Guild Wars 2

Exploring Brisban with my 2nd warrior today and came across Fort Vandal in the southwest corner of the map (near Triforge Point Waypoint). Everything else around the fort is around level 23 or so (I know you can’t tell from the poor dead sylvari valiant but he’s a level 23). But on top of the fort are no less than 8 Champion Bandits who are level 80. Why the security? I’m really curious. Seems like a really beast place for a guild meeting hall.

I was excited!

“Yessss GH against Drakkar and miller-and we are GREEN! I can get my pois for world completion!!! Yahooo!”

And then, right before my eyes, it switched.

And I was like “….oh kitten”.

Anybody from Riverside willing to recruit me for about 10 mins while I finish that last corner of EB?

I figured I would collect the so far TWENTY threads I found on this topic into one giant megathread for easier searching. I myself am affected with this bug and it is annoying. I cannot enter dungeons. My friends list is often messed up, with 1 or 2 people showing as online when I know that 10+ are. Randomly kicked out of parties and dungeons. Suddenly I’m the only person in my guild, cannot use /g. I’m kicked out of parties and can’t use /p and when I’m invited back, I don’t see who’s inviting me back. I’ve sent in tickets, I’ve sent in bug reports and have heard jack skritt about it. I’ve done everything I can think of sans flying to company HQ to breathe down their necks.

It may be that this issue is more complicated than it looks, maybe someone is looking into this bug as we speak. Maybe it’s a complicated fix. Maybe the devs truly don’t give a skritt’s bum about it and we’re bugged forever and ever hallelujah amen. I don’t know. But I want answers. If there are this many people complaining about a bug, something should be done or said. Even if it’s just a “sorry, we don’t know how to fix it”. I don’t want compensation or anything. I just want to be able to play this game sans this game-breaking bug.

I am a unique case, I guess. NA player on an EU server.

The dungeon bug has been in place for me for about a month, it is as described above. I cannot enter dungeons with a party about 50% of the time unless I either get up to the portal to enter or guest on another server.

The party bug, however, is kitten me the kitten off. I’ll be in a party, everything will go well. Either I change maps or enter a dungeon and suddenly, no portraits, no names turning blue, but I can still talk in /p. I will be kicked out of my party about every 15 minutes or so for an hour. My poor long suffering boyfriend just invites me back.

Now. The party bug is annoying by itself…but it’s also getting worse by kicking me out of my guild. I cannot use /g, it doesn’t show I’m in a guild and it says my guild is a guild of 1, which isn’t true. I’m really angry.

Edit: Had a “serious error” when in Eternal Battlegrounds. After that, parties are completely kittened. I cannot enter a party, period. I’m not in a guild anymore. All I can do is /w.

Anet. FIX THIS. I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE NEW SOUTHSUN STUFF. I WANT MY PARTIES BACK. NOW.

What kitten me off the most was that Anaxandra was in rares but ran out of money to upgrade her weapons. She STILL melted faster than ice cream in the sun.

Cheers Jeffrey. I hated that portion of my Necro’s story-somehow she got it first try but my BF’s ele took around 20 tries since he couldn’t get the timing right. Hopefully this will help a lot of others!

I’m really angry at the moment. I got hit twice with a bug during the story already (when you destroy the eggs, sometimes the next round failed to break). This warrior managed to get killed so often by the crabs that spawn after the crablings that all of her armor broke off. Seeing as I thought that was strange, I decided to check what kind of damage she was getting. The screenshot speaks for itself. She was giving out around 100 dmg (haven’t upgraded her weapons yet) but the crab…

Hey devs? How is this fair?

So my bf and I are leveling Asura together and their “thing” is to have miniatures following them around like a pet (we call them “assistants”). There’s one problem-we’d like to be able to name them. We have names for them but why can’t we show them off to the world like Rangers can with their pets?

The second thing I’d like would be animations when you enter combat (even if they don’t do any damage) because it gets a little annoying to see my golem standing around like a dope while I’m shooting at enemies and BF’s Skritt has a sword that could be put to better use. If they would only at least try to help without any damage, then I’d be happier.

Tried it with my (then) 50ish necro in masterworks and had an 80 Guardian friend in full exotics with me. I outlived the Guardian but only by 30 seconds or so. We whittled him down to around 40% health but then we got killed by the fast respawning “drinking buddies”. Maybe nerf the respawn rates on the cronies and he’d be more workable. Soloing him? Prolly not unless I had my 80 warrior with me.

I should not be fearing for my warrior’s life when I bring her to CS. I refuse to bring my newly 80’d necro to CS because she will be squashed faster than a bug on a windshield if she so much as breathes near Penitent.

When players actually fear for their character’s lives, something needs to be changed. As it is, I’ll be farming Frostgorge.

After reading this thread and heading to Orr myself, I have to say that camp running the other day was not the same. The mobs were not as terrible as I was expecting but getting downed twice in less than five minutes with my warrior was irritating as heck, when before it was once maybe every hour or so, if that. Haven’t been back since.

I’m scared to run any temples, tbh, if they are as bad as everyone says.

Personally, I’d welcome more exotic armor that was -less- revealing. I don’t like having to transmute, but IMO some of the skimpy clothing looks terrible on my sylvari mesmer so I transmute anyway. And frankly, I don’t want to stare at either my norn or my human’s pixelboobs.

Well your partially right but if anet made new ways to spend ectos or now dumped materials the market wouldn’t be so very disadvantaging for 90% of the people.
I find it a serious problem if a casual player or regular farmer can’t make any money, just because the setting is like that, that most of the materials get almost useless. I think it’s anet’s turn to stop such a fossilization of the market by implementing something that makes it work again.
And no the materials don’t need to fall, BUT there should be viable ways to make money and not just pure randomness.

You are more than likely farming the wrong way if you aren’t making money. There are events out there that can be farmed for +7g an hour. And if you don’t like DR, then do Cof1 farm.

+7g per hour? I was lucky enough to only get 5g in about 8 hours of playing and that was my best day. I’d love to know what events get you that much in an hour because I’ve never seen them.
