I just did the one in EB and didn’t see my badges go up in my collection. Is this intended or a bug?
Miller’s: STOP griefing us in the EB JP please. Seriously.
Guilds IT and HI, I am looking at you. Stop.

Not being mean, just curious: why do you have so many cooking materials? TP flipping?
If there’s one thing I really don’t like on asura females it’s that all armor sets use the male models. A good example where I wish they had separate female sets is the Pit Fighter/Yakkington/Jalis/whatever armor. Appropriate for males since it’s a nearly topless armor set save for a band across the chest, but my females shouldn’t really wander around topless (though they don’t have anything to show for it).
This has been banging around in my head ever since it was announced we would be getting Molten Facility and Aetherblade Retreat as fractals. And now that we get to pick either Thaumanova or Abbaddon as the 3rd fractal, I came up with this idea. Bear in mind I don’t really play fractals but if my idea gets turned into reality I would be in fractals much more often.
New Fractal Paths: Glory of Tyria’s Past, Randomize Me, Pick and Choose
When you enter the fractal main area, you would talk to Deesa and she would give you a timed choice like you get when you pick a path in dungeons. “Regular Fractals”, “Glory of Tyria’s Past” “Randomize Me!” or “Pick and Choose”.
Regular Fractals would be the fractals that we all know and love, with Jade Maw being at the end as normal.
Glory of Tyria’s Past would then involve you going to a different, smaller gate next to a Priory Scholar (we’ll call him “Alyx”). Interacting with Alyx would come up with some sort of babble about how these fractals need to be explored by the Priory as they include important historical moments in Tyria’s history. Entering that gate would take you through randomized Molten Facility, Aetherblade Retreat and Thaumanova instances with Abbaddon serving as that path’s Jade Maw. And any new temporary content dungeons would be placed in this category of course, randomized as per regular fractals.
Randomize Me would include a mix of the regular fractals, the Tyria’s Past ones and randomized either Jade Maw or Abbaddon at the end.
Pick and Choose would let you choose what fractals you wanted. You would get one choice from the regular path, one choice from the Tyria’s Past path, the game would randomize a third choice and if you wanted you could pick either Jade Maw or Abbaddon or let the game randomize that too. HOWEVER. To stop people from picking only the easiest paths, you would implement a DR on all five members of the party that they could only pick the “Pick and Choose” path once per day, account bound. Because people will be screaming bloody murder about that, make the reward at the very end of the Pick and Choose path something prestigious-10 of a randomized new legendary crafting material, or a guaranteed choice of one rare and one exotic, or a token to turn into the gem store for a bag of crafting goods or boosters or something like that.
Whatever path you take with the exception of the Randomize Me path, your agony resistance, the loot, the mobs and everything else would stay the same. So if you are ranked level 10 now, even if you enter any of the other paths, your AR would still be level 10, you would get the same rewards and so on. With the Randomize Me path, your AR would stay the same (level 10 agony on a level 10 path) but the reward would be different.

Anet, I really want you guys to implement my idea, I’d love to be able to pick what “path” of fractals I want to take and knowing there’s a guaranteed chance I would get to play Molten Facility, my favorite dungeon of all time. I also know that whoever designed Thaumanova or Abbaddon probably did it with the expectation that their fractal would probably never make it into the game, but I don’t want to choose the fractals, they both sound amazing and I want to play them both.
What do you guys think?
(edited by Kyven.7514)
Hey Fort Ranik…why haven’t you guys tried to reclaim more stuff yet? Then again it is around 5-6 am for you guys…
I do wish the guild [OVEN] on Ranik didn’t feel the need to exclusively grief us poor GHers and ignore the Arborstone guy who was trying to do the EB JP with us.
I’ve been out of the WvW loop for a couple weeks and didn’t even realize tonight was reset night. Was a little confused when the Ranik guys who were helping my guildie and I in CoE earlier tonight said we were facing them…
Good luck, have fun, see you on the battlefield!
Thank you Anet, I love the kite!
Edit: Someone said upthread that the kite defies gravity. True…but I just pretend that someone put a spell on it to make it permanently float or something. Doesn’t bother me.

I know it’s been complained about on reddit before, but sometimes when running or casting spells, my asuras’ heads will turtle into their necks and then pop up a few seconds later. It isn’t as visible on my max height asura but this one I created just a few moments ago has it very visible.
This image shows the head turtled into the neck:

Any chance of a fix? It’s starting to annoy me.
Far Shiverpeaks? So EU? Hit me up in game tomorrow, I can always take my low level alts around the map by guesting, I don’t mind at all.
As a matter of fact, I have a level 20 sylvari who could do with some levels.
Just double checked. Its stormbluff. The NA one. Thanks for the offer though.
Awww. Oh well.
Have you tried reddit as well? They sometimes have people who say “hey I’m new to the game, I’m on blahblah server, would anyone like to level with me?” Lots of people would be willing to help. Don’t despair yet.
Also, Erasculio is partly right in that the story gets “worse”-it gets slightly harder as you go along. It’s MUCH easier to do the story when you are 5-10 levels above the recommended level. And not all the dungeons are used to make a quick buck-I’ve been playing Ascalonian Catacombs and Sorrow’s Embrace (level 30 and level 60) to level alts. If you have a good group, the runs can be anywhere from 15 minutes to around an hour at the worst. Neither of those dungeons are known for their rewards. That dungeon that everyone farms for easy money is Citadel of Flame, explorable path 1.
Eras is also correct in that you are automatically downscaled if you enter a low level area. Your characters health and level are downscaled to match the area but your armor and weapons are not; so you can in theory waltz into Wayfarer Foothills (norn area) and take on 2 level 7 vets by yourself at level 75 with barely a scratch on you.
And Eras is also correct in that Orr (the level 70-80 southernmost region) is mostly used to farm. It’s an extremely harsh area, filled with veterans and champions, the waypoints are often contested making death a nightmare and not many people want to go there alone.
The bottom line is that most of the time in this game you will be alone, which makes it great sometimes, but like you’re experiencing, makes it not that great if you aren’t used to it. That said, ask for help like I said above.
And if you have questions, don’t me shy about whispering me either even though I’m in the EU. I’m more than happy to help.
(edited by Kyven.7514)
Thanks guys. I am in the shiverbluff(???) server. Something like that. Said it was high pop.
Also, I am part of a guild already. They are great guys, and they do a lot of stuff. No doubt about that. But they are focused on the higher end stuff. I don’t want to ask them to come down to the starting area so they can kill slugs for 400xp. Its a waste of time for them and wouldn’t make me feel good asking.
Sucks to hear about Sylvari being low pop areas. I chose them because they looked cool, heh. And no, I haven’t been to lions arch. I frankly don’t even know how to get there, nor what I would do if I did. I still have to finish my solo missions first anyways. Going to have to go to Metrica Province and do the heart missions over there to progress.
I went into WvW, but was isntantly overwhelmed. Plus like someone said, upscaled people probably just get schooled anyways.

I’m doing map completion on a second char. I agree with the repetitiveness of exploration; but it’s easier the 2nd time around as I’ve gone through the areas once already.
Having said that, I disagree it should be account bound and like it to be character bound like it already is. It gives me a sense of “I loved this character enough to travel the entire world of Tyria with him/her, s/he’s earned the right to that gold star”.
It all depends what server you’re on and if you want to make/join a guild. I know some of the lower pop servers tend to be very dead in the lower areas. What server are you on?
Have you gone to Lion’s Arch yet? You’ll be guaranteed to find everyone there and you should ask in chat if you can find a guild. Most PvE guilds will be happy to help new players. WvW is also an option but since you’re only a level 19, enemies will focus you and kill you more. Upscaled players=easy kills=easy loot.
The mesmer is my 5th 80. I know ALL about Orr. And believe me, I hate it.
Pic shows a champion krait near Wrathwave Deeps in Sparkfly Fen. My poor mesmer gets stomped every time I approach the structure to try to get the stupid vista. Yet I did this area only a couple weeks or so ago with my warrior and I don’t remember seeing this guy at all. Did he change? Was this thing added? Or I was lucky because someone had killed the champ allowing me to get the vista in peace?
If he was added or changed…why on EARTH would you put a champ next to a chest in an area where people are trying only to get a vista? A veteran I can see, but a champ? And how the heck can he be downgraded or removed or even shifted to be underwater instead?
Edit to add: I snuck past the champ by distracting it with a few clones and Veil, but what about profs who don’t have that ability?
(edited by Kyven.7514)
We got AG for the 2nd week in a row? Nice. Maybe I’ll see Oran again and show off my newly 80’d asura mesmer. :p
Anybody up for some 1v1s tomorrow or this week at all?
Cheers to the Dzag elem from SF and the AG guardian from BOOM for the duel on EB last night even though I didn’t fight.
I was afk near the green spawn area, just out of the reach of the invulnerability spot; when I came back the guardian had used his hammer to knock me back into the invulnerability and gave me a mini lecture about akitteng in dangerous areas. Partied up, played on the marriner’s horns for a bit then a fellow mesmer came by and gave them a really awesome fight. Was watching them go at it for 20 minutes and they couldn’t even touch her. The Dzag and AG were getting a little frustrated but my fellow mes was laughing her butt off.
Then other Dzag and AG peeps came by and spoiled the fun by attacking all of us. Wah wah wahhhh.
Was a good morning.
Yes it was.

Alrighty. Can we get this thread back on track, no qq about your guild is better than mine or bumcluckery from randoms no matter how entertaining it is? Cheers, ladies and gents.
Is someone organizing any duels tomorrow? I’d be happy to join in, get some practice.
I like not having the mound to the east, actually, it makes things more challenging. But I -don’t- like the full health thing. If we’ve already killed him partially during the first part of the event, shouldn’t his health, y’know, be the same when he moves to the second part? Like the way it was before? If Anet insists on having the regen thing, that I agree with others, his rewards should be buffed. I got blues, greens and my one guaranteed rare which was a short bow that was worth next to nothing so I salvaged it.
Hi again Dzagonur people! /wave
Hi AG people! Looking forward to playing with you, too!
See you on the battlefield!
Yesterday, i lost all my respect to [FURY] and others GH guilds. You know how to blob well. But hey! I dont blame you. You need 60+ to beat 17 ppl from [INC], it must be 3 vs 1.
That was funny day. Mucho bagoz from your souls.
That’s funny, because 15 v 4 is how much of BT rolled yesterday trying to kill the group of 4 of us I mentioned upthread. Twice. Blobs will be blobs if they are from GH, BT, WsR or anyone else.
I -think- it was INC who tried to rush WsR Bay very late last night for me/early for you (1 am EST/6 am GMT) and who let my lowbie ele test out her group nuke skills. THAT was fun for the 5 minutes it took to kill me with 3-4 v 1.
You’re right, Zonderbon, I shouldn’t have aired my grievances in public. My apologies. PRXM, for what it’s worth, is a good guild. My respect to them.
Edit: And experience decided to prove PRXM’s point. 4 of us tried taking Briar and Vale on WsR about 30 mins ago when a BT mini zerg (10ish people?) came by and crushed us. Without fail, they went after me and the other lowbie ele and used us as a free rally to kill the others in our group.
Looks like I owe PRXM an apology. I’m sorry guys. Feel free to go “I told you so” as much as you want
Everything is a learning experience in WvW. What I expect of PRXM is to set an example of what can be achieved through coordination. I am always here to help and give advice where it is wanted, and if I don’t know the answer, I will find someone who does.
That being said, I don’t condone the attitude of said member towards you. I will only add that frustrations often spike in WvW, and as such tempers can get away from people. PRXM are friends first and foremost, and while several of our members can swear like a champions in our raids, such unwarranted language towards people outside the guild is not tolerated.Never hesitate to get in touch if you need to, Aisi xx
Cheers, but they didn’t curse at me or even really used harsh language. I was told to not run with them, wasn’t told why (now I know), and even when someone said “ignore him, it’s ok” I went off into a small group anyway. Ah well. It’s done with, I know now that it’s better to run as an 80 with PRXM to avoid being someone’s rally, it’s all good.
Anywho. I wanted to say thank you to Messeyi and Jia from PRXM who teamed up to help us in our suicide mission to do Hills in WsR tonight. Messeyi helped the 2 of us from TI to get the gate down and start to ram north gate before a bunker asura ele from BT and the random guards/scouts/archers outside the gate decided to stomp all of us. Jia helped us and the lowbie mesmer I mentioned up thread cap a few camps until we got steamrolled by that BT mini zerg that used us as rallies.

Video – Praxium meet Incendies among the PUGs. Some [CORE] and [CREW] present. I’m grateful for the opportunity. Fun stuff.
Lead: The Alpha Seal
All fun and games until one of your elistist guild members told me off for bringing my midbie mes to the group to level with you. That hurt and pretty much tarnished my view of the guild as a whole. I get that you’re trying to run as a whole and didn’t want to deal with the whole constant rezzing thing but tell that guildie to not say stuff like that. I have as much right to level an alt with your group as does a person who has only bought the game has to level his first char.
Granted, someone -did- say to ignore him and to run with you guys anyways…but I went off and leveled with the other commander who appeared on the map. So :/
Edit @ Verbis: Yes you can. It’s dead useful to skip to other maps without having to either hit B or wp all the way back to your BL and use the gates.
Our own guildies arent allowed to bring underlevelled characters so why should we welcome non guildies to do this? We have let many non [PRXM] players join our chat and run with if they bring a tanky 80. If you want to run alongside us you can obey our rules. Im sure that [SOE] and [FURY] would have given you the same.
Then that should’ve been made clear in the first place rather than a random “Oy! You! Get out of our group!” Less hurt feelings. I’ll remember that next time.

Special thanks to the guys from WvW and SS on BT (they know who they are) for the duels last night! And no love to the WsR zerg who thought it would be great fun to stomp us in the middle of dueling for the lulz.
Poor Blacktide are being -creamed- at the moment. I feel bad.
Edit: Well they’re being less creamed now that people are waking up, but this shows that we were ticking 595 while we were taking down Sunnyhill at 6am (and with a gate that refused to die after being beaten down by 5 golems, a ram and 3 mesmers with Time Warp). So, hopefully GH can keep up this strong pace!
(edited by Kyven.7514)
Haven’t had the chance to pop into wvw since the reset but wow…GH is already taking the lead. See you guys on the battlefield.
Personally I think the arrow of causation points the other way: when we get a lot of people in WvW we start winning!
It’s all about momentum.
I agree. If we can keep the momentum going and show some of our PvE Guild’s that W3 can be fun and rewarding even when our back’s are against the wall, and it will happen again sooner or later, then it can do nothing but good. W3 isn’t just about the point’s, at least on Gunner’s, it’s about the community.
Agree. Wvw is quite fun and every so often TI will pop in to help/get free loot bags. Hell, on Friday I was in that zerg with my mid level mes helping out, getting stomped and stomping people. I haven’t been in there for a couple days because of Dragon Bash and finally finishing world completion on my warrior (after 3 months XD) but I’ll pop in tomorrow.
Mesmer meetup sounds fun.
I have an Asura mesmer too!!!! If you ever find an Asura BNF Mesmer that sucks really hard thats me
I simply can’t get along with the Mesmerstyle.
I have an Asura mesmer, too! I love her to bits.
I could help you, if you like.
Hey RioT thief that tried to shank me? Don’t run off before you finished the job. Seriously. My lowbie mes was on the ground, you could have stomped her…But you didn’t. So thank you.
I get the feeling erasculio was talking about the people most of us would find scum: murderers, rapists, etc. But it did come off as a bit “….”
Exactly what Danikat said. I don’t do the RNG boxes for this reason, I don’t care about fancy skins or minis. So this is a free gift to me. It isn’t a bribe, it isn’t a trick to blind me to the dark motives the game’s developers may or may not have to make me not notice the current state of the game and how little they listen to us and other tinfoil hat conspiracies. It’s only a gift with 3 minis I can say “oh cool!” and toss into my bank.
Thank you Anet, I appreciate it.
In case you didn’t know, you can get the full 250 Silver Doubloons from the Mystic Forge-put in low level gems. Way cheaper, and I would bet even less time consuming than trying to board all the gold you need to buy that specific ingredient.
On the other hand, IMHO, your goals are not realistic unless you can play nonstop. One Legendary is time-consuming enough… please don’t do this to yourself, as I doubt ANet intended for players to dual-wield Incinerators after one week of the game going live. There are plenty of more realistic and still nice weapon skins to acquire on your timetable-it isn’t ANet “ruining your fun”, but more you wanting the hard to get stuff much too soon, and multiple times.
Do you really even need these many Legendaries so soon? And how is this the game’s problem? (BTW, I do think that precursors are too hard to get for most casuals, but what you seem to want is much like me saying “I wish I could earn 453,954 dollars in two months, life is so unfair!”)
Best wishes on your wedding plans.
Ooooh I didn’t know about the doubloons, cheers!
And I don’t want every Legendary/exotic weapon to fall in my lap at the same time. Juggernaut first, 6-9 months after that Bifrost, 6-9 months after that the first of the Infinite Lights and so on. Long term goals.
And thank you.
No, you’re not. Anet should just let everyone get everything at their own time table, you could all leave the game and we can all find another one, because that’s what would end up happening.
For everyone person who complains on these forums, there are probably a bunch more who are not complaining because they’re new and don’t know this stuff is nerfed.
Anet doesn’t have hundreds of options. They can’t “fix” the game in a month or two. So these things WILL happen, and some people WILL leave. Whether you’re one of them or not is completely up to you.
But Anet is doing what they have to do for the good of the game, even if what that is kitten es off some people. You either can deal with it or you can’t. It won’t change what they’re going to do, because they need to keep the game going for the people who are enjoying it and playing it for more than just a legendary.
The new people will learn eventually that once they want a legendary or a hard to get exotic and want to farm for it, they won’t be able to and they will join the choir and scream about farming spots getting nerfed, too.
I know that they can’t fix the game in a month; did I say I wanted them to magically pull a bug free version from their behinds RIGHT NOW? Nope. I want to stick with this game and see what they have to offer through the rest of the summer, the fall, the winter and next spring. I have no issues with that.
Besides, I’m not playing for just the legendary. I play it because playing games with my boyfriend is fun. I play it because I’m an altoholic and want to play all the classes and experience all the things with each fresh new char. I play it because wandering the world and experiencing the beauty of Tyria is rewarding. I play it because kicking bums in wwv is satisfying.
What I don’t like is the attitude you have that because we are not in our 50’s and not had the same upbringing and life experiences as you that suddenly all us twenty and thirty somethings are impatient and expect to be given everything on a silver platter and don’t appreciate anything once we get it; just like your son. I expect nothing to be served up when I want it how I want it, including the legendary. I can wait for it. But would you agree that 6 to 9 months for a legendary is a decent amount of time to expect one? I’m going to assume that you’ve been playing since August, which was 10 months ago. You have your Legendary and from what I read, got it in about the same time as I want mine in the same method I want to get mine: by wandering the world, collecting mats, hoping for lucky drops, so on. So for you to sit here and tell me “Kyven, you are not patient enough for a legendary” is patronizing indeed. For that, you can go take a very long walk off a very short pier.
I don’t really have much of a problem with anything you’ve said. What you’re not seeing is that you’re still the exception not the rule. Far more patient that most players these days. And that’s part of the problem with the genre in general. As long as the bulk of the population wants things fast (and your fast isn’t everyone else’s fast, you’re pretty reasonable), MMORPGs will continue to suffer the same fate they’ve had these last five years. It’s the reliance on loot (and again I’m not saying YOUR reliance on loot, I’m talking generally) that has really sunk this genre for many of us.
And you know, my point of view is not just me. There are a whole lot of people who agree with me.
Glad that we could agree on something.
This is my first MMO and I enjoy the experience so far. And sometimes I do feel like the Skinner rat mentioned upthread-press button, expect reward. Sometimes it isn’t about the loot. It’s about finding a new thing in Brisban Wilds I hadn’t noticed before. It’s about learning a little more about Orr and wondering how beautiful it would have been back in the day. It’s about murdering as many of the enemy zerg as I can before they murder me. Perhaps the genre does rely a little too much on loot-I wouldn’t know. But I know enough that grinding is boring but necessary yet the spots to acquire drops for items is slowly disappearing for whatever reason without telling us the players why. And the mats for legendaries do require to a certain extent some grinding. That’s why so many of us are complaining.

@Kyven
Why is your boyfriend worth waiting for and not a Juggernaut/infinite lights/etc?
Because this is only a game. And games are temporary. In about 6-7 years (or hell 6-9 months) there will be new shinies that people will go after. Relationships, on the other hand, are permanent.
Of course it’s not wrong to want Juggernaut by September. But whether this is wrong or not isn’t really the point. The point is, the game doesn’t exist for you or any one person alone. Anet, like all companies, is a business, and all businesses need to make money to exist and pay staff. So the question becomes, what does the ability for you personally to get the Juggernaut by September do to the game as a whole?
The game itself has a great deal of potential and some glaring flaws. Some of the flaws probably didn’t show up till it launched and people ran through it. That means that Anet has been in damage control mode pretty much since launch. That also means that they need to find ways to keep people in game while they fix these things.
snip
There is nothing wrong with wanting a legendary weapon in six months or nine months or a year. But that has nothing to do with the game, only what you want.
I can appreciate that they are a business and want people to enjoy the game as much as possible/make goals as not as easy to get to make sure people play the game longer. Nor am I one of those who are frothing at the mouth and shrieking “ANET SUCKKKKKS” whenever something happens that I don’t like. I’m a patient woman. I can take my time getting what I want.
But at the same time…a friend of mine got her Bifrost the same way I want to get my Juggernaut. She played the game, collecting the dust and mats and buying what she could when she could. She farmed in spots, grinded out her last 40 Skill points in one night, a friend of hers got lucky in the forge and gave her The Legend. In 8 months, she got her legendary. But that was BEFORE the farming nerfs and other stealthy, sneaky things that Anet have done to prolong the experience of getting a legendary. Look at the forums. There are a lot of angry threads about the sneaky, underhanded, let’s-just-nerf-this-and-hope-the-players-don’t-notice stealth nerfs to popular farms. Orr is unpopulated and has been since the April patch that killed a lot of it. Even I’ve noticed some of my favorite spots in Frostgorge have had their loot changed. And we are NOT told about it, we’re supposed to guess.
So now I’m supposed to simply kick back, relax, play the game and explore the world while hoping that I get enough of the mats I want magically falls into my lap? I have been playing the game 3 months and I have only 20 Elaborate totems that I picked up myself. I have 43 Crystalline dust because my boyfriend gave me half of that. I have similar amounts of the other mats with little to no hope that I can get more because I don’t want to buy them off the TP. And yet Vayne here has 3000 hours over how many months with his Legendary already and my friend has her Bifrost. I want what they spent hours and hours of their time in about the same amount of time that they got it.
Vayne: you’re absolutely right. I agree with and respect your opinion on everything you said. Me having or not having Juggernaut and/or Bifrost and/or the double Infinite Light makes zero difference in the grand scheme of the game. Anet made a game for everyone. A game I enjoy. A game you enjoy. A game lots of us enjoy. I still enjoy this game as much every time I play as I did when I first installed it. It just gets me angry that if I want to spend some time farming on the one day of the week I do farm, my spots get nerfed into the ground. So what do people like me, who want to acquire a legendary by themselves with little to no TP buying, do if we can’t get the stuff we need?
Vayne: inb4 you say “then don’t farm hahaha”. Here’s the thing: I don’t make farming the end all be all of my play time. I pick ONE day out of the week and I go off in search of stuff to kill for mats. The other days I’m leveling alts, exploring the world, crafting items, reading the forums and so on. It’s disheartening to see a noticeable trend downwards in the amount of mats and stuff I used to get while Anet doesn’t tell us what they do.
Honestly if anyone by now has played a few hundred hours in this game can see how grindy GW2 has become, also how much enjoyment has been sucked away due to nerfs and loot limitations, its bad, really bad..
Vayne says have goals, i had goals, i finished it i made 8 professions at 80 fully geared, i’ve played over 3000 hours here too, i never wanted a legendary they are stupid skins aimed at the lowest common denominators to grind on..
My annoyance is the rest of the game is hindered by them, cannot craft anything nice because it needs the same crap legendaries need, so they are just as hard to make, to make anything is painful with the Crap GW2 economy and the Crap loot tables…
Hopping in here. Permit me a little story.
I’m one of those “kids” Vayne tends to like to lambast (I’m a little more than half his age) for wanting stuff now. I play this game with my boyfriend as a way for us to play together while I earn money and prepare to move to the UK to be with him. That is a long term goal to have and one that I WANT to take several years to accomplish as I pay down student loan debt and save for the move and our eventual wedding. My boyfriend is worth waiting for.
The Juggernaut? Not so much. I, too, want to have my Legendary for my warrior in a reasonable (6-9 months) amount of time. I hate paying money for mats and things unless I absolutely have to. Since I don’t want to spend money, the other option is to farm those mats. I, too, have noticed that the drop rate for mats and things has been nerfed into the ground. So I get to stretch my farming another 3-6 months and maybe I’ll get my Juggernaut in a year from now. But I don’t want it a year from now, I want it by September at the latest. So what am I going to do? Will I have to buck up and buy the mats off the TP even though I really don’t want to? Or do I have to scrimp the little IRL money I have, buy gems, convert to gold and just buy Juggernaut outright?
And Juggernaut isn’t even the least of my goals. I want Bifrost and I want double Infinite Light for my guardian and mesmer respectively, as well as full exotics/runes/trinkets/back pieces/stuff for all of my alts. Those are things that I will have to spend a fair bit of time praying that I get the mats for them. But if I can’t farm them easily, I’ll have to spend the gold for them and I don’t want to, except for the runes, the armor and some of the weapons. Period. Plain and simple.
Is it so wrong of me to want to have Juggernaut to start with by September, getting all the mats myself, spending when absolutely necessary and the other weapons over time? No, it isn’t. But when the avenues that I take to get those weapons are being shut down on a regular basis, can’t you see why I’m a little angry?
Edit: Also, some of the mats you CAN’T farm past a certain level. The silver doubloons for Juggernaut are only found on level 20-30 chars. So those I’ll need to buy. The lodestones and such I want to farm…but can’t as my spots are nerfed. So what can I do?

Thing is, is that we didn’t -look- like “regular” mesmers. We could have been eles or necros sans pets. We didn’t reveal we were mesmers until we got jumped and out popped the clones. MS came over the hill from us, how could they have known who we were?
I know shanking and being shanked is an integral part of wvw and I take that risk every time I step out from the citadel; but if I’m not hindering the enemy or fighting the enemy or anywhere near the enemy, it means I just want to be left in peace.
Meh. It just irritates me. So I guess I’ll go stomp some yaks in MS BL tonight to get my revenge.
MS loves to blob up and stomp people. BF and I were just going to the skritt camp in RoS BL for world completion yesterday-minding our own business; when 5 MS guards, wars and eles came and jumped us. My lowbie mes had no chance, BF’s mes lasted only a moment longer. Got stomped by another mini MS zerg today in our BL on the same lowbie mes when I was just roaming for world completion. Honestly? Not impressed and I’m really starting to hate MS.
(Yes someone will come in and say “then don’t take your lowbie mes into wvw lol”. And? I want world completion with the mes and want to get it as I level her. She has the right to be there same as your 80 fully geared ascended trinket zerker warrior does.)
Welcome back, RoS, hopefully we can kick your bums again.
MS: Not played you myself, I’m still new to WvW, but looking forward to it.
the only place you kick our bums is on the forums and in your dreams… Notice that we did not get steam rolled by UW and FR… came 2nd and would have won if not for a huge push by UW this morning.
Awesome for you guys.
I was rather impressed by GH last week by still keeping the spirit despite the massive numbers by RS and PS; as well we should. As far as bum kicking goes, we can leave that to the game, shall we? All in good fun.

Fab: I had ZERO issues with lag roaming around with the zerg and going from place to place, had minimal issues with the small scale fights we picked with random enemy zergs. It was during when we tried to take Hills and took Bay twice and lost it in the end that I had issues with the lag-both from the sheer number of enemies and from all the sparkly special effects. I dearly wish we could turn off spell effects in combat. I regularly get 2 fps at high populated events like wvw zergs. Annoying as heck, yes, but I still want to join in, have fun and kick some Piken and Riverside butt! :p
Asura/mini night was quite fun. Until we got roflstomped by both Piken and RS at Bay in PS BL. Seriously, I was ressed, took 2 steps, got crushed again. Couldn’t do a thing, watched my health drop faster than a penny off the Empire State building, couldn’t use Shadow Refuge, nothing. A lot of the other people quit around the same time I did.
All fun and games until the stupid amount of lag makes the game unplayable. I have no beef with RS or PS. None whatsoever; it’s wvw, I expect to be stomped regularly and to stomp people. But I DO have issues with lag. If you look at chat, so did a couple other people.
Vayle: pass along my props to the guy who has the zombie looking sylvari in your party. He looks really cool.

Never thought about it as a zombie look until people in my guild mentioned it.
Well whatever it is, it’s kitten cool.

Killing yaks at midnight/1am my time (5-6am GMT) was all fun and games until i became someone’s loot bag. PS norn warrior guy gaveme a good chase until he got me in the end. Oh well!
Last night was jump puzzle night to help our guildie get his monthly so of course we had to go into wvw-me with my current lowbie warrior, BF with his lowbie mesmer and guildie with his 80 necro. Flipped some camps in both PS and RS borderlands, got stomped on several times, stomped several people, have never laughed so hard or had so much fun in wvw since I started it 2 weeks ago.
I would like to apologize for my smack talking to the PS peeps who assaulted us at Redvale-I kind of got into the heat of the moment. With that said, that PS necro from FG-you WILL be mine.
