I like the optimism shown by people when talking about the barrier… However, there is an issue : the decay of this barrier.

It looks to start decaying after 2s and will be gone after another 8s. Gaining more barrier resets the 2s timer.

Now what if we could get Vital Persistance trait (I think) To slow the decay of the barrier..

Power necro never had a place to begin with; not in pre-HoT dungeons/fractals and certainly not after in raids but fractal groups nowadays seem more flexible than before so…

power necro can’t compete for dps slots, even non-meta builds like power engi are more worthy of the slot

brings almost no utility or unique buffs even with blood magic traited

brings no boon support that isnt already covered better by other meta picks

deathshroud even works against your pug healer trying to heal u. a class mechanic that everyone is so envious of that locks you out of utlities and healing….thanks but I’d give up in an instant to u if given the chance

it doesnt matter what buffs power necro receives to its worthless power weapons or outdated damage traits, it will not compete for that dps role slot. ele/thief/guard and even rev would always be a better pick.

people already know all of this, it has never changed since release so stop asking for power necro buffs it wont happen. you would only hold your group back by rolling power necro. there is nothing for you to offer and might as well just sell the last spot instead of using power necro

You would only use power reaper for cosmetic purposes and to look pretty to gaze at standing afk in DR.
roll an ele and obey the meta.

Rampager is the easiest to get though. Not that it matters when it comes to min/maxing but if on a tight budget, rampager gear can be obtained through dungeon tokens. I mix Rampager/Valk on my reaper & I like the results.

Here’s what I’m running, not saying it’s by any means optimal but I like it for solo/PuGs in the Jungle.

Summary is a GS/Staff Curses/SR/Reaper. Armor is a Rampager/Valk mix with Berserk+Valk trinkets. Condition damage food With Energy/Force Sigils for the GS & Corruption/Earth on Staff

I started to play around with Rise & Death Magic as well which produced some decent results ( as well as being pretty fun in the Jungle ) I think I’ll stick with this alternative for now until I can work out something different. Any input is welcome.

Aww I actually like my Traveler runes on my Rampager set. Mostly because im going celestial trinkets too lol. There are probably much more optimal builds but it’s what I still had on my Necro & it works for me.

I use Primordus & it works just fine so I don’t see why it wouldnt

Not a Sinister Reaper, but in the same ballpark I feel like. I’m bringing back my old Necro with the new expansion so I’m still running Rampager gear with Celestial trinkets. (no rings yet) I’m thinking about rolling with this come launch so any thoughts are welcome as well.

I won’t claim to be a Pro, I enjoy playing my Ele though. I didn’t go for a full Beserker, I subbed in some Cavalier, with a little Vitality from Ascended trinkets instead. a 0/6/0/4/4 D/F build that I use, I pug most of my dungeons so the little boost in survivability for when things go south, while still having pretty good damage suits me.

I’m 30/20/0/0/20 on my Hybrid. Was originally 30/25/15 but I switched for Near To Death (lowers DS cooldown) Scepter/Dagger Axe/Focus. Loving it so far, survivable & pretty good damage. I went with Rampager armor with Undead Runes (to poor for Divinity Runes) I might switch to Travelers still debating, Celestial jewelry. Still working on getting my 2 rings, once I do get them I might switch back to get Target the Weak.

I love my Axe/Focus on my Hybrid. If your running close to death you can wear them down by stacking bleeds with scepter/dagger then focus #4 > axe #2 for some good damage at range. Never really ran Daggers though. Not that fun to me

You sure it’s fixed? It just say +6 Condition Damage, not 6%. Just want to make sure before I do purchase one

I just figured out that this worked about a week ago, really fun & effective combo on my Engi. I usually try to go Napalm at my feet> Acid Bomb> Elixir F > Rocket Boots> Flame Blast > Jump Shot > Blunderbuss. Can scoop up 9 Stacks of Might and a Fire Aura, plus a good bit of damage if I do it right.

Hmm…good idea. I have my mouse buttons mapped but changing one to the #1 grenade might be a good idea. I wish we could save mapping per character.

I have ` (weapon swap default) bound to my Grenades (Utility 1) Auto attack with the first side button, E Gun to the second button, & Utility 3 bound to C. Push To Talk is clicking my mouse wheel. It’s really not that bad switching between characters because then all I have to do is change weapon swapping back to the ` key

That’s what I’ve been looking at right now, just got to 80 & starting to get exotics. Switch out the elixir for the situations at hand as well as swapping between Healing Turret & Med Kit depending on if you need the extra party healing.

Also I went and picked up a $28 wireless Logitech with two side thumb buttons from Wal-Mart which has helped enormously with the auto attack with grenades.

I’m only 72 on my Engi so I’m by far no expert but this is something I was planning.
