I have met this overflow person… worst company every! Next time just move to a different restaurant and wait for the new location of your date which typically is received exactly on the hour and then get your butt there before someone else tries to steal your date and make you sit with overflow again.

Yeah their filtering system needs some updates but I just tend to triple check everything before i hit the buy button. You can always put it back on the TP for what you bought it as and just lose the 10%(?) listing fee
If 80% of the players were going to vote against a commander then you would have 80% of players not following that commander and thus you wouldn’t being trying to 1 man an invasion.

Surbrus, those are some good points and leads me to think that for any current LA portal should give a dialog box where you click on which main city you want to be transferred to. Change the text from Portal to Lions Arch to Portal to Tyria

You can’t police people to play how you want them to play. If someone wants to buy a commander tag and run around doing their own thing, that’s their right. As a normal player you have the choice to follow them or not. If you don’t agree with what they are doing then don’t follow them.
The whole vote to untag someone will be abused by trolls and raging individuals constantly. People would instantly lose 100g.
I understand that Lions Arch is the central point for all that is Tyria but the other major cities for each race are amazing, beautiful and… useless.
The main reason people hang out in LA is because of the Mystic Forge, Bank, Trading Post and WvW Portals (just before reset). Why not have each of the main hubs have these same features? Give us a reason to actually use a city that you created beyond personal/living story mode. Let guilds call a city their “home” without being kitten by a lack of Mystic Forge, poorly spaced bank/trading post/merchants/crafting stations.
After being lvl 80 for a while, the game just revolves around LA, Dungeons, Fractals and sPvP/WvW. Why not add the other main cities to that list. It can provide a lot of diversity to the game as well.

just out of curiosity…what is the need for so much karma? i mean i’ve bought a few pieces of armor and some obsidian shards but now i don’t need karma anymore
Multiple armor sets but the #1 reason is for a legendary weapon
The amount of karma granted from consumable karma items has been increased. Karma boosts no longer affect the amount of karma gained from consumable items.
Seems like they made it so that you don’t need to use a karma booster when using the consumables anymore. I’d call it a buff if anything.
It’s a nerf, the boost is only 50%.
Jug of Liquid Karma used to only give 4500 karma. 6750 karma when used with the karma booster (50%).
Now, it’s unaffected by karma boosters and now gives 6750 karma.
I fail to see where there’s a nerf in all of this.
With the Karma booster, guild karma booster, food karma booster, banner karma booster, 1 jug would give you just over 8k karma. That is where the complaint is coming from – you can no longer stack all of the +karma to increase the reward from these items.
I am so glad I literally just used all of the jugs, drips, drops, etc i had stored up 2 days ago… After all the buffs and all of the karma items i stored up I hit 1.8mil karma lol. The reason I was hording it all was to save it for other characters if I needed to get karma armor – thankfully with the wallet, its all account wide now! Sorry to hear you guys are stuck with your nerfed karma consumables…
So the Crown Pavilion area will go back to being a giant crater? That seems pretty sad… might as well leave the various levels so you can at least run around it still.

At the end you get a chest… BEYOND that you can jump up and get to a floating star next to a castle. Is it just for the view or can you do something more up here?
If they merge the servers they will have to get the overflow acting as how hubs worked in GW1. You had an drop down menu in the top corner that told you which “overflow” server you were in and you could transfer to any of them that had room. It made for grouping up much easier. Otherwise everything will have overflow like at launch but without controlling which overflow you are in, grouping is a pain.
Looks like you are using the same skills/abilities I used to run. Been trying different things but so far nothing works as well as that. Impressive videos too.
Mesmer has always been more High Class/Society with suits and dresses in Guild Wars.
Necros = both BDSM & Goth
Mesmers = Elegance
Elementals = Sorcery/wizard outfits (with hovering crystals around them)
Leveling up a heavy and light armor gives an ok variety in looks but for medium (leather) you get 1, maybe 2. It goes from the padded fluffy coat to pirate and then you are stuck with pirate until you run dungeons.
I am just glad I have my GW1 skins I can use to cover the bland, boring and sometimes horrible armor skins lol
It seems the drop rate was increased (Got about 10 in 2 hours) on “accident,” then reduced it to “normal” which is maybe 1 a day. The normal used to be 2 -3 a day but now they are extremely rare…
Is it still pointless to WvW? Meaning, no actual progression? Or just ole alterac valley battleground instance over and over each week?
Can we see kill spam yet? Can we see players names? Is there a way to advance your character in WvW?
Or is it just a battleground amusement park still ?
I’m with you on this one, except instead they want you to grind for siege equipment as well.
I’m sick of people saying this is the intended design. In 1 year, WvW will be only on 3 servers at this rate.

At least there you could still kill people. Here you can’t even do the monthly anymore since they make you do pve dungeons, and the gold and karma we get is greatly devaluated by the pvers farming CS and that plinx thing all day long with no risk whatsoever.
unfortunately due to the price of armor repair, siege, upgrades etc the only way to actually not lose money in WvW is to farm for a day and then pvp the rest of the week. If armor repair costs were reduced then we wouldn’t need to farm except for building keep and garrison upgrades (siege can easily be bought by selling what you get in WvW)
If your realm can not field the people it needs to compete in the tier you are in, you don’t belong there. Do you really want to know you beat another server because you had a handicap?
The handicap goes away once enough people are in your battleground… There is no way someone is going to win if they are having the unmanned buff simply because they don’t have enough people – Hence the buff. It just gives them a fighting chance against the massive zerg groups that are attacking them.
“You don’t belong there” sounds like you are blaming us for choosing to be in a certain bracket. Some of us (especially ET now) are having to wait each week to drop down in brackets before we are equally matched with a server of lower population due to the mass transfers we suffered.
I feel like too many people are trying to play this game like GW1 which turned into build wars… killed the whole guild battles from vanilla gw1. If everyone creates balanced characters then you just worry about keeping yourself alive and providing the rest of the team with boons. I do miss my monk A LOT but I have gotten over it w/ my guardian because I can still help everyone out with shields, buffs, aoe heals that I would be using to heal my self anyways.
Eh, same thing happened to a bunch of servers – it’s not the end of the world. Take ET for example, our population plummeted with the massive guilds all left to join EU servers to be their night crew – we have been falling in ranks every since but those of us that are left still fight tooth and nail claiming what we can and making our presence known.
Just realize you won’t win any WvW for a while and have realistic goals as a server (to control set areas on a map), focus on those, build your community, get your PvE croud to try out WvW to simply add numbers to a zerg and have fun! Don’t play to “win” because you wont (you won’t have the population), play to control what you need to represent your server among the other servers.
Over at ET we focus on our server’s battleground and capture/hold that. Otherwise we would have 20 people on each map accomplishing nothing.

Nah, the orbs being disabled have actually helped us (ET) control our parts of the map and fight off the massive zergs. It has definitely helped and appreciated those that are still fighting for ET after most of the community left for EU servers.
The scores are low due to low population level (not enough to take back everything, so we focus on what we can actually take and hold).
supposedly its at the same level as Legendary weapons, just Ascended is what the name is for the armor. Of course until Anet lays it out clearly it will all be speculative.
BTW Legendary weapons take Badges of honor too so it wouldn’t be any different then having a legendary weapon in WvW
So you are complaining about people complaining? While you have some good suggestions for people to help their server (a little elitist but I’ll overlook that) – you are doing exactly what you are complaining about.
If you don’t like reading about people saying they are handicapped by players leaving then don’t read them. No one is forcing you to read these posts – let people vent (like you are) and be on your way.
Sole Asylum [SA] is currently recruiting more member. We currently have 70+ members and looking to expand! We are working on expanding our WvW group and need more bodies will to help capture/upgrade/defend.
We have all the bonuses, +10% magic find, +10% Karma boost, etc. We place boost banners in WvW for everyone to use as well.

In general, I do wish ET would do a little more than their own BL. It does get boring wandering around and fighting PRO guild, only to see GODS guild, or a similar green group run up to help. It’s always more fun when it’s 20 on 20 and then the other team’s zerg runs through and roflstomps both groups. I miss weeks where it was 3 teams instead of 2.
But, FA has really started fighting. It’s become far more enjoyable than Friday and Saturday. I hope that ET and their server drama fixes itself so they can field an actual threat before Friday’s reset. And that isn’t insulting, they just don’t have any numbers in WvW. I saw one red player in EB last night, and just didn’t have the heart to kill him so I let him run away.

We would love to do more then our own BL but after the mass exodus of the drama queens we just don’t have the numbers to. So instead, we focus on our “home turf” and do what we can with those that we have, which has been great.
It will probably take a few more rotations before everything starts to balance out again.

Our evening/night crew is all about keeping our home turf. A LOT more activity every day with a lot of skilled people helping out. Guilds also taking ownership are sticking around what they claim and upgrading/defending them which is awesome. The other 2 servers can bicker while we keep our wedge of the pie visible
