wasnt worth it to me honestly, testing everything in full cleric… coefficient was meaningless… not even worth building healing power

I say no to giant pets. It covers up your enemies and makes it impossible to see what is in front of you.

To be blatantly honest…. We are entering a giant sized overgrown jungle that is floor is so far down…

Let alone we haven’t set foot in the jungle for how long?

I would like to argue that these creatures should not ever be restricted to being full grown at knee-height.

I would like varying sizes of pets, such as the Giant Bristleback <3

@Irenio,

Thanks for being willing to change the coefficient and usefulness of healing power.

However, since we are extremely limited for dps and already extraordinarily low on damage…..

Please let our damaging abilities scale better for us building healing power.

Kill The Zerk Meta, by giving us better bonuses TO NOT USE ZERK pls

Hopes are with you

Druid and Healing Power Scaling

I would actually enjoy it more if our damage output was focused primarily on our Healing Power and Power stat combined =/

Why is Druid so squishy?

in Ranger

Posted by: Kailee.8790

Kailee.8790

Druid lacks significantly more damage with staff, the entire kit was based around 1 thing and 1 thing only. Don’t expect to do near as much dmg to keep your sustain up. Aside from that, healing scales extremely poorly. (<5% on most skills for healing power)

Exactly as Skitz said, none of the others were exclusive to 1 thing only

Thats like since they wanted to bring back tanking a little bit

The tank class should have 1-2 actual dmg abilities (low dmg) but everything else draw aggro with 0 dmg… It just makes the option worthless

Option on solar beam….

How bout the heals are not given directly to allies within the beam but create an aoe burst around the target for healing.

If the healing was burst around the target it would be seemingly a message of “Kill this one now”

Agreed, with the negatives sadly enough.

Its not strictly Irenios fault however….

We have other devs spitting in and smashing our cake when it starts to look semi decent.

Druid need more potential of doing damage, but overall massive buff to healing power scaling on all heals

So healing power...

A shout/banner warrior actually gets something from healing power, you can double those heals by getting 1000 healing power.

Though there are other heals that only see a 15 – 20% boost from 1000 healing power.

And here the druid sits with 2.5-5% healing power scaling on their skills…

The elite specs are comically overpowered.

I think Anet’s going to have to boost the HP on all the bosses for Druid to see any use in old content. also the mechanics in most of the old content is too simplistic to really require constant healing, if the Druid did more dps on staff and burst healing in celestial form it wouldn’t be so bad.

Fully Agree with this,

aside that the healing #’s need better scaling with healing power… 2.5% scaling is pretty meaningless

I agree with Kidel, if they want druids to be healers… and with the current heals/stats thy are given…

Other classes need to lose a SIGNIFICANT amount of healing potential. Scale the dps output to the potential healing. Lots of Dps/Limited to no heals…. and vice versa

The idea to make the Druid a part of the meta by making it a heavy healer is an interesting idea.

Interesting, but fighting them and seeing what they can do, that’s apparently not what it does best… At least not in WvW. The Druid as is can insta-kill any class. No healing will ever be needed lol.

A druid can’t insta-kill any class…

Yes they can lol. I have no idea how they do it – I havent played them. But I have seen druid insta-kill people from full HP. Its some type of pulse attack that does 4K damage each. But hey at least its balanced by 30K killshots, hah!

The beta weekend gave me a real feel of p2w… You’re going to need HoT to compete, no question about it.

On my full zerker power ranger glyphs can do 4k damage, only two glyphs are able to do that, so its 2 skills that do 4k each. Still not one shooting someone. Mind you also you have to lose a bit of defense utilities to pick up these glyphs so the ranger will be at a disadvantage. Furthermore, at only a range of 300 these glyphs will miss relatively easily.

Kitty don’t forget, he is talking about druid…. Druid who has overall less dmg output than a ranger and less dmg skills overall

Berserker spec, how it should have been.

I agree with Ohoni, its the problem im seeing atm

I tried a full cleric set w/staff, healing was moot. The healing coefficient (ratio) on most of the heals is so insignificant it makes Healing power worthless.

If they wanted druids to be healers, it wouldnt be as such… and if they wanted us to do damage… WE WOULD NEED MORE DAMAGING ABILITIES

…If this was easy, then we need a massive overhaul on dps for the druid…

I went full cleric with staff… it took ~2-3+ minutes for 1 veteran beetle… I just press 1 and alt tab

Beetles are immune to damage depending on where you attack them from.

well they would rotate and spew stuff from their rears, but I have smacking it from all around, still feel like this laser pointer is a laser pointer

Also these beetles are “tanks” so..makes sense..a healer specialized specializiation fighting a tank seems kinda awkward eh? but yes druid needs a upgrade to damage maybe, go to the ranger forum and give feedback ^^

well the thing was, damage was pretty much the same across the board everything I fought in the jungle… Doesn’t really matter what it was… it was always 200-300 per tick for staff 1

Also, have been… I just didn’t quite see how the Difficulty has been reduced mainly because Druid was not released yet

300?…LOL that is low..like laughably so..as the guy who above you posted dps is garbage apparently..but again…its a healing spec..its ment for group healing..not dps..but yeai think dmg should scale abit higher…300 lol

Yea I know 300 is laughably low… aside from cleric stats being “Healing Power, Power, Vitality (i think vitality, may be toughness)”

In Addition the Staff 1 procs like 1x every 1.5 seconds, I’ve been able to put 12x that damage with a ranger using all my skills/boosts consistantly

No, the hitbox is still the same, and I don’t think we have the capability to aim vertically

Beyond the obnoxious look/aesthetic it would be horrible to fight with this thing blocking screen.

Well as a tiny sylvari, I have to look at norns, charr, etc… they are too big and block my screen and targeting… does that mean they will remove those races for being too obnoxious and blocking my screen

Yes they are removing norn/charr because you wanted super sized pet left in that is clearly bugged.

Don’t read into it that much, I was stating how the Bristleback isn’t as much as an eyesore as you take it to be. Aside from the fact its very temporary and not an indefinite buff

Druid has abysmal healing ratios

Base Heal Scalings are all 5% or less on Healing Power, only 1 skill uses 100% of the healing power for its ratio…

Healing Power is pretty much worthless on a class that is intended to be a HEALER

The legendary Wyvern Fight in my honest opinion was amusing but extremely disappointing as playing a druid for it… Most of the time I felt as if I were drawing on the dragon with a laser pointer (damage was meaningless and extremely low) aside from that it became mash wisp whenever it was up…

When that got boring I ran around jumping and talking in chat as other classes were dead in the wyverns flames… just chatting til i could pick them up.

But all in all, yes… pet was dead 95% of the time
