For me personaly the name “Points of interest” is totaly missleading! All that chattering seems to be just time-filling to say “woah, look at us! we uploaded a video of abaout half an hour! We rock!”
I’ve got from those vids like what, 3-5 things that really interested me? To me this is just a “look at us communicating with you guys”- thing…

I would love to see ANY beast race.
Like the Anubis-like, Tengu or Centaurs.
All of them with polearms or greataxes ofc…

EDIT: Sadly Anet has chosen to ugly up the minotaurs, but after a re-design those would be sweet too

We already have cats…
plus if this game goes manga, many ppl would go crazy

Which specific role do you think the 2-handed axe should fill?

For example they can’t give a 2-handed axe as a weapon choice for Warriors and make it a Melee aoe damage weapon because that’s what the GS does.

4 & 5 only hit one target. 3 doesn’ t deal dmg (kinda) and the 2 sucks (IMO). Hammer is a better AOE weapon on warrior + it got nice CC.
GA could be like hammer – CC + damage. Or actually condition…
I want GA so badly! To me the game would seem more complete when those are in.

What I absolutley don’ t like about them is the fact that they “have” to.

On my warrior I prefered knight or sattler equip over zerk anytime.
My knight goes 2 – 0 – 6 – 6 – 0 with healing shouts and power for 2% of my toughness traits. Plus either Berzerkers stance or the one that makes you walk faster and immune to knock downs and stuff (The right term just doesn’t want to come…meh…)
Trooper runes and you are good to go! 1 shout is “Shake it off” and the other one “on my sign” (I think this is the name ^^)

weapons are axe/ shield or axe/ mace. Depends on my mood (;

My settler runs with 0 – 2 – 6 – 6 – 0 with healing banners and the dolyak seal. My banners usually are the defensive one and the one with a boost to healing.

here I use sword/ shield only.

Both builds are far away from what is meta. Still I can facetank those cottage doggie anytime

What do these players consider “real content” then?

If they can’t answer that in concrete terms, within the framework of GW2’s existing basic foundation, then they’re adding nothing to the conversation.

There are more than enough post about how people see weapons, new (real – some with hearts and co.) zones,
proffessions, races, etc etc. as “real” conten.

There indeed are a lot of threads like this and about communication lately. It is a good thing that mamy people care about it.
It is pretty poor that so many people have to care at all though…
Just too many unanswered questions. Too less content. Too much time passes without significant changes.

This is not about rewards in SW.
For me and my guildies it is purely about the will to bring major uptades at all.
Some people may leave as soon as Anet says something like “there will never be an expension”. But don’t they deserve to know?
And yes Gaile. This episode was fun and I loved it. But no, it is not enough.

Sorry but this isn’t close to true. When people say they’re speaking for the community, there’s an implication that the community as a whole wants something. There have been many pro mount threads, but no one would say the community as a whole wants mounts. It’s POSSIBLE a majority of the community does want them, but saying the community wants it because 10 people or 20 people or 30 people want it is wrong. In the case of mounts it’s particularly wrong because a large percentage of the community is against them? How many? I don’t know.

And that’s the point. I don’t know. So I’m not going to come in here and talk “for the community”. That’s a way of trying to make it look like you have numbers to support you.

When someone says people in the community want more dungeons, well…people in the DUNGEON community probably do. But that doesn’t mean everyone or even most people want it.

So now we have the question. If you’re not speaking for everyone and only your small demographic what does adding the words “the community” add to your argument?

At best, they add nothing to the argument. At worst, they’re misleading.

I’m part of the community too, and people sure as hell aren’t talking for me… most of the time anyway.

This thread feels different — we’ve moved from having a more-or-less passive ArenaNet presence that did little more than announce itself, to your guiding questioning. I appreciate that you’re shaping the conversation to be more useful for the Decision Makers to digest.

You mention wanting to know there will be more to the game. The new and continuing episodes of the Living World count towards that, right? Well…the story of GW2 is GREAT! The lore is fantastic! There is (almost feel like saying “was”) so much potential! But if I think about the way those are “told” to the player…One word that comes to my mind is “lackluster”. Another one is “pathetic”. And I am not complaining about the fact that I had to spend 600 gems to actualy play it (just…wow…).
If I want wo hear NPCs talk to each other I’d just stand at a random location and go afk. And not that it is bad enough to see some randoms NPCs having spears on land. No! This time there is a necro with a GS! This is so terrible! It is just another slap in the face…
And you ask if episodes of LW count as content to us. By deffinition it IS content.
But it sucks! Besides that…It is just not the kind of content many of us would like to see.
Oh…and for the “new stuff”…those two words feel so wrong here.
Question: Would so many people ask for new stuff if there were new stuff?
And after > two years…“stuff” is more than one or two little items. More than clipping armour sets. More than two tiny maps. More than anything that was added.

So…Yes LW episodes could count. But not this way.

– Polearms, /Greataxes, Whips, Claws, Bo, Crossbow,

+ New Professions
– Monk, Dreadknight (some kind of offensive support)

+ New Race
– depends on who you are asking…Tengu, Quaggan or
Skritt

+ Existing weapons to professions
– nothing to add here. You get it.

+ New modes for PvP
– Like a deathmatch, or a tournament where like 10 ppl
are having duels with each other till there is only 1 left

This is actually a good idea, imo.
The problem I came across is a combination of multiple facts.
- everytime i am facetanking about 2 of those cottage doggy champs and have to pull them to the chests bc nobody gives a kitten about them.

-Almost everyone just rushes the chests for them beeing the only propper loot. So you have to be lucky to actualy do the event (this only happens when most ppl run out of keys)

I think it would be nice if those chests only spawn in a seperated event which starts after the defense event.
This in combination with loot tables for the mobs would be perfect for me atleast…

invincible guardian…dealing 0 dmg…np in dungeons. don’t listen to ppl claiming “This set has no place in PvE”!!!
Tanking everything everywhere! + nice healing support on staff, mace, focus etc etc

by now I get why so many people are frustrated at this point…

both can do extremly well at tanking with that gear…
If using rune of the soldier (or trooper or what ever) and the right traits, the guardian will remove conditions more that the warrior will, but said warrior will heal more using his shouts.
The difference between these both is that the warrioir can use a trait to get power from his toughness and will deal more damage than the guardian will. But that guardian will support better…

I for myself hate all those “full zerk with gearcheck” crap that i come across if i want to run a dungeon and none of my guildies are on. On the otherside I love the that it is meta since I can sell those crappy zerk weps for rly nice prices…
Then again…all this skipping of mob groups that can’t get handled in full zerk gear makes me sad. I love dungeons. and if I want to run one then pls completly! kitten skipps and stacks…not going to happen with a good group…

Welcome to Guild Wars 2, Jonnyrok. I think you will really love the game, and I agree, the community is exceptional. Sure, you’ll come across the occasional nay-sayer, and if on the forums, just hit the little flag in the lower right and we’ll take a look at the post. If in the game, click the player (to select him/her) then right-click the image of the player at the top of your screen and you’ll see the option to use “report.” Choose a reason and a CS Agent will give what happened a review and take whatever action is needed.

Basically, it’s a beautiful game in an amazing world with some pretty darn nice people living there.

Well…just don’t. Ever. It will riun the way you look at this game. It is so badly made for Charr that thought it was some kind of joke. I literally laught out loud when I saw what they did.

On a female asuran the Lich outfit has nipple clips. NIPPLE CLIPS. I’m sorry but she should have had a better shirt then that. That was a time when unisexing didn’t work as well as they wanted. A guild member actually had a conversation with a Dev about that Lich outfit and her 8 year old daughter with asurans. They supposeity don’t have anything YET female asuran underwear/swimsuit is NOT just swimming trunks. This same logic goes for Charr. IF they didn’t have private parts up there to cover then they wouldn’t be wearing undergarments/swimming suits that COVER said stuff.

This all screams lazy on anet’s part.

My Charr currently has Vigil armor because I can’t find anything else in game I really like for her. I hate super spikey stuff (reminds me of assassins in gw1). Looking at the new armor sets the heavy on charr isn’t THAT horrible. I wouldn’t be using those shoulder guards if they paid me to though.

for reasons like:

1) I call myself a newbie for only playing a couple of weeks (8 or maybe 10) and i do have access to that mentioned area.

2) Having a charakter leveled to 80 doesn’t make you good at that proffesion at all.

3) Even with the experience of years of PvE, you still can be a newbie to PvP.
