Ever since they reset the few slayer titles and stuff, the only mists essence I’ve been getting in Fractals 10+ is Vials… 3 in a row, and the last one at level 16. I need 1 glob to infuse my first ring, and I’m getting sick of seeing vials drop. I thought they weren’t supposed to past level 10. What’s going on here….

Chest – Cultural Tier 2
Arms – Heavenly Gauntlets (HoM)
Legs – Draconic
Boots – Heritage (HoM)
Shoulders – Splint Pauldrons
Result – Lenneth!

Finally got my Infinite Light crafted… PAIN IN THE KITTEN.

Looks awesome though.

Just need a decent helm, but there’s nothing that fits her yet

I’d love to have a support longbow for my Guardian. I hate using the scepter, its almost completely useless.

Gimme a healing AoE, some light fields, and a decent attack skill.

Lost a bunch of slayer points 3 weapon master points, GOLDEN, Lifetime survivor.

I just spent all my gold on an Infinite Light, have nowhere NEAR 200 gold anymore.

Will take me forever to get back up for that.

Not looking forward to lifetime survivor again either.

Really the only gold sinks needed are for those people with more than 1000 gold. For players who tend to maintain between 3-10 gold, anything more would break them out of being able to maintain that amount. Everyone in my guild has less than 100g.

I could have made a Bolt, if I’d had the precursor, but I went with Infinite Light instead, see less of those, and it looks cooler in my opinion. And it fits my character more since she’s modeled after Lenneth.

It all luck. I tossed in a bunch of rares and got 2 dawns and a dusk withing 20 or so minutes.

This was before they were priced at 500g a piece, but it still got my 3 80s geared in what I wanted them to be wearing.

The GS Guardian isn’t all that great, Hammer or mace, or go home. GS has no support on it, and the skills are pretty bad even damage wise. Hammer auto = protection 90% of the time, and if you trait it, the symbols heal you.

Sword/Focus is pretty good too, get 2 blinds with that, or 3 if you have the trait for it on activation of Virtue of Justice.

It wants the States abbreviation. If you put the full name it will do that.

Broken on Darkhaven as well. Stuck at the destroy the Dragon Totem phase. Happened some time early morning EST, was fine last night at 2 am, broken at 8:30 this morning.

I kinda felt the same way. I made an Infinite Light instead, finished it yesterday, and I love the thing. Looks awesome on my guardian.

Just finished my Infinite Light after much raging at the TP over Lodestone prices.

And you had the death penalty. Would love to see them put that in for people to experience for a weekend or something. They would appreciate the current system a lot more.

It discourages people from running full glass cannons if they aren’t able to evade properly, and it also encourages people to actually rez teammates, since they can’t just run back into the fight.

True, but 250 charged lodestones right now is roughly 1000 gold.

To make a similar Legendary, for instance, Bolt, would cost me roughly 350 gold in lodestones, and the rest I mostly have gotten from playing the game.

Its not the regular mats that are really holding people back from a lot of the nicer looking weapons, its the lodestones.

I really think they need to adjust lodestone drops.

They need to kick out a lot of the older TP listings too, as 80% of the lodestones actually listed right now (not the ones that get posted and are immediately sold) Are set at a price that is not even close to the going rate right now.

Also, the ONLY Infinite Light on the TP is listed at 2000 gold, which is right around what the Legendaries are going for.

Why do some Exotic weapons cost more than Legendaries? Legendaries are supposed to be the rarest skins, and yet I see multitudes of them, and I’ve only ever run across Infinite Light ONCE, and never seen a Mjolnir.

This is kitten backwards. It should not cost 2.5 times the lodestones for an exotic than a Legendary weapon.

Guardian elites. The tome’s don’t really last long enough, and the heals on the tome either do very little, or take too long to cast to where the people you were trying to heal are dead, or you get knocked out of the cast, and by the time you can cast it again, the tome is gone.

I dunno why you guys are having problems, probably just that thing called bad luck.

We’ve run 3 different dungeons and multiple different fractal levels in my guild, and randomly gotten rares, exotics, blues and greens, with each person getting multiples of each. Its random.

Can go a run and get 1 or 2 rares, another with 3 or 4, then 1 with no rares.

So why would anyone play an MMO and not want to do anything that involves the MM part of said MMO… Don’t get it.

Dungeons are easy, the easiest ones can be completed in 30 mins, even if you have never been before and are willing to listen and learn.

If you find a group that ISN’T doing speed clears, then you will be better off, since they will probably be more patient with you. Stop hating the game for being multiplayer, or find a different game.

As long as you follow your immersion and spend 15 minutes every 30 or so feet you rise from the bottom on the deepest waters. Otherwise that would break your immersion.

You also have to wear heavily insulated clothes while diving in deep areas or cold water. And you can’t wear any heavy plate armor while swimming.

Its working for us, you have to get a few combo hits in, not the finish itself. at 50% on the fields now

Its the number of files, not file size that determines the percentage. the pats was 1166 MBs for me

I sure hope anyone with this attitude towards female objectification who has made a male toon made him kinda chubby and not with that prince charming face or hair. Otherwise there would be some serious hypocrisy going on in this thread.

The problem is that the majority of armors IS non-sexy. I don’t really get the point of this thread anymore.

Just because you see a lot of people in the sexy stuff doesn’t mean there isn’t any non-sexy, it just means that’s the way they want their character to look. I don’t have my guardian in skimpy clothes, because its Lenneth, and it doesn’t work. My Mesmer has some sexy clothes, but she’s a Mesmer, and it fits.

You can’t say all of the armor is sexual, or there aren’t any decent armors that cover, when the truth of the matter is that the non sexy outfits far outnumber the sexy ones.

The problem with what you are saying about objectification would be valid if EVERY SINLGE OUTFIT was skimpy and tried to make the female character look perfect and sexy. But it doesn’t. There are roughly 6 or 7 out of dozens that do that. There are other options already for you, even if it doesn’t have the same name as the male counterpart, so I fail to see the reason for this topic.

Its like complaining about bikini’s in a swimwear shop, even though they have hundreds of other outfits to choose from.

i bet you read the first 2 or maybe 3 posts than jumped to your conclusion. clearly there are a lot of posts like this where we have opinion just based on assumptions. somehow people don’t care what other people have to say about anything in the forum but own’s opinion is the final verdict…

i think a lot of the “few” posters that complain about this made very good points for their argument and i suggest you read their opinion first.

I didn’t dismiss, I disagree. In terms of what the thread is about, having too many skimpy clothes, they are incorrect. In terms of objectification, that is irrelevant to the thread and is off topic.

This thread is about how there are too many skimpy clothes for women, and how the outfits do not mirror the male counterparts, which is wrong.

Look through it, and you will see that nearly every SINGLE set of female armor is almost a mirror image of its male equivalent. Browse through the other tiers of armor. Light is the same, and so is medium. There is a few differences here and there, to make it look more appealing, but for the most part it is identical.

Also, if you browse one of the armor galleries, you will find that most gear does resemble itself on the other gender, with minor differences, the only ones that really change are the cultural sets, which make sense. The female cultural armor SHOULD be different from the male cultural.

If a zone server crashes, you sometimes lose progress, this has happened to me several times in hirathi hinterlands a few weeks ago. They fixed whatever the bug was and I haven’t had it happen there since.

Its not something they did intentionally, but the result of a server failure.

People play games to escape reality, in one form or another.

What gives YOU the right to say what people can do in their game, and how they can dress their character?

If you don’t like the way they made the clothing in this game look, then suck it up and ignore what you don’t like, you have no right to say that everyone else can’t enjoy finding a set of clothes that they like for their character.

This isn’t real life, this isn’t the objectification of women, its a kittening game.

You can still get burned in water. It doesn’t break physics, so they can leave it alone.

I want an Infinite Light for my guardian, but the temples are never open on my server, and theres no way I am spending 1000-1100 gold on lodestones for an Exotic skin. ANet needs to either reduce the required lodestones for the infinite light and Mjolnir, or make them more accessible. I think its actually cheaper to craft a legendary than it is to craft one of those. >.>

There needs to be a topic requesting less lame looking male clothes, since GW2 portrays a lot of really lame looking male outfits, and that is offensive.

Yeah, this morning the shield was up and there were VERY few players doing the event, 2nd time I did the Claw, the shield is in the ground again. And I have also noticed the first time the shield pops after a patch or reset, the shield is up.

They have bar’s over their heads, or when you target them. Its already there.

I don’t want to have to PAY to send stuff to my friends. Instead they can add in a requested gold for item feature to the mail, where you have the option of asking for the agreed upon price, where if the person does not, they can return to sender only, but if they do agree, they can click obtain, and the system will deduct and send said amount directly to the seller.

Enough gold sinks in game already, don’t need any more thank you.

Actually, most of the sets for Light armor cover more than they show… Not really sure where the gripe comes from.

Same here, it only recently started dropping to this. I have 2 GTX-570’s in SLI, and run the game flawlessly in other areas, but it drastically drops here, almost to being unplayable, and it was a recent change, in the last 2-3 weeks

I’d care more for the skins that require 250 charged lodestones like Infinite Light, where it would currently cost you over 1000 gold just for that 1 exotic. That to me is ridiculous, when you can get a legendary for ALMOST cheaper than that.

Iunno, in GW1 it was all about the builds, if you didn’t have the specific one everyone wanted, you didn’t get in a party.

If they gave you everything cheap, and you had nothing to work towards, what would be the point?

The on;y time I ever went to cursed shore was to complete the map, I have NEVER farmed there at all.

Its an mmo, they have things called quests. You do these to level and get money. Otherwise you grind. Same with dungeons. Gear in this game is cheaper than gear in other mmo’s relative to level and difficulty of acquisition.

If you don’t like it, then GW is probably not the game for you.

Basic stats would be whites. Not exotics.

I have 3 level 80s fully geared in exotics, and I never had an issue getting money for it, doing lots of dungeon runs or world completion gets you quite a bit of gold. If you just go the quickest way to 80 and don’t do any dungeons at all, you might have a hard time getting some money, but it’s not that bad.

The point on the skins is that they only have 1 single stat combination, and most people would not use said combination, so they are simply relegated to skins.

As for why I brought up dungeons, TC stated that it cost a ton of gold to get gear, where if you do dungeons, it does not cost you any gold to gear except for trinkets. You could also level up crafting yourself and get gear that way.

Buying gear off the trade post is not the only way to get gear.

Since gold is so readily available in the game, if MAX tier gear was cheaper, it would just be holding your hand and saying “Here, have some free armor, why should you work at it?” As it is, gear is cheap enough, and they don’t need to change a thing.

Those sets you mention are for the skins and the skins only. They do not really factor in to the rest of the equation. As for getting other gear, do you not run dungeons? You can get level 80 exotics practically for free if you run a lot of dungeons, and make money doing it.

It takes roughly 2-4 weeks to level a character to 80, which is relatively fast. Gear prices are fine, the only thing that needs to change are lodestone drop rates. They do need more ways to complete the hearts, but that’s about it.
