Mirage
Infinite horizons should be made base and replaced by Mirror-on-Shatter which now gives you mirage cloak when you use a shatter skill. No more RNG. Mirror on Shatter should then be replace by a trait that causes ambush attacks to remove boons (works with weak GS ambush).Mirrors should now either produce a clone or refill one of your endurance bars instead. There should be a 3rd endurance bar that can only be refilled by mirrors. That way you can benefit from the mirrors when you want to.
Or, the Mirrors could be used for offense/area control by bring back the concepts of Confusing Combatant (confusion on illusion death), Crippling Dissipation (crippling on illusion death) and Debilitating Dissipation (and a random condition on clone death) that were phased out almost 2 years ago. You touch your mirror, get Mirage Cloak. Enemy touches it, it ‘shatters’ (Mirrors break, right?) and they take some damage and get condi.
I don’t know, it needs something. I spent an hour with it and said, “This will never get me out of Chrono as it stands.”

I vote no. I do not want what is in essence another EotM.
I vote to get rid of the links. Some of us want our small scale combat back and to never see BlackGate again. Kaineng didn’t sign up for this.

Such a surprise, our 8person group should suffice.
I remember that day, and it’s still the same this week. I’m not even trying anymore.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
I could be wrong.. but I honestly believe that the “beginning of the end” for WvW was the introduction of the Megaserver in PvE. Once we were unable to pop out to the cities and put out the call for help in WvW for our own server the crippling began.
My feeling exactly. The Megaserver destroyed the natural bond that existed between players of the same server. There was always a steady inflow of new people.
Currently even trying to recruit new players for WvW guild is hard as hell outside WvW, and the “newbies” come to WvW even less frequently. And while the new people might have fun in PvE megaserver maps, they might get a nasty surprize when they login the WvW and find out they are on a poor server.
Very much this. It’s a pain to recruit now.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
As some of you may remember, when the server linking was announced, I had made a thread that I believe will be the consequences of the Server Link.
{snip}
Lately, I’ve been keeping track of the WvW forum and it appears that a lot of negative feedback threads are symptoms of the server link.I firmly believe that after accepting that the server link was accepted, my gf and I have honestly tried to play with the server link and we’ve noticed the following:-
1) Community clashes – Loss of teamwork cohesion
{snip}
2) WvW for smaller servers
{snip}
Agree 110%.
Maybe it’s better just to merge certain server. Only downside is that Anet won’t get much money from transfers which is most likely the idea behind tossing worlds around every 2 months.
Also agree 110%.
ANet either needs to crap or get off the pot and either unlink servers or finally delete and permanently merge, and THEN unlink servers. This whole rotating links thing is just a play to get more kittening Gemstore sales for transfers, and it’s frankly insulting.
Imagine if for the PvP Pro leagues they were forced to pay for Gems to transfer Worlds, or unlock builds? The community would (rightfully) have a fit, but WvW players can get treated like this crap?

==continued====
Now, what do we do? Here is the short list of my suggestions, many related to and inspired by the above —
1) Matchups need to be shorter.
2) World links need to die. Either just unlink or consolodate the servers and let people build their new, fixed communities.
3) There either MUST BE a way to get Ascended in WvW that is NOT RNG, OR WvW needs to adopt the PvP build system.
4) To discourage k-trains, taken objectives should NOT auto-repair. The walls and gates are down, you need to put them back up before you move on. Camps obviously have nothing to repair, but maybe you need to revive the guards under your command.
4.1) In a related issue, to prevent Seige Spam, they are no longer tied to a given world. It’s medival seige, it did not have Friend or Foe tech, or DNA locks. You leave a cata outside the tower you just took, enemy can use it. This would require a ‘self destruct’ skill to be added to each.
4.2) in another related issue, fix the kitten walls to favor defenders. It should not be a death sentance to fight from the edge without being back 300 and using an arrow cart.
5) Make DBL just a little smaller. It’s much better now, but still takes too long to cross. Take out the Oaisis, and shorten the map. Leave the middle area very simple for people looking for fights. As of now, I only use it to cross as a roamer cause it’s safe as NO ONE GOES THERE.
6) To address the problem of it never lets you rest, perhaps if you are killed in an enemy borderland, you can’t respawn there for a period (say, 15 minutes). You can go to your borderland to defend, or EBG, or EotM. That also helps prevent the never ending train of assaults on Bay/Hills until one side gives up and goes to bed, only for it to still be flipped by night cappers, increasing frustration.
Take of these ideas what you will.
Regards,
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
LOT to address in this thread… let’s begin.
There is no balance, no diversity. It’s all particle showers and skill spam. Use whatever is off cooldown and let your passives take care of the rest. There is no push and pull, none of that “he used X so I’ll use Y”. There are no turtle guards who sacrifice damage for survival, instead there’s DH that has both. Or Daredevil. Or Scrapper. Or Berserker. Block block block evade evade evade invuln invuln invuln. 8k, 9k, 12k crits per skill.
This is a HUGE part of the problem. HoT introuced horrible power creep. There are no fights. You either win or die in 3 seconds. The balance in PvP is better because of the fact it is designed with everyone being on equal footing (so skill is the factor) in mind.
The cost of entry to WvW is too high now, and gear/foods/ascended is all part of that problem, which turns casuals off of learning the mode.
World linking strips away the purpose & sense of Community that lower tier servers had previously.
It’s true that lower tier servers didn’t have a lot of players, but they had a close knit group of individuals that where “Family”.
New players that started playing in the lower tiers…found this “Family” & learned to play WvW….then grew up & matured…and then would move to the upper tiers to play.
Emphasis above mine. It’s time to cut the work links. Some people liked lower tiers and wanted to stay there. The ones that wanted more action learned and moved up. Easy.
Let me say that WvW is actually fun. It is just VERY draining. Why? Because there is no clear victory in this WvW.
For example you take over the whole map. Did you win? Nope. 30 minutes after you log off your enemies will just PvDoor and take back everything and ruin all your upgrades that you guild paid A LOT of money for.
The victor is not who is more skilled. The victor is who can stay awake longer.
Even with Skirmishes, the war seems NEVERENDING! While that is part of the point, there should be some point that peole can sit back and say, “Yes, we did it!”
But you can’t. Repel the enemy from Bay, who cares, they’ll be back in 5 minutes (or less) and you just barely got the wall back up.
No, what has hurt WvW is among other things:
- Arrowcart damage buffed by ~80%
- The stability debacle
- HoT elite spec CC/passives and approach to I’m-full-dps-and-bunker traits
- DBL which reduced border activity by a third and remain crippling to this day
- The constant removal of player involvement in favor of automatic systems (scouts being pushed aside by sentries and watchtowers for example)
- The absolute destruction of small size guilds with the HoT guild system
- OP tactivators for those that can afford it
- Server links without fixing the identity issue
- Massive bonus PPT for high tier objectives which wrecked the scoring system that actually started to turn out decent, PPK tuned down to TL;DR level of importance
- And now we got 2-1-1 on top of this kittensauce
I disagree on DBL (it has it’s problems, mostly size and the shrine buffs are stupid) but 100% agree on the rest, in particular what HoT did to the roaming guilds.
Also, agree with Ashen. I signed up for Kaining, for roaming and guerilla tactics. I did not sign up to be an unwilling servant to NSP or Dragonbrand.
Rewards: add better things for Badges of honor. Ascended gear, WvW exclusive skins, eve exclusive runes, wvw exclusive foods and utilities. Pretty sure WVW has no legendary backpack like other game modes.
SO MUCH THIS AS WELL!!! Why does PvP (that doesn’t even need the stats or infusion slots) get Ascended Rewards?
Maybe it’s time to give up the week-long match model… Skirmishes were a good way to give focus to a certain time frame, but the overall score still tied to a match that is too long.
Shorter matchups would make imbalance a bit more “bearable” since we wouldn’t have to wait 7 days when we roll a entirely loopsided one.
Agreed, honestly, think it’s time for 2 or 3 day matchups. Maybe M/T, W/Th, and F/Sat/Sun as the matchup days, the long one on the weekend.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
It’s time to kill all those useless PVE servers and merge them into new ’’names’’ and make them more crowded and hopefully wvw will be fixed and balanced that way.
How bout no.
How bout instead we get rid of the links, and let people go back to playing with the communities we once had built up, or what’s left of them.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
Would you want to see any changes to Courtyard before it came back? A new mechanic, perhaps?
I’d like this if -
1) It got it’s own mode/checkboxes like Stronghold and Conquest. If you are not interested in it (either period or just that day) you should not be forced into it.
2) Unranked only. It is not balanced for ranked, but is good to skirmish test builds and for dailies.
3) As suggested, no infinite respawns. Team wipe, resets both teams at spawn, best of 3 rounds. 5 minute limit on the 3 rounds, so you can’t just stall forever.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
Cool, a reason other than dailies for me to keep playing unranked.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
This always been like this. Even in the old claiming system buffs wouldn’t work on EotM.
This has been fixed later. Only to be removed completely (again) with the new system.
Which is my point.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
One could hope for it however. I would think it would help get some smaller guilds out of WvW ‘core areas’. I try to only claim camps or towers that have hit T3 with no claims just because we’re smaller and our aura is not max yet, but I wish we could use some of this stuff we built in EotM.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
Some days I don’t want to spend 2+ hours actually being useful in core WvW, but I want to WvW.
But then I can’t use any of my guild upgrades.
Sadness.
Is there a reason we can’t claim objectives in EotM?
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
Since a lot of nameplate suggestions are coming up in this thread I figured I would let everyone know that the simple nameplate feature will be coming. Simple nameplates will be an option to replace either enemy or everyone’s names with a colored icon – red, green, or blue – and the only thing that will show besides the colored icon is the guild tag and commander tag. We want to reduce nameplate clutter in WvW and not add to it, which is why a nameplate suggestion was not one of the 3 proposed solutions. Also it should be noted that titles do not display in WvW (outside of a soon to be fixed bug where they display to squad members.) So displaying your world name through the title system would not be a good solution either.
Also, thank you for this.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
Solution 2: Guild Focused Proposal
Instead of having an alliance name, worlds would be referred to by their color.
• The borderlands would now be called Red Desert Borderlands Green Alpine Borderlands, or Blue Alpine Borderlands.
• The color designation would replace the “host” world’s name in almost all areas except within announcements.
• When objectives were captured, the name of the guild that contributed most when capturing the objective would be displayed. For example, “Objective Captured! [Guild Name] has captured [objective name].”{snip}
Questions:
1. Which proposal is your favorite?
2. What, if anything, would you change about any of the current proposals?
3. Is there another proposal you think is better?
1— Well, the game is Guild Wars 2, so proposal 2 makes the most sense to me. However, as to your other questions;
2— If we’re going with option 2, to prevent really small guilds or F2P guilds from taking prominence away from guilds that have been here, you might want to limit those messages to guilds that could (don’t have to, just have the upgrades to) claim the objective. For example, TACO can claim Camps, Towers, and Keeps. We’re mostly roamers (used to be, anyway… ) and so we never bothered with SMC claiming. If we helped take SMC, our name would not be in the list of possibilities for displaying the name. Likewise, a guild that could only claim camps at this point would be out of the running to display their name in taking a tower.
3— Why not finally get rid of worlds entirely, and just go with a series of guild alliances?
As a side note… it would be nice if we extended claiming objectives to Edge of the Mists… I want my extra supply.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
We wouldn’t force players to move worlds but stacked worlds would have a high chance of never opening for transfers again since we would be lowering the population player cap on all worlds. So for example in NA worlds like Blackgate and Jade Quarry would stay “Full” and wouldn’t be open for transfers unless player started to transfer off.
And if the players on these servers dont move off, we would be facing smaller worlds? Basically we could all stay put and roflstomp anyone forever with this new system.
Here is another idea that several of us have proposed, how about changing the tier structure into a Gold/Silver/Bronze system. Where Gold tiers have the highest population cap and transfer fees, Bronze would have a smaller population cap and smallest fees, and Silver would be right in the middle. Basically change the tiers to cater to our preferred playstyles.
This so much. While I appreciate ANet’s attempt to breathe more life and balance into WvW, the fact is these alliances have in the long run killed my WvW guild alliance.
We were all in Kaineng because we liked the small scale skirmishes and guerrilla tactics deciding the battles, and not just the giant Zerg vs Zerg. We can’t do that now, and it turned a lot of my former WvW playing guildmates off the mode. While the old setup had it’s problems, you could at least decide the scale of fights you wanted in WvW by server selection.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
So why a “High” server like Dragonbrand has 2 other links?
For a High server DB was performing very poorly at T4 against Linked Medium ones.
Well, being linked under them now, I can say that they really don’t seem to coordinate, with themselves or others.

If you want Druids to use healing power, could you add an offensive stat combo for condition power Druids that has healing power?
Currently the only options are:
- Shaman (Major Vitality, Minor Condition Damage & Healing Power): defensive stat combo, vitality isn’t very useful, only offensive part is minor condi dmg.
- Settler (Major Toughness, Minor Condition Damage & Healing Power): because of major toughness very bad for messing with tanking in raids. Only one minor offensive stat again.
- Apothecary (Major Healing Power, Minor Condition Damage & Toughness): still toughness to mess with tanking in raids, and only minor offensive stat.So no option comparable to for example Zealot (Major Power, Minor Precision & Healing Power) that power builds can use.
Example of something that could be used:
Major Condition Damage & Power, Minor Expertise & Healing Power (similar to Viper)
I know that Clerics (Major Healing, minor Power/Toughness) is so unpopular as to not exist, but it does. It’s better than Apothecary in youre scenarios, anyway.
I listed options for healing power in CONDITION builds. I’m perfectly aware of Cleric, but I sincerely hope you are not suggesting running Cleric gear for a condition build.
Nope, I just missed the condition word… problem when speed reading 6 pages on a break.
Then your point stands.
Wonder if Power/Healing builds might be a thing after this… I do admit I would love to see a use for Cleric’s gear that was closer to meta, I just like the concept of the stat.

All I know is that with the linking and constant change of our ‘partners’ my WvW Roaming alliance pretty much died… most of both guilds quit the mode because they did not like the almost constant large zergs.

Pt 2 because 5000 limit —
I also have a concern about Signet of Inspiration. If you’re going to nerf the active effect, redesign the passive to be as desirable as the active. There’s no point in having random boons because there’s no way to guarantee you’ll have the boon you want when you want it. Perhaps it could simply pulse vigor and swiftness. Both would be very beneficial to mesmers.
This I actually like, essentially perma switftness and vigor, which both enhance the Mesmer playstyle (try and avoid damage) but don’t really buff DPS classes.
I’d rather it give the same perma or near perma boons and actually INSPIRE me rather than the current SIGNET OF ADHD it currently is.
Revenant – didnt you buff it as it was under powered?
– Up and down like a dam yo yo, you wonder why people get annoyed… make things work correctly in the first place without rushing them. Revenant will be useless for raids, weak in PVE,
– when you announce a change, cant you add a rationale?
Under powered and broken to the point where only 3 of the 5 legends are viable. There is a reason I gave up, moved all my Rev’s Ascended to other characters, put her in exotic karma armor and guild weapons, and stuck her on perm daily Teq duty.

Maybe the balance change might make Cleric’s gear desirable? Who knows… they give very little details.
As always, balance focused on pve and not pvp.
gg.
What? Boon changes and druid changes are applicable to WvW and pvp.
Because god forbid we are more useful than looking fabulous.
I just want personal DPS if they are going to keep taking away my party utility. Heck, I just want personal DPS because I do less and less party things these days… the world links have all but killed my WvW guild anyway.
Sounds as if we’re looking to send Mesmer to the bottom of the list, again. I don’t understand what seems to be an institutional dislike for Mesmer.
Given that its possible to get minutes of quickness and protection across a whole squad primarily due to boon share mesmers interaction with revenants some change was needed. My reading is that it doesn’t impact non boonshare builds.
Good luck getting into a raid squad or high level fractals without being a boon bot.
“I’m a DPS shatter memser!”
{kicking intensifies}
It isn’t all bad. They are increasing mesmer damage
But we’re a support class and always have been. Our damage is irrelevant, if people want to do damage they should role another class. 90% of classes do damage. Let us keeps our unique active support role.
At least I see the Chrono as pure Support. Mesmer should get Damage with a new Elite Spec but it seems that Chronos will now get DPS thats not kitten anymore, just Bad ( because buffing Damage is what a pure Support Class needs ) and mediocre supporting capabilities.
Mesmers get DPS? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! We’ll get a buff to Staff or Pistol. That won’t help.
Personally, I see the solution being simple. Whenever someone strips a boon from their opponent, that boon can’t be reapplied for 8 seconds. If that boon is corrupted, it can’t be reapplied for 4 seconds. The numbers can be tuned up or down as needed. This would allow more diversity as those whom rely heavily on boons have a counter and people will make builds with the sole purpose of denying others. It would even work well in PVE against bosses that constantly gain boons no matter how much they are stripped. The karka vets and champs immediately come to mind.
This so much! The boonspam is so large in part because you strip a Hearlad boon and it just COMES RIGHT BACK unless you KILL THE HEARLD!

Yeah, a few posts later I thought the 2,1,1 would be interesting because the point allocation would be different and it could lead to teaming up on the top dog of the match.. Guess ya missed that!
You made very good arguments there. I too support 2-1-1 system, because it would encourage fighting. It would pretty much solve the coverage problem unless top server has same amount of players as the other two combined. Most importantly it would take frustration off the third place team and hopefully stop players leaving WvW.
Won’t make a difference because the easiest way to get those two points is still focus the weakest server.
No, if you’re 2nd place team you get double benefit from attacking 1st place server. They lose points and you gain them, which makes overtaking leading spot faster. Remember that only the leader gets anything.
That kind of scoring would actually help to make the top change constantly thru the week, as opposed to now where in 98% of cases the winner is already determined by Sunday morning, making the whole rest of the week pointless except for the PvE only folks to sneak in for easy dailies.

Honestly, while a neat idea, repair hammers for siege was the last thing WvW needed.
It needs to be less about siege and more about fights/roamers.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
I think 2nd and 3rd place points must be the same to incentive attacking the team on the top and not both lower servers fighting each other for 2nd while 1st runs away with the victory.

I think we are going to see, over time, that those “gifted” with a week of the DBL are always going to come in third.

Make the Northern towers strategically meaningful. You can treb Garri from the northern towers in Alpine making them a good asset to control offensively and defensively.
Honestly, this is what I like on DBL. You cannot just sit inside a tower and treb it from safety. You have to actually go to the objective or treb from open field if you wanna do some progress. I’m pretty sure the people who yell “NO MORE SIEGE WARS” never took that fact in consideration when they cried for ABL back.

Will there be any sort of soft-reset for MMR or should players that had big loss streaks at literally any point in season 3 just skip the trouble and not play from day one?

All and all I don’t really see myself playing anymore GW2 Ranked sPvP ever again. I’m just beyond jaded and alienated by the last few Seasons as a solo queuer. I’ve also found greener pastures for myself as a solo queuer so for ANet to pull me and my kind back to the game, they would have to pull what we would called in Eve Online a “Jesus Patch”.
After the hell with the carrot and the stick I went thru for Seasons 1-3 before I realized that I just don’t care enough to play and queue with these kids hoping against hope that this will be their chance to become ‘pro videogamers’ instead of getting a job, I’m not ever going to play ranked again. Unranked is fun enough, and not a crap show.
Well, if they do something like last season where where you left off determines a starting point, I might queue to get my Amber ticket and add to the 5 I have left just for the basic mini-llama, but I’m not really going to try in that one match, and then leave ranked forever.
Except I don’t even like the thought of that, so I might just spend those 5 I have left now on junk to remove the idea.
Yeah, I’ll stick to WvW and Unranked, where I actually enjoy it, win or lose.

This would make getting ascended pointless, or it would become only for fractal players. Seeing as how easy it is to get full exotic this would also kill the economy. Why make ascended when you can pay a few gold for a 5% stat increase.
Then you’ll have the people complaining about all the gold they spent on ascended being wasted. One of the reasons for making ascended was for the 5% stats.
I don’t mean to sound harsh or anything, I can just see this doing more harm than good.
No, not harsh at all. I put this out there for discussion and feedback.
Like Ubi.4136, I just think Account Bound is enough to serve the purpose of keeping things off the TP. However, if they wanted to keep SoulBound as a call back to GW1 ’Customized", it would be nice if the option was worth considering.
In GW1, it was a 20% increase on damage, however, weapons and armor did not give stat bonuses in that game (the runes in the armor could however). A 20% increase on damage would be insane, which was why I suggested 5%.
Perhaps if it applied only to the Damage or Armor ratings, and did not affect the stat bonuses?

Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
In Guild Wars 1, Soulbound (aka Customized) was an effect you chose for a bonus to damage with the weapon. In GW2, it’s something that can’t be put on the Trading Post.
Thing is, we already have this, with Account Bound.
So, I was wondering if there would be something broken about them changing all soulbound items to account bound, then adding a vendor that would let you pay coin to soulbound a weapon or armor for a 5% bonus to stats (with the exception of Ascended and Legendary, which must remain account bound).
The idea would be that it’s a way to get BiS stats but limit the use. Ascended and Legendary would still be desirable for the infusion slots and ability to change stats, but then at least Exotics could go back to actually being all that is needed for end game (outside of high level fractals and WvW).
I’m just not sure what it might do to the economy if you really only needed one set of every weapon and armor weight to trade among characters… but I could see some soulbinding just for the 5%.

They have your money, why should they care?
Well, they are not getting it for XPac 2 until months after lauch, if then, if it will also be this buggy.

Really?
This is getting really old.

Right after the Green Keep in EB is fixed,so we can’t target the inner gate while the outer is still up!
I have heard of this bug, but never seen it.

Gotcha…it would be so much easier if GW2 had some kind of TS server that automatically linked all the paired worlds each time the linkings are changed…
Yeah, in our dreams lol. It would be nice, but I imagine a nightmare to manage since people could just come in and yell non stop or something lol..
Maybe they could do it with Discord? Seems easier to set up. [TACO] has been having good luck with it, working on talking [RaW] into it as well.
Plus, you can give out permanent links, or temp links (make a link for say, 6 weeks), and even go manually expire a link if someone with a perm link turns into a kitten kitten.
(Yes, I typed that as kitten kitten. Meow.)
In game you will see one of my two mains: Tim Is On Your Side (Backline Ranger) or Dàrk Side Of Tim (Frontline Guard) – Enemies will see Gold Vet Guard and go… ooo dinner
I was working with you last night. You’re not that bad.

When our main zerg is stuck in a life-or-AoE fight with 4W’s own zerg, team/map chat is covered with “help at this place” messages. They clearly have many more roaming teams than we do (which is excellent) and very efficient ones i may say. i remember seeing our 3 top alpine camps being seized in the span of 2 minutes while our main force kept losing ground to the invaders.
Before the links Kaineng’s population for WvW had fallen pretty low. We never had numbers to fight a zerg, so the guilds that remained got very good at splitting into Havoc Teams and hitting multiple targets at once. One team would probably get steamrolled by the enemy zerg, but that allowed the other 2 or 3 to get their objectives.
This tactic is serving us VERY well with the new 5 minute tick. 15 was too long, but 5 may be too short. Not sure. Think maybe there should be a small window to flip it back before the tick. Maybe 7 minutes… or reduce RI to 3 or 4 minutes.
The “Fantastic Four” will have a very hard time as it faces stronger servers. Organizing is difficult. We could also use a good pugmander. Haven’t seen a t1 quality tag yet
Yes. I’m still asking for a TS in Team/Map and no one has one. Right now we are getting by mostly on guild teams knowing what they are doing a sheer numbers. I see tags, and they know what they are doing in team chat, but we still don’t get any voice going.
I’ve considered adding a 2-month expiring link to the TACOtalk Discord server and advertising that just to see if I can get us into one chat… but being as TACO is still a tiny little known guild, I doubt it would work.
Maybe if [Owls] set one up…

I’ve noticed that once a force breaches the inner wall, the emergency waypoint becomes basically useless since you can just bomb the crap out of it.
The better choice is to pull it before the inner wall is breached and stop them at that choke.
I keep telling people this. They think you can mesmer portal bomb with it, and it’s not like that. If you pull it when inner is breached, it’s too late.

@Teon: Kaineng… until now you have always been the enemy! haa… Except for the people I know in game I have no idea who is on what server when I’m in there. Just running around looking for groups and fights.. and yes, there’s lots of action. Seriously all this talk about 1st, 2nd, 3rd… really? Do people really care? I don’t.. I just wanna find people to stomp…. and sadly, be stomped by of course! :P
Aye, it is odd to be linked with some of our old enemies……and yea, I don’t really care much about the score, either……it certainly doesn’t mean anything. My time in EB last night was just hilarious…..stomping and getting stomped galore!!!!
And very few T1 sized blobs. That was really nice.
It was glorious!
It’s an interesting situation, that is for sure.
Stay off the beaten path, and you can roam and havoc. Stay near towers and keeps and you get your zerg fights.
Thing is, with 4 servers our coverage is even better than I saw while we were with TC. I can be roaming and get in a 1v1 fight, and end up getting support (like, +2 to +4) I didn’t even ask for just because they saw my dot on the map moving funny and came running to the fight.
Unless people are coming to help because my server rep went up and no one told me, but I doubt that. People barely even know that TACO is out there most times with these numbers unlike before.
Ah well. You guys have stomped me enough times it should have brought your count up more!! ????
Are you playing a Revenant that wanders the south CD borderland, cause the other day I killed the same poor Revenant about 6 times in a row down there…. I felt bad, the 7th time I spotted him I left him alone and looked for someone new. Found a theif that we played ‘dash and duel’ for about 7 minutes. Then I got help I didn’t ask for and the fun ended…

Can we have a few simple glider skins linked to LS3 rather than the Gem shop?
I say simple just because that way they are not better than the gem ones so you can still make sales, but it would be nice to earn a few non-legendary glider looks in game.

Mmmm…where’s NA?
Not till sometime just before or after reset tonight I would imagine. So, about 9-10-ish, PM, US EST.
Leader of TACO mini-roamer guild, Kaineng.
None of the servers in EU linked with full servers are showing full. That will likely carry over to BG when NA reset happens. And I did vote against linking. Anyone in lower tiers could already tell you that this hasn’t fixed anything.
I’m on Kaineng, and getting linked to a T1 server certainly increased wvw action for us. We went from being almost a ghost town in wvw to suddenly having pretty much non stop activity in wvw. Sure, the blob warfare gets tiring, and roaming and havoc squads are a lot more challenging to do, but yea…..linking has definitely ‘fixed’ some things for the lower tiers.
And yea, it does come with problems….like loss of server identity, etc. But the linking has definitely given those of us on the lower tiers that wanted more action….it has given us lots more action.
Soooo many kills while roaming…. cause I can find targets now.
Yup…..never any shortage of targets anymore, that’s for sure. Certainly nothing like what Kaineng had become before the linking, huh?
No not at all.
While BG has really good coordinated zergs though, I was surprised at how many of their Roamers I could easily solo. Course, some of them might have been some of our old foes from ET, but I didn’t recognize anyone.
Anet don’t you dare mess up and pair BG on NA.
Honestly, I’d like to see 5 tiers this time around. But I’m not sure how they’d arrange that.
Also, I’d like Kaineng to stay with TC, as I do got friends there now and I’m used to them. But I can live with anyone except being paired with YB. I’d like to get the chance to fight GoM again, we had some good wars back in the day…

This would help the queue time in ranked right? I don’t see any downside to making people play ranked.
Kitten right the kitten off on that idea. I am so much less stressed playing PvP in Unranked now for dailies and fun. You can keep you Cancer Leagues.
