i managed to pass through the bug

the difference compared to my 1st playthough:
- 1st play i do whisper way, 2nd play vigil play
- 1st play chked all rooms, 2nd play no need
- 1st play did the chandelier achievement, 2nd play still did it, though achievement already got on 1st play. 2nd time got little bit difficulty to get it down, getting many “blocked”
- 2nd play skip the cutscene

follow dulfy guide, jump from the highest point
break the ice surface, but die in the water, achievement not obtain

try the other dive point in the center, can’t break ice surface

i got this from the recent patch, about lvl 80 boost package

is this “shared inventory slot” permanent? or only for that boost package purpose?
if it is permanent, is there a way i can arrange/sort it like other bags?

it mess up my existing inv placement.

whenever there is a download, typically i will chkout the patch release thread

i noticed many updates are ~just (1 item)~ “fix server crash”

eh, if u fixing something wrong on server side, why client need to download patch?

isn’t this something should just be a server-side thing, no change about client at all?

or the patch release note has becoming ~simplify~, just sum up whatever fixes as “server crash” ?

These “new” changes, are actually “fixes” to the broken ranger.
“Fixes” should been delivered through patches.

my main is a Ranger. I get this disfavour-Ranger feel when attempting higher level of fractal 36+

from I gathered, the despise is on relying on LongBow, which is a dps-broken weapon.

I have switched to short-bow, I suggest you try the same.

I’m playing from south-east-asia, my isp is Telekom, using fiber broadband
the connection to US generally is no issue, when doing http://www.pingtest.net/
its around 200-350, test against Denver

knowing from somewhere that this game is hosted in Texas, the ping test to Dallas TX, sometime can be very bad, even with pocket drop
the ping can go up to 800

but pinging Denver is still around 200-350

I used a trialware ping plotter at 1 time, to ping your game server
64.25.33.51
64.25.40.116

I dunno how accurate is this software, but it show to me that packet drops at databank site, I guess its your isp.

this laggy connection doesn’t happen all time, generally 75% of the whole day is ok, but at time, it really asking to me stop playing this game.

is arena not paying their internet bill on time?

Harpies are “Elite” mobs, which have been stated to need a small group of players to kill, so it’s not like you are supposed to solo through them!

You didn’t fail your job if you damaged the harpies or gave your team some buffs or support!

I’m not suggesting to make it soloable.
I’m saying this encounter is very specific class skill dependable, without that particular class and skill, the challenge becoming frustrating, in term of time and money for repair. and repairing in fractal mist is not convenient.

a class skill should make a challenge easier compare to those without that skill.
but for this encounter, it become worst.

need better tab targetting

your current tab targeting, always target the highest level, which is not desirable in many situation.
- when we need to clear mobs without aggroing the boss, accident is very easy to happen.

I suggest this approach of tab targeting:
it will priority from those in front of what the viewpoint is visible, from nearest to further reachable. this is generally like what-u-see, what-u-want.
ppl generally don’t want target something out of sight, as we already have target marking, which we can just placed on the boss easily.

does damage increase also affect crit dmg?

crit dmg = base dmg * 1.5
= 50% extra dmg

say, I put in a mod/buff that increase my dmg by 10%
does this also increase my crit dmg by 10%?

story:
my norm dmg = 100
add in a mod that increase 10% dmg
so my dmg = 110
my crit b4 the mod is 150
after the mod = 110 * 1.5 = 165 ?
therefore 15+ crit dmg = crit dmg +10% also?

you’re not supposed to skip them by yourself nor kill them all by yourself, its a thing for 5 people, those skills are helpfull in a group, so if all the refelcts, blocks or group stability is down you can use your reflect or your personal stability so you don’t get knocked down.

You don’t only have to learn to play your class but also point out to other clueless party members that they can help making it easy, it’s not kittence you get the hang of it.

if this part required “coordination” of 5 ppl to pass through it, it should be a boss challenge part, not on the mobs.
and this coordination practically won’t work properly.
times that I can get past it, is when I don’t need to execute any of my “ranger” skills over this, but other class is doing it.

so, if it really required party coordination, then we shouldn’t be able to pass through it at all, because I failed execute my part properly! but yet we still can get through?
is it because there are certain class specific skill practically overcome this challenge single-handed?

the typical game challenge that required “proper” and “precise” group coordication, is something you found in game like WoW, especially when u doing a raid.

afaik about this game, the design is not to bother with this “strigent” raid-like-type coordination.

it is very obvious, this part has a design flaw, it need a fixup.

2 weapon sets are not enough.
as you putting in more contents, mean more challenges, more different tactics required.
the old 2 weapon sets no longer enough and convenient for these challenges.

give us more weapon setups, preferably put in something like “spec”.

I’m playing as Ranger.

Hunter Shot only make you invisible, for 3 sec. you can’t stay invi forever. it won’t help you avoid the launch.

Whirling Defense provides about 4 seconds projective reflect, and it got a long cd.
it’s an off hand Axe skill. practically, you need to play melee to use it, and only will save you 1 time.

Rampage may help -a bit-, its about 20 sec effect stability, and with a long cd as well.

how these can practically help to pass through a about 10 harpies?

I did try used Rampage attempt to ignore all the mobs jump to top. it won’t work. u in combat, u speed is slowed, the rampage won’t last u that long.
and my problem that time is, all harpies targeting u, can’t even survived many platform hops.

the design is flawed, it need a proper fix or tuning.

there is a map where need to jump and fight through a bunch of harpies, and they have launch effect.

this make the challenge very specific-skill dependent.
either remove the launch effect, or make the launch take longer to cast, so the challenge will be more viable, as player can have proper time to jump away.

the problem is without the proper skill, players will just keep knock out of the platform and die.

there is no fun for this phase, not even challenge.

mouse look without holding right button

in game, to change where the toon is moving forward or facing, need to hold down the right button.
u will find out u need to do this action most of the time in game, thus it making my finger pain.

give us a feature, where we can toggle mouse look as full time on, just like holding the right button, but without physically need to do it. less pain on my finger.
