Figured I’d log on to the forum to check out all the threads praising the new Lion’s Arch, but there were none so I guess I’d make it then.

Just wanted to say thank you, developers, for the new Lion’s Arch! It looks amazing!

My anger with the HoT price tag and lack of character slot has been alleviated.

Yes, bro, the gems that you buy using gold in-game have been bought with real money by someone somewhere down the road. They are not just created out of thin air when converting gold to gems. Gems are only created when bought with real money. The gold/gem conversion is an EXCHANGE. That’s why the gold/gem price ratio is constantly changing. If more people want to sell gems for gold, the price for gems in gold decreases. If more people want to buy gems with gold, the price increases.

Someone will still have to buy the gems, so I don’t see how they will make less money by letting us buy the expansion with gems. Granted the number of gems required cost as many € as buying the game directly.

It would probably make the price of gems in gold go through the roof, so Anet would still get their monies as people would rush to buy gems to sell for gold.

Yeah, bro. Yesterday 100 gems cost about 14 G. Now it is 21 G, and still rising. Guess it’s because people want to try the new gem exchange and that’s what drives the price up.

And the price for 100 gems have gone from 14 to 21 G during the night, and the price is still rising. Absolutely piggu disgusting!

I’d flip stuff on the TP and have another 1000 g 2 weeks later.

Inflation has been more than 50% during that year, so the real value of silk has still sunken.

Then what is holding the FPS back? Because the CPU is running at half speed and RAM is a little over 25% full.

So I retired my almost 4 year old GTX 570 in favor of the brand new GTX 970. I also upgraded from 4 to 16 GB of RAM because I saw that the RAM was always full or almost full when playing.

The problem is I don’t see much of an improvement. Fps is still low where there are many players. Take a look at this screenshot. You can also see my video settings. 22 fps in Lion’s Arch?

Price is now down to 59c…

So suddenly? The price has been stable the last month, varying only from 95c to 1s10c back and forth.

Why ?

Desolation. Levelers in all zones and regular Tequatl kills.

You can see resource nodes on the minimap if you zoom in <——- get that kitten on the list! I didn’t figure out untill I was level 70. :/

Desolation, brah. It’s certainly not desolate. We killed Tequatl both times I attended the event today. We must have been hundreds of players. I got a craptonne of loot and cheevs after the first kill.
