, talk to him and you’ll get the Southsun Cove map piece. Hopefully this helped, because I’ve seen a lot of confusion as to whether he is still bugged or not.
Cannach, Jade Quarrey
Good advice IMO. Constructive and well articulated. Thanks for this!
Did you try doing the puzzle starting from where you are in the third screenshot?
But ya, that sucks. Hope you get it fixed.
So, you expect me to waddle all the way to a Level 50 area on an underlevelled alt to get the items required for the Halloween centric gift just because my main cannot give it to my alt?
Yes, yes they do. Deal with it.
You’re talking as if it’s bad that it’s hard to do as a lower level. Firstly, it’s definitely possible to do as a lower level (I did it as a level 30), and secondly, it adds to the challenge. Instead of strolling your way over to the objective, you need to be careful and smart about it. That’s what makes it fun.
Is it difficult? Yes. Does it make me mad that I can’t get passed the wall crumble part? Yes. But that’s the point. It’s SUPPOSE to be hard. I saw a dev comment on a Youtube video saying he thought only 5% of the people would finish it, and was surprised to see completion video within the first 2 hours of act 2 being released. Plenty of people like the challenge, but if you don’t that’s your problem. There’s a reason why Anet didn’t make this achievement part of the Emissary of the Mad King overall achievement.
It’s quite difficult, but I assure you it is possible to do at a low level. Chances are people are trying to do the quest too, so let them run ahead and you follow behind.
You realize you are scaled up if you are too low a level to take on the Mad King, right? I did it on my level 33.
As for the scavenger hunt, it is kind of frustration to do on a low level character if you’re going for the pages in the higher level areas, but it’s still doable and not super hard.
Great video, gave me a good laugh. I guess you can say you really are the Emissary of the Mad King.
