Hello everyone, i hope you are having a great time. I took a long break when HoT came and im thinking about coming back to the game. Some people say a new expansion might be coming… Is HoT worth buying for WvW or casual pve ?

So i have been away for 6 months from the game and i used to play mainly WvW. I Farmed Juggernaut for my warri but i wanna do more WvW with my main, Engi. Whats the main builds engi are playing right now on WvW? Power/Cond? 1500 range nadeS?

anyone with Human Heavy arah + t3 mix to see the look ?

Hi Chris! First off ty for looking into this. I can say with complete confidence that I took note of my main characters rank before the update (rank 941) as I knew I wouldn’t be able to play again until after the update due to health issues.

I was curious why I had no reward chests at all awaiting me once all was tallied up. I play a lot of wvw and haven’t used my alts too much in this regard as my main was much more useful with all those points in abilities.

Here’s what I’m seeing for your WXP totals (I’ll use the first letter of each character’s names, in case you don’t want their whole names displayed here):
A few days before the 4/15 update

• I.S. — 13,374 WXP (Rank 5).
• M.T.F. — 336,570 WXP (Rank 70)
• P.A. — 4,544 WXP (Rank 4)
• P. — 1,053 WXP (Rank 2)
• V. — 4,312,864 WXP (Rank 865)

A couple of days after the 4/15 update (only changes listed)

• V. — 4,351,360 WXP (Rank 873)

If the first sample’s values were all summed, you’d be at Rank 934 for your account. From the second sample, Rank 941. The only time you should’ve seen a Rank above 900 is after V. and M.T.F. were summed. So while I don’t know how a Rank above 900 could’ve been seen prior to 4/15 (maybe there was a brief display bug), your WXP totals look right. Assuming you gained 38,496 WXP on V. between those samples (8 Ranks).

What about people with loads of chests?

There was a bug with the 4/15 release that gave out pending bonus Rank-gain chests to some players erroneously. We didn’t intend to change the number of these pending bonus chests for anyone, since they were already account-bound and acting as we wanted. In a recent hotfix, the chests were given both soft and hard caps.

• The pending bonus chests granted after a WvW match ends now cap at 99.
• Existing chests are now capped at 250. Any extras beyond that cap are discarded.

So why do i with rank 290+ have 0 chests and some people with 300+ have 250? Because they created new chars and i didnt? thats the only explanation i have

im pretty sure i had more ranks since im here from the begining and some of them arent.

Are you seriously complaining about only having 250 of your bugged 560 bonus chests left?

They should have reduced all (exploitably) bugged chests to zero and then added negative bonus chests for all already opened bugged bonus chests.

Why do i have 0 chests with rank 300 and some guildies with 320 have 250? is it because they created new chars before the patch ?

What about people with loads of chests?

This bug affecting time-gated features has been addressed as of today’s hotfix. If you are being affected by it, you will need to log in to this build before the next reset of that time-gated feature. At the next reset for that time-gated feature it will reset properly.

I still dont get dungeons chests. So what fix have you done? The kitten is exactly the same.

Strange thing today is that my daily reseted but i dont get chests from dungeons. And yesterday i was alright. Im with like 4 days without doing dungeons because no chest reward for me.

Well, really strange, yesterday it suddenly woked for me, without any reason. Today bugged again and I did nothing special on both days. I really hope it will get fixed in the next few days.

I had my Necro all night on Gendarran, i did cof with my necro, no chest. This isnt something you should do to get your chests. They kittened up the algoritm they should be solving it.

No chest and no small chest at the end. Who is going to refund the gold and badges im not getting again ?

I don’t know what anet did, but my dailies today work fine. I could get laurel from daily achiv, dungeon boss chests appeared properly and also fractal daily chest. (Still need to observe to make sure this bug won’t come out though)

You can tell me i’m greedy but then what would happen to compensation of my last 3 days rewards? Thanks for this bug, I missed more than 1 fractal daily chest, plenty of golds and of course laurels. Most of all, which makes me really angry is that I wasted my time playing bugged gw2 for nothing.

Im using 0/0/20/30/20 with the new 300 Vita Trait, full cleric. 20k hp, full healing power, loads of toughness. OP

what about people who have 6k WvW chests even when they are rank 100 ?

Yes it is.. people are creating chars and doing Edge of the Mists. Thats an exploit and anet has a big hammer to swing on all cheaters.

Roll back, take the gold from who abused, take the chests, ban who abused. End. Fix dungeon chests.

I didnt fix. Im just waiting that Guild of Bugs releases a fix for this and stopped doing dungeons.

Erm.. Yes? Omg, yah anet why dont you just give everyone 2000g and make everyone happy. Its funny that when you patch anything you bug 2 or 3 things. Dont you even have a test server?

I was doing cof for the first time today both p1 and p2 and i couldnt get the map chest, only the champion chest. At the end i didnt get the small gold chest. I find that weird since nobody on my guild had the same problem and it was the first time i was doing them today. I went to SE, same problem. Did p1 with my ele, only the champion chests. Did p2 with my warri, only champion chests. Already sent a ticket and i hope you can help me with this one.
As you can see in the picture, on the minimap the chests were visible but i couldnt see them with my char or loot and didnt have the small chest at the end.
