One of the few Americans on Gunnar’s Hold (EU)
Two different bugs in this one.
1. When you enter Rankor Ruins to search for survivors, Trahearne gets stuck at the north gate and is unable to enter.
2. The cinematic for the final boss appears, but then I immediately get kicked to the character select screen.
Two different characters and I’m getting the same result from both.
Bummer.
Guess that this means I’ll have to spend more time in the jungle, then.
Thanks for letting us know.
In the meantime, I’m super impressed at this expansion right now (I basically squealed for 5 minutes when I came to the Falls and met M.O.X. at the bottom). Just…thank you. It’s the little things like this that make the experience for me.
Happened to me as well. Oh well, only real fix is to do it at a later time.

That’s been removed too, yet the nearby Flask of Raptor Juice was never removed.
In the Vigil Story step"Under Siege" General Soulkeeper’s voice is missing in some lines of dialogue, specifically starting when she talks about “hostiles in Vigil keep” and ending with “Efut, what’s our status?”
Edit: She’s also missing the voice to the last few lines of dialogue about setting up the Pact.
This may or may not have been broken with the latest patch, but it’s still a bug.

+1, whispers don’t work but mail does.
Apparantly it’s this guy. Something to do with him hating autism (and of course being an attention whore)
How, exactly, do you make the jump from hating autism to deciding to shut down a datacenter? I don’t understand.
Because some people are just mind-numbingly stupid.
Indeed.
Jesus tapdancing Christ on a pogo stick, some of you guys are -violent- in wanting to deal with this hacker. As the NPC says: “More violets I say, less violence!”
What you guys should be doing is wanting to send booze and energy drinks to the people at NCsoft in general. It is going to be a -very- long night for some IT people and they will need the booze and drinks. And cake. Lots of delicious cake.

That explains quite a bit; but then, once its capped, why not remove it from being notified every single time?
Several of my friends have complained that this doesn’t work anymore, they have stopped receiving the points from completing dungeons…and this bug has happened to me.
Observe:
First picture was taken last night before I completed TA. I have 10,001 AP.
http://i.imgur.com/LboU1BC.png
Now the second picture was taken this morning, after I completed TA. Each time you complete a hobby dungeon, you are awarded 5 AP. But yet, I only have 10,002 AP.
http://i.imgur.com/H9nfkHT.png
Time duration on this bug is at least 6 months when I heard my friends complain about it. My personal time duration on this bug is about 2 weeks. This is an “infinite” duration achievement, like Agent of Entropy, where you get 2 AP for every 200 items you salvage.
Any chance you guys could take a look at this and figure out what happened?
My boyfriend linked me to this forum paste and told me to check my email…turned out I had gotten this email too. Gave me a chuckle!
The imgur image below (pulled from a thread on reddit here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/293spr/been_playing_the_game_since_beta_today_anet/) shows the email for those who are curious.
+1 to the TP being FUBAR’d for me since yesterday.
Has to be a Cider problem in my opinion, but as for how or what to do to fix it, no idea so I will wait patiently for the fix.
Holy sea of names, Treebeard…
It took me 3900 hours and 362 days to get a precursor. The Lover dropped from a champ bag I picked up from Orr. I sold it and gave every last copper to my boyfriend to help pay for his Twilight. Another friend actually dropped Lover from Behe day before yesterday and a month after mine; sold it, bought Dawn. Guildmate had played for about a year and got Leaf of Kudzu from CoF. He sold it and bought, you guessed it, Lover. One more friend got Lover from forge when he was trying for Spark.
Lovers, Lovers everywhere…
You make a good point. Too bad most people are more worried about their own efficiency. I would rather have fun and lose than spend time insulting someone for being a “n00b”.
Agree. I don’t mind playing a dungeon with “noobs” if they tell us they are new to that path. I will do my best to teach. I never scream at or insult people. If you teach someone how to run a dungeon path, then they may be able to teach another person that path too. Being a jerk about it doesn’t help anyone, makes you look bad, makes them feel bad, makes for an uncomfortable dungeon run.
If I want my efficient farming, there’s World Tour for that. The rest of the time I chill out in the world, leveling alts or farting around gathering nodes or the occasional chill dungeon run. It’s a game, after all.
My only concern with the new system is working people who will be excluded because of the rigid schedule. Since my job is remarkably flexible, I’ll be able to hit my favorite bosses, maybe with ease. But others are not so fortunate.
And that’s my concern with the new world boss schedule as well. Someone somewhere will be excluded. I may never see Teq again, someone else may never see Maw again, another person may never see Behe. My boyfriend spent some time this morning trying to make me understand that “the bosses are on a set schedule now, you don’t have to alt-tab to check the API now, you can just see that Behe is up in 2 hours just like it is now”. He doesn’t understand that there will be people who don’t want to stand around and wait at boss spawns, bosses that cannot be killed in the 15 minute time window, the timers are inconvenient to a lot of people and you will no longer be able to have the efficient boss farming a lot of people are accustomed to having. People will be able to troll the events intentionally or activate them for fun, which will rustle a lot of people’s jimmies, which will lead to a toxic game environment. Think QDale champ train haberdashery except now on a global scale.
“YOU IDIOT YOU ACTIVATED FIRE ELE BEFORE THE TRAIN GOT THERE HOW DARE YOU GUYS REPORT HIM NOW HOLY CRAP YOU REJECTS OH MY GOD YOU GUYS SUCK RAGE RAGE RAGE”
Whereas now on World Tour if someone does fire ele? Oh well, catch him later, we can go do 2 other bosses now.
World Tour is my main source of karma and loot and to a lesser extent, income. I don’t want to do fracs for karma, my computer struggles when it encounters a zerg of 40+ people so WvW is right out and frankly standing around at a waypoint waiting for a boss we may or may not be able to kill in a zerg of 100+ within 15 minutes is not my idea of fun. The magic happens in map chat, squad chat, say chat and Teamspeak where we are able to gather together as a community and shoot the breeze. I’m all for adding in new people to my pool of acquaintances but sometimes I just want to do stuff with the people I do know.
far too obvious/great of a solution for them to have ignored. there’s an ulterior motive for the spread out schedule: curb rate of earning loot….in order to stretch out the time required to craft ascended gear/legendaries…..which makes buying gems w/RL money and converting them to gold even more attractive. i also fully expect a stealth nerf to the rate champ bags drop cores/t6 mats as well.
+1 +1 +1 to the moon!
To be honest, I haven’t seen one good upside to the whole Megaserver thing. You’re going to rip apart communities, double waypoint costs, screw people over for the meta event chains that you’re not “synchronizing”, force people to be on at a specific time for a specific boss (not to mention cause some serious upscaling for certain ones, like Golem, when there’s 30+ more people than what we see now), and in one fell swoop completely ruin the economy for gathering materials.
What makes you guys think this is such a great idea?
Also +1 +1 +1 to the moon!
As a Gunnar’s Holder-ite and one of the leaders of the server’s World Tour and Tequatl events…Anet, I am deeply disappointed in this change.
1. It takes a lot more work and some quick thinking to chain the bosses back to back to back. For example: Fire Elemental bugs frequently on GH, ask someone to please unbug it for us while we do Mega Destroyer, but oh no Behe, Taidha and Maw just popped up in the middle of the Mega D pres. Not a problem! Kill Mega D first, then go to Behe first, let Maw sit on the Brogun event, kill Taidha, work your way to Maw, then go do Fire Ele and then from there work your way to Eye or Dwayna or whoever else happens to be up. On a good night we hit 25-30 bosses and 5 or so “bonus champs” in about 6 hours. That’s not only a load of karma and loot for you, but a load of karma and loot for the others following you as well.
2. People are free to drop in and out of World Tour as they please. Naturally the zerg is large at the beginning but as people go to bed, it gets smaller and smaller. With the new Megaserver, that will not happen.
3. The Tour as it is has a fresh, constantly rotating schedule of bosses that changes day to day. Some days we start with Behe, others with Golem, others with Maw. It all depends who is up at the same time and makes the Tour always fun. With the new schedule, we get to see the same few bosses all the time which becomes stale and boring.
4. The twice weekly GH Tequatl kills and the once weekly Wurm attempts are in the garbage now. We’ve only just started gathering the server and being successful every Monday at Teq. People know what to do, how to do it, when to do it and gathering at a time convenient to everyone. Now? We’re going to be getting hundreds of people in the map, who may grief it, who may be rude jerks or just be having a bad day and spread their misery over everyone. In addition, the new times are not convenient to everyone.
5. I like commanding in PvE. I find it fun. I love interacting with the people on TS and in map chat and squad chat. I love the work of figuring out which boss to go to. I love being able to chain bosses boom-boom-boom-boom-boom. I love training new commanders on how to activate events, offering advice, helping them with questions. Buh-bye that for me now…
6. I’m also one of those who enjoys her peace and quiet because I’m “on stage” once or twice a week or helping the other commanders whose turn it is during their night or heck filling in for people who can’t do it because of computer problems or being sick. I enjoy wandering Ashford or Timberline or Snowden or Lornar’s by myself, all peaceful. That’s being taken away from me now as someone upthread said. Our experience of a secluded walk in the woods will be destroyed because someone will be busy flamethrowering the bunnies and deer or being a jerk in map chat.
7. My guild is TINY. If I want to experience Karka Queen I’ll have to join up with a larger guild. I don’t want to join a larger guild. So what do I do? Leech?
8. Gunnar’s Hold has a very large PvE base now because of the Tour, the nightly Temple Runs, Tuomir’s Hide and Seek event, Duke Witherheart’s Rampages and the Tequatl events. Gunnar’s Hold has been my home for about 400 days and over 4k hours of gameplay. With the Megaserver I can’t say “I’m proud to be from Gunnar’s.” I can say “I am now one of the faceless, nameless minions in this big blob of people.” Arenanet. I am not a statistic. I am a person. I am not a metric. I am an individual. I am not a nameless, faceless, walking wallet. I am myself. And I like my home. I like the people I play with every day, I like the people on my server. You’re going to destroy a lot of what makes a server community a server community in the name of…what? Metrics? Numbers? Because we are nameless faceless wallets?
Edit: Also forgot! Some boss events take a LOT longer than 15 minutes to get through all the pres. Good examples are Mega D, Ulgoth and Golem. With a good size zerg, you’re looking at at least 25-35 minutes per event, possibly longer.

The image attached to this post was taken last night, showing the bug I’ve been suffering from since Tuesday.
I followed KarateKid’s advice in this post but it didn’t help at all.
Anyone else have any advice for a fix/anyone else suffering from this bug?
This may be zone related, or asset related… it’s hard to say.
I was lulled into a false sense of security when I played for an hour in the corner of Fireheart Rise for about an hour with no issue (rather than a crash every 10 minutes), so I continued with my dailies and swapped characters to a new character in Metrica Province right at the main gate – and pow – less than 10 seconds and it crashed.
[edit] Wow, Metrica Province is bad. I can’t play for a second in the Asura starting zone.
One odd reflection on the crash situation: I need to force-quit the client a lot when it freezes/crashes, and I’ve noticed that the client is actually waiting for feedback with a dialogue box noting the c0000005 crash and touting an OK button… but most of the time it’s drawn behind a black screen where it can’t be seen or clicked. I only noticed it there for a frame or two when swapping out of the client to the desktop.
That’s not very clever or useful, is it?
To be honest I’ve noticed that with all sorts of client crashes, not just this one.
Running a 2011 Macbook air, OSX 10.9.1, 1.8 Ghz Intel i7, 4 gb RAMM.
I am not crashing per se but I am freezing. Froze once yesterday during the Aftermath cutscenes after about 20 minutes (when Majory’s sister showed up). I froze 4 times today while doing dailies; also around every 15-20 minutes. Twice in Ashford flamethrowering enemies; once in Metrica underwater killing enemies (got ripped out of karma for the event I was doing
) and once in Hoelbrak just doing crafting. The client simply locks up and no amount of force quitting will get it to stop; meaning I have to restart my entire mac.
My boyfriend (with the exact identical mac I have) has gotten no crashing whatsoever. So what the heck.
The thing that I didn’t like about this ending was that there was no real explanation. A lot of folks guessed she was after Mordremoth, but we still don’t know why she went to such extremes to wake him up, and how he got into her head in the first place, and what that could mean for the sylvari.
The NPCs say they’re not interested in the explanation, but that’s the exact opposite of what my character would have done in that situation. She would have let her talk, and then killed her. Every piece of information is crucial. Why put all those pieces together in the bar and then not get the answer from the sylvari’s own mouth!?
Otherwise, I’m happy to see a return to dragons, but without an explanation, a cool cinematic is just a cinematic.
When you join the Order of Whispers for the first time and watch the cinematic after talking to everyone’s favorite apple seller, Riel Darkwater says something along the lines of “it doesn’t matter where the dragons came from or why they awoke, we just have to send them back to hell”. No one order has all the pieces of why or how the dragons awoke, to be fair. Better hope more is revealed in season 2. (though I will admit I grumbled at not being told why, kitten it guys! I wanted to know!)
(Why is the text of that cinematic not included in the wiki?)
I repeat: Why is Malyck not espousing the joys of Mordremoth when we meet him?
Maybe because the dragon was asleep when you met him. Only time will tell whats happens now.
Caera broke through the Pale Tree’s warning and found Mord himself. Malyck and the people of his tree have no no such protection, even a sleeping Mord would therefore be able to talk to them as easy as he did Scarlet.
Yet, Malyck heard no voices in his head. No people of his tree have popped up shouting ‘Mordremoth!’
The sylvari are not that special, they’re not. The $64,000 question still lies in the sylvari’s origins, the Dream, and the Nightmare. And we are a little closer to those answers today.
Maybe just maybe you needed to break through into the eternal alchemy to feel Mors influence (before he was awake) and the non pale tree Slyvari were just neutral up until the point of him awakening and now they will be susceptible to his influence.
Malyck isn’t exactly neutral, he’s got the qualities of loyalty the “regular” sylvari have but also has a penchant for revenge.
Some quotes from the wiki, pulled from the personal story missions.
“Source of the Issue”
Knight of Embers:There he is! The harbinger. Success! All that is left is to bring him before the Duchess Faolain.
Malyck:You are one stubborn weed, lady, and you’re doing a bang-up job of getting on my bad side.
Malyck:Who are you, and why do you want me?
Knight of Embers:I am the Knight of Embers. I was born dreaming of you, and it has been my life’s ambition to draw you into nightmare.
Malyck:Why? Why do you want me so badly that you would waste lives just to capture me?
Knight of Embers:Because you are the key to our freedom from Ventari’s false laws. Your coming marks the turn of the tide between Dream and nightmare.
Knight of Embers:With your appearance, the truth grows ever closer. Come, the grand duchess awaits in the Venlin Vale.
“A Different Dream”
Amaranda the Lonesome: Gladly. Here, let me look upon you, sapling. Let me gaze into your eyes.
[…]
Amaranda the Lonesome: A distant shore—and darkness. A root, a cave…you. You are the seed. What Ronan knew and never told still lingers in the Dream.
Malyck: What does that mean?
Trahearne: It means my fears are well founded. You were not born of the Pale Tree, Malyck. We cannot see your Dream; you cannot see ours. I must return to the Grove and speak to the Pale Tree.
Edit:
Why did the NPCs not want to know what Scarlett had unleashed? Us the players of course know what has happened because of the cutscene, but none of the NPCs will.
It just came across as rather moronic that they didn’t care about what was coming. Frustrating to watch to be honest.
They probably don’t understand the full impact of what happened yet. I don’t know how many hours/days/weeks/months/years it takes for a dragon to wake up completely, shake off the dirt and go wreak havoc but it’s sort of safe to say they may not know she’s smacked a dragon yet.

Glad to see that this issue is being looked at, first of all. Thank you guys!
Count me in with those who can’t play the game because FPS is horrible. I’ve always run 15-19 FPS on lowest settings, so to have it drop to half a frame every 5 seconds in a “zerg” of 10 with everyone trying to hit a boss is beyond devastating. I can’t run with the world boss farm on my server, I can’t go anywhere near WvW, I can’t even play certain dungeon paths because the ambient effects tank my framerate to oblivion (I’m looking at you CoE p3). My experience of Tyria has shrunk about a third, and I’m worried it may get even smaller if this continues.
Running a 2011 i7 Macbook Air, 4GB RAM, OS 10.9.1.
115-Zinnia Epsilon, please
And I will try to be there!
Jumping in to add my own opinions.
The main thing that I agree with so heartily here is the World Exploration. In my personal opinion one of the most daunting tasks on a new alt is the world exploration to get waypoints. I have 4 level 80s right now, and have a character of every profession that I’m working on leveling. It is so painful and obnoxious that I have to spend so many play hours just running around the map on an alt to grab every waypoint so that I can use my new alt in old situations. If you guys made waypoints account bound it would make alt lovers like myself incredibly happy. World Exploration is the most grindy, least enjoyable, thing that you have to do in this game, and after doing world completion once for my legendary I never want to do it again.
I agree in that it’s daunting but I LOVE world exploration and try to get different waypoints and such on my alts. I have 10 80’s and am working on the 11th and after the first 2 or 3 times to get a waypoint in Fireheart, as example, it isn’t a big deal; at least, to me.
I’d be much more accepting of the design someone proposed above where a player would need X number of dungeon tokens (maybe individual dungeons, maybe combined dungeons) + Y number of Guild Commendations, + Z number of Fractal Relics as a reasonable means of Ascended Gear acquisition for PvE players.
It touches every single aspect of “end-game” (just to assign a term…not that I approve of said term) PvE content currently available in Guild Wars 2 that virtually ANY player can complete regardless of skill level. It’s just a time investment, but it’s one that works towards a goal, which is always better than RNG.
And for those of us who have tiny guilds that aren’t large enough to get guild commendations? We’d be screwed. I do not want to have to join a large guild just for guild commendations. And people who don’t like fracs? Screwed. Dungeons I wouldn’t mind so much but I know a few people who wouldn’t want to run dungeons just for gear.
Greetings!
Are you tired of running the frost gorge and Queensdale champ trains over and over? Is it hard work finding anyone at 2am to help you kill Shadow Behemoth? Would you like to get boss achievements or one guaranteed daily rare to sell or salvage?
We want YOU for the Gunnar’s Hold World Tour!
The World Tour was born back in August out of the need for our fellow late night people to kill bosses and run several of the temples for loot, karma and simply to have fun! Troy Callindrael and I (Rosanthea) run the tour 6 days a week (except for Saturdays) at reset (00.00 UTC).
EVERYONE is welcome. It doesn’t matter if you are a guest, a newbie to the game or have never done a temple before-Troy and I are patient and willing to teach you how to navigate Flame Temple Tombs or help you to take down The Shatterer for good!
The fun starts Sunday-Friday at 00.00 UTC in Lion’s Arch with reminders called a half hour and 15 minutes before start. At reset, we will mark a waypoint for you to join us at and the fun begins!
Typically, we hit 12 bosses per night over 3-4 hours of Tour. Fire Elemental, Great Jungle Wurm, Shadow Behemoth, Modniir Ulgoth, Dredge Commissar, The Frozen Maw, Megadestroyer, Inquest Mark II Golem, Rhendak the Crazed in Flame Temple Tombs, Foulbear Kraal Chieftain, Fire Shaman, and Temple of Dwayna. Occasionally we will hit Melandru or Lyssa but they are rare exceptions. The Shatterer and Taidha Covington are also done IF they are up.
We do NOT hit the other temples (Balthazar, Grenth), Karka Queen, Claw or Tequatl.
if you would like to join us, please join us on Gunnar’s Hold in Lion’s Arch! We will see you there!
snip
Third way (will probably be nerfed but still doable) – getting a ranger, or two, or three to 1600+ range the boss – 1500 range trait + peircing can give you upwards of 1700 total range, need at least 2 front liners (preferably guards) who “tank” the aggro of the tree, they will be in the range of the tree’s spider spawn ranged attack, and they will be the ones dodging, the rangers are out of range of the spawn attack but will still get hit by massive range from time to time.
Can confirm this way works. 2 rangers, 1 longbow warrior, 2 guardians. Stand in entrance way, there’s some branches on the right side that stick out a little bit that mark where you should stand. The rangers and I (the warrior) all traited for longer range. I used warbanner and shouts to buff us with might and fury as we shot the tree down; guardians used staff and shouts for extra might. The guardians nuked the spiders that came near us. However, we had next to no spiders near us until the very end because A. we made sure Morrigu was dead, and B. the tree telegraphed his shaking very well. Watch for him to pound ground with fist then wait 2 seconds and dodge to left or right. Bring condi removal as if you don’t dodge you get insta 25 stacks of vulnerability on you. It took about 10 minutes to kill the tree but it worked very well and I was happy as a clam since I needed to finish the path.
But yet. The fact that in order to proceed with the path the NPC MUST be dead is broken. I also agree that the spiders refusing to despawn is also very much broken.
Btw, in case you guys didn’t know:
On GH, a small group of us run the World Tour 6 days a week just after reset-all bosses except Teq, Taidha, the temples, claw and karka queen; this includes Megadestroyer. Saturdays are our day off from the tour.
Just as a friendly notice if you’re looking to come join for a bit of boss farming and can’t join for this event.
(Back to your regularly scheduled thread: I will join for this, Duke! I missed the one in August.)

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Stop-Beckoning-At-Me-You-Spammer/first#post2842713"
This thread I just posted also mentions that the issue is happening in the Black Citadel too.
In both Black Citadel and the Grove, keep in mind that I am NOWHERE near the Mist Warrior I’m still being beckoned at. Even in the grove, when I am 2 floors below the Mist Warrior, I’m still being hit with the beckoning spam. Make it stop!
I don’t want my access to a SP or POI blocked because a waypoint is contested and there’s a septillion mobs waiting nearby to nom my face off until the others on the server can be bothered enough to go recap the village. Would create even higher demand for certain classes and even lower demand for others, leading to more imbalance and more QQ and on and on..
I see this as more of a problem with map completion (a reward/carrot) than with the interesting mechanic that is being proposed. I’d rather it not be the case that interesting mechanics have to be put aside because they’ll interfere with reward access. I think the game should be primarily about fun with rewards put into supplement the already fun activity. If rewards are getting in the way of introducing fun and interesting mechanics, then something is wrong with the reward system. That said, there is no reason the invasion objectives can’t scale based on player population in the current map.
For me personally, I find the game more fun when I’m not paying attention to the carrots and just exploring the world and encountering events as they unfold on my journey.
I’m working on map completion on 2 chars at once (one for her Bifrost, the other just because map completion is an awesome way to level). So in a sense I -am- paying attention to the carrots and letting the map unfold for me at the same time as I hate speedclearing anything (except for Orr but that is a different story). That said, I have no problems with the interesting mechanics people are proposing…so long as they are not overdone. Unfortunately ANet tends to overdo things.
(edited by Kyven.7514)
I guess my whole point to this post is that without real meaningful consequences we may as well be furniture. Devs please take a page from the way some things in WvW are handled; leaving WvW to the enemies will leave you having to ACTUALLY WORK to regain your ground, and IMO it should be the same in the PvE world. Until it is done in a way that we can and do get hooped for letting things fail, we are no better than bystanders in your game.
In many points I agree with your post BUT what about the timers for the events? What will happen to, say, Harathi Hinterlands at night when no one is on the map and centaurs are taking the entire place over for several hours each night? Will we have to constantly work at clearing the map every day? (Not such a bad thing imo as it would encourage the people in LA to spread out and help defend the map but still). Plenty of people in WvW matchup threads QQ about “nightcapping” and want Anet to stop it. If I’m wandering Tyria I don’t want my access to a SP or POI blocked because a waypoint is contested and there’s a septillion mobs waiting nearby to nom my face off until the others on the server can be bothered enough to go recap the village. Would create even higher demand for certain classes and even lower demand for others, leading to more imbalance and more QQ and on and on.
Elsewhere up thread someone else said that all wps should be contested on a map, which would make it difficult to get around lest you die-unless you’re somehow revived by, I dunno, a wandering band of Priests of Dwayna or medic golems or St. Bernard type Sylvan hounds or members of an Order or Pact who are stationed in an area nearby or so on who patrol loops around certain areas. (Actually the St. Bernard Sylvan Hounds would be quite funny, with casks of omnomberry juice around their necks). I have mixed feelings about all wps contested unless they implement some sort of ressing idea.
The guild problem seems to have been fixed for me, but it is now affecting a guildie of mine. The game insists he is not in the guild even though when I check the guild screen he is in the guild, but shows as offline. When I right click his portrait, it shows that I can invite him.
Edit: Tried re-inviting him to the guild and it worked, oddly. He is now back in the guild and able to do all the guild things as before. Very odd, since no one kicked him in the first place.
(edited by Kyven.7514)
I’m in Ebonhawke in the Fields of Ruin atm and cannot represent my guild or access the guild bank. Have not tested it on other chars but my new engineer cannot represent the guild.
Tied into this problem is that as the engineer I cannot activate guild upgrades even though I am co-leader of the guild with all ranks and privileges.
Edit: When I went to DR, I was able to represent the guild and activate upgrades.
(edited by Kyven.7514)
Still not fixed for me. :/
2 complete client restarts and an hour wait later, I still can’t buy off the TP. It hangs for a few seconds and then tells me that it doesn’t match any buy listings, even when the items has several THOUSAND listed at the price I’m buying at. Down forum there’s people complaining they can’t sell and get an “upgrade your account” message. I don’t have any messages except the not able to buy thing.
NA player on an EU server: Gunnar’s Hold.
I just bumrushed to Megadestroyer when I noticed he was up-got in a few hits. Even though he is a champion (and a world boss), he does not give champion loot (the coffers/bags/boxes/whatever).

Special thanks to the poor Asura guardian from FSP (guild was Hunt or Head or some such), I’m sorry I wrecked you when you were roaming.
And to the stealth troll thief from AS (Le Croix Du Sud) who helped me test my newest mesmer’s build. It worked perfectly for running away from you. Still not sure why you didn’t follow me into the lake, there was no trap or anything waiting for you. /shrug Oh well.
There’s lots of ancient bugs that Anet haven’t fixed yet, still doesn’t mean we can’t report them and give them a gentle reminder every so often.
I’ve seen many rogue, “flying” mesmer clones at Claw, Shatterer and Golem. For some reason, the clones find an invisible platform of some sort and stay in front of Claw’s snout or above Shatterer’s back or on top of Golem itself and auto attack until/if they are killed. The clones in my screenshot attacked on top of Golem for the entire fight from when they were spawned and were unable to be killed. (They may be hard to see but they’re there-just under the top middle of the screen and right above the big red target in the middle).
No one found the Monty Python reference in Harathi Hinterlands yet?
At Restricted Zone XRB, if you fail the event in that area (collecting sparks and then defending the assistant), the assistant will walk about singing about how she has a lovely bunch of data collectors, fiddle dee dee…
Haven’t yet played against FSP personally but nice to see our French friends again. /wave
Here’s a quick screenshot of 2 unghostly ghosts in Ashford, taken just a few minutes ago. I haven’t noticed anything with the mesmer phantasms yet, but then again I haven’t been playing my mesmer the past couple days. Will post if I get a screenshot!
For now I’m chalking it up to it’s all Scarlet’s fault…her constant world invasions are sucking away the ghostly essence from mesmers and ghosts (hey that power’s gotta come from somewhere, right?).
This promises to be an entertaining matchup (please refer to picture).
To their credit they did eventually notice (after having chased us from the south camp, round the ruins and all the way to bay NW gate) and managed to stop our commander in the lords room.. but none the less it all worked very nicely because as they did that, TEO broke through both bay gates completely unchallenge. The blob returned to bay, we went back to hills to find both the outer and inner were at <20% – free cap time!
The moral of the story of course being a blob, however big, can only do one thing at a time.
This post and the picture made me laugh. You win a free cookie, will send it to you in game.
First of all, thank you for finally fixing the Ebonhawk crafters so I can purchase supplies from them now.
For being the “main” city for Ascalonians, Ebonhawke has very few merchants. And what bugs me most is that there isn’t a “plain” merchant that sells a variety of kits and picks and such like in LA. Maybe stick one merchant like that near the trading post/bank/guild bank thingy? I’d be happy.
(And fix or kill off Vanguard Benni…I’m convinced he’s broken after every patch “for the lulz”).
That’s actually a kind of cool looking bug even though it hurts my eyes.
Agree: friend of mine reported getting a support token drop. Not sure where he got it from as we didn’t go any jump puzzles but he had it.
Phew, it was a bug. Yay!
I just did the one in EB and didn’t see my badges go up in my collection. Is this intended or a bug?
There is a chance they directly go to to wallet and didn’t display in inventory. Also if you clicked decompose all collectables before checking it went to wallet for sure. Check next time how many you have in wallet and then after you open a chest to see if number changed.
If you are already checking wallet and it’s not there then it’s probably a bug especially if other puzzles still give badges.
I did check my wallet before and after the puzzle, and before and after doing one of the other BL ones. No change each time. The other people who were with me also reported no change.
On one hand, i would say its nice if badges no longer drop from JPs. theres no more need for ppl unskilled in pvp to be utter cannon fodders for campers who take the best ground against the worst players in pvp. On the other hand, why do the JP anyways? The loot is hardly superb. and most of the blueprints arent that hard to get anyways. (i like doing the puzzle anyhow, badges or not)
I keep a stack of siege plans of 10x each for those “just in case moments”, plus it’s free siege. Anything free is good. Sometimes if a commander asks in map chat if anyone would like to donate siege, most likely I throw a couple of my extra plans their way, since they’re the ones leading us to victory – so to speak, and are normally the ones that spend siege out of their own coin. I would like to think some PvErs do the JPs in order to get the free siege and donate to their guild members / commanders who actually spend most of their time in WvW.
What gripes me is that when I did OS (it was empty when I did it at the time) there was no badges. Imagine being on a server who isn’t so lucky and getting camped within OS, only to finally reach the chest on top and find out all your measly work is just for an arrow cart or flame ram blue print + 2 -3 random greens, and some crappy coin. If that’s the case, there would be no incentive to actually go inside OS – except to JP grief/deny the people wanting to get the chest up top, since most of the blueprints are dirt cheap.
I like donating siege to commanders as well; or just dropping it where they need it on the rare occasions that I do follow the commander. And I also like doing OS and the other wvw puzzles. Back before achievement chests, I got my Gift of Battle for Juggernaut by jumping the 3 BL puzzles on a daily basis, plus joining the zerg. But if the badges are removed, then what incentive do I have for jumping those puzzles anymore? My monthly is done, I only have 6 more puzzles to jump to complete the jump puzzle category. I do puzzles for the achievement but in the case of the wvw ones it was nice to get a reward for something I would otherwise not like to do: join the zerg and put my pve based combat skills against people who love pvp style combat and become someone’s free loot bag over and over and over and….
I know a lot of people are already annoyed that WvW maps are required for world completion and the Gifts of World Exploration for legendaries. I’d be pleased as heck if the badges were taken out of the achievement chests entirely and it went back to jump puzzles to get the badges again. Just my opinion. /shrug
