Im currently using Staff and SD. Staff is ok on WvW but sometimes i want to switch. I pick SD, its a weapon set with some problems but high burst makes me playing it. So for set i got PTV with Ruby orbs. For jewels i got rings and amulet ascended berserk. Backpack and earing still exotic but ill upgrade to ascended as soon as i feel to get fractals done :P What you guys think so far? Should i put on Backpack and earing P/T/CrD? Since i think i must get a little more toughness because you can go melee with SD as well. For

I have been changing and this is probably the best i have tested so far. Air is one of the best traits that we can put points on. On earth i chose elemental shielding for perma protection. Water for improving condition removal. And 30 Arcana to help with boon duration and recharge rate.

Still i think something is missing. Maybe its the wrong gear, i dont know. Your toughts?

Actually GS is TOTALLY different from Staff.

I said this on another thread, comparing classes is stupid. Staff Elementalist is focused on Aoe damage and Aoe control.

Your toughts on solaria or lunaria on Elementalist ? They boost all stats on Ele. Is it worthy or its better to focus on something specific?

Every class has his place and his damage. Some of you dont even know how to trait your elementalist, im sure of that. Im sure that there are people here that run the famous traits for DD and play WvW with staff then u say “oh i dont give enough damage”

Please.. Elementalists are not supposed to have the Warrior burst, what are you talking about Bryon? Why are you even comparing classes? Your argument fails when you have to compare an elementalist skill with a warrior skill. Full zerk warrior cant even kill a bunker elementalist. You think thats fair? I dont and i believe that as the highest dps on the game they have more things to complain then the elementalists, who btw are great in WvW and spvp. I dont care about if people dont take you to a dungeon. The reason why people go 4 Warr + 1 Mesmer for cof its because its the faster way. Period, no time to argue on that. You can complain on more important things, but complaining about pve? Give me a break..

Sure Elementalists need some buff up but they aint that bad. Go look at the necro, engi, warr threads. Every single person on this game complains, amazing.

Ah and by the way, you are discussing PVE stuff. Who cares if you do more damage to Lupicus with a mesmer than with a Ele? In tpvp or WvW Ele can do things that Mesmer cant. And Mesmer can do things that Eles cant. WHy are you even comparing? You dont like the Ele? Just change. Too hard for you go get good combos? Change! Go the easy way, but why is complaining always the first choice?

Agreed, I’m at 1400h and lost most of my enjoyment in this game. Now I log on to do my daily which takes 15-30 mins and log out and play other things. It’s not like I have to pay a monthly fee to play so it’s not a big loss if I don’t. The game will continue to change and will eventually change enough to lure me back or a better game will come out and I will completely disappear from Tyria. Either way, I had at least 1400 hours worth of enjoyment for my money. Well worth the price tag.

Thats what i think. I have 1020h and i took a break 2 times already. Sometimes i just do daily, sometimes i go WvW with guildies. Not enjoying the game as i used to but thats normal. Sometimes i still think “why am i still playing this?” But im my case its not just GW2, its the mmos in general. Im not a veteran but im getting tired.

i have been doing cofp1 to get some cores and lodes but i agree that a level 75 dungeon cant be this easy. Its ridiculous compared to some mmo’s dungeons. kitten , i know people who left the game because how ridiculous this dungeons are. So i dont want a nerf on dungeons, i want a Buff. I want a lv75 dungeon to be hard as it should be.

Now that i have Axe and Shield, i put Purity on Axe and Intelligence on shield. My first atack with axe will be a crit and it can remove a condition. Now i need to farm a rifle, dont like the bow that much :s

Mobile strikes isnt bad… bad at pve maybe but it can be a life saver

So finally with a warrior at 80 i already everything full equip but i dont know what sigils to put in my warrior weapons.

My weapons are GS, Longbow, Shield + Axe. I was thinking on Sigil of rage on GS, no idea on bow but maybe sigil of battle, hydromancy on shield and intelligence on axe. I mainly do WvW. Your thoughts please

The warrior class NEED some sort of statying capability. Some regen, some life steal, some sort of long term damage mitigation (like protection), or some escape mechanism.

you can go zerker if you trait urself well. runes are important as well. Im going Gear Zerker, melandru runes or ptv orbs. Half jewels berserk half jewels ptv. hammer / shield+axe

I only play rabid on gear and power crit conddmg on jewels. Gonna switch to full rabid but 1vs1 i feel pretty strong vs everything except guardian. I get tired because i cant kill one alone :|

I like to go full PTV in WvW. In a zerg u just pop DS and u will hit like a truck. On the other and i wont do much in range. But the reason i switched to full PTV its because i feel that most good players in WvW have atleast one skill to remove conditions and with so much guardians that give regen to his allies your conditions will be pretty much surpassed. DD+Focus or Axe+Focus + Staff ftw with me

My friend, this is one of the best posts worth reading on the Warrior community. The thing is is not the Warrior, its that people cant play their classe. You see people complaining on the Warrior thread, on the necro thread, on the Engi thread. kitten , you even see people complaining on the Guardian thread.

Like you said “Do you guys see a pattern here” ? I almost never die on WvW with my Engi and people say they suck. Same thing on necro. As far as my Warrior goes, still learning but im kinda sick and tired of reading the thread where people actually think that Warrior absolutly suck at WvW.

Roll the Warrior if you like to PLAY the Warrior. What is so hard to understand?

Guardians cant kite anyone, so they only kill anyone who is stupid enough to go 1vs1 and still stay until the end and dieing until they realize they cant win. On the other hand, if i am wining on a warrior a Guardian cant run. Will just close up with GS and kite you till death. Play what you like, otherwise you will be stomped on WvW or spvp as warrior or guardian..

Gonna ask this on this topic, im currently levling a guardian. U usually i might go GS + Shield/mace or GS + Staff but what gear should i use for open world? Its better to go standard PTV or Zerker in WvW?
