Incorrect crafting prof values in guildroster

When you bring up the guild roster it will show the current crafting profession of each member (400 Armorsmith, 400 Weaponsmith)

But the guild roster currently shows it as (400 Armorsmith, 40 Weaponsmith) even though both of my crafting levels are 400 at the moment.

I even changed the crafting profession to artificer (i also have artificer 400) but then it will show (400 Artificer, 40 Armorsmith)

This is also true to my other guild mates, they have a 500 crafting profession but it shows 50 on the guild roster.

I know this is probably a small bug but it is really bugging me xD

Kosai, hope you get your character fixed. Have you tried submitting a support ticket? In my experienced, other players have no clue what to do and are rude half the time. The quoted comment case in point.

I am aware of the server disconnects 40 minutes ago. Now i am able to login, so no big deal. The problem is, i cant enter the character that i was using when the disconnect happened. it even says “0% map completion” which leads me to believe it cant be accessed at all.

The other characters are fine, i entered my guardian and it was all okay, but my other one cant at all, it disconnects everytime i try to enter the character. Im scared she’s gone forever.

Please dont make a joke about this, im a very sensitive person

hi, i didn’t have this issue before the patch where culling was on. I’m assuming this has to do with culling.

I have the “show all npc nameplates” currently ticked off. before the update, when it is off, it doesn’t show any npc nameplates whenever i walk through the world.

now, it shows up even when the npcs are far away. and then disappears after a while. although this doesn’t bother me too much, i hope the radius gets increased or something.

it does feel a bit weird because it isnt very pretty to see for me and ruins a bit of gameplay visual experience.

by name tags, i meant the npcs. I have the ticked off option for “showing all nameplates”. so even when it is ticked off, the name tags still show up for longer distances

i have to say those sea of name tags is a bit eye watering, not really pretty to see and ruins the gameplay visual experience

Please fix the NAMES.The player names are off within what used to be normal culling radius… beyond that radius ALL THE NAMES ARE ON! >.<

i notice that even with the character limit and model on highest, the visual still shows people with their weapons unsheathed.

i dont mind culling off, it just that it looks weird and not a sight that is pretty to see, kinda ruins the gameplay visual experience

yes, i died when the boss was killed. meaning i was watching from a dead point of view. but the buff was on the whole time when i took my tokens popup. i guess being dead was the reason i didnt get achievement i dunno.

hi, the achievement for the dungeon completer in cutthroat poltitics didnt update as i completed the dungeon while the buff was active. granted i dont mind doing it again, but just thought you guys should know.

Note: i died when the dungeon was completed, i guess that was what caused the bug, hope this gets fixed for others

My review on the living story so far

Hi there

Ill start off by saying that I wasn’t really impressed about the first two updates on the living story, although i did do the tasks but the tasks weren’t really up to standards i guess.

This month’s addition: the Razing impressed me quite a lot actually, the mobs were not too strong and not too weak, and there were great in numbers during the tasks, allowing me to feel the Godlike satisfaction of killing them all when i unleash whirling wrath (I’m a guardian) and seeing them die around me in a circle.

That said, the instances are quite a good idea rather than the tasks be done open world, at least i have the option to do them solo or with a friend. The instances themselves are nicely done, with quite a few nice features which shows they have been done properly instead of done haphazardly.

The tasks were great even though they were normal events that you and I normally do in open world (defending, etc). It was like a minidungeon complete with an end boss which was a good fight and even had a cool conversation like the one with Braham and the molten shaman boss.

The characters are quite memorable for me, I like the way Braham’s lips move (although not really in sync with what he says). Rox looks cute despite her japanese anime style eyes which are creepy to say the least but it’s fine by me. Their armor detail is cool, memorable and for a norn, mouth-watering (where can i get that shield and shoulders )The conversations inside the instances were cool for me like the time the cute devourer kept following Rox.

Other tasks like the interpreting thingy was good in my opinion. I loved the way each 12 locations had the mysterious device rather than a random location placed into it, then i had to go to each location and be disappointed that there was nothing there (such as the lost items in The Gathering Storm).

It would be cool to have more of these in the future, I believe you guys did this quite right and this patch has hit the notch that ive been looking for to keep myself interested in this game for longer periods.

We do? Since when? Every single person I have talked to has the same exact dailies each day, we all get a new random set each following day but each day that set is the same for all players.

basically, the dailies havent changed. Just making it on par with a reason to go back to old level areas. My suggestion is making it optional both low level and high level, which means you can still just do it anywhere else but the idea to do it in low level areas is also there. Read it

Rata Sum - Hidden Area Idea

Sorry i forgot to post my suggestion and what i would like in it. Mostly of what you are going through seems like a jumping element of some kind, which is why i will be suggesting jumping. Probably just would like to make sliding into the holes on the edges of Rata Sum possible and then have chests in each of those sections until the perilous jump into the lake below!

I wouldnt mind also having the walls of Divinity’s Reach (the one with houses and homes on) be jump-able. You know, you can jump on the rooftops or something and jump one whole round the wall 360 degrees from one end to the other with a chest at the end. Possibly have a timer element to it.

Or the great large Death-star building thing in the middle of the black citadel be able to jump to the top of it or all around and such. Even the tall boat like towers in Lion’s Arch would be simply awesome. A really great height in which you have to jump up and when you look down you would feel really queasy since it’s a long way down. And when you get the chest you would just dive down to your death anyway cuz it’s cool :P

The grove would have you go up the pale tree or even under its roots to search for hidden treasure. Hoelbrak would have some ice areas in which are slippery although im not sure what kind of mechanic they can do with that.

Many more but i cant think out the top of my head at the moment. call me crazy for thinking those kinda things are fun but hey, each person has fun differently right? :P

Rata Sum - Hidden Area Idea

I’d love it. Mainly because i like exploring and discovering new areas and stuff. Heck i even jump on LA rooftops and Rata Sum pyramids just for fun. And also because I, as you have, slid the edge of Rata Sum just to see if i can get into one of the holes in the edges and fall laughing to my death into the lake below.

Rata Sum cant be the only one. Me as an explorer if i do say so myself, have discovered many areas which are potentially good as a jumping area or just simply wander around. I do realise this might not be fun for some but it is optional after all as everything in the game is.

So yes, I do like it.

Remember, the “level 1-15” thing I suggested is just a way for people to get back to old areas again which is what ArenaNet is trying. And i believe making the dailies as a focal point can succeed.

-Gatherer in any area
-Events in any area

That way, at least if people see the “1-15” area or “any area”, they would have the conscious idea of doing the dailies at old areas but still have the option to do it anywhere they wish if they want.

Greetings all,

I believe the laurels and dailies are cool. The laurel vendors give me an alternative for multiple rewards that i can choose whichever i want. The dailies themselves in my opinion are great. I am aware that it is not fun for some, but to me it is fairly something to do.

But first before we go in to that, i have a suggestion that would make going back to old areas an incentive and a motivation. I am aware that ArenaNet is trying to make reasons for people to go back to low level areas. Why not let the dailies become the focal point in making people go back to old areas.

The drawback to this is that some people might say: “dont force me to go to that area just so i have to do that particular daily”. As such, this is my suggestion and you may suggest an improvement if you wish.

We all know that dailies are random to the person such as:
Person A:
-Veteran Kills
-Healer
-Dodger
-Gatherer
-Events

Person B:
-Kill variety
-Kills total
-Dodger
-Gatherer
-Events

How about we make the dailies in the old areas and make it random for each person:

Person A:
-Veteran kills in a level 25-35 area
-Healer in a level 1-15 area
-Dodger in a level 35 to 50 area
-Gatherer in a level 1-15 area
-Events in a level 1-35 area

Person B:
-Kill variety in a level 35 to 50 area
-Kills total in a level 25-35 area
-Dodger in a level 1-15 area
-Gatherer in a level 15-25 area
-Events in a level 15-50 area

Think about it, everyone has a reason to go back to old areas everyday and if they feel it is hard to travel there and want to save a few silver, they would port to any city adjacent to that level 1-15 area which would make that city liable for a visit. Also, the community to do events there would be a bit more lively, everyone would be chatting in map chat telling the next event around which would allow community interaction
and teamwork.

Although i do see a few drawbacks, some people who are still new to the game and have low level characters would have a problem to go the slightly high level areas like 15-25 or 25-35. As such, i would suggest that the level areas involved could be only kept to 1-15 or 15-25 only instead of the examples i listed above.

There would also be some people who as i mentioned before might not be so keen on being forced to do their dailies on specific areas. Some people may like to do their dailies at any place they please. To solve this we could do the choice matter that ArenaNet is implementing. You know, the 4/6 quota to finish the dailies and stuff. Or maybe make it half-half like this:

Now for the laurels. In my opinion, one a day is not really enough. I am aware that ArenaNet is implementing other ways to get those laurels but i believe they can make it account bound if they wish. But at least make it 5 a day or something. Like if you complete one part of the dailies you get one laurel to a total of 5 or 6 a day. That would be fair in my opinion.

That’s all from me, oh and dont forget to check out my previous suggestion which i posted a month ago and i believe is cool but did not seem to be implemented or noticed :p
